Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 12 | The Sky Colony | Bellingham, Washington Psychedelic folk / indie rock with purpose The Sky Colony were an indie folk rock group, focused on what matters most to them: simply creating wholesome music with real instruments, and more importantly, their intention behind doing so. Since their formation in 2012, the story behind the lyrics of their 1960’s reminiscent sound had organically grown into one of personal empowerment, discovery, and social awareness. Authentic and heartfelt lyrics, intricate tonal harmonies, catchy hooks, and well-practiced guitar leads are what you’ll hear of this group from Skagit Valley, Washington. The Sky Colony’s first full-length album ,"In A Dream", was released in February, 2015, and featured Master’s College banjo extraordinaire Molly Hazel and brilliant drummer dad Jeff Lacy. The title was publicized with blog coverage and radio play at stations worldwide. “It’s a mixture of the call of the Cascadian wilderness and an the 60's psychedelia era” (Tom Franks, Folkwords UK). Time upon time it has been deemed unique. “They create a sound of luminous spirituality that sets a fire in the mind." (Scot Casey, What’s Up Magazine). Music critics were interested in “a lack of special effects, just pure musicianship.” (John Apice, No Depression). Since then, personnel shifts had landed the full-time band member lineup of the founders Kyle Findley-Meier (rhythm guitar, lead vocal) and Ben Meyer (lead guitar, vocal), along with Jeff Lacy (drums, vocal), and Marcus Nevitt (keys, lap steel, vocal). “We’ve had a lot of great crews in this band. This feels like the one, though.” says Findley-Meier. “We are good friends, kinda brothers with a mission. It’s important to all of us to create substantial lyrics and music that makes us feel something.” Now, their second full-length album, “All of Us” is has been released. Recorded by Pacific Northwest studio master Michael Iris in the Cascade foothills’ Bell Creek Studio, featuring a smattering of skillful musicians and friends from the area, the record is a true call out to the band’s influential roots. “It’s kind of our response to both not releasing anything for a while, and how much everything has changed since then.” Findley-Meier says. “All of us know how important this project is in our lives, seeing what art can do to inspire us to come together in strange times of adversity. It’s our homage to the music that inspired us the most from the 60’s, when rapid social change led by art was as necessary as it is now.” Finally, the band played their last show in September, 2020, amidst a shift in the world and members going forward to seek their place in a new paradigm of existence. The final statement from the band: "The Sky Colony were already having hard times as a band entity. Many friend-band-businesses with likewise moderate successes were calling it quits due to lack of all-around ticket and merch sales, and then the paradigm of the music world was completely decimated along with many other aspects of the 'old world'. Being attuned to the way things were heading, we were, in full honesty, ready to let it go. Now, we give one last farewell as Skagit's wholesome folk-rock group, one born with the starry eyes of the bands from the early 70's, to let the old world die. As the core members Kyle, Ben, and Jeff move on from one another and accept the new pathways presented, we are being brought much light and peace, along with new creativity with music. This virtual show will feature an hour set, 10 songs selected from our entire catalogue, with verbal memories and connections from the band, ending with a perfect finale of a song never released, 'This Is It'. We have had eight years of wonderful support from many radiant humans. It was an honor to see your faces while we did. To all of you, from all of us, Thank you."

Search | Add | 12 | Han Hong | Hán Hóng | Singer/songwriter of ethnic Tibetan and Han Chinese origin, born in Xigaze in 1971. Her mother is a well known Tibetan folk singer and although she wanted to follow in her mother's steps, a love for pop music made her chose a different path. Her music mainly deals with Tibetan themes but she is also influenced by Jazz, R-n-B, Rock-n-Roll and Latin music, which are all reflected in her work. She is able to shift quite easily from piercing high pitches to soft low tones. Han Hong is also one of the few famous singers in China who is also an accomplished songwriter. Since she started composing in 1993 she has written a number of popular songs for other singers. The rise to stardom came unexpected to many people in her surroundings since she didn't have the typical looks associated with a successful popstar. She has now established her own label intending to explore and train more talented singers, giving them a helping hand on the rocky road. Search | Add | 12 | Fojetta | Vincenzo Foglietta | Vincenzo Foglietta, aka Fojetta (Foligno, July 29, 1940 - Foligno, March 22, 1980), was an Italian singer-songwriter, musician and radio host.He began his musical passion at the age of 16, performing in various Italian and French venues. In 1964 he reached Milan, the city of Italian discography par excellence, signing a recording contract with Alberto Airoldi's Durium, which offered some of his 45 rpm recordings: "Voglio cambia aria/l denti" Durium Ld A 7734 (1971), songs censored in Italy, but engraved in Spanish, German, French, English and even in Slavic, obtaining a good response abroad. In what was then Yugoslavia it sold more than 300,000 copies, reaching the top of sales, while in Argentina it was chosen as the theme song for important pop music television broadcasts. This success was followed by another 45 rpm records. In 1972, again Durium - Ld A 7763 "L'associazione/ll corno rosso". In 1974 he recorded for Durium Ld A 7861 "Me ne Vado in campagna/Suga suga. In 1975 Durium "Cocca mia/Lu telefunu". Inspired by nature, he travels around the countryside, recording everything that can inspire him traditional-popular music and this is exactly what made him plan the album entitled "Dall' Umbria con...folclore" recorded and distributed by Durium ms M 77329 in 1973. It was precisely this recording project that made him assign the "Paroliere" award by the music critics held in Monticelli Terme in Parma for 3 consecutive years. Numerous times guest in national television broadcasts, arriving to personally conduct radio programs of Radio Montecarlo. In 1977 Durium released the 45 RPM records "La vita è bella/Ma che confusione". As well as "L'ascesa" and "La storia della vita". Following the successes obtained, Fojetta was preparing a new 33 rpm work, based on new research into traditional music, but all this could not see the light due to his early death. |

Search | Add | 12 | August Albo | August Albo (11 September 1893 Suurupi, Harju County – 13 December 1963 New York City, USA) was an Estonian artist who studied at the Russian Royal Academy of Art but lived most of his life in New York City. The actual date of his death is unknown, most sources saying 1963 (which is most likely correct), although some individuals claim that they commissioned him to do portraits well into the 1980s. The details of his life are obscure, with no sure sources, but most seem to agree that he painted for the Czar in Moscow before the Russian Revolution. As a young man, he was also said to have been a ballet dancer (which may account for some of his most known work being of ballerinas), and a professional violinist. During the beginning of his painting career, he focused on abstract art. However, through appreciation for works from the old school of painting, he started painting with more realism. He was a very versatile artist, and could paint any given subject with incredible detail. He painted all over the world, particularly in cities with renowned ballets, such as Paris, Moscow, and Berlin. His most famous work was "Free as the Wind", a painting depicting running horses. There are believed to be only 5 of these original "Free as the Wind" paintings in existence. He is also known for his ballerina paintings. One of his lesser known works was of Merike Sheinkin as a child, and he also painted a scene called "Ocean Views" depicting two small boats on a rocky beach. It is uncertain what his real name was, but he would often sign paintings as "Rod Palmer" or "A. Curtis" in addition to simply "Albo".

Search | Add | 12 | Robert Q. Lee | US soul artist from the Indiana area. Robert was a talented, song writer, producer and artist. He grew up in 1960’s Gary, Indiana and was school boy friend’s with Gordon Keith and Ben Brown, so when they stated their own record label, it was no surprise that he signed to them. He had form a group, Robert Lee & The Exquisites and had been playing gigs around the city and on Chicago’s south side which in fact was only 10 miles away over the state line. His one release on the label got some play on local radio stations, but didn’t sell that well. By the early 70’s his talents as a producer had grown and he was often called on by other local groups to work with them. His next move was under the name of Lost Weekend another vocally stylish harmony group, who released on his own Lost Weekend records and one release on the Chicago label U.S.A. He then changed his recording name to General Lee and with his latest group The Space Army Band recorded three more 45’s on his label including the currently popular ‘Pleasure’. He spent another few years touring with this set up before retiring from the business.

(Pisma S Iznanki, PSI – Letters From The Inner Side) saw the light once in summer night 2004 in an empty room somewhere in Moscow, Russia. Its name has appeared of its own accord, from nowhere, and has fastened tightly to the project. Initially, harsh digital noise was the basic guideline for PSI, but soon project push the envelope and embrace all fields of post-industrial. Now (2008) PSI is going to create gloom and brutal soundscapes that put the listener in a horror world of his own dismal remembrances. Neither occultism nor abstract researches are the inspiration source for PSI but awful russian reality that’s around us: repeating hell of everyday life, dull insanity, loneliness, hopeless gloom from inside and thousands of personal apocalypses that are going on every minute all around – all that things without rules and dogmata inspire PSI. |

Search | Add | 12 | Oblivious Artefacts | Oblivious Artefacts visual art and much more. We are a collective working in Roma, Palermo, Berlin. Oblivious Artefacts is a visual experiment, a collaboration between Ignazio Mortellaro, Rosanna Costantino, Marco Morici, José Florentino, Glauco Marino and Luca Mortellaro. Their work explores the dynamics between people and the use of space, and the interaction of natural and fabricated environments. The medium of video acts as a tool for investigating the perception of images, invoking moods that range from the surreal to the objective. Technology is kept to a minimum and technical restriction is imposed in order to release creativity. Mortellaro and Costantino take influence from early C20th experimental cinema where utterly iconic imagery was created despite huge technological constraints. Each Oblivious VJ set or AV performance involves the use of original material and forms an ongoing research into human anatomy and landscapes. Oblivious Artefacts is also a visual label, have also worked with outstanding underground labels, including Prologue, Edit Select, Ear to Ground, Meerestief , Lineal Records. 2009 sees Oblivious join the Stroboscopic Artefacts family, a Berlin based techno label where they are the resident graphic designers; realising the entire design concepts from 12” artwork to video teasers to VJ sets.

Search | Add | 12 | Φυτά | ΦΥΤΑ | ΦΥΤΑ (plants) split in November 2013 after a frantic course in the field of botanical music/art creativity. What would one mostly remember of the scandalous path of the adventurous duo from northern Greece! The songs that talked about all pessing human issues and were so loved by ordinary people and critics? The partnerships with household names of the Greek-speaking music scene? The shimmering guests that honoured with their presence their historical (now) first concert? Let ‘s see how it all began. FYTA consist of F89 and F78, two controversial personalities with different backgrounds. F89 has always wanted to deal with music but did not manage (evil tongues say it’s due to lack of talent) and found support in the musically experienced F78 who always believed in young kids with vision and passion. Together they started working on their botanical debut ΑΝΘΗ (flowers). Soon, new pathways seemed to appear and they decided that music as we know it does not suit them and so with their second album they introduced a new genre, so-called bratmusik (fried music) where frying is both literal (recordings in the kitchen and a special interest on cooking themes) and metaphorical (crispy sounds, sautéed feelings and fatty performances). Some more releases on and after they had enough of music and music had enough of them, they decided to move to the fine art world and express themselves freer as it were, if you know what i mean, in three-dimensional space. So alongside another 50 special friends, they began building a shambling playground at the athens biennale. Harsh stuff were expressed about this controversial project, including ‘ You are even worse than Plato’. A little later, FYTA decided to consensually split due to internal disagreements. Today, long after their split, FYTA break the silence. They are the hostesses of the FYTINI portal, where the special friends they acquired all these years joyously come together to devise creative disasters. FTN’s main principle was that of FYTA themselves: ‘no more boredom in the Greek / Greek-speaking music scene’. |

Search | Add | 12 | DJ BSR | DJ BSR is a techno deejay and producer based in The Hague (Netherlands) and has recently been spinning on a monthly basis at one of the techno havens in The Hague; Club Magistrat. DJ BSR’s love for electronic music started in the late eighties and early nineties. Almost immediately, he felt the need to start producing himself. He bought his first gear in 1991 and has never really stopped making music. With a strong love for the 303 sound, hardcore/ gabber, acid techno and hardtrance were his main genres at that time. Nowadays he does not think too much in genres, but if asked, he would probably say techno. The past still inspires him till this very day, so that’s what you will hear in most of his music- whether it’s in his own productions or his mixes, it is a combination of the past and modern sound. Coming from the heart, it is made full of passion and the way he wants it to sound, bringing joy to himself and to others. That will always be the drive for him to make music.

Search | Add | 12 | Tex Withers | b. c.1933, d. 29 December 1986. No one knows when and where Tex Withers was born, his real name or his parents. His rise in British country music showed remarkable resilience: he was four feet tall and a hunchback with a painful history of severe spinal problems and tuberculosis. Withers wore western dress throughout the day as he longed to be an American Indian - his wife, known as White Fawn, dressed as his squaw and smoked a clay pipe. A good-natured man who laughed at his handicaps, Withers was the long-standing compère at West London’s Nashville Room and won several awards as the Top UK country singer, his show-stoppers being ‘These Hands’ and a narration about a Red Indian’s difficulties in coming to terms with society, ‘The Ballad Of Ira Hayes’. Tex Withers Sings Country Style sold 135, 000 copies, while his 1973 album, The Grand Ole Opry’s Newest Star was recorded mainly in Nashville, Tennessee. He was championed by Hank Snow, but his professional career was cut short by throat illness. Withers became bankrupt and his illiteracy made work difficult. His last years were spent as a cleaner at Gatwick Airport and Haywards Heath railway station. He found his happy hunting ground on 29 December 1986, probably aged 53, and merited an obituary in The Times.

Search | Add | 12 | Kyle Pepper | Kyle Pepper | Trance DJ Producer from Plymouth, UK. Kyle Pepper started out mixing at the age of 18, when he was introduced to the skills turntables could be used for by a close friend. Having a passion for music, he practised relentlessly mastering the art of mixing on Vinyl turntables, before progressing into the digital world. Through his teens he drew influence from all types of music, especially the sounds of trance, after discovering it at the well renowned nightclub of the Dance Academy in his hometown of Plymouth, where he heard it on a weekly basis. After supporting and attending many events in his home county, Kyle sent a mix CD he recorded into well established record label and event promoters Liquid Pulse, who booked him for one of their events supporting Mark EG and Lab 4. The promoters were impressed and he was asked to play again on a frequent basis, with all three promoters of the event noting his passion for trance music in the broadest sense. Since then his popularity has soared and Kyle plays various events all around the South of the UK, with brands such as Sequence, Crash Manor Presents, Liquid Pulse, Ignition and many more booking him to play. Kyle's drive doesn't just limit him to playing out in a nightclub, as he is often found in the studio working on original material as well as remakes. |
