Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Wyser | Henry Lee Robinson | Wyser is a rapper from Hunters Point in San Francisco, California. Henry Robinson aka Budwyser (or Wyser) was born on June 17, 1967. Budwyser got his name in 1990 after a rapper by the name of The Millard from Sunnydale Bayview. The Millard was the main insperation in Budwyser's name and was rapping and representing for Hunters Point at the time. Budwyser was so inspired in the rapper that he had a nickname for him and would simply call him "Miller" (like the Miller Lite beer) and would later called himself "Budwyser" King of the Rappers (like the Budweiser beer). At the the time, Budwyser and The Millard were battle rapping and dissing each other as a friendly competition and would go back and forth at each other, freestyle after freestyle until eventually The Millard started to promote Budwyser at shows while still dissing him. From there the name Budwyser took off all over the Hunters Point section. In 1991, Budwyser started getting on the radio 106 KMEL FM with Evan Luck and was on "The Battles Of The Rappers" several times. Later that year, Budwyser released his very first E.P. entitled "Life As A Nigger" in which the E.P. was rediscovered years later on the internet and it's now considered an "Unknown Classic" and was featuring another Hunters Point native by the name of DarRace Branner. A very rare cassette tape and it is extremely difficult to find. At the time of the EP release, Budwyser and a childhood friend by the name of Christopher Matthews who is now known as Black C of the legendary group RBL Posse had bought studio equipment and beat machines at a local Pawn Shop. At the time, Black C was the DJ, Budwyser and other Hunters Point natives name T-Lowe and his brother Bay Bay were the rappers. In 1992, Budwyser, Bay Bay and DarRace started working on there first official album entitled "You Can't Fade Me" under the name "The Product". It's considered a "Frisco Classic" in the Bay Area. It has songs like "You Can't Fade Me", "Bitches & Cops" & "Darling, Darling Baby" in which became underground classics. The album features T-Lowe and Black C & Mr. Cee of RBL Posse. The album was produced by T.C. who would gone on to produces classic albums for Totally Insane, I.M.P., Cold World Hustlers, RBL Posse, Herm Lewis, S-I-C, A.T.C., T-Gunn, Dre Dog aka Andre Nickatina, Rappin' 4-Tay, 11/5, Guce, just to name a few. Both projects "Life As A Nigger" and "You Can't Fade Me" are now extremely difficult to find and it's now collectable items. Budwyser took a 20 year break but he is now back in the studio and ready for a cameback on a new album called "Haters Come & Go" for the summer 2016 under the name "Wyser". |

Search | Add | 5 | KUT Goldcard | Katsuyuki Hosoda | Japanese House DJ/producer from Tokyo. Kut started out in Tokyo spinning parties around 1989. Soon he purchased his first sampler and began making tracks on his own in the early 90's. Shortly thereafter, he quit DJing in favor of production. From 1994-1998 he spent time in various US cities. He absorbed the vibes and techniques there from many US studios including NY's D&D Studios. After coming back to Japan, Kut dropped out of production for a few years. This didn't last long as the music called him back. [l=Elephanthaus]/[l=Real Estate Records] owner [a=Tim Baker] discovered Kut and signed him for 3 EP's. Unlike many Japanese artists, Kut soon aimed to focus on the international game. New York's [l=4th Floor Records] quickly signed him for "Kut Presents Hot for Love". These disco flavored cuts quickly found their way into playlists, charts and record bags of many DJ's all over the world. At the same time, Kut started focusing on Europe and was immediately picked up for several EP's and put on remix duty on such labels as [l=Bush] (UK) and [l=Oxyd Records] (Italy). Delving headfirst in a new direction (Techno and Tech-House) Kut's remix for [a=DJ Kruze]'s "Let Me In" on [l=Bush] ended up on [a=Carl Cox]'s Live 2nd Session – Area 2, Detroit. His 2003 R.I.C.H. EP on the US's biggest Tech-House label [l=Big Chief] rocked clubs internationally and was bagged and charted by a myriad of high profile DJ's over the world. In 2004, [a=Seishi Ono] & [a=Kut Goldcard]'s Plug 1 EP was cained by hundreds of DJ's including [a=Carl Cox]. 2005 saw remixes on [l=Toolroom Trax] (UK) and [l=Brickhouse] (Germany). Recently he was signed to United Nation of House on [l=C2 Records (UK) / CR2 Records (UK)]. |

Search | Add | 5 | Red Caps Trio | In June 1945, the Red Caps Trio (Steve Gibson, Romaine Brown, and Doles Dickens, backed Bon Bon on "If You Cared For Me", "Again And Again And Again", "Please Think Of Me Sometime", and "Don't Go Back On Your Word". In July, Bon Bon and the trio waxed ten tunes. Four of them ("I Drove You Into Some Else's Arms", "Do You Know How It Feels To Be Lonesome", "Building A Dream", and "I Just Had To See You Dear") were issued as Bon Bon and the Red Caps Trio. The other six ("Playin' The Field", "Riffin' With The Riff-Raff", "Must We Say Goodbye?", "Heaven Happens Tonight", "Too Bad", and "It Was So Nice Knowing You") were released as Bon Bon and the Park Avenue Trio. In August 1945, Bon Bon and the Red Caps Trio recorded "My Dreams Are Getting Me Nowhere" and "You'd Better Stop Playing With Fire". This time, the Red Caps Trio consisted of Steve Gibson, Romaine Brown, and bassist Israel Crosby (who had been with Fletcher Henderson's orchestra and had briefly been a member of the 3 Sharps And A Flat). November 1945 saw two records by the "Magnolia Five" (all four songs, led by Romaine Brown, had been recorded in September: "It Hurts Me, But I Like It", "Don't Come Cryin' To Me", "If You Can't Get Five, Take Two", and "Ouch!"). This was actually the Red Caps Trio (Steve Gibson, Romaine Brown, and Israel Crosby), augmented by musicians Walter "Foots" Thomas and Reginald Merrill (both sax and clarinet players). At that same session, they did the last Bon Bon and the Red Caps Trio recordings: "I Admit" and "Two Can Play That Game".

He had the honour of becoming one of the first Iban to record an EP record for the Singapore based Nanyang Radio before the emergence of other renowned Iban artists such as Michael Jemat and Christopher Kelly. Different from other Iban artists, he preferred to record Iban language covers of songs by Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdinck when many of his contemporaries borrowed tunes of Malay or Bollywood songs. His distintive voice has won him many fans over the years with songs such as Maria Ambai Aku, Lebak Pengerindu, Benak Menua and the list just goes on! In recordings, he was often accompanied by The Peaks Electrical, a band from Singapore. He worked as a policeman and passed away on 24th July 2018. |

Search | Add | 5 | Alan Barzman | Alan Barzman, known to friends as "Barz", was a advertising writer and comedian. He was born in Portland, Oregon on December 1, 1931, and later died there on October 21, 2020. He graduated from the University of Oregon and received his master's from Boston University. Where, in 1956 he wrote his thesis "Paper-backs: a literary trend in communications". He specialized in radio advertisements with humor. In the 1960's he teamed up with cowriter Bob Kline, together they researched and released various advertisements, as well as released a humorous joke book called "This is the Nice (and Naughty) Book". Through his radio work he also got involved in voice over work for animation, on such projects as "Harry Nilsson 's The Point" 1971 animated television special, playing the narrator, and father roles in the second televised version. As the father mouse in the 1977 film "The Mouse and His Child". Also in bit parts in other animated TV films such as the 1979 "Puff the Magic Dragon in the Land of the Living Lies" playing a rock, and the 1980 film "Carlton Your Doorman" playing a Dog Catcher. His biggest TV role would come as the voice of Herb, a penguin puppet, in the science children's show "Beakman's World", along with his business partner Bert Berdis playing the voice of Don another penguin. While working on advertisement commercials he began working with Pat McCormick, and they eventually began a series of radio spots called "From Studio B", creating a entire production company called [l880260] around these comedy skits. They released 12 records in the first "Season" which featured Alan interviewing Pat, in adlibbed comedy skits. A second Season of 260 skits from "From Studio B" was advertised, and recorded, but this time additional performers were also interviewed by Alan. During this time he also founded the award-winning advertising company [l1239852] with Jim Kirby which evolved into [i]Bert, Barz & Kirby Comedy Radio Company[/i] when [a2068205] joined them as a partner in 1982. In 1984 he and Berdis were the featured guests on a educational film called "Radio Advertising Concepts", by the Australian Film, Television & Radio School. His book "Hearing Voices: Creating, Voicing & Producing Great Radio Commercials" was published in 2002, it was later republished in India as "Radio Advertising", by Unistar books in 2004. He is mostly known for being the voice on the television commercials with the Energizer Bunny, Alan says the famous phrase "He keeps going, and going, and going." He continued working in advertising at least until about 2003-2004, with his company "Barzman & Company".
