Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 11 | Mykynes | Marco van der Zwart | Mykynes is a project founded by [a=marco svarda] in 2005, to replace his former DJ Marin-handle. The name is derived from one of the Faroe Islands (Føroyar) and inspiration for it came from a visit to the islands. Unofficial releases of Mykynes started circulating in 2008, but never materialized into official signings. After 2011, Marco used his Mykynes-project merely for bootleg remixes and DJ-performances. The project returned to original works in 2018, after Marco joined the platform Choon. Some of the unofficial releases such as 'Gravity', 'Mykines' and 'For The Love Of An Angel' have been completely reworked and rereleased on Choon. 'Any Given Day' was the first fully original production as Mykynes, and got released on Choon in July 2019. While running a remix contest on Any Given Day, Choon went out of business. This forced the decision to use Any Given Day as the first official release on the newly established label [l=Premier League Recordings]. The track came out in November 2019, with an additional remix from [a=Lumin-8]. Not long after, the best remixes from the contest have been released on the label as well. With Marco Svarda used a bit broader in terms of genres and styles, Marco will continue Mykynes next to it, as a dedicated trance-project. The Mykynes sound covers a wide BPM range, and is characterized by dreamy sounds and tracks build as (part of) a journey. Very melodic, and emotional. |

He then worked with Dave Richards on their J&M project and they released a full length album titled "Masks", a nine track journey through dark and gritty indie progressive tech house on a classic tip. Deeflash can be found monthly on Ustream with Preacherman broadcasting their Tapestry nights, a monthly live event featuring some of the best tech house, techno and deep house on the market today. Search | Add | 11 | Systemhure | SystemHure (German expression, roughly tranlatable as: "The System's Whore"), is a private electronic-music project from Germany, working closely with "Muzak For Cages". The style is experimental, combined with surreal spoken word passages, that can lead the listener into a psychedelic whirl. Their nickname among colleagues is "the fearless", because of the topics they explore on their releases, that explicitly offer ideas that some listeners might consider as "far off the road". It is part of SystemHure's concept, to poste the music for free on various websites as single files or complete albums.

Search | Add | 11 | John Mancini | John started writing songs on a cross-country road trip he took after graduating from Rhode Island School of Design. He began performing regularly when he moved to Southern Mississippi in 2004. Returning to his hometown of Baltimore, MD, in 2007, he started JMB, recorded two full-length award-winning albums and toured the Mid-Atlantic from NY to VA until 2012. In 2013, John moved to California to pursue an MFA in Creative Writing. He recently settled in the Bay Area where he recorded Halfway Home, his second EP of 2015. He then formed the newgrass group, Broken Barrels and released their debut album, A Little off the Top, in 2016. Seeking a balance of melody, groove and message, John has published more than forty songs since his 2009 debut, which was praised by Billboard, Relix, Glide, Big Takeover Magazine and others for its songwriting and musicianship. Honing a lyrical folk-rock aesthetic that has come to define his sound, John draws from an Americana tradition shared by artists like Ryan Adams, Tom Petty, Gram Parsons, John Fogerty and Dr. John. His songs have played on non-com radio stations across the country and in Europe. They have also appeared on film and TV in the U.S. and abroad and received praise from top music blogs.

Search | Add | 11 | Kae Williams | Ulysses Kae Williams | Born in Philadelphia in 1921, Kae Williams Snr was known as one of the earliest local deejays to play the blues. He, originally, moved into radio around 1945 and worked for numerous area stations, including WSSJ, WDAS, WHAT and WCAM. At the same time, he worked for the Philadelphia Tribune, from 1945 to 1948 as theatrical and night club critic. There, it was his job to review as many shows as possible, and write a theatrical column. Born on 04.02.1921, Philadelphia, Pennysylvania, U.S.A. Died on 29.12.1987, Philadelphia, Pennysylvania, U.S.A. [b]Not to be confused with his son [a=Kae Williams Jr.][/b] Jocko Henderson recalls when he ([a79233]) came to Philadelphia from Baltimore, there were three black DJ's on the radio, Ramone Bruce, Randy Dixon and Kae Williams himself. In the mid-1950's, Kae reached what would be eventually the high point of his career. He, and the group he was now managing, [a281955], had a huge pop hit with 'Get a Job'. The track sold several million copies in USA and abroad and topped the pop charts. He, also, managing a group called [a598250], which sold close to a million with the pop tune 'Let Me In'. These records made everybody money but him and he felt a little bitter that he never got his due moneywise or publicity wise because Kae didn't own the publishing copyright. At the time this type of thing happened to a lot of the black artists, promoters and producers in those early, pre-civil rights days of rock. |

Kavula has been writing lyrics since his teenage years but never showed to anybody, apart from a few exceptions. Till now...! The songs are about what songs are naturally about... love and hate, sense and nonsense, shattered dreams and missed aims, high flights and crash landings, desperation and hope, splendid successes and crushing defeats, the unbearable lightness of being and the hardness of breaking it off, lost principles and won experiences... to put it in a nutshell, about pretty much anything that makes us love life... as well as hate it. Is it still art or already midlife-crisis?! In any case it's the sound of his '30s...

Search | Add | 11 | Wurgilnõ | Consanguineus | Introducing Wurgilnō: Unleashing Dark Tales from the Dutch Underground Wurgilnō is a solitary force that emerged in the early months of 2023, plunging deep into the realms of Black Metal. With a raw and intense sound, Wurgilnō stands apart, channeling the dark currents of the genre while infusing it with the mystique of Dutch folklore. At the core of Wurgilnō lies the enigmatic figure known as Consanguineus. Serving as the sole member, Consanguineus fearlessly undertakes the roles of instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter, pouring heart and soul into crafting each haunting melody and crafting lyrics that delve into the depths of local legends and myths. Drawing inspiration from the First and Second wave of Black Metal, Wurgilnō's sonic offerings encapsulate the spirit of the genre's early pioneers, echoing their raw energy and sinister atmosphere. Consanguineus pays homage to these influences while forging a distinctive sound that is uniquely their own, blending aggression, melody, and a touch of melancholy. In a short span of time, Wurgilnō has unleashed a series of chilling singles upon the world. With releases like "Kraaien of het galgenveld," "Tot eenzaamheid verbannen," and "De Bloedrode Beek," all unleashed upon the world in May and June 2023, the band has already garnered attention within the dark corners of the Black Metal community. These singles serve as harbingers of the imminent release of their debut album, "De Doden rusten niet in Vrede," which arrived in June 2023, seeping into the collective consciousness with its unrelenting intensity. While Wurgilnō currently abstains from live performances, its origins carry a legacy intertwined with the Dutch metal scene. Consanguineus, an original member of Dutch bands Belphegor, Inverted Pentagram, and Corpusculum during the early '90s, possesses a profound understanding of the genre's roots and a wealth of experience that enriches Wurgilnō's creative process. Wurgilnō's music serves as a vessel, carrying the listener through the ancient forests and misty landscapes of the South of the Netherlands, where local myths and legends reside. Each track on "De Doden rusten niet in Vrede" explores these narratives, summoning the spirits of the Bokkerijders and other enigmatic figures that haunt the region's folklore. Through his music, Wurgilnō seeks to capture the essence of these tales, painting sonic portraits that immerse the audience in a chilling and immersive auditory experience. With their solitary presence and uncompromising dedication to the craft, Wurgilnō stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of Black Metal and its ability to encapsulate the darkest corners of the human psyche. As their music reverberates through the shadows, Wurgilnō beckons the curious and the fearless to venture forth into the ethereal realms they have carved, where the ancient legends of the South of the Netherlands come alive once more. |

Search | Add | 11 | Decion | Juho Pirhonen | When it comes to integrity in music, authentic approach and honesty are the perks Decion is leaning into, and they have never failed him. This current label manager of FINRG Recordings, a stargazer and an innovative producer has pushed the finnish electronic music scene onwards since 2007. Coming from a musical family where his dad was singing in national TV shows between the 70's and 80's, Juho had visions from a different career when he got his hands into the harder edge of electronic music on the age of 12. Instead of paying attention at school, he was posting mixtapes to online music platforms, hanging event posters in town day and night long and organized rave events as underaged. Things which indeed has made Decion the DJ he is today: A musical encyclopedia with the aura of being that guy who gives zero fucks on things that doesn't matter and aspiring insight on things like psychological invulnerability and creative thought process. When it comes to performing, Decion has shared the same decks with names like DJ Mad Dog, Guyver, Darren Styles, Defective Audio, Brennan Heart and dozens of others class A artists on major events in Finland like Kosmos Festival, FINRG, Future Energy Festival, Utopia Festival and Beach Fest so he can proudly claim he has reached whatever it was he dreamed of when he started to play records on his bedroom in 2005. Despite digital DJ equipment has made playing music much more diverse and synchronized, Decion has gained his skills through traditional ways like beatmatching. He has honed his mixing more than a half of his lifetime so when it comes to playing records, he can transform the simple process of putting a track after another into a beautiful craftmanship and create an impressive impact of emotions. After around 15 years of playing records, he started to craft his own sound after realizing how saturated the market had become from template sound and ghost productions. His music is infused with psychedelic sound-design and glued together with elements from Hard House and Trance. Drawing inspiration from the works of Hidetaka Miyazaki and dystopic science-fiction worlds, he finishes his creations with deep and atmospheric melodies, creating energetic, pumping underground club music to all the people out there who love their music delivered aggressively through their minds and straight into their hearts. ”Decion is very nu-energy, psy trancey, freeform kind of dance music. Relentless and forward-motion sound” - Amber D Decion is here to expose the charlatans and their fake likes with original art, a true musician the industry is in dire need for. |

Search | Add | 11 | Shannon Two Feathers | SHANNON TWO FEATHERS (Also worked as "Shannon twofeathers") Born: September 16, 1936 - Sandy Bay, Manitoba, CANADA Shannon Two Feathers was a Canadian Aboriginal (Anishnabe) singer/songwriter who achieved national recognition through his 1978 album "Dreams That Feed A Gypsy", released on the Edmonton, Alberta-based WSM Records label. Prior to the release of the album, Shannon Two Feathers' songs and vocal stylings were heard through a series of single releases, with his debut disc coming in 1972 on the Kanata label with the songs "The Only Way To Keep It" b/w "And She Travels" (KAN-1014). A follow-up came in 1973 on the IMI label with the single "Separation Blue" b/w "The Prisoner". An obscure and highly collectable album on the IMI label entitled "Separation Blue" was also reportedly issued in 1973. "The Prisoner" song, written by Shannon Two Feathers, was such a popular radio hit that RCA Canada picked up the recording and re-issued it as a single (KPBO-0005) b/w "Sweet Gypsy Hair", and it became Shannon Two Feathers' only nationally charted single, peaking at #20 on the RPM Charts in 1973 Shannon Two Feathers' next release came in 1975 on the Maple Haze Records label with the tunes "One Step Outside" b/w "Smile" (MH-7505). The 1978 release of his "Dreams That Feed A Gypsy" album on the WSM label also brought several single releases with the title track tune b/w "Smile" (WSM 45-507) and the follow-up "Maria" b/w "Daddy Doesn't Live There Anymore". The album, featuring all original songs written by Shannon Two Feathers, was co-produced by Shannon Two Feathers with Wes Dakus at Edmonton's Sundown Studios and was critically acclaimed, but unfortunately not well promoted by the independent label and not aggressively supported by Canadian country radio. Aside from his own recordings, Shannon Two Feathers also had his songs recorded by fellow Aboriginal artist Don Stonechild, with his 1978 WSM single "Child Of Stone" b/w "New Orleans". In addition to his talents as a singer and songwriter Shannon Two Feathers also appeared in the National Film Board movie "The Red Dress", and he wrote songs and music for the 1988 movie "Poundmaker's Lounge - A Healing Place". He was also an artist, with his Illustrations prominently featured in the book "People Of The Buffalo", authored by his multi-award winning wife, Maria Campbell. Shannon Two Feathers was inducted into the Manitoba Aboriginal Music Hall Of Fame in 2008. He has since been deceased, although date of death has not yet been confirmed by this writer. Also unconfirmed at this time is a surname, which may be "Roulette" or " Freddy Shannon"

He is the youngest brother of [a8214561], who administrated Johnny & Associates for many years. In April 2023, musician and former Johnny's Jr. Kauan Okamoto told a press conference held at the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan that he had been subjected to sexual abuse by Kitagawa on a number of occasions between 2012 and 2016, and called on the company's current management to acknowledge the misconduct. Okamoto estimated that between 100 and 200 boys were invited to Kitagawa's home during his time at Johnny's, and claimed that when Kitagawa told one of his guests to go to bed early, everyone knew "it was your turn." On May 14, 2023, Johnny & Associates president Julie Keiko Fujishima (a niece of Johnny Kitagawa) issued an apology to those that have alleged sexual abuse by Kitagawa. She added that she was committed to implementing measures addressing the victim's needs. |

Search | Add | 11 | The New Princes Toronto Band | In 1923 Sam Laschiver, who was the booking agent for fashionable 'Rector's Club' in Tottenham Court Road, London, met up with Toronto saxophonist [a=Hal Swain] in Canada. Swain gathered together a band of young jazz musicians, which Laschivier called "The Toronto Orchestra" and they were duly booked on a one year contract for the London club. This band were: Hal Swain (sax/cornet); Billy Hall (trombone/sax); Frank Walsh (piano/organ); Dave Caplan (banjo); Ran Garrison (sousaphone, trombone & sax); Ken Kenny (drums). On arrival in the UK the band found the club had closed. Laschiver got them a booking at the 'New Princes Restaurant' in Piccadilly and the band became resident there for two years - thus becoming "The New Princes Toronto Band". The band recorded in London on the Columbia label between Nov 1924 & Feb 1926. Some recordings were made for the Crystalate company under pseudonyms, as the band were contracted to Columbia. Labels for these were 'Imperial', 'Currys', 'Oliver', 'Pigmy' and 'Mimosa'. The 'disguised' band also issued on 'Regal'. Swain departed in 1926 and Caplan became the leader of the band (now with Harry Hoffman and Art Christmas) taking on his name as "[a=Dave Caplan's Toronto Band]". By the time this band toured Berlin in the summer of 1926 the line-up had changed further; Dave Caplan, Les Allen, Lorne Cole, Harry Hoffman, Laurie Day, Art Christmas, Arthur Lousley, Arthur Calkin & Jack Collins.

Search | Add | 11 | Markove | David Markov | Washington D.C American Hardstyle Producer and DJ Markove focuses on producing and mixing hardstyle using a unique blend of raw and euphoric. Whether with an uplifting melody or a punchy bassline, David “Markove” Markov is determined to establish a rare breed of creativity. Hardstyle represents an entire world for David to explore; one full of the melodies trance taught him to love and the powerful, more defined bass he has been yearning for. Hardstyle became a day and night passion following David’s discovery of the genre in high school. Being a native of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area has presented many obstacles for a genre newcomer. Hardstyle hasn’t reached the shores of the United States en masse yet, but David welcomes the challenge of helping hardstyle to spread amongst his fellow Americans. Markove is a play on the wording of David’s last name. Many people pronounce the name wrong, which led to Markove – a “proper” pronunciation of his last name. |

From the ages of seven to fifteen he sang on radio, television, stage, and in small night clubs. At the age of fifteen, in a city-wide crusade in Asheville, North Carolina, he was saved and immediately felt God’s call to preach. After working to pay his own way through seven years at Bob Jones Academy and University, Ron graduated and immediately entered full-time evangelism. He has continued in this ministry since 1961, having preached in forty-seven states and many foreign countries. The total number of crusades which Dr. Comfort has held is well over 1,400. Evangelist Comfort was honored in 1973 by Maranatha Baptist Bible College with the degree Doctor of Divinity. That same year he was honored by the Bob Jones University Alumni Association for “Outstanding Work in the Field of Evangelism.” Dr. and Mrs. Comfort have been married since 1963. God has blessed their home with three daughters and seven grandchildren to date. Mrs. Comfort serves in the team’s music ministry playing piano and vibra harp. She also works in the children’s meetings and serves as team secretary. In 1989, God used Dr. Comfort to establish Ambassador Baptist College, an old-fashioned, preacher-training college in Shelby, North Carolina. He served as its president for twenty years and continues to serve as the Chancellor. Through the years, Ambassador has put more than seven hundred graduates and former students in ministries around the world. |
