Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | The Kirkintilloch Band | The story of the Kirkintilloch Band begins over 127 years ago, at the end of the 19th century. This was a time of great industrial and social upheaval in the area. The town had prospered during the industrial revolution and thanks to the proximity of the Forth & Clyde Canal and good railway links to Glasgow and beyond, Kirkintilloch flourished as a centre for weaving, shipbuilding and iron founding.

Search | Add | 3 | Spacedays | Spacedays are a rock band from Singapore. Founded in 2009, their compositions bear close associations to the late 1960s psychedelic music subcultures. Audiences have also drawn close parallels to American garage rock bands. Although, their sonic affinities lie with music subcultures abroad, lyrically, Rahmat "Mamat" Suliman (vocals/keyboards/guitar) writes about daily experiences and relationships in the urban confines of Singapore. “Some days we just need some space to observe and to reflect,” he muses. Having released the debut psychedelic garage rock LP, Is It In The Circle?, as a two-piece alongside co-founder and long time collaborator, Shakir "Shaks" Samat (drums) in January 2013, Mamat roped in Zaki Shariff (keyboards) and Mohamed Hanis (bass) to expand their repertoire and explore their self-proclaimed “psychedelic groove rock” genre characterized by a guitar-driven sonic space complemented by the added textures of the “cosmic” upper registers of the keyboards. The band released Moondust, the band's second EP, in February 2014 as part of a collaboration project with Lomography Blue Hour Sessions, The Rockstar Collective (RSC), graphic designer Djohan Hanapi and visual projection artist Wu Jun Han. The EP was launched to a crowded Home Club audience on 21 Feb 2014.

Search | Add | 3 | Perla McRay | "The Voice", as you call your friends, was born in the Philippines as one of three daughters of a typical Filipino family of musicians. It so happened that Perla preferred to sing early on rather than play with Barbie dolls. Her mother was her patient teacher and trained her voice at a young age. The first local appearances in her home country followed after her high school engagements abroad at club level in Japan and in the Arab region. Greece, Portugal, Cyprus and all of Scandinavia were the next stops before Perla McRay started her show career in Germany.

Search | Add | 3 | Di Arty | Artyom Demenev | Di Arty aka Blik’s real name is Artyom Demenev. He was born in 1982 in Novosibirsk. His first appearance on public as a hard techno DJ was on the first big rave in his home town in 2005. By that time he had no experience in mixing, but he could easily play his own tracks. Since that, he became a welcome guest at almost all big underground events in Novosibirsk and around. Later, Artyom discovered IDM, Ambient, Glitch and Modern Classical genres and started making other kind of stuff. However, he didn’t break up with techno, otherwise, he often deals with it, adding some fresh colors and infinitely experimenting with IDM tricks. |

Search | Add | 3 | Batheethyim | Batheethyim began as a Dark Ambient/Experimental project with harsh Black Metal screams and lyrical themes of mythology, evil, anti-christianity, pagan folklore, darkness, depression, black magic/rituals, etc. This style was played on their first 2 tapes, before eventually becoming a fully Black Metal project in the late 90s, adding focus on guitar riffs, blastbeats, etc. although still with Ambient elements in some intro tracks and with many experimental structures and ideas. The albums themes were inspired by The Carpathian Forest of Wallachia, and was entirely recorded under the full moon, being recorded throughout the full moons of thee months during the Winter of 1998/1999. This would be their full-length debut and also their final release. Before Batheethyim, sole-member James Barbuto had another project where he combined Dark Ambient with the vocals and themes of Death Metal and Doom/Death, called [a=Blood Mercifier].

Search | Add | 3 | Gerakan Pramuka | Pramuka | Gerakan Pramuka Indonesia (Indonesian Pramuka Movement) is the national scouting organization of Indonesia. Scouting was founded in the Dutch East Indies in 1912, and Indonesia became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) in 1953. Its membership is compulsory for students.[1] It has 21,599,748 members (as of 2011),[2] making it the world's largest Scout association. Each year 14 August is celebrated as Pramuka Day to honour the organisation's first public parade in 1961, wherein independence hero Sultan Hamengkubuwono IX of Yogyakarta was appointed as the first Chief Scout of the GPI. With the 2013 education curriculum in effect, it is compulsory for all Indonesian students to join the scout movement as scouting is officially one of the study units in the curriculum. This contributes to the movement's recognition as the world's largest. The name Pramuka was derived from the acronym of "Praja muda karana", (Sanskrit: young people willing to work). The Pramuka word in Indonesia is currently often used as a term for scouting. |

Search | Add | 3 | Hypnogator | Hypnogator's prog rock inspired rhythms and structures seated in a foundation of hard and classic rock stylings offers a surprising, but oddly familiar crunchy atmosphere. "Relf Kent's guitar lines are rooted in an eclectic fusion of jazz and classic rock with tones fat enough to make you think there are 3 guitarists. Jonathan and Liam in the rhythm section on bass and drums respectively have been playing together since they were kids giving them a seemingly supernatural intuition for each other's timing and texture - opening up a world of progressive rhythms as it were 4/4 child's play. George's vocals are inspired by the likes of Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age, leading to an angry, rhythmic and often times ghostly leading line, bleating anti-government and anti-modern rhetoric." - Quoted directly from Satan himself.

Her musical work began in 2004 with the children's concert "God Loves Children" in a kindergarten. Since then, there have always been smaller events in which she has taken part. In 2010, the starting signal was given for larger concerts in the Main-Rhön region, at which Doris Kampmann and her “stage children” have already thrilled several thousand children and parents. The motto of the concerts is always “participate, watch and listen”, so the children are involved and have a lot of fun thanks to a sensible rhythm. Search | Add | 3 | Werbeniuk | Werbeniuk are a band from Teesside in the North-East of England. Not easily pigeon-holed, their "Teesside World Music" combines percussion, electronics and catchy vocals with a political conscience and a strong sense of fun. Formed in March 2010, as a three-piece comprising [a1457477], [a1471096] and [a3876883], the line-up soon expanded when [a1471095] and [a3876884] joined. Gigging regularly since June 2011, the band released their first CD [r=5802778] in December 2012. Simon left the band to pursue other interests in the summer of 2013, so Martin Cass stepped in, and they carried on regardless. Martin quit in April 2016, and Tim Oxnard joined in the following October. The band are a well-established part of the Teesside music scene. Their instrument-swapping and the general on-stage chaos has arguably made them the region's premier Health & Safety risk, but certainly one of the best and most original live acts around. Michael, Tim, Gary, Jimmy and Andy (in no particular order) all sing and play (in no particular order): guitar, bass guitar, melodica, percussion, sampler, synthesizer, walkingstick bass, linen-basket drums, electronic drums. Simon and Martin used to do the same.

Search | Add | 3 | Martin Kirkegaard | Martin Kirkegaard | Biography Martin Kirkegaard (1976 - ) is a danish contemporary folk musician rooted in the improvisational aspect of the music based on the narrative storytelling. “real music should always have a real story to tell. A story that emanates from the moment of conception” he comments. His melodies and sketches come from the free space between his instrument and himself. Though he comes from a Blues and Jazz background he considered himself a folk musician but draws upon everything he hears. “Don`t box me in” he says. ”The world consists of sounds just waiting to get articulated”. In the light of this his travel to Africa has made a big and lasting impression on him and his way of looking at his instrument. Especially the string instruments of West Africa has inspired his guitarwork quiet a bit. And together with his travel to Scotland and The United States he has gathered a connection (in his mind) between the different folk music of the continents. He believes that every music is connected one way or the other. Of course he has his heroes (Robbie Basho, Ali Farka Toure, Abdullah Ibrahim, Bert Jansch, John Renbourn, Miles Davis, Ravi Shankar, Albert Ayler ect.) and his favorite patterns and colors but he always try to remodel, disassemble and translate the sounds he hears. On rare occasions he can play a covertune but he prefers to write/create/play everything himself. “It doesn`t fell right to me playing other people`s music. Maybe it is because I know it is not mine. I fell it is some others story that I am telling - it is a kind of an alienation”. Martin also believes in obstructions in music. He considers obstructions as a remedy for creating. And his most significant obstruction must be that he does not work with overdubs. Everything must be played as heard in real time. “That way I can make my music more authentic. I feel that I can be present in the moment on a hole other level. Maybe it is considered “old school” but I like it that way. You know, it is just a man and his instrument – a craftsman in process” he says. For many years he played in the trio DaFuGa that toured around Denmark for almost 8 years. Since then he has worked as a solo guitarist. In this context he has played concerts in Denmark at museums, festivals, small venues ect. The response has been surprising good (considered the somewhat narrow music genre) and his repeating patterns and almost hypnotic way of playing has left a lasting impression on the audience. Tar Gui is his official solo album debut (on vinyl) and consists of 10 pieces for guitar and 2 for banjo. It is an album full of decolorization, beauty spots, open wounds, small animals, love, rashes and other qualities. Here, no robot can hit the real edges of the music. It's music between man and wood. |
