Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 3 | Carol Dodds | In the chronicles of our industry, when listing the most technologically advanced, visually audacious concert tours, U2’s Zoo TV is among the top. The 1992-93 video-heavy phenomenon was an ostentatiously staged multimedia experience intended to overload the senses. Whatever the band’s intention, its dazzling use of video left its mark, and that was emblematic of the work of Video Director Carol Dodds. As a video pioneer and innovator, she is equally technically proficient and artistically inclined. (She and Willie Williams would win an LDI Designer of the Year award for their work on this tour.) And this five-leg, 157-show world tour was just one of the many groundbreaking shows where Dodds was a trendsetter. There is also her work with David Bowie’s Sound+Vision tour, Madonna’s Drowned World tour, and Amnesty International’s Human Rights Now! tour. She was also one of the five directors of Woodstock 1999 worldwide live pay-per-view. Others she’s worked with through the years include Cyndi Lauper, Roger Waters, Todd Rundgren, Marvin Gaye, Toto, Ricky Martin, Paula Abdul, Mariah Carey, the Eagles, KD Lang, and Michael McDonald. Perhaps her work seen most was with Bruce Springsteen and most recently, Jimmy Buffett. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | 2 Wikked | 2 Wikked is a duo from Eindhoven representing the South part of the Netherlands. The kru consists of RodmanSan and Cruzaway which are both veterans of da Dutch 1980's HipHop scene. From 1995 they started making Breakbeat music with influences of Reggae, Soul, HipHop, Electro, Funk, Jazz and Movies. Next to creating music you can see why the awesome twosome are really goin' down when the Beats and Wikked Basses are rolling live on stage. You can find the roots of RodmanSan and Cruzaway starting from around 1985 when HipHop music exploded as a new hype in Europe. This is also the period when the duo started playing in several HipHop crews. RodmanSan was then more concentrating on creating music, while Cruzaway could be found as a rapper behind the microfone. After playing in different bands the twosome decided to work together, this gave them the new impulse for letting the music change from HipHop to Break Beats. At a show you can find 2 Wikked back as Mixologists, which means that there is no DAT-recorder involved but that the songs are again live mixed and played. In this way the duo can allow themselves to interact with the public and reproduce a song to the likeness of the people on the floor. Mixology is also explained as a multi-functional word for everything that has to do about creating Electronic music. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Neon Baptist | Formed in the 1970s, a band named The Jokers evolved around members Johnny Dowd (guitars), his sister Jennifer Edmondson (drums) and Dave Hinkle (bass). By 1988, the band had become Neon Baptist and featured, in addition to Dowd, Edmondson and Hinkle also Dowd's nephew Max Ormond, Cally Arthur and Mike Edmondson. The early 90s saw further additions when Dowd's to be long-time musical companion Kim Sherwood-Caso joined the band, replacing Arthur. | Search | Add | 3 | Steve Kovacev | Steve Kovacev | Mr. Kovacev has spent a lifetime with the Tambura ... over 50 years. In the middle 1930's, Steve Kovacev performed with the Marsovian Troubadors, a semi-professional group of musicians centered in Kenosda, Wisconsin, and led by Mr. Stanley Jambrek. Later he also performed wtih the famed Elias Serenaders, a group that toured the United States from one end to the other on the vaudeville circuit. After the War years, Steve joined the Duquesne University Tamburitzans as both tambura player and dancer in 1947. As a tambura player, he played every one of the tambura instruments at one time or another. One year he even played the little-known instrument, the 'celo-berde'. In 1952, Mr. Kovacev became the Assistant Director of the Duquesne University Tamburitzans. From that time to the present, he has arranged music for the tambura. A short time later he became the Treasurer of the Tamburitzan organization. In 1954, along with Walter W. Kolar, he helped to establish the Duquesne University Tamburitzans School of Music, a movement which has spread all across the U.S. with groups known as the 'Junior Tamburitzans'. He was chosen to be the Director of the annual Tamburitza Federation Festival in 1974. That same year he began to produce a long list of Duquesne University Tamburitzans long-play phonograph recordings, about 40 in all. With the Tamburitzans, Steve Kovacev has traveled to every state in the U.S. and 35 countries around the world, always spreading the word about the tambura. Working closely with Walter W. Kolar, Mr. Kovacev has created the Tamburitzan Cultural Center in Pittsburgh and has helped plan the new Tamburitzan National Folk Arts Center concept. In 1970, Mr. Kovacev helped to establish DUTIFA, the Duquesne University Tamburitzans Institute of Folk Arts within which he has been teaching the Tambura, on a university level and for academic credit, for the past 14 years. He is the only person in the United States to teach the tambura this long for academic credit and he is still actively teaching at Duquesne University. Mr. Kovacev is presently an Assistant Professor at Duquesne University and continues to lend guidance to his first love - the Duquesne University Tamburitzans. |

| Search | Add | 3 | Intense Molecular Activity | Intense Molecular Activity aka IMA was based in New York City and active between 1979 and 1982 as the duo of Don Hunerberg (synthesizers) and Andy Blinx (drums and percussion). Don, a studio Sound / music engineer and musician, Andy an electronic clothing designer, drummer and sound reinforcement engineer at downtown clubs like Max's Kansas City, Mudd Club and CBGB. In between doing sessions at Radio City Music Hall Studios for groups such as Ramones, Richard Hell, Sonic Youth, Liquid Liquid, John Zorn, Glenn Branca and many others, IMA took advantage of off hours to create their own music. As far as influences go, Don's background was in electronic music and Andy's in prog rock. To produce the songs, Don used his own method of creating patterns from 2-track tape loops and then edited them together on to a 24-track recorder adding more tracks of overdubs, In a very similar way that sequencers are used today. By 1980 the duo honed their own unique sound and version of Post Punk and No-Wave with the tools of the trade of the early 1980s. Situated above the proscenium of the Radio City Music Hall stage, the studio was outfitted with a variety of orchestral instruments (timpani, bells, xylophone, etc). They self-released a 4-song EP titled “IMA” on an 8” flexi-disc which was distributed by Ed Bahlman of 99 Records. The music bridges the wild psychedelic-rock of the 60s, the synth-punk of the late-70s and the elaborate constructions of progressive-rock. There are nods to the freak-outs of Chrome and the super neurosis of Suicide, but IMA takes a more clinical approach which also takes notice of Hawkwind and Pink Floyd's Interstellar Overdrive. Some 20 years later DJ Hell lifted elements of IMA's song Blurb virtually intact and uncredited for his electroclash club hit Keep On Waiting (2003). | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Los #2 Dinners | From Last FM profile: Los #3 Dinners are a mainstay of San Antonio’s diverse music scene. The story begins in 1979 with the band’s first incarnation, Los #2 Dinners. After years of pounding the SA club scene, The Dinners called it quits in order to pursue personal interests in the early 1990s. Shortly after, band leader “Lenny” Eric Friedland, guitarist Frank Karpienski, bassist Bart Nichols, and blues musician/childhood friend Joe Shortt formed the short-lived blues band “The Pralines.” As word of the Pralines spread around town, a renewed interest in the old #2 Dinners material emerged. In 1995, The Prailines changed their name to Los #3 Dinners after the addition of drummer Jake Perales. Thus, Los #3 Dinners was born! The sound of Los Number #3 Dinners is a high-energy mix of guitar-driven garage rock, South Texas soul, surf-instrumental, and the blues. The Dinners are constantly shaping and tightening their sound while playing the songs that have been rocking San Antonio for nearly three decades. | |

| Search | Add | 3 | Grier Edward Carson | Grier Carson | Sampling has facilitated a true paradigm shift in the modern musical experience. Like photography did for the visual arts, the technological phenomenon of recordable sound and its application as a principle unit for composition fundamentally alters our experience with music in that it makes concrete what was once ephemeral and temporal. A performance art made plastic, music may now explore the dynamic extremes and subjective anxiety consistent with a cacophonous landscape. Musicians can now bypass the limitations of note-based/rhythm-based composition, rooted in the logistical constraints of performance and interpretation, and create works expressly designed for repeated listening, like sculpture which benefits from prolonged and repeated examination. This is the perspective that informs the production of all GEC music. |
