Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | FR' Mystery | Gwarn Music | [a=Tony Henry] was originally going to keep the [a=52nd Street] name active and carry on releasing music under the heading. [a=Lorna Bailey] a music graduate from Birmingham but studying at Manchester University joined him in 1990. After a dormant year at Virgin\10, they finally released Henry from his contract and allowed him to take the [a=52nd Street] name. [a=Cool Down Zone] were still in that period signed to the label. Henry and Bailey worked on songs for almost a year. The sound and direction they created was more akin to gospel tinged Nubian Soul. The two standout tracks 'I Just Wanna Be' and 'Somebody's Gonna Get Hurt' got the attention in 1991 of A&R Director Pete Edge at WEA Records UK. In order not to cause confusion between the two acts, as Henry remained close friends with his former band mates and would invite both [a=Tony Bowry] and [a=Mike Wilson] to play on various tracks, a decision was made to retire the 52nd Street name and thus [a=FR' Mystery] was born. Whilst discussions at WEA were progressing, Edge was offered a major position in New York which he took with immediate affect. Edge suggested that FR' Mystery did the deal with him in New York but Bailey still had a year and a half at university and Henry had just returned from living in LA, recording (in his words) a terrible third 52nd Street album. Henry decided to take FR' Mystery down the independent route instead. With financial help from the band's music publishers Virgin Music, Tony Henry formed record label Gwarn Music in 1991. In 1994 he was invited to bring the label to New Order manager [a=Rob Gretton]'s Rob's Records for distribution. Gretton had invited 52nd Street to come to Factory Records in 1982. |

Search | Add | 5 | OPTMS | Beatmaker with a deep passion for banging drums, groan synths, and raffish samples. Originally a Drummer and Turntablist since the late 90s, Optms blends his love for the unconventional sound without any genre boundaries. Born in mid 80s Yugoslavia and growing up in Bremen (Germany), Optms began playing drums at a young age. Making his first attempts on DAW in the late 90s and mind blown by the sounds of scratching, he discovered turntablism. 5 years of bedroom deejaying, making a few mixtapes under different monikers and experiencing first club gigs, it was in 2004, where Optms entered his first DJ-Competition, organized by Pro-Zeiko in Berlin. Later that Year, he took the opportunity to participate at the I.T.F. DJ-Battle. Stats: 2004: Kurt Lade Klub DJ-Battle Berlin / 3rd place. 2004: I.T.F. Hamburg Heats / 4th place. 2004: I.T.F. German Finals Scratch Category / 6th place. 2005: I.T.F. Hanover Heats / 3rd place. 2009: Wizard of Ahh #3 / 3rd place. 2010: Red Bull "Hit the Wax" / 2nd place. While still producing music beside his DJ stuff, it was at that time in 2010 to release his first EP "Blanes Beach Memoirs". In 2011, french label Vaatican Records (i.a. 1000names, Vlooper) re-released his "Electro-Cution EP", followed by the "Digital Cocadisco EP", released by italian label Pitjamajusto (i.a. Digi). Optms moved to Munich and came in touch with Jay Scarlett, DJ Explizit, Sepalot, Kuchen George, Deckpackers (Aspect, Snatchatec) & Highenders (Len Beam, Sixkay) which brought huge support on his live gigs, radio plays, etc. Optms released more music via miscellaneous labels such as Munich based Gold Diggers Records, by Felix Kirner (Pho Queue), Fwonk* (UK) & Subwise (Russia, i.a. 813) Over the years Optms supported the likes of Kaytranada, Afu-Ra, Rah Digga, Johnsen and shared stages with Homeboy Sandman, Scntst, Alec Empire, Erobique, Blade (Marc B. & Blade), Pfel (C2C), Fatoni, Hgich.T, Roger Rekless, The Analog Roland Orchestra, Danny Scrilla, Krts, Taprik Sweeze, Comfort Fit, Marc Hype, Kid Fresh, Rafik, Rasgunyado, B-Ju, Unkut, AKD, EVL NDL and many more.

Thodoris Kotsyfas (guitar), Giannis Papadopoulos (piano), Ntinos Manos (double bass) and Vasilis Podaras (Drums) were still studying at the Music Department of the Ionian University when they shared a common vision in music and started their “four member quintet”. In 2011, the four combined forces with the Swedish Greek Saxophone player Orfeas Tsoukalas and, after a year of frenetic creativity, their eponymous album was released through the Greek record label Puzzlemusik. While Tsoukalas only contributed to the one album, the four original members completed their lineup with a succession of guest artists, including the likes of the New York singer, JD Walter and tenor saxophonist [a=Tivon Pennicott]. The band's second album, “II”, guest stars Tivon Pennicott (Tenor sax) and [a=Takis Paterelis] (Alto sax) and will be released in November 2015.

Search | Add | 5 | Chona Borromeo | An aficionado of jazz music, Chona is not only a versatile and unique singer but she is a very prolific songwriter and composer. Music has always been a part of Chona Borromeo’s life. She has been singing for weddings and has been part of a church choir since the age of nine. It is a gift that she has carried and nurtured through the years. Fame however, has never been a part of her agenda. What her music and her life is that of love, worship and service, making it undeniable how deep and indelible her influence has been the lives of people she has come to call peers and most especially, family and friends. For many years, Chona had her humble beginnings on the stages of high-star hotels and prestigious establishments in Manila. A member of the FILSCAP since 2004, Chona is an accomplished songwriter and composer. Her song “Narito Lang Ako” won the Highly Commended Song Award in the 2004 ABS-CBN Himig Handog Songwriting Competition and was included in Vina Morales’ album Mamahalin Ka Nya. In 2006, she penned the powerful track, Simulan Natin, making the finals and thus being included in the Anti-Corruption Songwriting Competition and Album, a collaborative project of the Ombudsman and the British Embassy. Chona was also a “10-week Champion and Grand champion” at the Tanghalan ng Kampeon back in 1993. 2004 proved to be another pivotal year as Chona started to volunteer in Victory’s worship team. With God’s gift of music as a natural language for her, she served to communicate the love, power and majesty of Jesus to congregants. Known fondly as “ate Chona” she has become a mentor to fellow volunteers. Not only does she share her effective and honed musical know-how, she freely shares her life journey to friends and spiritual family, from being a free-spirited young adult to her current struggles and victories as a wife and mother, and as an all-around worshiper and child of God.

Unfortunately, the band has not been capable of delivering a consistent line of work because of the marginal conditions that the Peruvian Underground Scene has to endure constantly. |
