Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Міко | Михайло Ковальчук | Mykhaylo Kovalchuk was a Ukrainian virtuoso classical guitarist (1963–2002). His only released albums, the cassette "Hidden by the Curtain" and the CD "Міко" featured his Flamenco guitar and Latin jazz compositions. Mykhaylo Kovalchuk was born in Lvlv (Ukraine) on 3 July 1963. His father was born on the border between France and Spain, which is where Mykhaylo got his first influences from Latin forms of music. His first involvement with music began as a child studying violin. Mykhaylo didn't like the instrument and gave it up for playing the guitar. He was a self taught player and after seeing a concert of Paco de Lucia decided that the style of Flamenco was the direction he would take. His understanding and knowledge of Flamenco came strictly from listening to popular flamenco artists works since guitar teachers and other player in that style of music didn't exist in the country. His early performances were with Ukrainian bands playing progressive rock and Latin jazz but it wasn't fulfilling, so he broke into a solo career concentrating on original compositions. His performances took him to concerts and festivals all over Eastern Europe Mykhaylo's first recordings "Hidden by the Curtain" on cassette was released in 1997 while he was touring in Prague. In the following year he had sold 7000 cassette tapes. After his return to Ukraine, Kyv's national TV studio produced a music video called "Wind under the sea" which was aired on all Ukrainian and Prague stations for 3 months. In Ukraine Mykhaylo was the only acoustic guitarist that wrote and performed music in this style. He spent approximately 6 months playing a duet with a flamingo dancer in a Latin club. Mikhailo also established his respect in front of other international guitarists by being a prizewinner of numerous festivals all over Europe. In 1998 Mykhaylo had moved to Prague where he concentrated on writing new compositions and performing locally. He lived in Prague for 2 years and during those years Prague records were considering signing Mykhaylo to a record deal and as a result he recorded material for two new CDs. Due to unfortunate circumstances Mikhailo developed problems with his right hand after being attacked just before a festival and had to return home to Lviv where his hand was operated on three times. For 2 years Mykhaylo could not play his instrument falling into a deep depression which led him to drinking. He started playing once more, playing at smaller venues, building up his hand to be able to perform for larger audiences in larger venues. Unfortunately Mykhaylo Kovalchuk never reached these goals and he died on 12 November 2002. Mikhailo Kovalchuk once said: "This burning style full of fire and eruption is mine. It can also be melancholic, yet wildly lyrical. A fusion of psychological and flamenco entwined in thoughts, jazz and silence — though within the silence there is still such boldness". |

Search | Add | 2 | Steaming Feces | Originally formed as a grind/punk/noise band by drummer Pat Munn, guitarist Terry Hanchin and bassist Jamie Walters as Steaming Feces in 1987. Jamie left after their two demos and formed Technical/Experimental Brutal Death Metal band [a=Procreation (7)], and Terry Hanchin came with him, being in Procreation and Steaming Feces at the same time. However, in early 1989, after playing on Procreation's first demo, Terry left the band. At this point Steaming Feces had begun taking their music more seriously, and brought in vocalist Scott Baldino and bassist Dean Eschleman. At the same time they also changed their name to [a=Blatant Disregard (2)] and developed their own fast, technical, thrash/punk crossover style. Blatant Disregard released two demos and existed into 1991. Later in 1991 Walters/Gibbs' Procreation and Hanchin/Munn's Blatant Disregard combined lineups and formed the new band [a=Boulder], in a different and distinct genre mixture unlike either of its predecessors.

This experiment sounds very differently from the other projects, since it uses a lot of synth sounds which give a sci-fi taste to the tracks, together with, of course, the pertaining titles. Music is made instrumental but contains some transformed (alienated) vocal samples from real talking girls and some sci-fi old movies. The synth is played live and not programmed and drums are used only on some tracks. Sometimes the soundscapes are a little similar to Immortal Agony but tracks are very different one from each other, so there is a lot of variety. Imagine a genre which you can call Space Death Industrial, but which in some moments blends into Space Ambient and in others transforms into weird Noise collages.

Search | Add | 2 | DJ Morus | Guilherme de Moraes Bittar | Guilherme Bittar (DJ Morus), one of the biggest spots of the darkpsy brazilian scene, born in Anápolis-GO, had his first contact with electronic music at the age of 12 while listening to bands as Kraftwerk, Kon Kan, New Order, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys and Information Society, who built his first understandings about electronic music. As he continued researching about the genre, he got to discover some other producers and bands such as Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Air, Orbital, Underworld, Daft Punk, Armand Van Helden as well as many other techno and house artists who also have had a big influence over his musical taste. By the year of 1997 he jumped into psytrance and in early 2002 his DJ career gets started, when he performs for the first time, showing from then on a lot of technique and feeling in his sets, always trying to establish through the music a straight connection to the dancefloor. He has already played alongside some of the biggest psytrance artists in Brazil and in the world, such as in big brazilian festivals like Festival Fora do Tempo, Liquid Sky, Earthdance and Universo Paralello and great parties all over the country. He's part of many psytrance labels's cast such as Vertigo Records, Dead Tree Productions, Helicon Sound System and Innersound Records, through which he's compiled a night music directed cd. In early 2007 he started to explore other styles by making also sets directed to minimal techno and tech-house. He is also co-founder (with his friend Kashyyyk) and DJ of Kamino Records, a hitek paytrance label based in Mexico. |

Search | Add | 2 | Lions Quartette Of Seattle | The Enchanters were founded as the Seattle Lions Club Quartette, presumably in the mid 1920s. Its members were Marshall Sohl (first tenor), Elmore Bostwick (second tenor), Rudolph Allen (first bass), and Cecil Remington (second base). The group performed at Lions Club functions, at venues throughout Washington state, and toured in California. In 1928, the quartet recorded "Deep River" and "Moanin' Lady" for the Columbia Record Company, becoming the first Lions Club quartet to be recorded professionally. By 1929, the group had changed its name to the Enchanters. The quartet performed regularly on radio station KJR in Seattle, Washington and developed a following of fans who enjoyed their old time Southern repertoire of spirituals and minstrel songs. Other broadcasters carried the Enchanters Quartet's programs, enabling listeners throughout the Pacific Northwest, Western Canada, and beyond to hear their music.

Search | Add | 2 | Rhalef | Raffaele Fontanella | House / Techno DJ producer based in Napoli, Italy Raffaele Fontanella aka Rhalef, was born in Castellammare di Stabia (Naples) on 05/06/1986. His passion for music started at the age of 10, when he listened to his first remixed dance Cds. With the time and thanks to a group of friends closer to House music, his musical influences changed. Later in his life his musical evolution led him to the world of electronic music and then to techno. The latter was the crucial moment in his musical career; at the age of 20 he was fascinated by this music and his environment. When he was 24 he started travelling to most European Capitals and fell in love with the different clubs he went to during his trips. He soon realized that techno music was something really special to him which he never left, even when he was interested in Pop and Rock music. Music has always been part of his life, something he couldn‘t live without, at home, driving his car, while walking around the city, in bed, with his headphones on, and this is how he understood its sounds. With the time and experience he acquired following the world of techno music he felt these were the sounds that were close to him, that’s when he decided to start his own music production. He was obsessed, in his free time he listened and bought all the latest tracks to make his own mixes which he played for his friends and family. After spending many years following music in clubs and in his everyday life, he felt that it was time to start his own music production. That’s when he bought a producer equipment and created 2 tracks. His first EP “Never Too Late” was released in June 2014. When his dream came true, he was so enthusiastic that dedicated more time to music ( this time his own ). This is when started his career as producer which he continues today, producing new sounds. His musical influences: Rino Cerrone, Markantonio, Roberto Capuano, Luigi Madonna, Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Christian Smith, Alex Di Stefano, Joseph Capriati and many others… Contact: rhalef.official@gmail.com |
