Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 11 | Αθηνά Χαϊκάλη | Athena Haikali is a Greek singer born in Hamburg, Germany. Athena liked to sing from a very young age. She joined a children's choir, played flute and engaged in dance and ballet for 7 years. She begun her career at the age of 10 when she took part in a talent competition in Germany and won the first prize. Shortly after, she released a 45-rpm record, and another record at age 13. At the age of 16, she signed a contract with the company TELDEC and created the pop group "Creative Connection" which, with the help of Marino Marinelli (manager of "Modern Talking"), immediately became known throughout Europe. At the end of the 80's the group broke up and she moved permanently to Greece pursuing a solo career. Her first recording participation is on the album "Ta 10 dekaria 2" where she participates in two songs, while the following year her first complete personal record is released by Sony Music Greece entitled "Den se fovame sex (I'm not afraid of you sex)". After an absence of five years she returns in 1996 with the album "As tous na lene (Let them say)" from which many songs became hits such as "Gine fotia", "Afto ine agapi" as well as the self-titled... In 1998 her third album is released album entitled "Ime gineka (I'm a woman)" from which also many songs became hits. After again an absence of 5 years, she returns again, releasing a maxi single with the title "Pligose me" with the song of the same name becoming a hit as well as the song "Aporo" which was also accompanied by an eccentric video clip. This is also the last CD she has released so far, since after that she retired from the music industry to devote herself to motherhood and family. In 2019, after 15 years of absence, she returned by releasing a new song entitled "Thema chronou (=A matter of time)" and making some selective appearances in clubs. Nowadays, she resides in Zakynthos (Zante) island with her family. During the years of her career, Athena collaborated with many big names of Greek music such as: Yannis Poulopoulos, Tolis Voskopoulos, Lefteris Pantazis, Antipas, Konstantina, George Gerolymatos, Katerina Stanisi, Litsa Diamantis, Vassilis Terlegkas, Thanos Kalliris , Christos Dantes, and many others. | |

| Search | Add | 11 | Obina Shok | Obina Shok was a successful but short-lived Brazilian pop and reggae band from the capital Brasilia (Active period: 1985-1988) Three of its members were non-Brazilians, related to the local diplomatic community: Jean-Pierre Senghor, from Senegal (and grandson of late president Leopold Senghor); Roger Kedyh, from Gabon; and Winston Lackin, from Surinam - the other members were Brazilian. Their style was a mix of pop with Caribbean, African and Brazilian rhythms. The name of the band, in Myene, means "path of dance". Their first claim to fame was a demo tape of the song "Lambarene", sent to then influential Rádio Fluminense FM of Niterói, state of Rio de Janeiro - which received notable airtime. With increasing popularity, they performed at the famous concert house Circo Voador. Their first album, eponymously titled Obina Shok, was released on RCA Victor in 1986. It was very well received by critics and became a great success. Their next album, however, failed to repeat such results, and the group split up the following year. 1986 - Obina Shok 1987 - Sallé Official Line-up Jean-Pierre Senghor - vocals, keyboard Roger Kedyh - guitar, vocals Henrique Hermeto - guitar, vocals Sérgio Galvão - alto sax Maurício Lagos - bass Winston Lackin - drums Sérgio Couto - percussion Hélio Franco - percussion | |

| Search | Add | 11 | Tunnie Smith | During the summer youth program of 1970 and 1971, a young Tunnie Smith was singled out by Father George Artist for his outstanding singing abilities. He was then introduced to Joe Delpit and Reginal Brown to sing along with their show and dance band "The 13th Amendments. It didn't take long before Tunnie was a full member of the band and became a featured singer performing throughout Louisiana. After a year and a half of performing at nightclubs, military bases and universities Tunnie landed a record deal with Rick Hall's Fame/UA record label. His first single from 1973 was a mid-tempo number entitled "Finders Aren't Always Keepers" flipped with "Do That To Me" It gained National distribution and had some good success. Tunnie left Fame records and was introduced to Stax record executives Al Bell and John Smith. After signing with Stax Tunnie met legendary writer and performer David Porter where they recorded an album which was scheduled for release around 1973/74. Unfortunately Stax's association with CBS came to a halt and the project got shelved. Tunnie went home and carried on performing around the Louisiana area with his new band Sweet Music Orchestra" | |

Kavula has been writing lyrics since his teenage years but never showed to anybody, apart from a few exceptions. Till now...! The songs are about what songs are naturally about... love and hate, sense and nonsense, shattered dreams and missed aims, high flights and crash landings, desperation and hope, splendid successes and crushing defeats, the unbearable lightness of being and the hardness of breaking it off, lost principles and won experiences... to put it in a nutshell, about pretty much anything that makes us love life... as well as hate it. Is it still art or already midlife-crisis?! In any case it's the sound of his '30s... | |

| Search | Add | 11 | Frank Kalaluka Mukanwa | Frank Kalaluka Mukanwa was a Zambian musician, singer and songwriter. Born in 1955 and hailing from Barotseland and the Lozi people, Mukanwa, like fellow Zambia performer [a1819862], had a series of regular careers before entering music. He worked for a time as a prison warden and then later as a mine guard. He started his music career in the early 1970's with a song he recorded at the Zambian Broadcasting Service in Kitwe. The song received some radio play and kicked off a career that would continue for 50 years. His first documented single, [r13500795], appeared on the Zambazi label in 1980, but his career was well established by that point. Based in Kitwe he did much of his later recording at [a2474721]'s [l1700464], similar to fellow Kitwe resident [a7768430]. Throughout the 80's Mukanwa would produce numerous popular singles, displaying his intricate guitar work and his Rumba sensibilities. In 1985, he released his only album, [r3193793]. After the failure of [l447513] in the early 90's, Mukanwa's career faltered and he returned to working for a mining company in the Copperbelt and later Tanzania Zamiba Railways. He married and had several children, including some who followed his footsteps into music. He was still based in Kitwe up until his death from illness on March 23rd, 2025. | |

| Search | Add | 11 | Melinda Johnstone | Back in 1981 a petite blue eyed blonde from Victoria's Gippsland area picked up a microphone for the first time and began belting out country music. The 14 year old showed plenty of potential. Less than a year later she won the inaugural Snowy River Talent Quest and Melinda Johnstone - The Girl From Snowy River, was on her way. Melinda released her first single in 1982 "Rocky Top/All I Have To Do Is Dream". A Custom Release, this was followed by her first album titled "The Girl From Snowy River" which contains 12 original songs on the Bunyip label. In 1987 Melinda signed a major recording contract with the then Bunyip Records (now Pinewood Records) in Sydney, the first album from this contract was released in 1988, titled "The Power Of Music". The first single released from "The Power Of Music" album in early 1989 was "Worth The Wait For Gold" and reached number 2 on the Australian Country Playlist. This was followed by another single lifted from "The Power Of Music" album, "Hitch A Ride" and reached number 4 in late 1989. With over 40 TV appearances between 1983 and 1990, tours to New Zealand, four to Tasmania, as well as countless appearances at Country Music Festivals across Australia, Melinda then took time out from her busy schedule to have a family and it was not until 1995 that we saw the release of her next album "Changes", which as the title suggests was a move away from her more traditional country roots towards pop country. Melinda has established herself as Pinewood Records' Number One female artist. But she is much more. She is a polished, versatile artist who is one of this country's leading female performers. | |

He has continued in this ministry since 1961, having preached in forty-seven states and many foreign countries. The total number of crusades which Dr. Comfort has held is well over 1,400. | Search | Add | 11 | Artisan P | Phil Andre | Artisan P is Renaissance Man in the industry, creating music as an emcee, musician and writer. P holds his influences and sounds with pride describing it as “underground boom-bap music, with some lo-fi elements.” It’s those elements and Artisan’s commitment to release quality art at a consistent rate that makes him a must-listen in 2020. Even with Artisan filling the boom bap role, his verses and music extend beyond that with P’s flows and cadence embodying the poetic heart that hip-hop was born in. Coming off the release of his latest project “How We Kept On” Artisan looks to close the year on a high as he begins preparations for his debut full-length project. Artisan P’s family holds over 50 years of legacy in music, ensuring that our hero would eventually pursue music as well. “My father is a musician, he’s been with his band from Haiti since 1968, they just celebrated their 52nd anniversary.” P says. Meanwhile, P’s mother was a big fan of the art form introducing P to Haitian music, R&B, pop and rock. As he grew up Artisan continued to discover instruments on his own while attending concerts and soundchecks with his father, seeing the creation process firsthand. Piano, Guitar and saxophone are just a few of the instruments Artisan learned to play growing up and in fact still plays guitar to this day. After playing in a few bands throughout high school and college our hero decided to go solo and become Artisan P. The Miami stalwart delivers a refreshing execution in the practice of hip-hop. Artisan P pays homage to the legends that came before him while simultaneously carving out his own path to become a legend in his own right. It isn’t about the fame or any version of clout for him though as his goal is to get evoke something from them. “I want them to walk away with something to think about,” Artisan says, “I want people to be able to chill to my music, I want people to feel relaxed and good.” Over the course of releasing music these last five years, Artisan has shown a diversity of styles and the ability to rhyme over a plethora of sounds making him accessible for everyone. This being said, it is important to run Artisan P’s music back because he intentionally packs easter eggs for listeners to find. It’s one thing to have “bars” and Artisan P always provides prime execution in that arena, he separates himself in packing each track with relatable content and lyrical mastery that must be respected. Artisan P has spent the last few years owning the touring circuit in South, providing a platform for independent artists while dominating the stage himself. Also during this time he’s been releasing singles produced by other artists DJ Proof, Dr. LaFlow to name a few. All of his work ethic has P gaining attention at a national level, racking up close to 20K listens across platforms and performing with the likes of KRS-One, Epic Beard Men and more. The prolific Florida artist is garnering national coverage too with outlets like Underground Hip Hop Blog and Insomniac Magazine covering his work. Earlier in 2020, Artisan P released his EP “How We Kept On” which has already been picked up by Insomniac Magazine. Artisan P’s consistency and premiere ability to create engaging music is what will have him as a legend just like his father. ~ Michael Stover |

| Search | Add | 11 | Michael R R Wilson | Michael R. Wilson | The smooth yet uniquely quirky sound that is: michael ЯR wilson Music has always been a part of Michael’s life in one form or another – from singing Blue Skies when cooking Yorkshire puddings in the kitchen, to breakdancing to one of the many 80’s hit musical creations, all the while embracing a diverse library of music and song writing through experience and expression. The results being rewarding and simultaneously addictive. Michael’s musical influences are vast and include Tom Petty, Prince, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan, Blue Rodeo, Supertramp and the less likely genres of classical music and old time country which ground his soul! Michael’s music style is reflective of his passion for music, life, love, and the freedom to create. Michael finds music to be an inspiration as he continues on the road of self-discovery and exploration with his guitar in hand. As an established Chef de cuisine who enjoys creating culinary delights, Michael began to dabble into the creative aspects of music. With a successful career and happy home life, Michael was looking for a new avenue to express himself. It started by picking up a guitar and signing casually with friends, learning new chords along the way! Fast forward a few years, and following his return to his hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba, music took a new hold of his soul. Developing his singer/songwriter skills, Michael grew as a musician and learnt to play drums, bass and piano. This lead to his interest in the recording and mixing aspects of producing songs, and he embraced the challenge of a home recording studio. Along the way, the want turned to need to progress, and so was born Supry Sound Productions. Since, more singles have been written, recorded, produced and mixed in this same space, many more instruments have joined the first guitar, and collaborations with other artists are on the horizon. |
