Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Downbeat Switch | Formed in 2002, disbanded in 2017. Downbeat Switch is a band of friends with a passion for music, life, and positivity. The group was founded in the Summer of 2002 in Mathews, VA by Wayne (bass) and Meredith (guitar, vocals). They moved to Richmond, VA for college that Summer and began playing with another Mathews High School friend, Michael Register (drums), who had also moved to Richmond for school. They began jamming and recording in Meredith's basement beneath his apartment in the Fan district of downtown Richmond. They soon met Bryan Clark (vocals), a Richmond-born vocalist whom they met through Meredith's sister. The band recorded and mixed their first L.P. entitled "Funk Shui", that was comprised of raw demo songs compiled on one disk which they released on June 29th, 2004. Blending rock, funk, reggae, jazz, hip hop, and folk in an eclectic ensemble of riffs, melodies, and grooves. With rhythms from the Caribbean, to Southern rock break downs, Downbeat Switch became known for their quick changes, tight rhythmic melodies, scat-like vocal harmonies, and high-energy live shows around Virginia. In 2005, Doug DeForge (keyboard, turntables), another Mathews, VA native joined the band and the band recorded a follow-up album entitled: "Seconds", which they released on July 6th of 2005. Downbeat Switch continued to tour around Virginia and North Carolina for the following three years until Doug left the band in the Fall of 2008. Tommy Vinson (keyboard), another Richmond-born musician and friend of Meredith's joined the group in the Winter of 2008. They began writing and recording in their new studio they had built in the West End of Richmond at Wayne and Meredith's house. Downbeat Switch released their third self-produced album entitled: "Run from the Sun" on June 5th, 2009. During the recording sessions of "Run from the Sun", the band brought in a talented female guest vocalist named Jenna Bayly, to add backup vocals to a few tracks on the album. She worked out beautifully in the songs she was on, and the band asked her to start performing shows with the group full time. In the Winter of 2010, Bryan left the group after 7 years as the frontman, and Jenna stepped up to become the lead vocalist with Meredith and Tommy singing backup. She brought a whole new sound and image to the band, and inspired the group to embark on a different level of musicianship. Jenna strived to diversify the sound and lyrics on new songs, while also staying true to the rich harmonies with Meredith that the band had always been known for. On October 1st, 2010, the band released an EP entitled: "The Red Door Sessions" that featured Jenna on lead vocals on 8 previously recorded and released songs from "Run from the Sun", as well as minor mixing and mastering adjustments were done. The EP was released for free at live shows and as a free download on several of the band's websites. "The Red Door Sessions" was very well received and the group was able to distribute hundreds of physical copies just within a few months. In the Winter of 2011, after 9 years as the co-founder and drummer for the group, Michael parted ways with DbS to pursue his career in marketing and embarked on an extensive U.S. tour with a promotion company. But with his recommendation and wholehearted support, the band asked their long-time friend and supporter, Rob Reardon to pick up the drumsticks. With Rob's diverse drum styles and seasoned skills, he was the perfect fit for Downbeat Switch. Shortly after Rob joined the group, Tommy stepped down as the keyboardist and was replaced by Sean Reese. A local Richmond musician who was eager to add his own flavor to the groups already diverse sound. Since then, the band continues to write, record, and perform their music for their fans all over.

Search | Add | 4 | Tűzkerék | Tűzkerék (in English: Wheel of Fire) was a Hungarian rock band. It was founded by Radics Béla on January 12, 1970. In Hungary, Tűzkerék played [a=Led Zeppelin] songs for the first time. The ensemble was made up of excellent musicians, but cultural politics of their time always considered them too suburban, and their records could not be released. They disbanded in late 1971. Around 1975, Radics revived the orchestra, playing in various line-ups, from 1977 to 1978 his companions were [a=Döme Dezső] and [a=Póka Egon], and in 1978 a TV recording was made with this line-up (3 songs were performed in [a=Déri János]'s Youth Hour). The line-up changed from 1979: [a=Soldos László], Szabó "Richie" György and [a=Kun Tamás] joined the ensemble. With this line-up, record designs were made, the material that would have been recorded was put together, there was also a cover design, but the making of the record failed. Around 1981, Radics teamed up with members of the Arena band and continued to perform with them as the Tűzkerék until his death in 1982. Search | Add | 4 | János Decsényi | János Decsényi was born in 1927 in Budapest. He studied piano under Magda Vásárhelyi and composition under Rezső Sugár at Conservatory and graduated from Endre Szervánszky’s composition department of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music. Since 1951 he has been on the staff of Hungarian Radio’s Music Department. His works display his intense interest in other art forms and the classics. His works are, on the one hand, oriented towards the material: they test out many different instruments and several technical possibilities inherent in them – he carefully designs his compositions to fit the instruments. However, he also strives to achieve in them an emphatically beautiful sound and characteristic tonal colourings. These two principles are juxtaposed in his works: the micro-structures are arranged within the whole so that their own, independent existence does not hinder and actually promotes the appearance of major surfaces of sound. The pieces that primarily depict colours and moods, are at deeper levels constructed according to a strict principle, not a single bar of the great colour patches being left as random simultaneities of sound. Search | Add | 4 | Big Yellow Taxi.dk | Big Yellow Taxi started out in 2001 as a café duo based on the respect and love for Joni Mitchell's music. Their demos were heard on the internet, and they were invited to play in the U.S. at a so-called Joni Fest fan gathering. Their first tribute CD, " A Tribute to Joni Mitchell", was recorded with the duo still being unaware of Joni’s unreleased song material. The latter was, however, presented to them, when they performed at the Joni Fest, which was held in Big Indian, near the town Woodstock, NY, ( famous for the festival to inspire Joni's Woodstock,) In 2002. After the show, a collector of her music approached them with scrap tapes of the young Joni, thus inspiring the duo to record two more tribute albums, " Unknown and Famous Songs of Joni Mitchell" and "Treasures of Joni Mitchell", to the Joni Mitchell fan community's grand appraisal. On the present album, “The Young Joni Mitchell DisCovered”, the duo once again shows respect for the originality of Joni Mitchell's music by demonstrating their loyalty to Joni’s guitar tuning and vocal style, something clearly separating them from the pack. It's a remixed and re-mastered compilation of the duo’s two last tribute albums featuring only material, which Joni never released herself.

Search | Add | 4 | Toyboat Toyboat Toyboat | toyboat toyboat toyboat | toyboat toyboat toyboat is a popular jazz–punk ensemble from Portland, OR, in the United States. The band's music is simultaneously heavy, danceable, and provocatively unusual. Reviewers have described it as “Sun Ra meets Devo,” “Miles meets Fugazi,” and “Afrobeat meets the Melvins.” Jonathan Boober's review for allmusic.com claimed “if Raymond Scott, Martin Denny and Bootsy Collins decided to form a band at Ennio Morricone’s house, it might sound something like toyboat toyboat toyboat.” Travis Henderson plays electric trumpet reminiscent of Bitches Brew-era Miles. The rare photoreactive synthesizer, The Drum Buddy, invented by New Orleans' Mr. Quintron, is symmetrically matched with drum set and electric bass. Despite befuddling journalists' efforts to categorize their aesthetic, the combo have enjoyed happy pairings onstage with national and international acts including Pere Ubu. Drummer Mehmet "Memo" Vurkaç earned his PhD in computational ethnomusicology and brings Brazilian rhythms and Turkish funk to an already eclectic melange of influences. He has performed on numerous occasions with Pink Martini and Jorge Alabê as well as one-offs with Obo Addy, Vi Hart, Michael Spiro/Mark Lamson, an early MarchFourth Marching Band, and Brazil’s Olodum, and live radio braodcasts with Mirah and Fishbone. Vurkaç appears on Mirah's 2009 album (a)spera (K Records) also featuring members of The Decemberists and The Haggard. The band have played over 90 shows across the West Coast in venues including Doug Fir, Mississippi Studios, Someday Lounge, Dante’s, Rotture, Ash St., Valentine's, Berbati's, White Eagle, and The Know in Portland, the Funhouse, Highline, and The Mix in Seattle, the Stork Club in Oakland, Hemlock in San Francisco, and a recurring showcase in the Idaho/Washington Valley. Their first EP, AMPLE FiRE, was released at various times on LEGO USB, CD, and 10-inch record. The band's second EP, COMPLICATED BODIES, was released March 2017 on CD. |

Search | Add | 4 | TRANCITIV | TRANCITIV was founded in 1995 by Mike (vocals & keyboards) and Uschi (vocals & guitar) with the aim to combine Viennese dialect and Viennese attitude to life with groovy reggae vibes. The band released their first album "Es is Zeit" in 2009. This was followed by "TRANCITIV" (2012) and "Roots" (2014). The name TRANCITIV is meant to indicate both a potential achievement of a trance-like state through music and the fundamentally positive vibes the band spreads through their music. The profound and partly socially critical lyrics, which are written by Mike, let the need for more "togetherness" in love and respect be felt. Trancitive music should give people hope, but at the same time give them joy and above all motivate them to dance!
