Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Marshmallow Soup Group | Canadian pop psych band formed in the summer of 1967 in Kingston, Ontario. They soon moved to Ottawa to sign with manager [a2107040]. Members were John Lemmon (organ, vocals), Wayne Sweet (lead guitar, vocals), Ron "Smack" Smith (bass, vocals), and Tim Cottini (drums). Tim Eaton joined the group later as lead singer in early 1969 before they started recording, first with radio jingles for the United Way charities and the Canada Welfare Council. Their popularity with radio listeners led to signing with [l71736]'s nascent [l335147] in late 1969. Marshmallow Soup Group had only one hit record, "I Love Candy" penned by Eaton, in 1969. The record was released in November to coincide with their trip to Lima, Peru where they performed at the International Trade Fair as Goodwill Ambassadors of Canada for the Federal Department of Trade and Commerce. They also toured Japan, Mexico, Hawaii and the US in that role. They released a follow-up single in 1970 that did not do as well on the charts in Canada, and did not break internationally as "I Love Candy" had done. After the demise of the band, Eaton embarked on a solo career in the summer of 1971 and formed his own backing band called Timothy.

Search | Add | 3 | Herschel Foshee | Herschel Edison Foshee | Born 1911 - Died 1949 Herschel Foshee, from Mississippi, was an employee of the Stamps-Baxter Music and Printing Company working in the printing plant and singing bass in several of the company’s quartets during the late 1930s including the Original Stamps Quartet (V.O. Stamps Quartet) of Dallas. In 1940, V.O. Stamps, president of Stamps-Baxter, sent Foshee to manage and sing bass in the Stamps-Baxter Melody Boys (aka Stamps Melody Boys) in Arkansas. Well known pianist , songwriter, and arranger Joe Roper was also in the group. Foshee left the Melody Boys to serve in the US Army during WW2 where he rose to the rank of Sergeant. After the war, he became the manager and bass singer of a group called Herschel Foshee and his Stamps-Baxter Quartet. Joe Roper joined him in the new group. They began in Mississippi in 1946, but they soon moved to Illinois before moving back to Arkansas in 1948. There Foshee organized an additional group called the Herschel Foshee Junior Quartet. On November 16, 1949, Herschel Foshee died from heart disease at the age of 38. The remaining Herschel Foshee Stamps-Baxter Quartet members continued on with Smilin’ Joe Roper in charge and soon reclaimed the pre-war name, the Melody Boys. Gerald Williams, who had been the bass for the Foshee Junior Quartet became the bass singer for the Melody Boys and would go on to much success as the manager of the Melody Boys, continuing Foshee’s legacy for many years. |

Search | Add | 3 | Thee Creepfreaks | Thee Creepfreaks are a psychobilly trio from London, combining up-tempo drumbeats, loud dirty guitar and demonic vocals. In the summer of 2012 Peter (ex-Nocturnal Teds/ Miniskirt Blues) dusted off his rockin’ guitar and called double bass player Anthony and they started starting rehearsing and stringing together a few tracks and after a few different drummers they found the bone rattling beats of Jeremy (Devil Crockett). After Anthony left the country we have hooked up with our new bass player Ash and are roaring and ready to go again…. Since their first gig at The Klub in Camden, they’ve been playing regularly in London supporting bands like Mad Sin, Tall Boys, Demented are Go and many others. With a love of horror, armed with macabre lyrics and a view of the world in demise, these psycho love children of Lemmy and Elvis will get the pit going and have you howling at the moon until the early morning light.

Search | Add | 3 | Willie Bovain | Keyboardist Willie Bovain was born in 1944 in San Diego, California. He began playing the piano and organ at the age of 9. His first training was in his father's church, Reverend John Bovain. At the age of 21, he plays in clubs with his trio and is very successful everywhere he plays. Chuck Johnson, General Manager of Rhythm & Blues' first local radio station "XEGM" and his "Soul 95" program in San Diego, discovered Willie Bovain on his shows. In 1969, for Bovain's only album, Chuck Johnson co-wrote several songs with Willie, and composed the excellent "Love Walk", the album also included a beautiful version of "Hurt So Bad". Aside from his only album, Willie Bovain recorded two singles, one on Radio City RC-1000: Willie Bovain Trio "Soul In The Morning / Carnival Of Soul" and another on Soul City SC-1000: Willie Bovain And The Rocks "Sippin ' Soul "which is a kind of" Hurt So Bad "revisited, coupled with a title that appears on the album" Patricia's Delight ". Both labels seem related because Radio City is published by Soul City Pub. Co.

Search | Add | 3 | Jackie Storrar | Jackie Storrar was raised in Kirkcaldy just outside Edinburgh and attended the same school as Gordon Brown, the last labour prime minister. Music was always her first love which was to take her to perform in over 80 countries worldwide, from the early days at school and in church to Country festivals, cruise ships and theatre shows. Jackie quickly became a media person after being given the chance to present her Country Girl show on Dundee's Radio Tay, the first female Country jock on the station. This led to other media work and the chance to be the breakfast jock on Island Sound Radio in Malta. This soon encompassed tv work and eventually to her performing live all over the Island. Jackie all this time maintained her songwriting skills which led to her becoming a premier presenter on CMR Nashville from 2009 to 2011. Meeting her husband to be on a cruise ship she married Steve Theibault in 2003 and a great musical partnership was born. It was only in recent years that Jackie’s health has caused her to stop performing.

Genre: World Music / Afro Manding / Gambian Afrobeat / Dance Music / Independend Music… According to critics, they are »one of the most influential bands in The Gambia«, but still mostly »[u]nknown to the Western listener. Active since the 1980s. Powered by the Jarju Brothers. Utilising electric guitar, drums, bass and keyboard to mix and adapt the different elements of traditional Gambian music and culture to create a new Gambian sound.« (Chicken Attack Records, G.B., that produced and distributes the before 2019 E.P. »Abarake Bake«.) »The band is named after a powerful historic village in The Gambia, where slaves were transported to America and Europe. This is the village where a brave slave called Kunta Kinteh was born. His name spread in most parts of the world. We named the band after this village to sustain the historic momentum and name of the village.« — »Juffureh Band is a long time band from the early nineteen-eighties. A lot of musicians passed through this band. We recorded few albums, and two among them, one was done with musicians from England, and another one with a saxophone player from Germany.« (Founding member A.S.J.) In the beginning the musicians were dependend to construct their own musical devices. Still they welcome technical support regarding musical instruments that are hard to obtain in The Gambia for them, further they need financial support of their musical work. Current line-up: Mamina Jarju electric guitar, Mafougi Jammeh (may he rest in peace!) vocal, Ebrima Jammeh vocal, Haruna Jassey vocal, Amadou Tailor keyboards, Ebou Jarju bass, Lamin Drammeh drums and percussion, Ansuman Saine percussion; founding member Abdou (Sam) Jarju kora, guitar, keyboard and sound engineering. Search | Add | 3 | Hayelala | היללה | Hayelala (Hebrew: היללה), which translates as "The Howl", is a band from the north of Israel with a mesmerizing human odyssey of poetics, groove, and sound. They play original folkloric music, which takes its time and movement from the houses of prayer and the gospel, the trumpets of the saints, Chinese calligraphy, and as well as from the never-ending enchantment of the earth - grass, sea, rock, lightning, thunder, and morning stars. The band performs the compositions and songs of Nitay Kelly, the lead singer of the band. The songs are hymns, lamentations, and prayers to the mystery that may help carry the wounded to this miracle. |

Search | Add | 3 | Cardavercus | Took the name Cardavercus in 1998, and led by ex-Severe Warning founder Bryan Renken and main songwriter Ace The Raven in 1998. Formed from the combination of two previous bands. Renken, led by Renken, Ace, Darrin Winne, and Gary "Meat" Vosecky from 1993 to 1994 (which also recruited Mike Marczak in 1994), and 1996-1997, and an unnamed band of Ace, Scott, and Mike that lasted from 1994 to 1996, before they combined into the new Renken lineup in 1996. This lineup would record a 5 song demo in June of 1997 that includes future-Cardavercus songs. This lineup then changed their name to Cardavercus in early 1998, a name that Ace thought of in August of 1997 and was included in a list of possible band names to change Project Raven to, until this project was put on hold to focus on Renken. Under both names, Renken and Cardavercus, they would end up playing some previous Project Raven songs, and newer Ace-penned songs that he would later bring back his solo project after Cardavercus split up. The 1997 demo included "Immune" and "The Secret (Non Omnis Moriar)" and "Life Will Decay", all past Project Raven songs, and after the name change to Cardavercus they would play these as well as "Free" and "Threshold", "The Dark Plan", "Blinded", "The Unseen" and others, many later recorded on the Ace the Raven album "Fortress of Apathy" in 2005. Cardavercus also even played a cover of Nitefall's "Island of Courage... Sea of Despair", which Project Raven and Ace The Raven both also covered, although both versions are unreleased. During the early days of Renken, 1993-1994 they would play many re-structured Severe Warning songs, as well as future-Cardavercus songs such as "Cold Vengeance", "Water Into Wine" and "Dying Day", as well as future Ace The Raven songs such as "Hell Is Above" and "Journey Into Fear". Cardavercus' recorded their debut 4-song demo in early 1999 and independently released it in spring of the same year. Their official press packs of the era list Venom, Mercyful Fate and Sepultura as some of their influences. In late 1999 they went back into Digitrax Recording Studio and began working on their second CD "Cardavercus II: We Return Again, but unfortunately they split up for good during the recording process and it was never completed. In 2005 Ace The Raven re-issued the demo, with a varied front cover and on an enhanced CD with a bonus QuickTime Video clip of the song "Dying Day", recorded in concert in 1999 from one of shows that Severe Warning bassist Darrin Winne played with them for. This is another song that dates back to Renken rehearsals in 1994. After the Renken/Cardavercus lineup of Renken/Ace/Scott/Mike was established Renken started another band as well, called Bat Rastard. This band included both Renken drummers in the band officially, alongside original Severe Warning bassist, Poyzon-founder, future Cardavercus bassist Darrin Winne, and Bryan Renken on guitars and vocals. Bat Rastard recorded a 3 song demo "Bat Rastard Live at Practice", played live onto on 8-Tracks on July 8th 1997, and soon after played their only 2 live shows, with Greg on drums for one and Scott on drums for the other. After their split Darrin would fill in live for several Cardavercus shows in 1998 and 1999, before officially replacing Mike Marczak in 2000 shortly before the band split up.
