Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 6 | Barry Micron | Barrington Garwood | Roots reggae singer Barry Micron (Barrington Garwood) was born in Manchester, Jamaica. His father was a Baptist preacher at the local Baptist church. He started singing at the age of 10 when he was a member of the choir group in his hometown Baptist church. As a teenager, he started to grow interest in reggae music. At 20 years old, he was working part time selling and distributing reggae albums and records to local record stores for top reggae singers at that time, like Bob Marley’s “Natty Dread” album and also distribute Burning Spear’s albums. This was the time, by associating with Bob Marley, Burning Spear, Ras Michael, Barry accepted the Rastafarian way of life, and became a Rastaman. Three of his five brothers, including Barry, decided to form their own reggae group called “GARWOOD BROTHERS” in the 1970s. (‘Garwood’ is Barry’s family name) The “Garwood Brothers” working with Micron Music Ltd., created 8 singles after becoming professional at the Harry J Recording studio in Jamaica. Some of their singles included well-known tracks like “Deepest Love”, “Everything” “Never let go” and more. In the 1980s Barry went Solo with the new name Barry Micron. His solo career led him to become a chorus singer for well known reggae artists like Gregory Isaacs in the song “Mr. Cops”. He also did a duet song with the famous Sugar Minot titled “This ‘Ol man” and also continued his singing career with other major artists like Junior Byle. In 1996, Barry Micron started working on releasing his first album in Jamaica. After finishing recording all 13 tracks on the album, Barry Micron came to Japan in 1998 to release his first album titled “PRAISE JAH” , Praise Jah was released in Japan summer of 1999. The album “Praise Jah” has hit songs like “Love of King Selasse”, “Mandela”, “Praise Jah”. This is Barry’s comment about the release of his first album: “This album, “Praise Jah”, gave me the courage to move on and let people know that there is an Almighty One who all should give praises to. It’s an album of peace and to spread good vibrations to all the nations.” After his first album, Barry Micron went to work on his second album. “FREE MARIJUANA” which was released in December 2000 with hit songs like “Free Marijuana”, “What do they get”, “Africa is calling” and many more. The same year he vocal in a track with the famous Japanese pop reggae group, “3 pint 6 milk” album. In March the same year, Barry Micron returned from Israel on a reggae tour called “Zion Tour”. His 3rd Album came in 2003 titled “We Are One” dedicated to the concept of One Love. Since coming to Japan in 1998, Barry Micron has been busy doing live shows around Japan. Search | Add | 6 | Alice Detrick | Alice M. Detrick | Alice Detrick, born Alice Mulks and who for a time worked under the name [a=Janece Morgan], was born in Slaterville Springs, NY, on 17 July 1940 to Omar and Emma Mulks. She started performing country and rockabilly music professionally while a student at Ithaca High School, both as a solo artist and with the country band [a=The Tune Twisters (4)] of the Binghamton, NY area, with whom she played and sang regularly on radio stations WINR (Binghamton, NY) and WENE (Endicott, NY). Morgan's big break came at age 16, when she auditioned for [a=Dusty Owens] of the WWVA Jamboree and spent much of the summer of 1956 touring with him. It was Owens who gave her the stage name Janece Morgan, which he said came to him in a dream. Sometime after that tour, she dropped the alias and used her married name [a=Alice Detrick] as a performer and recording artist. She went on as an opening act for tours with [a=Loretta Lynn], [a=Roy Clark], [a=Charley Pride], and [a=The Charlie Daniels Band] and performed with [a=Lynn Anderson] at the Halogaland Country Music Festival in Norway. For 20 years Morgan was known as the “FMCA Sweetheart,” accompanying the Family Motor Coach Association conventions around the United States. In 1985 she was inducted into the New York State Country Music Hall of Fame. As Janece Morgan she recorded several tracks in the 1950s for the label [l=Marlee Record Co.] in Trumansburg, NY, mostly in the country and rockabilly styles. As [a=Alice Detrick], she had several releases including a single on [l=ABC Records]. She died on 22 September 2022 in Montour Falls, NY, at the age of 82. |

Exchange of sound bits and points of view resulted in a common project early 2009. The concept was strangely clear from the beginning. The order was to reflect topics like flickering televisions, urban traffic pollution, disaffection, humdrum in everyday life, resulting in despair and a bit of confidence. Without being pathetic. It was no question how the music should sound. A hail to the past combined with a glimpse into the future, dominated by the situation of today. The time is Traffic A.M.

Search | Add | 6 | Franco Verini | Italian pop singer born in Città Di Castello, Perugia, in 1957, he made his debut in his hometown while still a child at the "Ugoletta d’Oro" festival, with the participation of the RCA Orchestra. He played in bands in the Alta Valtiberina area: first the Siros, then the Vibrocementi where he stayed for several years and with which he performed in many clubs in Central Italy. The meeting with Ivan Graziani, at the end of the 1970s, made him realize he was creating his own identity, trying not to imitate other more famous singers. Collaborating with his friend Lanfranco Perini, he then began to write songs. On the occasion of a concert by Francesco De Gregori in Città di Castello, he met the Roman songwriter and proposed him a tape with his own songs. The tape reached Vincenzo Micocci who soon called him to Rome to record the first 7": "Stella". It was 1984. In the following years Franco Verini alternated his own recording activity with production activities with the compilation "Il Vecchio vestito di Nuovo" for the Globo label. At the end of the 1980s, with Marcello Marini, he set up a show called "Canzoni Italiane", with a history of the Italian song during the 1900s, toured in Argentina and in many European countries. He's still active today.

In 1981, the last LP was recorded, with Itajaíba Mattana and Rivadávia Barreto, also featuring Itajaíba's brother, Ubirajara Mattana. Search | Add | 6 | Hawks Do Not Share | An Indie/Alternative Rock band from Portland, Oregon : George Lewis III (Vocals, Bass, Programming), Jeremy Wilkins (Keyboards, Programming), Britt White (Keyboards, Percussion, Backing Vocals), Jason Roark (Guitar) George Lewis III and Jeremy Wilkins are no strangers to each other. The two multi-instrumentalists have been collaborating in the studio and onstage in a variety of projects since the early ‘00s. So, in 2012, when Lewis asked his longtime friend to help put together some material for his solo project The Other Also, there wasn’t any idea that it would go beyond a new EP. But when they started collaborating, the mood shifted away from Lewis’ acoustic-based tendencies and towards more programmed beats, glistening synth tones, and electronic-based production. Once they realized they were doing something entirely new, it only made sense to give it its own name: Hawks Do Not Share. The band has only grown in strength and numbers since then. The two were joined by another strong musical presence, and an incredible solo artist in her own right, Britt White, who adds her lovely vocals as well as guitar and keyboard textures to the mix. With all the pieces in place, Hawks Do Not Share released their debut, full-length HDNS. The 10 tracks on this self-produced, self-released LP are lush pop gems, emanating the kind of warmth that makes you want to curl up and bask in. The guitars shimmer like an early 4AD Records fever dream and the songs get buoyed on delicate waves of keyboard melodies. Warmly received by local and national press, the band went on to give several performances in support of their debut album. To hear him tell it, Portland guitarist Jason Roark fell in love with the band during their record release show at the Doug Fir. Shortly thereafter, Jason expressed interest in adding more guitar. Unbeknownst to him, Britt was thrilled by the prospect of putting down the guitar to focus on her preferred instruments, keyboards and vocals. Now a four-piece, Hawks Do Not Share are currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on a forthcoming EP, "Polaris".

Search | Add | 6 | Miomir Grujić Fleka | Miomir Grujić – Fleka was a phenomenon in the urban culture of the 1980s and 1990s in Serbia, pushing many of the perceived boundaries of artistic creation. He launched a number of initiatives that had a strong influence on the development of urban culture. Among these were Klub Akademija (Club Academia), Radio Šišmiš (Bat Radio), and the Urbazona project. In the magazines and newspapers he edited or contributed to, he presented provocative and committed articles and graphic content. He worked as a visual artist from the mid to late 1980s, bringing to the existing art scene a different sensibility and attitude to artistic creation. At the end of the 1980s, because of his visual impairment, a new phase of performance and social engagement began, primarily through the unique audio format Radio Šišmiš (Bat Radio) and the Urbazone movement. He often referred to himself as “Public Clandestine” and explained this seemingly meaningless expression thus: “It indicates all the absurdity and inverted meaning which has been the hallmark of our reality. Any attempt to rebel with a different opinion causes indescribable suspicion in the environment.” “The artist is a public clandestine. The artist as a process, radiation that endures regardless of whether it is noted or ignored. Nonsense and absurdity, irony and cynicism are the features of the current reality, and at the same time the best means of unmasking and fighting against that kind of reality.”
