Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 4 | psAux | Sebastian I. Hartmann | Starting in the mid 1990s as "aGe2.1" with a musty, darker industrial-ish style and a rather minimalist sound setup, Sebastian I. Hartmann eventually began leaning towards turn of the millenium-techno in the early 2000s. The departure from the cold atmosphere of the city of Hamburg in 2009 was inevitably to be artistically reflected. After leaving northern germany, now in his newly adopted homeland of bavaria, he re-invented himself as PSAUX. Conflating old and new experimental threads, adding a pinch of acid house and a sprinkle of the good old Industrial-EBM. After a decade on his way, PSAUX has his coming out as a trippy mixture of minimalist styles in a deep mindset. |

| Search | Add | 4 | John Koviak | Emerging from the Southern California alternative music scene in the late 1980's, John started out as a guitarist/bassist before unfulfilling band experiences (with London After Midnight, for instance) eventually prompted him to try and create music on his own. John's first solo project Sub Version was born. Taking on the tasks of songwriting, lyrics/vocals, instruments, programming, and production entirely on his own John successfully completed three releases: Metamorphosis (1992), Damaged Gods (1994), and The Winds of War (1997). In the summer of 1996 John accompanied Faith and the Muse at the Zillo Festival as guitarist. Upon his return from Europe he rejoined the band for the U.S. "Apparition" tour. After the Winds of War, John took a break in order to realize some new ideas that were emerging that seemed to be a departure from Sub Version. The Heaven EP in 2002 (as John Koviak) was the official beginning of this new chapter and the Imagination EP (as Koviak) followed soon after in 2003. John has most recently been seen active as a live guitarist and violinist for Faith & the Muse. He accompanied them on their European 2003 “Burning Season” tour, performed with them at Mera Luna 2004, on the 2004 United States tour and lastly in Santiago, Chile. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Oenix | French New Wave/Punk band from Rouen, Normandie, formed in 1979 & split in 1980. From Website : Black Bonnie Since its beginnings in the 80s, this punk group from Rouen has carved out a solid reputation. With the release of his first 45 rpm, Oenix will leave an anecdotal but lasting mark in the history of French rock. Annie Chancel, better known as Sheila , was at the time the victim of rumors that she was in reality a transsexual. Cover and lyrics of the single They want to sleep with Sheila play to the fullest on this ambiguity and trigger a huge outcry. The singer's record company fumes and threatens. The scandal surely allowed the group to sign with Virgin and release the record with a reworked cover and the same title punctuated with beeps*. Now at Oenix, They want to sleep with* ... “ Wouap dou woap chibidoua... They want to sleep with... beep ... but too bad she has big arms. They want to sleep with... beep ... but too bad it's a guy. They want to sleep with... beep ... but no, no, but you've seen the thighs she has! There's no denying it, but what a big pile. Yes, but they like it. Woop dou woap chibidoua… “ | |

Because of those sampled vocals, East West bought the record (without having heard it) and agreed to release Andrew from his recording contract. East West have not released the SSV album, but they did send tapes to the press. Il disco verrà inciso presso la Panamusic Word Records di Acireale, la canzone con la quale parteciperà, porterà come titolo “ M’annammoro e te “ scritta insieme ad Andrea T. | Search | Add | 4 | Israel Fichman | Israel Fichman | Israel Fichman, was and still known because of a special small underground record shop in Bat-Yam called "Gingi Records" (which was originally started as a photography shop). In the early 90's, Trance and Techno music couldn't be found around Israel, expect 3 shops (2 other were in Tel Aviv), which brought this kind of stuff. The whole Israeli Trance scene was actually started in these places, where DJ's who came to get the usual 12" for their sets, could get these new sounds, which could be heard elsewhere. In fact, the first Israeli Trance compilation - "Trance Mix" was released on his home label called BMI, later changed to Melodia. Israel "Gingi" Fichman has passed away in November 2010 because of cardiac arrest. Hebrew: ישראל פיכמן |

| Search | Add | 4 | Tito Haensel | Its musical history begins as a result of the theft of a guitar at 6 or 7 years. Yes, as he reads it, a robbery. Heansel felt a special attraction - and uncontrollable - for the ropes: "I was with my dad at the Yaguachi festivities (when these were an apotheosis thing) and I saw a guitar in one of the stalls, I asked him to buy it and he refused , but I did not stay with the pike, I reached for it and I ran. " When "doing that little prank", the owners of the place persecuted him and his father had to pay for the instrument. When he tells this story he lets out a knowing smile: "I took the guitar to the house and that's where everything started". At age 12, he met the musician Joaquín Naranjo in his neighborhood (in all of Pedro Moncayo and Padre Solano). He confesses: "When I saw him play, my fascination for music grew even more". With Naranjo he learned to sing the chords. Already "with a bigger and more professional guitar", he began to "take out" songs that he played with his "gallada". "I remember that I put a group of outlaws into the home of my poor parents (that's how he calls his musical friends) and made a scandal that you can not imagine," he laughs. "That was a time when the electric guitar was a myth, a novelty, not to mention the bass, that nobody had," says this before commenting that to facilitate the scenario, ingenuity is always appropriate: "We used to take a guitar and we put four strings. " Remember that, before, being a musician was playing for the love of the shirt, the difficulty of practicing this activity was not only limited by the economic aspect, but by the social stigma that existed: "Living from music was frowned upon, that is to say that you were drunk, drug addict and parrandero ". Already at age 17, "and more knowledgeable (experienced) in this art" recognizes that he began to "work in music and fail in studies" -he made his high school at the National Institute-. One of the stories he remembers most of that time is the occasion when he participated in an intercollegiate contest of musical bands where he won first place and "other things". "I played with my teeth. I arrived with the prize to the school and the rector told me: 'Pay the fees you owe for a pension and consider yourself a graduate' ". In addition to these 'recognitions', and after the presentation the afternoon of the contest, Josefina de Vallarino contacted him to make a suggestion: "Come to Los Corvets". He also joined groups such as Marfil and Canela, and accompanied on stage national artists Lucho Silva and Enrique González and international Leo Dan, Alberto Cortez and others, he was also a musician at the Fediscos label. Currently belongs to the Pyramide group and has its own studio. He declares that the guitar is his spoon, part of his body, and that he will continue to make music long, because despite the difficult moments, "which never fail", he always looks at things from a positive point. | |

Joshua Medina & Paurl Walsh explore the intersection between contemporary folk, drone, ambient, noise and electronic music. The duo is seemingly a paradox unto itself: Medina, a self taught finger-style guitarist and Walsh, a sound artist, synth guru, and classically trained composer; their compositions reflect a dichotomy in style as well as sound, gentle serenity often leads to jarring dystopia. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Bill Agle | My love of acoustic music started in the high country of North Carolina. Being left handed I taught myself how to play upside down. I was 17 years old when I got my hands on a brand-new Martin D-18, later a D-35 and finally an N-20. I never looked back or wanted other guitars. I still record and play live with the same guitars. I seemed destined to meet great musicians and others involved in music. During my years in college in the North Carolina mountains, I came to know some very talented people, many of whom are now life-long friends I do appreciate everyone’s support so much. It has been a long and costly road to re-obtain the publishing rights to my music, bring three past projects to CD, and at the same time record new music while working on the studio. You have no idea how much I appreciate the musicians and engineers who have surrounded me and have lifted me up to a better sound. I am now looking forward to the next project. Enjoy! Bill | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Port Talbot Cymric Male Choir | The Cymric as it is affectionately known is one of the oldest choirs in Wales having been established in 1911 by Mr John Bowen Davies. During the 1920’s and 30’s it competed regularly in local Eisteddfodau and during this period it sang at some unusual and interesting venues. In 1927 it fulfilled a week’s booking at The Palace Theatre Blackpool for the princely fee of £75.00, and in 1935 was invited by Randolph Hearst the newspaper magnate to sing at St Donat’s Castle in South Wales for celebrities of the film and newspaper world. The choir has had the privilege of appearing at The Royal Albert Hall in London in the presence of the Queen and HRH Prince Phillip and is extremely proud of the fact that during a concert tour of Deeside Aberdeenshire in 1990 the choir was invited to sing at Crathie Church Balmoral when both the Queen and HRH Prince Edward were in attendance. The Queen expressed her delight at the choirs singing and subsequently invited Choristers to Balmoral Castle. In May 1991 Rita Macneil , made a concert tour of the UK and during her appearance at St David’s Hall Cardiff she invited the Cymric on stage where she expressed her delight at the ‘Cymric’s rendition of her song ‘The Working Man’ and subsequently graciously allowed the choir to perform additional items. Since its inception the choir has had Six Musical Directors, On the death of John Bowen Davies in 1957 , the baton was handed over to Mrs Iris Evans Thomas who had been the Choir’s Accompanist since 1927. She remained the Musical Director until her death in 1973 when Roger Chicott who directed the Choir up until his regrettable passing in 2001 succeeded her. Mr Gareth Sims held the position until 2005, when he was succeeded Mrs Mair Jones who retired from the Choir in 2015. Matthew Lewis was appointed as the Choir’s Musical Director in October 2015 | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Shiny Dust | Shiny Dust is shimmering dust, the same that rises from the arid heart of southern Italy and dances through the silent lands of Lucania, where the clay burns under the sun and the wind tells millennia-old stories. The band was born from a profound, cinematic, and ancestral sound vision. In 2022, they released a debut ep conceived as a musical road movie that established the foundations of their style. SHINY DUST's sound is a mix of alternative rock, desert rock, indie, and psychedelia, which they themselves call CALANK ROCK: a music that evokes the lucanian deserts (the “calanchi” - badlands) and merges familiar and disorienting, modern and archaic elements. In 2024, they joined the roster of the SOUNDINSIDE RECORDS label, with which they released the singles "ABOUT LOST YOUTH" and "SO LET ME GO". Their first full-length album, "HANBLECEYA", is set to be released in December 2025. | |
