Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | The Ilves Sisters | The ensemble The Ilves Sisters is a group of dazzling, talented and buoyant sisters who began making music together in their childhood. The eldest of the sisters, Liidia (1990) is a pianist, works as a piano teacher and occasionally performs with the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. The cellist of the ensemble and the third youngest of the sisters Silvia (1992) has been a member of the Sandra Nurmsalu band as well as the string trio La Phoenix. In addition to making music with her sisters, she currently focuses on her soloist career. In 2015 she worked in the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. A much beloved violin teacher Aleksandra (1993) began sharing her knowledge on violin playing at an early age and by now her pupils hold her in high esteem. At the same time she is a violin virtuoso with The Ilves Sisters. The chanticleer of the ensemble Damaris (1994) is enchanted by opera and wishes to tie her life and career with singing. She has always been interested in theatre and music and has found a symbiosis of the two in the world of opera. Gloria (1997), the youngest of the sisters has been playing the violin for more than ten years and contributes to the ensemble her youth and sweetness. Like the other sisters, she has achieved much at international competitions. All of the sisters have studied at Tallinn Music High School and are all currently furthering their education or have done so at the Estonian Music and Theatre Academy. The sisters are all highly renowned interpreters of classical music. The beginning of 2016 brought something nostalgic and musically refreshing to their repertoire – they finally made their dream of performing the repertoire of the legendary Swedish ensemble ABBA come true. The sisters have chosen their favourite pieces, and now it is possible to hear and see them perform something from the world of pop in addition to their repertoire of bright, powerful and emotional classical music. Actually, both could be described by the same adjectives! ABBA’s music has touched the Ilves girls deeply and the passion that unites the sisters when making music is phenomenal! | |

This tweet was later deleted in a few days of posting. On June 26th, 2025 he issued a statement saying that he was leaving the project, a few days before this came out he had issued another statement saying that the Song Titles for Tracks 8 and 9 was a test, and that only he knows the titles, which has since been resolved, clearing any speculations about the last 2 tracks. Miscellaneous Information On August 31st, 2025 he announced on X (Formerly Twitter) that his upcoming film at the time GLOOM (Short 2025) short for “Gloomy Dreams” had been buried on a USB flash drive without a release which he had been working on since day one, in conclusion to this tweet he wrote that “It was never meant to be released.” He later added “End of an Era” with the song Somewhere Only We Know by Keane linked to the post as the end credit song for the film (This can now be found on his Official Website showing how many days it has been buried). | Search | Add | 2 | "Cherokee" Jack Hickory | Born c.1929, New York, USA. Hickory gained his musical interest from his father who was a popular fiddle player in his local area. The interest in the American Indians, which led to his nickname, came from his grandfather, a Cherokee Indian who had relocated from Virginia to New York State in the late 1870s to work in the lumber mills. He subsequently taught the boy about the Cherokee life and its legends. Hickory learned guitar at the age of 13 and began performing at local venues. Between 1949 and 1951, he served in the American Forces, spending much of the time in Germany, where he regularly performed at clubs and on American Forces Network radio. After service, he continued to perform and research further the legends of the Cherokees and wrote many songs based on the facts and historical events that affected the lifestyle of his ancestors. He appeared at festivals in many States and also at major venues with top artists such as Pete Seeger. In 1983, he recorded Land Of My Fathers for the German Cattle label. It contained narrations and songs, which related the way the American Indian has been treated over the years with broken promises, ill treatment and massacres. Hickory eventually retired and apparently settled in Otsego County, New York.

| Search | Add | 2 | Shawn Mathews | Shawn Mathews | Best described as a multi-talented, genre-blurring artist, Shawn Mathews' music spills across the POP/R&B genres with Hip-Hop elements in them. Using popular synth melodies, Shawn adds a smooth vocal/lyrical performance to his songs which resemble the R&B styling of his influences Bazzi, Khalid, Dominic Fike, and Drake. Tackling topics such as heartbreak, mental health, and self-worth in his music, the Pennsylvania based artist has an extremely relevant feel to his songs and makes music that listeners can identify with. Shawn was signed to VALE in 2020 and released his EP Blue with them. His unique voice and style set him apart from others, along with his versatility and ability to tune in to current trends in music. His catchy rhythms are based on current hip hop music but are bouncy and vibrant. His debut EP Blue features six singles ‘Down Bad’, ‘Don’t Say Hi To Me’, ‘Erase It’, ‘Higher’, ‘Saved Me’, and ‘Hold Me Down’. Being a dancer and actor, Shawn fuses his love for dance and American Pop music to create his own unique brand of music. His love for performing and music equates to his electric stage presence when performing live. When he is not making music, Shawn is acting in regional musical theater productions or teaching his students hip-hop moves to the latest hits. Shawn also loves rapping to the tracks from Lin-Manuel's Miranda's superhit musical "Hamilton". Check out his performances on his YouTube Channel @ |

| Search | Add | 2 | Was Nun | WAS NUN is an event, a spectacle, elegant yet ambitious, meticulously planned yet open-ended. The six young men have all twelve feet planted firmly in the here and now, without losing their deep roots in the jazz tradition. The band name comes from a corner bar in Hanover where the six friends used to spend their free evenings. For the band, “Was Nun”, or “what next”, isn’t a question, but rather a defiant exclamation, where the focus is on the first and not the second word. Authenticity and passion are their lifeblood. At times it is hard to believe that there are only six band members, as the concentrated cohesive power of their music rivals that of most big bands. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Beau Jesters | The Beau Jesters are the Barbershop Harmony Society’s 1949 Southwestern District Champions. First organized in 1946 as the Sunset Quartet with Paul Mansfield on tenor, Don King on lead, Ernie Boring on baritone, and Wally Bradford on bass. The quartet began doing jingles on their own radio show on KIXL three afternoons a week. In the summer of 1948, they were hired by campaign manager, John Connelly, to assist Lyndon Johnson’s run for the US Senate. They were paid $100 a week and would sing for the crowd as LBJ flew in. After returning to Dallas in September of ‘48, they were given their own 30 minute radio show on WFAA on Saturday mornings from 9 to 9:30. The Beau Jesters were all big fans of groups such as the Mills Brothers, the Ink Spots, and the Golden Gate Quartet and would emulate hits of the day such as “Buttermilk Sky” and many more. When Paul Mansfield graduated and went off to attend the University of Texas at Austin, Bill Barnet replaced him as tenor. The Jesters started to gain popularity over the years and in 1949, they were named Southwestern District Champions. They were the youngest champs in the SWD. Shortly after winning the district, 35 year old Joe Huray replaced Bill as tenor. The quartet later qualified for the 1950 international contest but placed a disappointing 20th. The quartet split up after Wally and Don were drafted for the Korean War in 1951. In 1953, Ted Mack auditioned the Beau Jesters for his show in New York and they won. He also offered them a job in full-time show business. The quartet turned down the offer. They continued to sing with several different changes in personnel until calling it quits all together in 1958. In 1974, they were asked to sing at the Sunset High 25th anniversary reunion for old times sake. This got them out of retirement and with their kids all grown up, they could perform again. They all joined the Dallas Town North Chapter and were once again in high demand singing on shows with the Vocal Majority and many other groups. The quartet decided to retire for good in the spring of 1984 when Don’s Parkinson’s disease was starting affect his singing. They made their final appearance on stage in 1986. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Flair Ensemble | Because of the typical instrumental setting and the presence of the female singer, it is clear the Ensemble FLAIR has its roots in the Moravian folk tradition. Here in Moravia all members of Flair were born, here they live and from here they present their musical expression to the world. The musical language of FLAIR expresses a symbiosis between folk music and classical music. The fact there will be no changes in the musicians of FLAIR, will lead into a well-sounding and well-singing FLAIR. With a little of Leoš Janáček, Béla Bartók, the heritage of Carpathian folk musicians, the Gypsy music from Bucharest and Budapest and last but not least, compositions of Flair´s artistic leader, Jan Rokyta. After a succesfull start in the concert serie of Czech Radio Ostrava in November 2014, FLAIR won the prestigious 1st prize in the international EBU competition „GRAND PRIX OF SVETOZÁR STRAČINA 2015” for the arrangement and interpretation of the Moravian folk song “Ej, lásko, lásko”. Short after, FLAIR has recorded its first album „From the Springs to the Sea...” (Indies Happy Trails). Further in 2016, FLAIR took a prominent part on the profile CD of its solo-singer Klára Blažková, „In the Lap of Mountains Homeland” (Indies Happy Trails). This CD has got many positive reviews. In November 2016, Ensemble FLAIR took part on the International Music Festival MUSICA PURA in the cross-over interpretation of Moravian Folk Poetry in Songs together with the world-known Czech opera soprano Martina Janková and famous Czech pianist Ivo Kahánek (ČT art: Janková zpívá Janáčka). In 2017 and 2018 FLAIR staged a program of Lent and Easter songs, which was published in 2019 on the album "Music of Truth". In the same year, FLAIR played a key role in the profile album of the BLAženky "Prvý raz!" with folk melodies from Wallachia and Slovak folklore regions. In 2020, FLAIR participates in a Czech Television documentary about music, which was inspired by lyrics of Czech poets. It also participates in a radio recording of Moravian folk ballads and prepares for a "cross-over" program "Valašské sonety" together with the Janáček Chamber Orchestra with artistic director and violinist Jakub Černohorský. In September 2020, FLAIR´s second profile album will be released under the title "Drop to Drop". All albums in which FLAIR has participated since its inception were released by Indies Happy Trails. Ensemble FLAIR collaborates with leading Czech actors Alfred Strejček and Tomáš Jirman. | |

Because they were signed to Jive Records Korea, Voixco did not get a whole lot of recognition due to Jive Records being an American based label. However, they did get more recognition in Japan. The only type of big recognition they were able to receive in Korea was for promoting the domestic release of the 20th Century Fox animated movie Ice Age (2001). The song "Ice Baby" was used for the promotion and a music video was produced as well. Due to poor management and Jive Records Korea having to file for bankruptcy, Voixco disbanded in 2002.

| Search | Add | 2 | Adam Popovich | Adam Popovich | Adam Popovich was born in 1909 in Denver, Colorado. His father, Nikola Popovich, a Serbian immigrant from Lika (part of Croatia), worked on the railroads and in the coal mines of northern Colorado and Nevada. When Adam and his brothers were young, their parents instilled in them a love of traditional music by teaching them the epic songs of his homeland. Adam and his brothers, Eli and Ted, began to take tamburitza lessons in 1924, walking five miles to an immigrant teacher in a nearby mining town. Tamburitza is the term for a family of five-fretted stringed instruments, the prima, brac, celo, bugarija, and berda. They range in size from smaller than a mandolin to larger than a string bass. In 1925, the Popovich brothers formed their own tamburitza orchestra and began playing for Serbian celebrations throughout the western states, but they probably attained their greatest popularity in the steel towns of Indiana and in the Chicago area, where they finally settled. Adam played celo, and was recognized by his brothers as the "mentor" of the group. Together, they performed at social events — weddings, dances, and church socials, and in neighborhood taverns and clubs. For them, "playing tambura [a stringed instrument or plucked lute] is a song from the heart." To support his family, Adam worked as a millwright in the steel mills, but managed to find the time to not only play tamburitza music, but to sing in the Sloboda Choir, the church choir at St. Archangel Michael Serbian Orthodox Church. He also studied piano, harmony, and composition with Joseph Kindl, Sloboda's choirmaster, and when Kindl retired in 1936, Popovich became choir director. Under Popovich's direction, Sloboda became a widely respected choir, known throughout the Serbian American communities for its high musical standards and faithful membership, which included three and four generations of families. As choir director, Popovich led rehearsals and public performances, arranged music, and translated many pieces into the Serbian language. During World War II, several of the brothers served overseas, and after the war the Popovich Brothers tamburitza orchestra resumed playing. The brothers also opened a tavern-nightspot, Club Selo. The club served Serbian food, and local tamburashi (tamburitza musicians) provided the entertainment. A few years later, they sold the club, and Adam returned to work in the steel mills, continuing his music in his leisure time. In 1976, Popovich organized a large tamburitza orchestra to accompany the Sloboda Choir for their bicentennial concert. Prominent tamburashi from all around the Chicago area came to play for him, and together they formed the Chicago Tambura Ensemble with the membership of about 25 established tamburashi. Ensembles of this kind originated in the European nationalistic movements of the late 1800s, when musicians worked to create what might be called a "national" classical music. Deriving their inspiration from these early efforts, the Ensemble built a repertoire that featured orchestral arrangements of traditional Serbian melodies and light classical music by Serbian and other composers. In addition to presenting large-scale concerts, the Ensemble offered musical instruction for young people and maintained associations with other adult groups, such as the Pittsburgh Tamburitza Philharmonic and the Detroit Tamburitza Symphony. |
