Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | The Simon Hopper Band | Simon Hopper is a singer / songwriter who has been on the folk / roots scene for some time. A few years ago he ran the now defunct Bromley Acoustic Music Club and in 2006 re - emerged with his band. The four piece consists of Simon on acoustic guitar, Leigh Trowbridge on electric guitar, Andee Price electric bass and mandolin and John Fisher on drums (bigger venues and recording). Andee is classically trained and all four perform vocals. We are asked to file the music under jazz-influenced acoustic and soul-based folk rock. I thought it a sandwich of love songs and enigmatic political diatribes, pleasantly produced, nicely played and with a fairly obvious folk influence. The lyrics are contained in the accompanying booklet. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Vinka Ellesin | Vinka Ellesin was a folk singer who sang Serbian music in the sevdalinka style. The national Serbian community referred to her as the Queen of Sevdalinka. She was born to Serbian immigrants, Djoka and Sophia (Soka) Ellesin, in Akron, Ohio around 1921. By the age of 16, she was singing on a nationally broadcast radio show on WADC. Later, she performed at the Black Whale, a well-known club in Cleveland. In 1938, the bandleader Sammy Kaye invited her to audition to be the lead vocalist in his orchestra, but she turned him down, preferring to continue singing Serbian folk music instead. During World War II, Ellesin performed at the Blue Danube and the Russian Samovar in Detroit, Mich. where she lived. Ellesin stayed in the Pittsburgh area for an extended period of time in the early 1950s while she performed nightly at the Sunrise Inn in Monroeville, Pa. During the 1930s through the 1970s, Ellesin toured throughout North America and Australia while returning to Pittsburgh many times to perform at local Serb National Federation events. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Dreamland Circus | Dreamland Circus is the inspired lovechild of long time friends and collaborators [a=Vagrant (3)], and [a=Shady Monk] (David Gravagno). Driven by their shared love and appreciation for the iconic experimental/ambient/IDM electronic duo [a=Boards of Canada] (brothers Michael Sandison and Marcus Eoin), the two set out on creating a full length tribute, aimed at honoring the nostalgic sounds and otherworldly vibes associated with BoC*, and after some meticulous tinkering, their first album 'Wonderphase' was complete. 'Wonderphase' was originally release on [l=Eyesix Records] in 2015, but following some unfortunate information that came to light regarding the labels director, and the subsequent disappearance of the label & it's respective platforms, the album was officially unavailable for the better part of 2 years. After some time, thought, and the apparent desire from fans of the release to see it reissued, Dreamland Circus did just that, and re-released the album via their own personal Bandcamp page on July 4th, 2017. The following is a forum post by [a=Vagrant (3)] via the twoism.org (BoC fan website) on the subject: (Tue Jul 04, 2017 8:53 pm) "After the fiasco with Eyesix, our album Wonderphase had no download available. Since then, we have decided to take it upon ourselves to set up a nice pay-what-you-want Bandcamp page for the album. I want to personally thank everyone who pushed us to get this album out again. It means a lot to see such enthusiasm for a project that took quite a long time to complete, made as a passion project and inspired both by the Sandison brothers and the wonderful community that thrives on sites like Twoism. We hope you enjoy the album." | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Engelsharven | Engelsharven surfaced in 1988 as a five piece band with their first release Death in the Silence. Intent on pushing the barriers of Heavy Metal, the band made little fuss of popular of style or lyrical contents of guitar based rock music. With the departure of their lead guitarist and vocalist in 1989, the core of the band continued on with Tänon Guitar/Vocals, Rhino Bass and C.C. Fly Drums. Their self produced 1990 release Im Griff followed up where Death in the Silence had left off. The big break, however came in 1992 when the CD All Harved Up was released. Recorded live in studio with GB Producer Martin Pearson, the CD found them combining complex song structures with killer riffs on top of a hammering drum beat. The CD was followed up with nummerous live shows that ensured them a large following throughout Switzerland. 1993 saw them with two more releases, the aptly titeld Unplugged, witch again was a live recording and the studio recording Hardturm. The latter recording also introduced a new lead voocalist, Kiki. With the band now freed up to concentrate fully on their instruments, the already tight songs became absolute killer songs However the sheer power of Engelsharven is best experieced live. | |

After four months of rehearsal as a three piece, founding members Aaron Abalos (ex-tirade), Mario Mercado (ex, insanecore) and Jeremy Portz (ex-serberus) recorded a three song demo. After promoting and auditioning, Synthetic recruited Jared Slain (dj milpothefast) and completed the debut album vision. During the recording process and soon after Synthetic Delusion played many successful live shows with the help of Nick Lawhorn (ion) on guitars. In early 2003, Nick departed from the band and Eric Bloomquist (ex-tirade) and Atom Vex (ex-typecast) were recruited to handle guitars and complete the lineup. At present Synthetic Delusion has signed a promotion deal with indiego promotions and a management deal with Unknown Entertainment. Synthetic Delusion is now getting out to the west coast and soon to the east, in support of their album Vision. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Ketill Jensson | Icelandic tenor singer, born in 1925 in Reykavík, died in 1994. He was one of Iceland's most promising singers in the middle of the century. His singing ability was questioned and several sponsors paid for his three-year singing studies in Milan, Italy, where he studied with several other Icelanders around and before the 1950s. Ketill came home and sang publicly with a good reputation, he went back to Italy twice for further singing studies and in 1955 two albums were released with his solo singing accompanied by Fritz Weisshappell, they contained, among other things, music from the opera Cavalleria Rusticana which he sang in here on Iceland, but he also sang one of the roles in the operetta Leðurblákunn around that time. Furthermore, an album was released in 1956 where he sang together with Guðrúna Á. Simon and the National Theater Choir. At this time, Ketil's singing career was at its peak and all his singing paths seemed straight and wide ahead. But after that he stopped singing for some reasons that are not entirely known. It is known that projects were scarce at that time and Ketill could not survive on singing alone here at home, and so he went to study fish assessment and then worked at Ríkismati marine products for years, which may also have something to say but there followed by both irregular working hours and absences from home. He also got into a scene due to a singing job at the National Theater and seems to have decided not to sing anymore, but it is not entirely clear. Ketill therefore stopped all public singing for about thirty years, but then appeared unexpectedly in 1986 with a new album called Ketill Jensson singur: Jónas Ingimundarson and Fritz Weisshappel play along on the piano. On that album, you could find the old recordings as well as new ones made in the Hlégarð community center. The album, which Ketill released himself, received fair criticism from the music critics of DV, Tímans and Morgunblaðinn, who all agreed that there was more in the older recordings, although the voice was certainly still there. It can be said that external circumstances have shackled Katli and his singing career has become much less than it could have been otherwise. He also faced another shock in his life when he lost one of his sons in a fire so that his life was strewn with thorns. The tenor singer [a7062637] is his son, and his nephews are the brothers [a7304262] and [a996771]. | |
