Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 11 | Pedro G. Marques | Pedro G. Marques started to show a deep interest in music since his early youth and began tooking piano lessons at the age of 8. Later, he joined the Vila Real Music Academy and, afterwards, the Porto Jazz School. In his teens, Pedro was a huge Metal fan but soon his horizons became wider, embracing almost every genre: Post-Punk to Easy Listening; Electronica to Jazz; Classical to Industrial. In 1990, Huska (a.k.a. Hüska Burra Mamô), a Goth/Punk/Alternative band from Vila Real, were formed. Pedro was the lead singer of Huska and the group disbanded around 1996. In 2003, he started to think about starting a solo music project and Dead by Request was born. In its beginnings, Dead by Request's music was deeply influenced by some well-known ambient/experimental icons such as Coil, Legendary Pink Dots, Klaus Schulze or Pete Namlook, but after a while its sound gained a lot more of a synthpop/electro-rock feeling, much in the vein of bands like Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, Clan of Xymox or Lou Champagne System. After composing several soundtracks for visual/photographic installations as Dead by Request, Marques formed If I Die in 2015. If I Die released four singles during 2015, but the project ended that same year. Pedro G. Marques is now making music under the name of Songs From Hidden Places.

Search | Add | 11 | John Mancini Band | John started writing songs on a cross-country road trip he took after graduating from Rhode Island School of Design. He began performing regularly when he moved to Southern Mississippi in 2004. Returning to his hometown of Baltimore, MD, in 2007, he started JMB, recorded two full-length award-winning albums and toured the Mid-Atlantic from NY to VA until 2012. In 2013, John moved to California to pursue an MFA in Creative Writing. He recently settled in the Bay Area where he recorded Halfway Home, his second EP of 2015. He then formed the newgrass group, Broken Barrels and released their debut album, A Little off the Top, in 2016. Seeking a balance of melody, groove and message, John has published more than forty songs since his 2009 debut, which was praised by Billboard, Relix, Glide, Big Takeover Magazine and others for its songwriting and musicianship. Honing a lyrical folk-rock aesthetic that has come to define his sound, John draws from an Americana tradition shared by artists like Ryan Adams, Tom Petty, Gram Parsons, John Fogerty and Dr. John. His songs have played on non-com radio stations across the country and in Europe. They have also appeared on film and TV in the U.S. and abroad and received praise from top music blogs. Search | Add | 11 | Len Maxwell | Lenny Maxwell | American comedian, voice actor and announcer. Born: August 8, 1930 in Inglewood, California. Died: May 13, 2008 in Los Angeles, California. Stand-up comedian on his early career, he appeared on The Tonight Show several times, a CBS special called, The Nut House and an NBC special called The Future Lies Ahead while also appearing in night clubs and theaters in Las Vegas, New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles with entertainers including Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Lena Horne, Ella Fitzgerald to name but a few. During this time, he dabbled in management, helping to launch Neil Sedaka's solo career.[1] At an engagement at New York's Copacabana, a producer for an advertising agency approached Len and asked him if he would be willing to do some of the voices in his act on a series of commercials. Len agreed. Two weeks later, when he received a check for the few hours of what was an easy and enjoyable experience, Len was shocked at the large amount of the check. He called the advertising agency, saying there had to be some mistake. They said they would look into it. Two days later, a representative of the agency called back and apologized for the error and said they would send Len the rest. It was at that moment that Len decided to make voice-overs his career. During Len's career in voice-overs, he recorded over 25,000 commercials, including the voice for "Punchy" the iconic Hawaiian Punch mascot - plus dozens of animated cartoons, and voice-overs in motion pictures. Len won the advertising industry's coveted CLIO award for best voice-over actor/announcer. He co-wrote and co-produced the short animated film The Crunch Bird in which he did all five voices. The film won the Academy Award for best animated short. He also directed the sound track for the film. He also provided several voices for the 1970 Christmas animated special, The Night the Animals Talked. He supplied the voices of Karate and The Chief in the children's cartoon series Batfink, and the judge in the animated feature Hugo the Hippo. Len wrote some comedy with Woody Allen. He appeared with Allen on screen in Allen ’s What's Up Tiger Lily, and did the voices of most of the main characters in that film. Voice-overs in Allen’s Take the Money and Run and Sleeper followed. He and Allen remained friends until his death. He was also the voice of the color analyst Nick Diamond in the MTV animated series Celebrity Deathmatch from 1998-2002. He was credited in most episodes as Barry Manos. In 1964, Maxwell released the Christmas/Monster-themed LP, "A Merry Monster Christmas". This album entertained families for decades with its head-on collision of classic movie monsters with traditional Christmas observances. The album became difficult to find until Maxwell updated and re-released it on CD in 2005. |
Search | Add | 11 | Тибетски Сърца | Tibetan hearts are influential Bulgarian electronic music group, which according to some initiated the beginning of electronic music in Bulgaria. The musical group was established in 1991 in Sofia having five members, influenced by new wave style. Later on they elaborated their proper electronic dance music style that would become later known as Tech-Trance, characteristic mostly for the Bulgarian early electronic movement. A year later in 1992, brass-section joined the band and they started experimenting within the music style fusion. In 1993, two of the members - Peter Dundakov and Nikolay Madjarov, aka Faicheto decided to concentrate their creative efforts on electronic music but didn’t change the name of the formation – Tibetski Sartsa. They started working as sound engineers in the Gencho Stoev recording studio and shortly afterwards their first single was produced. It was called after the name of the formation, Tibetski Sartsa, and consisted of three compositions with total time 25 min: `The Age of Tea`, `Hearts of Tibet` and `Twist-a-Polka`. Very soon afterwards `Twist-a-polka` was filmed in a video. The release of the debut single was noticed by the specialized media and the duo was nominated for the Annual Music Awards of Rhythm magazine in four categories - Debut of the year, Single of the year, Video and Producer of the year. In the period 1994 -1998, Tibetski Sartsa were focused on their studio work, thus establishing themselves as one of the best studio teams in Bulgaria. Under the mark `Made by Tibetski Sartsa` appeared theatrical music, the soundtrack for the ballet show `Faust` and many others. 1997 was marked with the appearing of the name Tibetski Sartsa on the Bulgarian dance stage. They created a large number of songs for famous Bulgarian artists, such were the music for Marius' album Love War, remixes of Irina Florin's songs, the sound finish of Avenue's album Labyrinth, etc. In mid-1998, Tibetski Sartsa started working on their debut album `PsychoKinetic` which was released on May 29, 1999. The specialized media acclaimed the album with great positive reviews and Rhythm music magazine put Tibetski Sartsa on the cover of their June issue. `PsychoKinetik` was called the `Bulgarian techno sensation of the year`. It has been sold in more than 6000 copies so far. The participation of Tibetski Sartsa alongside with international techno stars like Josh Wink, Sven Vath, Takyu Ishino etc., in the Metropolis techno parties, brought them popularity abroad. Additional proof for their musical talent was a participation in a techno parade in Paris. It took place in autumn of 1999. As a consequence Tibetski Sartsa received international recognition. The duet faced up the new Millennium with compilation of compositions, they have made since 1991. `91:01` was a retrospective project of Tibetski Sartsa and showed the progress of the electronic music in Bulgaria during the decade, including experimental pieces such as their first single, the theatrical and ballet soundtracks. `91:01` was manufactured in only 500 copies with unique design - hand-made booklet, a real collector's provocation. The album was released for distributing only through the AveNew Productions' site.

Search | Add | 11 | Anastasi Mavrides | Anastasi Mavrides | American musician, composer and pianist, born in Pennsylvania, United States. Composer and producer Anastasi (ah nah STAH zee) knew at an early age that his love of music would play an important role in his life. After years of learning to play a variety of instruments, he went on to study music and eastern philosophy in college. It was during this time that he began to experiment with music and sounds that might be conducive to relaxation and concentration. To support himself, he played in several rock and jazz bands and in 1978 he was back-up guitarist for the Beach Boys on their “Almost Summer Tour.” Later, he and Donna O’Sullivan formed a production company called Metromusic in Mill Valley, California, which went on to produce award-winning music for commercials and film. He also created The Classical Child Series, which is a whimsical reinterpretation of traditional classical melodies. He originally came up with the idea as a way to expose his newborn daughter to the world of classical music. The Nature’s Classics Series Anastasi recorded for Real Music is a collection of popular classical pieces creatively combined with sounds of nature. They include Country Morning, Country Evening, and The Pachelbel Canon with Ocean Sounds. The latter, having sold over 300,000 copies, proved to be one of Real Music’s hottest selling titles. On The Pachelbel Canon with Ocean Sounds, Anastasi took the timeless charm of this world class piece and developed an arrangement which expands on its already meditative and inspirational qualities. The simple, yet compelling “Canon in D” melody is coupled with gentle ocean waves which unfold throughout this instrumental poetry, conjuring up vivid imagery of a distant shore. On CinemOcean, Anastasi has taken ten of the most beautiful movie themes (from composers as diverse as Vangelis, John Barry, Ennio Morricone and Ryuichi Sakamoto) and masterfully arranged them into a poignant musical tapestry. Enhanced by the rhythmic caress of ocean waves, this album creates an ideal environment for quiet thought, reflection, meditation and encouraging the magic of one's own imagination. As Anastasi says of this work, “It's evident that music can have a powerful influence on the human spirit, so what I've tried to achieve with The Pachelbel Canon and CinemOcean is a soothing pocket of relaxation and beauty that can uplift anyone who listens and inspire them to their highest potential.” |

These records made everybody money but him and he felt a little bitter that he never got his due moneywise or publicity wise because Kae didn't own the publishing copyright. At the time this type of thing happened to a lot of the black artists, promoters and producers in those early, pre-civil rights days of rock. |

Search | Add | 11 | Ryder Houston | Ryder Harrison Houston | Ryder Harrison Houston is a Philadelphia-based filmmaker and musician born and bred just outside of Dallas, Texas. At age 19, he premiered his debut feature film ‘Rapture in Blue,’ a noir-ish ode to the overwhelming gothic zeitgeist that permeated the edge of the new millennium. Included on the eponymous soundtrack composed by himself is the haunting theme ‘Wine (A Sea Of Future)’ performed by frequent collaborator and songstress Ariana Kelly. Little did they know, it was this very release which would catalyze the future of Houston's musical endeavors. As much as his evocative sound dotes on alternative pop acts Depeche Mode, Garbage, and even Madonna at her most controversial, it also seems to suggest something greater operating on the periphery: a dark, omnipresent melodrama not unlike the crooning music of David Lynch composer Angelo Badalamenti or the baroque sensibilities of Lana Del Rey. Nevertheless, Houston’s spidery vocals continue to weave clichés of lust and rock ‘n’ roll menace anew, adhering himself to a certain groovy allusion to sleazy, opium-den electronica. Plainly, it is within this blasphemous little slipstream that Ryder Houston’s unique brand of sonic nostalgia exists — a sullen musical seduction echoing back from a liminal moment in time where downtempo music and freeze-dried hip-hop beats managed to infiltrate every hot artist’s discography, mutating genre ties and birthing something wholly itself. |

Majkol Jay starts as a resident DJ in the La Canniccia Club of Versilia and later in the best clubs in Tuscany, where he meets several important DJ producers who have incentivized him in the creation of his musical projects, coming to produce in 2006 his first single entitled "Welcome in My Head" produced for Chameleon Records, a label with which artists like Alex Neri have collaborated. The track is supported by various DJ producers, and in particular inserted in the live sets of the Djs of Diabolika Events, and live on M2O radio with the Dj Emanuele Inglese. Following his experience with various labels, Majkol obtains an important collaboration with the historic record label OceanTrax Records and with the DJ Producer Gianni Bini. Thus the success comes with the singles "Free Download" and "Without You", where the latter in a few days from the release reaches the first place in the House ranking, in one of the most important online sales portals and becomes part of the Top Tracks of 2015, obtaining important supports in particular from Dj Mark Knight, David Penn, Jay Vegas, Bronx Cheer and many others. Majkol has had important collaborations in recent years such as with the singers Sara Grimaldi, Loredana Majuri, Liz Hill, EleNoire and Andrea Love, making successful singles and therefore entering the international music scene, distinguishing himself for his eclectic and energetic sound, preferring a refined groove and the creation of harmonies and melodies that draw inspiration from the greatest pioneers of electronic music, House, Funk and Disco from the 70s, thus giving life to unique and magnetic sounds. |

Painted by a brilliant cascade of vibrant colors and raw emotion, Dustin uses a form of alchemy to transmute deep, relatable feelings and experiences into the medium of music. Fusing stylistic elements of both punk-rock and hip-hop, Dustin started making music in an effort to escape the realities of growing up “different” in small-town Minnesota. Generally secluded from others, he developed a variety of skills & talents, most notably playing the electric guitar. Around age 17 he started to experiment with singing and writing his own songs, mainly about the pains and heartaches of growing up. In March 2018 he released his debut EP titled Dream Trauma. Since then, Dustin has been making music under the artist name Drawn To The Sky, reflecting his endless ambition to reach the highest level of personal growth and human consciousness.

He was then introduced to Joe Delpit and Reginal Brown to sing along with their show and dance band "The 13th Amendments. It didn't take long before Tunnie was a full member of the band and became a featured singer performing throughout Louisiana. After a year and a half of performing at nightclubs, military bases and universities Tunnie landed a record deal with Rick Hall's Fame/UA record label. His first single from 1973 was a mid-tempo number entitled "Finders Aren't Always Keepers" flipped with "Do That To Me" It gained National distribution and had some good success. Tunnie left Fame records and was introduced to Stax record executives Al Bell and John Smith. After signing with Stax Tunnie met legendary writer and performer David Porter where they recorded an album which was scheduled for release around 1973/74. Unfortunately Stax's association with CBS came to a halt and the project got shelved. Tunnie went home and carried on performing around the Louisiana area with his new band Sweet Music Orchestra"

One life-long chain of memorable events, dear people, precious moments, coldness and comfort. Author defines the music of the project as "archaic, devoted to the purity of Life, the union of masculinity and womankind, development and bloom, truth of every moment". Everything is imrovised and intiuitive, none of the members prepares for recording sessions. Stylistically music leans to raw and acoustic Folk - Psychedelic - Post-rock sounds. Members of the project describe it as "free from tags and socially independent musings without repetitions and directions". Child-like explorations of the world. |

Search | Add | 11 | Alex Eisenring | Alex Roger Eisenring Castro | Mexican musician, composer, audio engineer and record producer. A pioneer in rock, prog rock, avant-garde, techno, electronic, soundtrack, and experimental music in Mexico. He started playing covers with a band called [i]La Marioneta Eléctrica[/i] which then in 1973 became a trio, [a7547606], influenced by free jazz, progressive rock and experimental music, with [a7547605] (drums), [a7547627] (bass) and Alex Eisenring (piano, guitar) as the founding members. The band had many different line-ups and instruments, even having up to 13 musicians at the same time. Alex was eager to adopt an electronic style for the band however his partners disagreed, that's why in the same night of 1981, [i]Queso Sagrado[/i] was being dissolved giving its last live show while [a1109492] was being formed by him along with [a4325278] and [a4325277], performing its first live show. Allegedly [m1577327] was the first techno music ever made in Mexico. Around this time, by seeing the inaction of major labels around indie Mexican rock projects, Alex felt motivated to intervene more as a producer to help promoting the underground music scene, that's how he started out some collaborations with [a595604], [a3739126], [a2323291], [a4568664], [a3738097] and [a204112], among others. Due to this lack of economic support, there was a multidisciplinary collaboration of different artists with their different projects not only with music, for example many musicians did also design, production, illustration, photography or typography for other colleague bands and artists, making very interesting concepts of musical styles and influences, art, culture and multimedia. In 1985, upon the disbandment of [i]Syntoma[/i], he also began to learn computer programming and building, mainly as a job, but with the aim of having a high-tech recording studio of his own and as a perhaps cheaper way to obtain a [i]Synclavier[/i] or a [i]Fairlight CMI[/i]: homemade. He began then to work as an engineer out of necessity, as there were no engineers specialized in experimental and electronic styles. In 1992 the first digital recording (with no tapes) in Mexico was being made in his home studio by his project [a4352070], co-founded by Alex with [a2185680] and [a724995]. In 2010, after being around twenty years inactive, just working in 3D animation, video editing and graphic design, he was invited by [a896838] and [a1272488] to collaborate with [a204112]. By 2012 they were performing for [a2608026] short films live projections as well as other silent short films from surreal cinema movement. In his most recent projects he co-founded, with [a233176] after his return to Mexico from being in NYC around thirty years, [a963983] and [a5658993]. |

Search | Add | 11 | Cash Money Brothas | Cash Money Brothas were a duo out of East Chicago who consisted of "Ponyboy" and "Kaoss". They started making mixtapes in their home when they were in their early 20's. Their "CMB Hip-Hop Megamix" tape series spanned 12 volumes in all and became quite popular in Gary, IN and Chicago, IL where you could find them being sold at local record stores that specialized in dance and hip-hop music. Sometimes they would sell the tapes themselves to fans for only $5 a pop. These tapes stood out at the time as they would use vinyl records to mix the songs, beats and rhythms and then add the finishing touches using sound tools on a Macintosh computer. "The mix itself takes three days to be perfected" said Ponyboy in a 1993 interview. These tapes are now quite rare and sought after by tape collectors. Around the same time the duo was also involved in production duties for the Livin Large Records label out of Chicago. Although there were only a total of 8 releases in all, many of these cuts would make their way to the clubs and House music mixtape circuit. Some were prominently featured by Chicago DJ Bad Boy Bill on his "Hot Mix" tape series. After spending most of the 90's releasing underground mixtapes, Ponyboy eventually became the frontman of the hip-hop trio, "Los Marijuanos", in 1999.
