Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Mischa Dobrinski | Australian Violinist. Sometime during 1923 Beryl Alexander met a Russian-born violinist named Mischa Dobrinski. He was the son of Leo and Chaya Bluma Dobrinski of Kremenchoug, Russia, and had studied at the Petrograd (St Petersburg) Conservatory under its director, Alexander Glazunov, and the renowned Austrian violinist, Leopold Auer. The Russian civil war ended his studies and he travelled the country as an itinerant musician playing with a folk singer. Sometimes Dobrinski would find himself in territory controlled by the Red Army; at other times he would be in an area controlled by the White Army. He finally reached Siberia and crossed the border into China, remaining in Harbin for 18 months as the conductor of a symphony orchestra. He then spent some years in Peking conducting and playing with a private orchestra before touring the Far East. He was first mentioned in the Sydney press in August 1923. Beryl Alexander and Mischa Dobrinski became engaged in January 1924. By 1927 Mischa Dobrinski had signed an exclusive recording contract with the Columbia Graphophone Company and his wife continued to accompany him during concerts and on his records. During 1928 Mischa Dobrinski took out Australian citizenship. He died suddenly on 15 October 1969. Groups he formed: Mischa Dobrinski and his Gypsy Serenaders, the Dobrinski Trio, For some years Mischa Dobrinski was the leader of the string section of George Trevare's Sydney State Theatre Orchestra

Search | Add | 4 | Wendy Darling Blackwood | Wendy Farrell-Pastore | Wendy "Darling" Blackwood is an album cover artist / photographer and backing vocalist most notably for the band Edison's Children & the solo albums of Edison's Children's Rick Armstrong, the Son of Neil Armstrong. Wendy is famed for her dark vivid imagery featured not just on the band's album covers but in the accompanying 20 page haunting "lyrics & images booklets" that appear in every one of Edison's Children's full length albums, with each song, section or excerpt of the concept album, having its own personal "album cover" to give listeners a visual cue to what they should see in their mind's eye while listening to the music. Her stage name Wendy Darling Blackwood is a combination of being given the moniker "Wendy Darling" in honor of his song Neverland by the band Marillion in the liner notes of Marillion's album "Sounds That Can't Be Made" under Steve Hogarth's credits: "h would like to thank "Eric Pastore (Blackwood) and Wendy Darling". It is the first time that her new stage name "Wendy Darling" appears in any publication. The last name of Blackwood came in credit to her husband Eric Blackwood lead singer and lead guitarist of Edison's Children whom she married in 2000. Wendy has created all of the interior artwork, CD plate and album covers for every one of Edison's Children's 8 releases (4 full length albums, 2 EP's, 1 Making of CD, 1 Vinyl Release) and all 3 of Rick Armstrong (Son of Neil Armstrong/Bassist-Guitarist-Keyboardist for Edison's Children) as well as doing backing vocals for Edison's Children's, "Where Were You" / "Where Were You" (Jakko's King Crimson Mix) / "Seventh Sign" / "Seventh Sign (Single Edit)" on the Edison's Children albums "The Final Breath Before November" and "Somewhere Between Here and There". Wendy is co-author of the "coffee table book" 500 Ballparks for Thunder Bay Publishing in 2 Editions in which Wendy personally photographed 500 baseball parks around the world. Wendy has also worked as a Property Technician, Set Dresser and Picture Car driver on the Movies "I Am Legend (starring Will Smith", "Loving Leah", "Law & Order: Criminal Intent", "Law & Order: SVU" and "The Backup Plan (starring Jennifer "JLo" Lopez). |

Search | Add | 4 | Shady Stevens | On January 1, 1968 two trains collided in Dunreith, Indiana about 40 miles east of Indianapolis. In the aftermath of the wreck, local singer Shady Stevens whipped up a tune called The Dunreith Accident The result of a broken rail, the wreck derailed 26 cars and caused a hydrogen cyanide spill. Another car, carrying anhydrous ammonia, exploded resulting in flames shooting 100 feet into the air. The fire spread to a trackside cannery and a nearby liquid fertilizer storage tank, which exploded blowing up hundreds of cans of tomatoes which looked like blood spots on nearby patches of snow. Along with the cannery, seven local houses were destroyed by the explosion, but amazingly there were no deaths.

Search | Add | 4 | Normal Ones | Since 2006, Normal Ones have sought to find a unique approach when presenting their music, which they believe is best experienced in a live context. Their visceral, emotive live electronic compositions span many musical territories stretching from dark and melodic electro to full-spectrum spatial ambience and further influenced by punk, dub, new wave, horror soundtracks, jazz, industrial and more. Each Normal Ones live performance is presented from the heart with every intention to help elevate and inspire the spirit of anyone who cares to observe and listen. Pretension is consciously set aside so that they may be a conduit of something greater than themselves. This is ultimately the special ingredient that sets their music apart from many others in the electronic music world and beyond.

Search | Add | 4 | Andy Garibaldi | Andrew Garibaldi | Also known as Andy G or Andy Gee, Andy was based in Staffordshire and ran was retail manager for Mike Lloyd Music, with 5 shops including the Mike Lloyd Megatore, in Hanley, Newcastle, Wolverhampton and Stafford, as well as Lotus Records in Hanley. He also ran Lotus Records Mail Order, and subsequently Mike Lloyd Music mail order, that existed from 1979 through to 1996. MLM also had a wholesale divison and more, all run and overseen by Andy. In 1983, Lotus Records joined with Inkeys cassette fanzine to organise and promote the first annual "UK Electronica Festival" at Milton Keynes in 1983, followed by further ones at Sheffield and Stafford through to 1990 when others took over the legacy we'd begun. In 1996, Andy left MLM to join CD Services mail order in Dundee, discovering and promoting hundreds and hundreds of new bands and artists via his 10 mail order catalogues covering all manner of specialist genres from Electronic to space-rock, industrial to Canterbury. At this point, Andy began his own amateur Dead Earnest CD label, which ultimately released 13 albums including the likes of space-rockers Krel, Spacehead, Space Mirrors and Secret Saucer, as well as electronic artist Mooch, Dundee's home grown Mr Spider, Hennissi and Paula Knight, plus the ground-breaking album from Doug Snyder & Bob Thompson. In 2006, he started to promote gigs around Dundee and went on to become one of the city's leading promotors of original Scottish bands, followed by a 6 year radio show for Radio North Angus, featuring emerging and unknown bands from Scotland and worldwide, of which that legacy continues to this day via a weekly radio show available world-wide on Bridge-FM out of Dundee. He is one of the leading specialists in the UK on the current Australian indie music scene and has been featuring Australian band and artists on the show for several years, including 22 radio shows devoted entirely to the Australian music scene, the only radio presenter in the UK to do this. Andy is still doing reviews, and is arguably one of the leading music reviewers for the past four decades. Dead Earnest as a label is now finished. Currently working on his extensive autobiography, seeking a publisher and hoping to have it published in early 2025. |

Search | Add | 4 | Tired Moth | Luke S. Anderson | Tired Moth writes/records the majority of his music in the basement/attic of his 1950s post-war home in Virginia. If it's not done there then it's during his night shift at a nearby roadside hotel. What is most noticeable about Tired Moth's outsider-style is the mysterious tones it takes through the combination of field recordings, lo-fi drum patterns, and fuzzy ambient guitar drones. It's all of that and more to create an outsider-art perspective on what could easily be an eerie score to any David Lynch production. |
