Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 3 Midnattsorkestern Formed 2009 in Gothenburg, Sweden. It was composed by David Löfberg who wrote music and lyrics for a dream ensemble consisting of the singer Elina Ryd, string quartet (Malvakvartetten), guitar, accordion and double bass. The fairly consistent theme of fine-tuned melancholy and night mood in music and lyrics soon gave the orchestra its name. The music is cross-genre, almost a kind of chamber music that borders on show and chanson. Singing and lyrics are central, but at the same time the instrumental is given a large place in the arrangements with winks to tango, jazz, etc., also based on the musicians' different backgrounds. The focus is on the melodies. Over the years, the orchestra has made about a hundred performances in a variety of contexts (see performance history) and received a great response from a large and wide audience. In the autumn of 2014, Midnattsorkestern released the full-length album "Over the City Roof - Songs by David Löfberg" on the company Kakafon. The album was very well received in the press and has been played extensively on the radio. In 2016, Midnattsorkestern tried a collaboration for the first time when a string orchestra, Camerata Gothia, temporarily had to shoulder the role of the string quartet with a large ensemble as a result. This worked very well and is something we would like to do again with more ensembles of different kinds, amateur or professional.

Search Add 3 Farmington Hill Farmington Hill brings you country-fried indie rock from Southwest Colorado. Paul “Bubba” Iudice (acoustic guitar) and Erik Nordstrom (telecaster) have been collaborating since 2006, dusting off some old songs while creating new music about drinking, driving, friends that have passed away, love, heartbreak, the good life, and the not-so-good life. Kelly Rogers adds lap-steel to the mix. Jim Belcher lays down the bass, and David Sachs provides tasty drum licks. Jim and Dave have been part of the Durango music scene for quite some time, and we are honored that they joined the band in the spring of 2019. This is music suitable for both a raucous Saturday night and the accompanying Sunday hangover.

Search Add 3 Zombies Loves Videogames Matt Gallagher & Julie Rutherford Zombies Loves Videogames was a Chiptune/Emo project based in Port Macquarie, Australia. Founded in 2007 originally by Matt Gallagher and Owen Guttormsen, Matt and Owen created the band as a hobby rather than something serious and released the first EP in 2009 Where would be the only release where Owen would be present since at the end of that year he died from a car accident. After months, Matt decides to recruit Julie Rutherford (A friend who met her on Myspace) and for the following year, they decided to release the first full-length album. The duo released a total of: 2 albums (Pretty Bits Machine and The Living Sprites), 3 EPs (Self Titled, Penguins And Nintendo Games!! and Konami Code) and 1 live-album (Thx U Sm, UK <3) and 1 compilation (Untitled), The project lasted from 2007 to 2014 when Matt and Julie decided to leave the band because they wanted to pursue other projects not related to ZLV. And it wasn't until 2021 that they returned to work on the project and would create new songs again, although so far they haven't released anything yet. •Members• Matt Galmagher (vox, screams, programming) - 2007-present Julie Rutherford (backup vox, keyboard) - 2009-present •Former Members• Owen Guttormsen (keyboard, programming)[deceased] - 2007-2009

Search Add 3 Adwoa Hackman Adwoa Hackman, born 22 July 1974 in Munich (Germany), is a singer, songwriter and music producer based in London. She experiments between the sounds of Soul music and alternative RnB, with a passion for tribal percussive elements mainly from West Africa and India. In her newest works, Hackman uses songwriting as a window to reflect on her own personal experiences. Her lyrics are driven by the intention of personal healing and growth, and helping others on their own journey. Hackman also plays guitar, bass and drums, always driven by the desire to express herself in the music from all angles. Adwoa has lived in Berlin for 15 years. She has performed in numerous clubs and festivals and gathered an ever-growing community of supporters. She released two albums, [m=2148235] (Deep As The Ocean, 2011) and [r=18926809] (Exile, 2015), which she received widespread praise by the press and the public. Search Add 3 Magenta Vice Synthwave duo from Minneapolis Mn USA. John W and Erik W approach synthwave as a band rather than as producers, focusing on live hardware instrumental performance and the freedom and spontaneity that come from working outside the world of DAW-based production. A mixture of both vintage and current gear bring a wide variety of sounds to the table, and a healthy mix of humanity and machine. Heavily influenced by Italo disco, old school electro, and Hi NRG (Patrick Cowley, Giorgio Moroder, Paul Hardcastle, Newcleus, Egyptian Lover) but also balanced and informed by the spacey sounds of '70s German kosmische musik and early New Age (Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Michel Genest et al), Magenta Vice offer a wide range of moods and BPM’s with a sound that tries to blend past and present in their own way.

Search Add 3 Aisha Eisa Aisha Eisa, alias AE, is a singer, record producer, actress, dancer and visual artist. This enterprising artist recently signed with the Vienna indie label, Urban Legends Records, which specializes in soul, hip hop and electronic music. Her in-house produced debut album Starchild was released on July 18, 2015. AE was responsible for everything for this album: from the composition of the songs including texts and vocals to the visual design and video production. In addition to an in-depth study acting at the Bruckner University in Linz, the young artist took lessons in singing, public speaking, music theory, piano and guitar. After that, she completed a three-year dance training, resulting in engagements at the Landestheater in Linz and Berlin. She later immersed herself in the independent film sector. AE produced her first artistic videos and short films. At the age of 19, AE moved to Vienna to study theater and musicals. In addition to her acting work in various theater projects, she had already dedicated herself in full to music. She studied classical singing and began to compose her own songs. During this time, AE met and began cooperation with the cooperation with the brilliant music producer, Wolfgang Schlögl alias I-Wolf, the founding member of the Sofa Surfers. Through this cooperation, AE also meets fellow singer and label owner, Nomadee. As I-Wolf & The Chain Reactions together with AE release two albums on the successful indie label, Seayou Records and playing numerous gigs at home and abroad., AE continues to work in parallel on her own album, working with various musicians such as Tosca, Lee Scratch Perry or Markus Kienzl. AE worked in cooperation with numerous musicians over a period of three years to fine tune the subtleties of the album. The musical spectrum ranges from breakbeats, soul and jazz elements to classical instruments such as piano, violin and harp and includes beatbox.

Search Add 3 Funkyard Warriors Raul R., Roman Zaragoza Funkyard Warriors began producing music in 1998 out of the San Fernando Valley, Southern California, USA. They first started as a duo with djelert1 and Roman Zaragoza collaborating a more eclectic funky but a bit dark kinda styles of breakbeat/early 90's hardcore break styles. Finding loopholes whenever possible to work in old school hip hop beats and vocal samples, all the while creating their own personalized electronic sound. Unfortunately Roman Zaragoza left the duo in early 2001. However djelert1, aka elertfunk, aka dj elert, will remain as sole survivor of the Funkyard Warriors, with new and also some revised work of some older unreleased material. So keep a lookout for new Funkyard Warriors material to be released later this year and also listen to resident "dj elert" on ustream.tv/channel/redlab-radio on certain friday nights from 7:30pm-1:00am PST.

Search Add 3 Gerakan Pramuka Pramuka Gerakan Pramuka Indonesia (Indonesian Pramuka Movement) is the national scouting organization of Indonesia. Scouting was founded in the Dutch East Indies in 1912, and Indonesia became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) in 1953. Its membership is compulsory for students.[1] It has 21,599,748 members (as of 2011),[2] making it the world's largest Scout association. Each year 14 August is celebrated as Pramuka Day to honour the organisation's first public parade in 1961, wherein independence hero Sultan Hamengkubuwono IX of Yogyakarta was appointed as the first Chief Scout of the GPI. With the 2013 education curriculum in effect, it is compulsory for all Indonesian students to join the scout movement as scouting is officially one of the study units in the curriculum. This contributes to the movement's recognition as the world's largest. The name Pramuka was derived from the acronym of "Praja muda karana", (Sanskrit: young people willing to work). The Pramuka word in Indonesia is currently often used as a term for scouting.

This lasted till late 1995 / early 1996. Majoring in English, he graduated in 1998. He was the only person from the band to be featured in the 1998 yearbook. He is the same Quentin Rowan (pseudonym Q.R. Markham) who plagiarized many famous works for his own benefit, even landing him an entry in Best American Poetry in 1996 (aged 19). This he took as his sign to become a writer; he wrote a few novels which were slightly popular. But the plagiarism was caught and he was disgraced. He published his memoir Never Say Goodbye in 2012; Flex Lavender is mentioned on page 104.

Search Add 3 Dirty Lips Dirty Lips was founded in 1989 in Hamburg, Germany by D.D. (Bass), Frank (Guitars & Vocals), Roger (Drums) and Thomy (Leadguitars). The four immediatly started touring in 1990 and gathering quite a following. D.D, Frank, Roger & Thomy won a contest in 1991 to record an early demo of three songs, which ended up on the 1993-album "Nothing's Better Than Your ...". They spent almost 8 weeks recording and engineering their first CD at Crossroads studio. After parting with guitar-player Thomy (he quit because of personal reasons), the band released a CD-single "Won't Cry" in 1998 as a three-piece. From 2000-2001 D.D., Frank and Roger played a few shows with guitarrist "Wenzel", then put the band on a hiatus until 2005 when they rejoined with original lead-guitar-player Thomy. The four of them started recording the follow-up-album "From Nothing To Now" in 2007, parting ways with Thomy again. He recorded five songs with the band and was not able to finish the whole CD. He was replaced by Roger younger brother Marco, who played on the remaining songs. "From Nothing To Now" was produced by Frank Haas and engineered and mixed by Markus Utke. It was released on their own label "Dirty Lips Records" on June 1st of 2012. D.D., Frank, Marco and Roger recorded a musicvideo for their single "Losing My Mind" starring German Porn Star "Sweet Sophie" in the end of the year. The band was saddened by the news that Thomy died in November 2012. RIP.
