Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026

Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Michael Bialoguski From wikipedia: Michael Bialoguski (19 March 1917 – 29 July 1984) was a medical practitioner, violinist, conductor and intelligence agent. Born to Jewish parents in the Ukraine, his family fled for their lives from the communists in 1920, only to find themselves in Poland when Russia invaded in 1939. Bialoguski fled to Sydney, where, after a period in the army, he became a doctor, and made himself available to Australian intelligence services. He played a crucial role in the Petrov Affair, which culminated in 1954. As a violinist, he had been a member of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, but held longstanding ambitions to be a conductor. Repeatedly rebuffed, he was eventually was accepted by the Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena, Italy, where he obtained his Masters Diploma in 1967 under the guidance of [a=Franco Ferrara]. But, unable to secure any regular conducting engagements in the UK, he spent his life savings to hire the [a=New Philharmonia Orchestra] for a single concert at the Royal Albert Hall on 29 April 1969, which he conducted, to lukewarm reviews. The concert included Beethoven's 4th Symphony and Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2 with the pianist [a=Fou Ts'ong] as soloist. He also formed the Commonwealth Philharmonic Orchestra, which he conducted at the Albert Hall and in Westminster Abbey. He recorded two symphonies with the New Philharmonia - Martinů's 6th Symphony and Voříšek's Symphony in D - which were released on LP by Unicorn Records.

Search Add 3 John Centinaro John Centinaro is a long time Tampa area song writer and manager who's roots in music go back to the late sixties when he managed several groups. In the early 60's John was the manager of a local record store in Tampa called Ron's Record Shop, located at the Britton Plaza Mall. After a chance meeting with local youth Buddy Good, Centinaro began managing and producing Good's band, The Scopes. John was instrumental in getting there single "She's Got Bad Breath" & "Tears In Your Eyes", issued in the summer of 1967 on the USA label out of Chicago. The song features John and company doing a mersey-ish spoof on the topside, with a decent mid tempo song on the flip side. With his next band, 60's garage Band The Surprize, John managed and produced the band on his own Cent Record label out of Tampa, Florida. The band released there only single [r4928586], before breaking up and three of the members joining Centinaro's next project Mercy. Mercy were an American pop group from Brandon,Florida. They released a hit single hit on Warner Brothers Records titled "Love (Can Make You Happy)" which soared to #2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, and also peaked at #2 on the Adult Contemporary chart. Mercy had one other Billboard Hot 100 hit, the song "Forever", which reached #79 in June 1969. After Mercy, John hooked up with James Marvell & Buddy Good for there next venture as The Country Cavaleers. The Country Cavaleers were an oddity at the time, being Country & Western and yet both members sported long hair. “You’ve got to remember it was right after the movie Easy Rider,” explains Marvell. John was instrumental again in securing a record deal with MGM Records for the duo. John then went to work for Tone Record Distributors, a major record distributor out of Miami. He also worked as a booking agent for Buddy Lee Attractions in Nashville representing the likes of Hank Williams Jr, Willie Nelson, and Frank Sinatra Jr to name but a few. John's many years of experience has given him an in depth knowledge and understanding of the music business.

Humaniztikz are various musicians and artists not necessarily connected with Polish hip-hop. Musical participation of so many artists is going to give birth to a new quality of hip-hop expected. Search Add 3 Junior Mulemena Boys The Junior Mulemena Boys was a Zambian Kalindula band active in the late 1980's and early 90s. It was a spin off of the older [a2163726] and would eventually include two later Mulemena Boys members, [a8241647] on lead guitar and [a16442131] on drums. The band was rounded out by [a11922188] on rhythm guitar and [a16442152] on bass. The band played a mix of regular kalindula and Manchancha music. Junior Mulemena Boys released two albums, [r11930102] and [r9905248], as well as a number of singles. Sonny Kayombo would continue to play for the Mulemena Boys while active with Junior Mulemena Boys and several members of the Junior Mulemena boys played on the 1990 Mulemena Boys album, [r32478882]. Junior Mulemena Boys guitarist, Fred Bwalya, would be the only member of either group to feature on the last Mulemena Boys album from the early 2000's, [r29619262]. Junior Mulemena Boys is sometimes mistakenly referred to as another version of the Mulemena Boys, but they were, in fact, distinct bands with their own sound.

Search Add 3 Leo De Castro Kiwi Leo de Castro Kino New Zealand soul and blues vocalist. Born c.1948, passed away March 3, 2019. For most of the 1970s and 1980s New Zealand-born Leo De Castro was one of the best singers working in Australia. Leo was a permanent fixture on the pub/concert/festival circuit and was praised for his astonishingly soulful vocal abilities. The redoubtable singer was always able to surround himself with musicians of quality and distinction. Unfortunately he was under-recorded and this collection is the first legitimate attempt to anthologise the work of this great performer. The breadth and depth of the material that he did record proves categorically he was a contender for extensive commercial success. The reasons for a lack of widespread success are many and varied – it’s not our purposes here to debate or investigate the reasons fully – suffice to say that at least we can be grateful for the fact that he was such a force of nature as a performer. Particularly gratifying is being able to hear the live material (much of it previously unreleased) delivered by Friends circa 1972 and 1973. (Ian McFarlane)

Known for turning everyday moments into club-ready flips, he builds his sound around sharp percussion, cartoon textures, and unexpected rhythm shifts. Born from the online underground, KnightTheProducer! doesn’t chase trends, he bends them, drawing from pop, trap, and game-inspired loops to create something both chaotic and hypnotic. His catalog moves fast, unapologetic, and always in motion, a reflection of a mind that sees sound as animation in motion rather than just music.

Search Add 3 MonThruSun Amsterdam-based Dutch band in the tradition of [a299733]. Lead singer Hans Bos of Soft Parade returns in March 2020 with a new album under the name the MonThruSun. After a creative collaboration with Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) that resulted in acclaimed albums ‘Pure’ and ‘Get Well Soon’, Soft Parade stopped in 1996. The 2020 new album was recorded in Amsterdam IJland and Americain Studios with drummer / producer Remko Schouten (Stephen Malkmus, Zzz, Bull), Tinca Veerman (vocals), Robin Berlijn (piano, guitar), Dick Brouwers and Eric Maas (bass), Leon van Egmond (trombone), violinists Antonio Pliz and Robert Uchida, Robijn Boekelmans (cello) and Imke Jansen on viola. The name MonThruSun came up when Hans Bos was thinking of a new open/closed sign on the art gallery door in Amsterdam. The passion for the gallery where artists like Sarah Maple, Ciou, Ray Caesar and Darara exhibit made him think, how would it be if our space was open from Monday all through to Sunday. Always open, always living, always breathing arts and music. That's where the name MonThruSun came from. The songs were intentionally written and recorded from 2015 and on and first brought out as low-fi songs under the name Speaker. It took 5 years to re-record, arrange and mix the songs with the musicians. Many recordings were done in the Americain Studio, under the Americain Hotel right in the center of Amsterdam. It is cynical that the studio had to close in 2020 when HardRock Cafe took over the hotel and started to build a fitness club instead. Nice to know. Former Soft Parade bass player Eric Maas joins on the opening song 'Moon' and Dick Brouwers, also a former Soft Parade member plays bass on the other songs. He used to play bass in known Dutch bands like 13, Daryll-Ann, Ellen ten Damme, Shine and Claw Boys Claw. Robin Berlijn plays guitar and known from the bands Fatal Flowers, Ellen ten Damme, Moke and Kane. Leon van Egmond is member of the band Straf. Tinca Veerman is known from Bingo Trappers and Mongrell. Notes The song 'Family, it's Our Blood', no.3 on the album has a key role in the feature film ‘Hemelrijken’ (dir. Stanley Kolk). Musical reference The music on the album resounds with artists like Adam Green, Spain, Pavement, The Velvet Underground, Tindersticks and the Beatles.
