Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Fanny Reed Hammond | Fanny Bliss Reed (1875-1969) was a musician, curator, and benefactress of the arts, for whom the Pine Manor College Fanny Reed Hammond Collection of Keyboard Instruments was named. The daughter of Rev. Dr. Edward Allen Reed and Mary Bliss Reed, Mrs. Hammond was for most of her life a resident of Holyoke, Massachusetts. She married William Churchill Hammond, noted organist, at the Second Congregational Church of Holyoke where he was music director (today the United Congregational Church) on June 28, 1898 and they had two sons, William Churchill Hammond, Jr. and Lansing Van der Heyden Hammond. In the 1920s she appears to have arranged sheet music for the violin and piano, published under C. W. Thompson & Co. of Boston. She was curator of the Skinner Musical Collection for many decades, appearing to likely have taken up the mantle as the main curator at Wistariahurst after the death of Nils J. Ericsson, a contemporary of Arnold Dolmetsch, after his death on February 17, 1933. This coincided with the same year the catalog of that collection was first released under the commission of William Skinner (II). Mrs. Hammond would remain with the Wistariahurst collection as curator up through its donation to Yale in 1960, and recorded at least 2 records of her narration and explanation of its instruments.

Search | Add | 4 | Mediocre Bad Guys | Mt Airy, North Carolina Mediocre Bad Guys began in the fall of 2005 when three friends and music buffs in Mount Airy NC – drummer Les Slate, bassist Jerry Chapman, and guitarist Gary Manfredi – started jamming on some Jack Johnson Tunes. Eventually, MBG secured a few gigs at a local coffee house, attracting larger crowds and a steadier following. With Slate’s vocals hinting at Johnson’s without appearing to imitate, Mediocre Bad Guys were on their way. Around 2006 the band added some songs outside the Jack Johnson box (wonderful as that box is). Cover songs were chosen that played into the band’s lineup, as well as tunes that merged well with Slate’s pure vocals and the more rock-leaning vocals of Chapman. Working meticulously on the tunes, MBG sought not to just “play” others’ songs but to recreate them in a style that paid homage to the original while remaining their own. Some of MBG’s favorite artists to cover are: Ryan Adams, Tom Petty, Rolling Stones, Sister Hazel, Jack Johnson and countless classics from the 60’s and 70’s New songs are added all the time. Overt the years the band’s lineup has evolved, with Slate and Chapman remaining at the foundation. Steve Lindsley joined in on keyboard, guitar/mandolin and vocals; and Doug Davis on guitar, keyboard and vocals. In 2010, as a solid foursome, MBG began a concentrated effort of writing and recording original material; leading to the launch of the “Monthly Free Download” project in September 2011. With their tremendous songwriting chops, an album is certainly in their future. To date, MBG has delighted audiences at both premier nightclubs, festival, and private parties all across the Triad of North Carolina and beyond. They’ve shared the stage with The Little River Band as well as Bobby Keys, sax player for the Rolling Stones. At the same time, they’ve played in living rooms and in quarters so cramped that the keyboardist had to climb over the railing with a ladder. But that’s okay – because when it comes to the Mediocre Bad Guys, it’s always about the music. As it damn well should be.

Search | Add | 4 | Blkgrywht | Brooklyn Sheppard | Initially, I never would have imagined being called to a life of music. And I don’t think I imagined being called to a life with Jesus, either. But one day, God, finding me in a pit of loneliness and darkness, spoke to me through personal, uplifting Christian music. It didn’t take long for me to realize that I wanted to share this experience with others too. And while I still struggle with confidence at times, I won’t let that stop me from pursuing God’s calling for me, whatever that may be and wherever that may lead me. |

Search | Add | 4 | Darío González Moreira | Darío Moreira’s multicultural origins reflect a wide variety of influences in his compositions. He was born in Buenos Aires in 1962, into a family of Italian-Argentine and Portuguese-Galician emigrants, who returned to Galicia in 1964. He grew up in the town of O Porriño, in an “indianos” house run by his paternal grandmother. The rhythmic sound of the train, which crosses the town through the center, is part of his first sound memories. His mother, Lucía Moreira, a native of the province of Santa Fe (Argentina), transmitted her culture to him through literature, gastronomy and music. Since he was a child he had contact with the tango of the Rio de la Plata and argentine folklore; He learned the generic “palos” of flamenco with the gypsy community, and participated in several popular music groups. He studied Classical Guitar with professors Javier Fernández Oria, Uxío Mayo and Tomás Camacho at the Vigo Superior Conservatory of Music (Galicia), where he had the opportunity to receive master classes from maestro José Tomás, who highlighted his expressive strength. He also participated with teachers and students in jazz sessions, learning in a self-taught way. Within the folk music scene, he formed the group [a2451125], together with [a5146653], [a2525264], [a5146655] and [a5146654], performing a copious work as an arranger and composer on the traditional music repertoire of Galicia. They recorded 5 albums and performed at the main folk music festivals, being one of the Galician groups with more projection in the 80′s, and awarded with the Galician Critics Prize in 1989. Faced with the need to resolve the aftermath of a youthful fracture in his left arm, he started to use in an intuitive way technique similar to the renaissance “dedillo”, which consists of the alternate pulsation of the fingertip and fingernail. This allowed him to perform scales and melodic phrases at great speed, and also, to apply this resource on acoustic and electric guitar, getting the effect of the pick with the fingers. By observing this way of playing the string on many instruments from different times and cultures, he deepens the study of world music, applying innovative guitar techniques in his compositions and developing the capacity for improvisation, from a language full of rhythmic, melodic, harmonic and timbre resources.

Search | Add | 4 | Phenris | Started as a raw Black Metal / Black 'n' Roll band named Hater, and changed name to Phenris in early 2001 when their style metamorphosed into their current sound with the inclusion of influences from several different Metal genres. Today the band is described as Avantgarde Black Metal musically. Lord J. H. Psycho is one of the founding members of Furor Italicus, an independent Italian underground network of metal musicians, promoters and fans. Halphas and Necrum are also regular active supporters of the circle. Supremacy was a raw black metal side project that some Phenris members founded and sporadically rehearsed as between late 2001 and Spring-Summer 2003; they only recorded a handful of rehearsal tapes (now lost by the band members themselves) that were given away to friends. Endymion is NOT the same keyboardist from Opus Maledicta and [A=Lord Vampyr]. Dario Stolfi was only a drummer for two rehearsals.

Search | Add | 4 | The New Kinetics | Garage rock band from San Diego, California, formed in October 2010 by singer Birdy Bardot (real name Emily Reilly) and her husband, guitarist/keyboardist Brian Reilly, with drummer Jon Bonser and bassist Leslie Schultze. They self-released their debut EP Rock & Roll Has Got To Go that November, then signed to Aural Gravy Records for their first full-length album, Contact, released on CD and digital in September 2011. They wanted to release their next album on vinyl, but Aural Gravy was unwilling to pay for the expense, so the band ran a Kickstarter campaign and raised $5,000 to record in San Francisco with producer [a=John Vanderslice] and release the LP themselves. In Stereo was released in December 2012 on the band's own imprint, Anobel Records. Schultze departed the band in April 2013 to focus on her new project, [a=Flaggs], and was replaced by Josh Kmak. TNK broke up that June due to the Reillys' plans to move back to the East Coast, but plans changed and the band regrouped in early 2014 and recorded an EP, Red, which went unreleased. They announced their impending breakup in October 2016, and played their farewell show two months later on New Years Eve. The Red EP was released to streaming services in June of 2021.

Search | Add | 4 | Robin Greenstein | Robin is a singer-songwriter from NYC whose music is a mix of folk, pop, rock, blues, country and jazz. She calls her music "Acousticness." Imagine a female James Taylor; strong finger-picking, rootsy songs with sophisticated pop influences. Stong soulful singing and memorable original songs make a lasting impact on her audiences. Her songs have been recorded on Fast Folk and Atlantic Records. She was picked for a finalist spot at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival Songwriting competition (1989) in Texas on her very first application. Robin was also signed to Bob Dylan's publishing company as a writer for two years. She has performed in over 44 states and several countries including The Dominican Republic, The Bahamas, China, Japan, Mexico, Germany, Switzerland, Holland and Denmark. She is a Club Med performing artist. Robin performed extensively for college audiences across the U.S.for two decades in addition to playing at various folk venues. Her first album "SLOW BURN" was released initially as an independent in 1989. It was subsequently picked up for release in Europe by Swiss label BRAMBUS Records in 1992 and received rave reviews. Robin did her first European tour in 1994 and has part of every summer for the rest of that decade touring Europe, especially Denmark. In 1997 Band Together Records re-released SLOW BURN on CD in the USA. Robin's second CD "Acousticness" was released in 2000. Her third CD "Images of Women", released in 2002, was the first in a series of volumes which explore traditional folk and blues songs about women. Vol. 2 was released in 2010 and made the Grammys first ballot for traditional Folk Album of the Year. At the end of 2010, Robin released "Songs of the Season", a CD featuring music from an annual show she performed with Long Island musician Cecilia Kirtland. Robin has won music competitions at the Riverbank/Walden Radio Folk Festival and the NJ Folk Festival, South Florida Folk Festival and others. She's showcased at both the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, Kerrville Folk Festival the NJ Folk Festival, The Napa Folk Festival and many Folk Alliance Conferences. But her favorite gig all time was singing the national anthem at Madison Square Garden in NYC for her beloved New York Knicks! Robin plays both guitar and banjo. Her superb musicianship, powerful songs, strong singing and relaxed performing style win over audiences everywhere. She majored in Music at SUNY-Stony Brook with a concentration in Classical Guitar). Describing her music as "Acousticness", Robin mixes many styles of music - folk, pop, rock, jazz and blues- in an acoustic base. In a show, you might hear a jazz standard, a blues song, or a instrumental banjo dance tune scattered among her original compositions. Her music has the musical sophistication of James Taylor with the lyrical sensitivity of Joni Mitchell, and strong vocals like Linda Ronstadt or blues-influenced like Bonnie Raitt. Robin does a concert-lecture entitled "Images of Women," a look at women's lives thru traditional Anglo and Afro-American folk songs, as well as family and children's programs (see "Other Shows"). She is eligible for Meet The Composer grants as well as BOCES. She was a performer-clinician for Martin Guitars and teaches privately in the New York City area when she's not on the road (lessons in guitar, banjo, uke and voice).
