Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Sandra Karina | Alexandra Gavaiskaya | Sandra Karina was born Alexandra Gavaiskaya in 1908 on the shores of the vast Lake Baikal in Siberia, where her father was stationmaster. Alexandra was the second daughter born to the young couple stationed far away from their home region of Rostov on the Don. In 1910, her father was transferred to the Russian built city of Harbin, in Manchuria, where he directed the railway's export department until his death in 1913. His widow and the two girls stayed on in Harbin where the mother found work at the export department after the Russian Revolution of 1917 wiped out the family's savings. It was a child in Harbin that Alexandra heard such famous singers as Karinskaya and Vertinsky and determined that she, too, would be a singer. Alexandra sang constantly, teaching herself by listening to the recordings of these famous artists and singing along with them. She also took her first voice lessons in Harbin. Her older sister Nina, an accomplished pianist, would provide accompaniment on the piano. Threatened by the Japanese occupation of Manchuria, the small family was encouraged by friends to move to Tientsin, China, which had a large Russian colony. Many had moved there as the Revolution swept across Russia, and much of the retreating White Army and their families, many Don Cossaks among them, took refuge in Northern China. Finding herself in Tientsin at the age of thirteen, Alexandra enjoyed the life of teenager: studying ballet, music, playing tennis, and attending a French Catholic high school for girls. In 1927 she married Basil J. Koulaeff, an artist and son of a prominent Russian business man. In the early 1930's they had a daughter, Elena, and soon the whole family moved to the United States where they all became U.S.citizens. Settling in Hollywood, California, Alexandra participated in the social life of the Russian-American community centered around the Russian Orthodox Church and the film industry. At that time, a good number of Russians were employed by the Hollywood studios as scenic artists, musicians, actors, dancers, and directors. Many found their way to the parties at Alexandra's home. She sang on stage, in films, and in a Russian nightclub on the Sunset Strip, that was frequented by the movie stars of the 1940's. It was at this time that she took the stage name of Sandra Karina. In 1946, Sandra Karina joined the USO group called the Russion Revels -- an award winning group of musicians, dancers, and singers directed by pianist Sergei Malavsky. Having separated from her husband, she was free to tour the United States performing in Veteran's Hospitals for two years. During the USO tour she was able to visit with Nastia Poliakova in New York and renewed a friendship that had begun years earlier. Nastia advised Sandra on the rendition of several songs and taught her the lyrics in the Gypsy language. Returning to Hollywood, she met and married engineer Michael Graves (born Michael Glushkov) a fellow Russian from China. She continued to sing and give concerts, and in 1954 she recorded the songs in this CD. Michael's young son Nicholas came to live with them and Sandra devoted herself to her family. Michael's work as a structural engineer took them all over the country to states such as Washington, Pennsylvania, and Mississippi where they lived for a number of years, finally setting back to the Hollywood Hills where Sandra Karina lived till she died in 2000. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Vienna Improvisers Orchestra | Vienna Improvisers Orchestra, Michael Fischer (4) | The Vienna Improvisers Orchestra works on absolutely ad hoc created instant compositions. The Vienna Improvisers Orchestra's praxis of Instant Composition Conducting is based on a hand-sign vocabulary, in continuity with Lawrence D. Butch Morris' method 'Conduction', and has been developed by the VIO's artistic director and instant composition conductor Michael Fischer including absolute ad hoc creation by the ensemble as well as the conductor, no prepared or agreed parts/designs, no rehearsals but only a short try-out of the hand-signs before the concert, Instant Compositions unfold within 35-50 minutes, each concert presents a new ensemble constellation and usually also at least one new musician. The VIO has been a guest at festivals such as the Moers Festival, Wien Modern, Artacts Festival, at the Klima Biennale Wien, the Porgy & Bess Vienna and spaces of the contemporary fine arts such as Künstlerhaus Wien, Belvedere21, Vienna Art Week Festival and others. The VIO was founded in 2004 by [a=Michael Fischer (4)], who is its instant composition conductor and artistic director since then. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Orchestra IN-stabile DIS/accordo | The Orchestra In-stabile Dis/Accordo [O.I.D.] was founded by Luca Lo Bianco and Francesco Guaiana and represents one of the most significant and innovative experiences produced in Italy in recent years and is able to transport the audience into an emotional and unpredictable musical event. By using a non conventional method of directing the orchestra, which is known worldwide as ‘conduction’, and using signs, gestures and also written melodic lines, the audience can witness the music being born right there and is an active protagonist of the creative procedure. The O.I.D. stems from the expressive urgency of a new generation of improvisers, looking for a creative form crossing all languages and not necessarily falling under any label. The orchestra recorded two cd 'Live at Mikalsa Vol.1' and 'Live in Hamburg' recorded live at the prestigious 'Hamburg Jazz Tage' in Germany by Norddeutscher Rundfunk. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Band Of Nowhere | Band Of Nowhere is a new constellation project by [a=Juanjo Sánchez], together with other collaborators with whom he had previously worked. It is worth mentioning [a=Bob Drake] on drums, former member of the legendary formation [a=Thinking Plague] (also on [a=Hail], [a=5UU's], [a=The Science Group]) who has also mastered the project from their studio in the Midi-Pyrénées and also to mention the guitarist [a=Jordi Cabayol] ([a=Camino al Desvan]) both Juanjo and Jordi began their career in a significant band of Barcelona of the early eighties, such as [a=Entr'acte]. The becoming of Juanjo Sánchez would take him to other latitudes as a member of [a=Alondra Satori] and without losing the lighthouse of his city, he would collaborate with other outstanding musicians such as [a=Quicu Samsó] ([a=Koniec], [a=Macromassa]). The fluidity and chromaticism of his previous album [r16071631] is still perceived in here, but in a much more electrified way with guitars that are sometimes expansive, other times exuberant wrapped up with contagious synthesizer modulations and very marked rhythms. The production and especially the arrangements are fantastic with those special presences of synthesizers that are not common around here. Its original improvisation and experimentation is skilfully adjusted by Juanjo Sánchez, giving a much more playful result with unexpected combinations, very much in continuity with a certain European Art Rock such as Aksak Maboul, Etron Fou, Zamla,The Work or the mischievous resonances of The League of Gentlemen; all this mapping the sound transit, to an unpredictable and vibrant non-place.
