Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 11 | John Mancini | John started writing songs on a cross-country road trip he took after graduating from Rhode Island School of Design. He began performing regularly when he moved to Southern Mississippi in 2004. Returning to his hometown of Baltimore, MD, in 2007, he started JMB, recorded two full-length award-winning albums and toured the Mid-Atlantic from NY to VA until 2012. In 2013, John moved to California to pursue an MFA in Creative Writing. He recently settled in the Bay Area where he recorded Halfway Home, his second EP of 2015. He then formed the newgrass group, Broken Barrels and released their debut album, A Little off the Top, in 2016. Seeking a balance of melody, groove and message, John has published more than forty songs since his 2009 debut, which was praised by Billboard, Relix, Glide, Big Takeover Magazine and others for its songwriting and musicianship. Honing a lyrical folk-rock aesthetic that has come to define his sound, John draws from an Americana tradition shared by artists like Ryan Adams, Tom Petty, Gram Parsons, John Fogerty and Dr. John. His songs have played on non-com radio stations across the country and in Europe. They have also appeared on film and TV in the U.S. and abroad and received praise from top music blogs. | |

| Search | Add | 11 | Cash Money Brothas | Cash Money Brothas were a duo out of East Chicago who consisted of "Ponyboy" and "Kaoss". They started making mixtapes in their home when they were in their early 20's. Their "CMB Hip-Hop Megamix" tape series spanned 12 volumes in all and became quite popular in Gary, IN and Chicago, IL where you could find them being sold at local record stores that specialized in dance and hip-hop music. Sometimes they would sell the tapes themselves to fans for only $5 a pop. These tapes stood out at the time as they would use vinyl records to mix the songs, beats and rhythms and then add the finishing touches using sound tools on a Macintosh computer. "The mix itself takes three days to be perfected" said Ponyboy in a 1993 interview. These tapes are now quite rare and sought after by tape collectors. Around the same time the duo was also involved in production duties for the Livin Large Records label out of Chicago. Although there were only a total of 8 releases in all, many of these cuts would make their way to the clubs and House music mixtape circuit. Some were prominently featured by Chicago DJ Bad Boy Bill on his "Hot Mix" tape series. After spending most of the 90's releasing underground mixtapes, Ponyboy eventually became the frontman of the hip-hop trio, "Los Marijuanos", in 1999. | |

| Search | Add | 11 | شهرزاد | شفيقة محمد السيد (Shafīqa Muḥammad al-Sayyid) | Shahrazad was an Egyptian singer and actress born in El Helmiya, a neighborhood of Cairo, on the 8th of January 1928. At a very young age she took part in various films and played a role in the operetta "Al’ashara al Tayyiba" written by Muhammad Taymur and set to music by Sayyed Darwish, a metaphorical work on the domination of the Mammelucks in Egypt. She got her first hit with the song "Awal ma jayt fy al mi'ad", composed by Riad Al Sunbati and played on national radio in 1952. Active during the golden age of Egyptian music, she was shown respect by cult figures like Mohamed Abdel Wahab and Umm Khultum, who said: "Shahrazad is the only singer besides me who can be on stage singing for hours". Collaborated with the best Egyptian composers including: Kamal Al Taweel, Baligh Hamdy, Mohamed El Mougy and Sayed Mekawy. In the early 1960s she began performing monthly concerts in the theaters of El Gomhouriaand Azbakeya consolidating her fame. Although much loved at her home country, Shahrazad is almost unknown to the Western public. Her fame has often been obscured by singers like Najat al Saghira and Umm Khultum. In 2007 the Egyptian Academy of Arts has honored Shahrazad for her exceptional contribution to the development of the fine arts. Shahrazad passed on April 6, 2013. Her niece, film director Heba Yousri, made a documentary on the life and career of the singer titled “ Stu Zad, Awal Ashq” in 2011. |

He was writing songs from the age of 10, which impressed [a46481]. In 1958, he was second in a contest organised by the National Association of Boys Clubs and he went on tour with [a305596]. A businessman, Woolfe Bednash, wanted to manage him and, as Bednash's favourite singer was [a27516], he renamed him Mal Perry. Perry recorded for the new Fontana label, owned by Philips, and his first single was a cover of the novelty song, "Lollipop". His big voice was put to better use with "Make Me A Miracle" and he appeared on ITV's Cool For Cats and BBC TV's 6.5 Special. [a298528] invited him to do a record signing in his NEMS shop in Liverpool, but Perry's road manager left the records in the back of a car and they melted in the sun. He was featured in a rock'n'roll show at Liverpool Stadium in 1960 and also in the stage show Wackers' Playtime with [a390808]. He was backed in the Liverpool clubs by the beat groups, Cass and the Cassanovas and the Remo Four and John Lennon asked him, without success, to record the songs he was starting to write with [a35301]. Although Perry recorded five singles including his own song, "The Girl Next Door" and had a residency at the Astor Club in London, he soon gave up the business. "My father wanted me to sing in the synagogue and my mother didn't like me being in London," he said 2007. "I didn't like it much myself. Back then, they thought you were a second class citizen if you came from Liverpool." Perry went into the family retail business and then opened his own clothing store. He often sold suits to the beat groups and he also sang in synagogue choirs. In later years, he did a variety of jobs but the urge to perform never left him. He sang media ads for Colorvision and Johnny Goggles. |

| Search | Add | 11 | The "JFK" Quintet | In early 1960, Cannonball Adderley discovered five musicians in Washington, D.C.—the J.F.K. Quintet, named in honor of the newly elected John F. Kennedy and his ambition to change the status quo nationwide for blacks and the arts. In July 1961, six months after the inauguration, Adderley brought the group to New York's Plaza Sound Studios and produced their first Riverside album. The J.F.K. Quintet was comprised of Ray Codrington (tp), Andrew White (as), Harry Killgo (p), Walter Booker, Jr. (b) and Carl "Mickey' Newman (d). The result was the J.F.K. Quintet: New Jazz Frontiers From Washington. A second album was recorded in December '61 entitled Young Ideas The band dissolved in 1963, with White moving on to become a primary transcriber of John Coltrane's solos, Codrington recorded with Eddie Harris, and Booker became Adderley's bassist. White, who's still on the scene today, played alto and tenor saxophones with incredible energy, plus electric bass with the Fifth Dimension and Stevie Wonder, and classical oboe (which he holds at the top of this post). Once a year in Washington, D.C., he would book two rhythm sections and play a 12-hour jazz quartet gig at a club called the Top O' Foolery. And Harry Killgo was the father of Keith Killgo, the drummer with Donald Byrd and the Blackbyrds. | |

| Search | Add | 11 | takahiro.fks | He is a Japanese electronic music artist who began working around 2022 with a foundation in Dariacore and Hyperflip. Exploring a wide range of styles, he develops a richly diverse musical expression. His sound carries a certain sense of melancholy, at times overflowing with destructive emotion, creating a uniquely evocative atmosphere. Ranging from lyrical compositions to pieces charged with furious anger, his work is influenced by plunderphonics and sound collage, and is distinguished by refined sampling techniques. He drew major attention with the album Ten Nights' Dreams, released on Lost Frog Productions, a label well-known in the breakcore and experimental scenes. The album employs dense, chaotic sampling rooted in Dariacore and Mashcore, resulting in a work that is energetic and passionate while also infused with sentiment and bittersweetness. It played a significant role in fueling the rise of Dariacore and Hyperflip’s popularity in Japan. His music clearly reflects the influence of Dariacore artists such as Leroy, yet he digests these inspirations and elevates them into his own distinctive form of expression. In a genre where many artists tend to be short-lived, he continues to produce actively, constantly seeking new possibilities and pushing beyond the boundaries of genre. | |

It didn't take long before Tunnie was a full member of the band and became a featured singer performing throughout Louisiana. After a year and a half of performing at nightclubs, military bases and universities Tunnie landed a record deal with Rick Hall's Fame/UA record label. His first single from 1973 was a mid-tempo number entitled "Finders Aren't Always Keepers" flipped with "Do That To Me" It gained National distribution and had some good success. Tunnie left Fame records and was introduced to Stax record executives Al Bell and John Smith. After signing with Stax Tunnie met legendary writer and performer David Porter where they recorded an album which was scheduled for release around 1973/74. | Search | Add | 11 | Alex Eisenring | Alex Roger Eisenring Castro | Mexican musician, composer, audio engineer and record producer. A pioneer in rock, prog rock, avant-garde, techno, electronic, soundtrack, and experimental music in Mexico. He started playing covers with a band called [i]La Marioneta Eléctrica[/i] which then in 1973 became a trio, [a7547606], influenced by free jazz, progressive rock and experimental music, with [a7547605] (drums), [a7547627] (bass) and Alex Eisenring (piano, guitar) as the founding members. The band had many different line-ups and instruments, even having up to 13 musicians at the same time. Alex was eager to adopt an electronic style for the band however his partners disagreed, that's why in the same night of 1981, [i]Queso Sagrado[/i] was being dissolved giving its last live show while [a1109492] was being formed by him along with [a4325278] and [a4325277], performing its first live show. Allegedly [m1577327] was the first techno music ever made in Mexico. Around this time, by seeing the inaction of major labels around indie Mexican rock projects, Alex felt motivated to intervene more as a producer to help promoting the underground music scene, that's how he started out some collaborations with [a595604], [a3739126], [a2323291], [a4568664], [a3738097] and [a204112], among others. Due to this lack of economic support, there was a multidisciplinary collaboration of different artists with their different projects not only with music, for example many musicians did also design, production, illustration, photography or typography for other colleague bands and artists, making very interesting concepts of musical styles and influences, art, culture and multimedia. In 1985, upon the disbandment of [i]Syntoma[/i], he also began to learn computer programming and building, mainly as a job, but with the aim of having a high-tech recording studio of his own and as a perhaps cheaper way to obtain a [i]Synclavier[/i] or a [i]Fairlight CMI[/i]: homemade. He began then to work as an engineer out of necessity, as there were no engineers specialized in experimental and electronic styles. In 1992 the first digital recording (with no tapes) in Mexico was being made in his home studio by his project [a4352070], co-founded by Alex with [a2185680] and [a724995]. In 2010, after being around twenty years inactive, just working in 3D animation, video editing and graphic design, he was invited by [a896838] and [a1272488] to collaborate with [a204112]. By 2012 they were performing for [a2608026] short films live projections as well as other silent short films from surreal cinema movement. In his most recent projects he co-founded, with [a233176] after his return to Mexico from being in NYC around thirty years, [a963983] and [a5658993]. |

| Search | Add | 11 | Orkater | Dutch theater company which originated from [a1346918]. The Orkater name is a combination of the Dutch words orkest and theater (orchestra and theatre). The company makes mostly contemporary music theatre, newly written and newly composed. Orkater cherishes the freedom with which performances are conceived, made and presented. The inevitable consequence is that no hard-and-fast policy can be followed when the repertoire is put together. In some Orkater productions, disciplines other than music theatre may have the upper hand. The location varies from a studio to a municipal theatre, from a museum to an outdoor summer festival. Although some would say that Orkater productions are always recognizable because of their "Orkater signature", they vary in character, scale and as to the cast. Orkater does not work with a regular group of performers - for many actors, musicians, directors, composers and text writers Orkater is the place where they can evolve their own ideas about music theatre. Orkater strives to present abroad those productions that are suitable for it, preferably in the language of the host country. Since the mother company [a1346918] (1972-1979) split to form De Horde (The Horde, 1981-84) and [a3939032] (The Mexican Hound, 1980 to present), there has always been confusion over the name. At the moment all productions are presented under the name Orkater, with the exception of those by writer/director Alex van Warmerdam, who operates under the name De Mexicaanse Hond. Orkater and De Mexicaanse Hond are grouped together under the umbrella of Stichting Orkater (The Orkater Foundation). Orkater has its own CD label ([l127050]). Over the years, Orkater productions have received critical acclaim from both public and press. Orkater has been honoured with numerous awards, national and international. | |

| Search | Add | 11 | Len Maxwell | Lenny Maxwell | American comedian, voice actor and announcer. Born: August 8, 1930 in Inglewood, California. Died: May 13, 2008 in Los Angeles, California. Stand-up comedian on his early career, he appeared on The Tonight Show several times, a CBS special called, The Nut House and an NBC special called The Future Lies Ahead while also appearing in night clubs and theaters in Las Vegas, New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles with entertainers including Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Lena Horne, Ella Fitzgerald to name but a few. During this time, he dabbled in management, helping to launch Neil Sedaka's solo career.[1] At an engagement at New York's Copacabana, a producer for an advertising agency approached Len and asked him if he would be willing to do some of the voices in his act on a series of commercials. Len agreed. Two weeks later, when he received a check for the few hours of what was an easy and enjoyable experience, Len was shocked at the large amount of the check. He called the advertising agency, saying there had to be some mistake. They said they would look into it. Two days later, a representative of the agency called back and apologized for the error and said they would send Len the rest. It was at that moment that Len decided to make voice-overs his career. During Len's career in voice-overs, he recorded over 25,000 commercials, including the voice for "Punchy" the iconic Hawaiian Punch mascot - plus dozens of animated cartoons, and voice-overs in motion pictures. Len won the advertising industry's coveted CLIO award for best voice-over actor/announcer. He co-wrote and co-produced the short animated film The Crunch Bird in which he did all five voices. The film won the Academy Award for best animated short. He also directed the sound track for the film. He also provided several voices for the 1970 Christmas animated special, The Night the Animals Talked. He supplied the voices of Karate and The Chief in the children's cartoon series Batfink, and the judge in the animated feature Hugo the Hippo. Len wrote some comedy with Woody Allen. He appeared with Allen on screen in Allen ’s What's Up Tiger Lily, and did the voices of most of the main characters in that film. Voice-overs in Allen’s Take the Money and Run and Sleeper followed. He and Allen remained friends until his death. He was also the voice of the color analyst Nick Diamond in the MTV animated series Celebrity Deathmatch from 1998-2002. He was credited in most episodes as Barry Manos. In 1964, Maxwell released the Christmas/Monster-themed LP, "A Merry Monster Christmas". This album entertained families for decades with its head-on collision of classic movie monsters with traditional Christmas observances. The album became difficult to find until Maxwell updated and re-released it on CD in 2005. |

| Search | Add | 11 | Ryder Houston | Ryder Harrison Houston | Ryder Harrison Houston is an American filmmaker, musician, and performer born just outside of Dallas, Texas. At age 19, he released his first film, "Rapture in Blue": a noir-ish ode to the ubiquitous gothic zeitgeist of the late 20th century. Included on the eponymous soundtrack is the haunting theme “Wine (A Sea Of Future)” performed by frequent collaborator Ariana Kelly, and it was this very release that would catalyze the future of Houston’s musical endeavors. As much as his evocative sound dotes on alternative pop acts Depeche Mode, Garbage, and even Madonna at her most subversive, it also seems to suggest something greater operating on the periphery: a dark, omnipresent melodrama not unlike the crooning music of David Lynch composer Angelo Badalamenti or the lush, do-or-die romance of a young Lana Del Rey. Nevertheless, his eclectic body of work remains adhered to a certain groovy allusion to opium-den electricians the likes of Portishead and Massive Attack, with his spidery vocals weaving clichés of lust and rock ‘n’ roll menace anew. It is within this blasphemous little slipstream that Ryder Houston’s unique brand of sonic nostalgia exists — a sullen musical seduction echoing back from a liminal moment in time where downtempo music and freeze-dried hip-hop beats managed to infiltrate every hot artist’s discography, mutating genre ties and birthing something wholly itself. |

| Search | Add | 11 | Mykynes | Marco van der Zwart | Mykynes is a project founded by [a=marco svarda] in 2005, to replace his former DJ Marin-handle. The name is derived from one of the Faroe Islands (Føroyar) and inspiration for it came from a visit to the islands. Unofficial releases of Mykynes started circulating in 2008, but never materialized into official signings. After 2011, Marco used his Mykynes-project merely for bootleg remixes and DJ-performances. The project returned to original works in 2018, after Marco joined the platform Choon. Some of the unofficial releases such as 'Gravity', 'Mykines' and 'For The Love Of An Angel' have been completely reworked and rereleased on Choon. 'Any Given Day' was the first fully original production as Mykynes, and got released on Choon in July 2019. While running a remix contest on Any Given Day, Choon went out of business. This forced the decision to use Any Given Day as the first official release on the newly established label [l=Premier League Recordings]. The track came out in November 2019, with an additional remix from [a=Lumin-8]. Not long after, the best remixes from the contest have been released on the label as well. With Marco Svarda used a bit broader in terms of genres and styles, Marco will continue Mykynes next to it, as a dedicated trance-project. The Mykynes sound covers a wide BPM range, and is characterized by dreamy sounds and tracks build as (part of) a journey. Very melodic, and emotional. |
