Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Ihr erstes Studioalbum veröffentlichte Jana Berwig 2016 unter dem Titel “To be where you are”. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Whitefoxx | Hair / Glam Metal (Heavy Metal) band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (USA). Whitefoxx formed in 1982. Last Line-up: Tucker Michaels: Guitar, Back Vocals Rik Anthony: Drums Tipa Sparrs: Vocals Mike Regina: Bass, Back Vocals David Lord: Vocals WHITEFOXX is known as one of the pioneers in the rise of the Philadelphia Metal scene in the mid 80s. Formed originally as PRECIOUS METAL in 1982 as a cover band, the group’s first incarnation comprised of vocalist Tony Harnell, guitarist Barry Bennedetta, keyboard player Mark Soma, bassist Mike Regina and drummer Craig Soma. As the cover scene started to go sour, Harnell quit the band and eventually winded up fronting Norwegian outfit TNT. Bennedetta went on to play briefly in the band WAYSTED with UFO’s Pete Way. In 1984 vocalist / guitarist Mark Chasen joined PRECIOUS METAL and began writing songs with Mike Regina where they traded off lead vocals. They recruited drummer Billy Sipp and in 1985 started playing out as a power trio. As the band gained notoriety in the Philadelphia / South Jersey metal scene, guitarist Jeff LaBar was added to the fold which propelled him into the local spotlight where he was quickly recruited to fill the void left by Michael Kelly Smith with Polygram recording artists, CINDERELLA. emaining good friends with PRECIOUS METAL, LaBar recommended fellow guitarist Jimmy Maropoulos to take his place. Shortly thereafter, drummer Billy Sipp was replaced with new up and coming skin beater, Jimmy “Feek” Ferraioli. Feek was young, had some monster “chops” and he brought his own special brand of humor to the band. Soon PRECIOUS METAL had to change their name when an all-girl band with the same name landed a major label record deal. This is how WHITEFOXX was born. Although Feek helped with the transition from PRECIOUS METAL to WHITEFOXX, he only stayed with the band for about a year before moving on to other projects. He was responsible for creating many of the signature drum parts in the early WHITEFOXX material, some of which remain to this day. In 1986, with a new name and new attitude, WHITEFOXX entered the studio and cut a strong, four song demo with temporary drummer Jim Drnec. This first foray featured the impressive anthem “Beverly Hills” which gained them attention in HIT PARADER magazine in the US as well as KERRANG magazine in the UK. Soon “Metal” shows on local radio stations picked up on this and started playing tracks from the WHITEFOXX demo. Shortly after this, WHITEFOXX found their missing link in drummer Rik Anthony and enjoyed the stability hey had been looking for. With this lineup of Chasen, Regina, Maropoulos & Anthony, the band went on to become one of the strongest contenders in the Philadelphia Metal scene. With catchy songs, a flashy stage show and a growing army of followers, it seemed they were destined for stardom! But, as with any group of talented individuals, it’s not always easy to stay on the same page let alone the same stage. Chasen, Maropoulos & Ferraioli went on to form the band CHASEN with new bassist Donie Bufalo while vocalist Rob Zucchi and guitarist Reggie Wu joined WHITEFOXX. Wu later went on to form the band HEAVENS EDGE. In 1987 WHITEFOXX seemed to stabilize again when WORLD WAR III frontman Tipa Sparrs joined Regina & Anthony along with guitarist / keyboardist Tucker Michaels and guitar wizard Dave Lord was recruited to fill the void left by Reggie Wu. In 1988 WHITEFOXX signed a production deal with Denny Somach Productions. The plan was for Somach to get WHITEFOXX signed to a major label to take the band’s career to the next logical level. The song “Starry Eyes” caught the attention of several labels and some showcases were set up so the record company execs would get a chance to see the band play live. At least one deal was put forth but unfortunately, Somach didn’t feel any of the offers were strong enough to produce a competitive enough product. Eventually, WHITEFOXX disbanded in 1989 when Anthony and Regina, this time as frontman, went on to form the band LIGHT YEARS with guitarist Larry Campanella & bassist Slater Clifton. In 1992 Regina, Anthony & Zucchi went back on the road again as WHITEFOXX with Larry Campanella on guitar. Chasen declined the invitation to join this incarnation due to another project he was already involved in. The plan was to play only a few shows but it lasted for a full year. In 2004 Chasen reformed WHITEFOXX for a series of shows that featured Philadelphia / South Jersey bands from the 80’s. He recruited guitarist Barry Bennedetta , drummer Jim Drnec, and a local bass player to do the show as Regina was involved in other projects. WHITEFOXX came full circle when co-founders Chasen and Regina got back together to appear onstage for the first time in over 20 years for a reunion show in New Jersey in 2012. This lineup also featured former WHITEFOXX guitarist Larry Campanella and drummer Chris Nerone. At one point in the show they were also joined onstage by Reggie Wu to perform “Beverly Hills." | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Fast Piece Of Furniture | This Toledo, Ohio-based band was formed by singer and guitarist Tony Lowe, who played with a variety of bands in Ohio, including Junior Electric. In 2003 he met Jeff Nelson, who had drummed for many bands, most notably Minor Threat. Jeff moved to Toledo from the Washington, DC area because of his obsession with old Jeep Wagoneers, (Jeep is from Toledo) and for Toledo’s remarkable collection of affordable Victorian houses. Although when he moved he had not played drums in 12 years, he was so impressed by Tony's playing, singing, and songwriting that he came out of retirement to join his band. Several lineup changes later, they were joined by bassist Mahlon Orrin, who’d played in The Black Dahlia Murder and PB.Army. Shortly thereafter, the band was completed when friend and law student Erika Kuester joined them on keyboards. When Tony had first looked around the big Victorian house Jeff bought, he was immediately struck by how perfect it would be for recording, especially the third-floor ballroom. With friend Brian Nupp (known as the “Fifth Piece of Furniture”) engineering, a great variety of sounds were captured in the ballroom, the second floor hall, and in various bedrooms and bathrooms. The results can be heard on their debut album, “Adventures in Contentment,” a co-release between Adult Swim and Dischord Records. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Marios Joannou Elia | Marios Joannou Elia | Composer and artistic director of Cypriot origin, born 19 June 1978. Elia first studied composition with Adriana Hölszky at the Salzburg Mozarteum and with Klaus Huber at the University of Music in Basel. He then studied musicology at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. In 2004, inspired by the Aristotelian polyaesthetic conception, he developed the concept of 'Polymediality'. He was awarded a PhD from the University of Southampton in 2010, supervised by the British composer Michael Finnissy. Elia’s international breakthrough came in 2011, with the première at Mannheim's Central Square of the one-hour multimedia symphony Autosymphonic, performed by the spectacular combined forces of the SWR Symphony Orchestra Baden-Baden and Freiburg, the SWR Vokalensemble Stuttgart, Stuttgart State Opera Children’s Chorus, 80 automobiles of all types and eras ‘played’ by 120 young musicians, Xavier Naidoo and Söhne Mannheims! According to a study by the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University, Autosymphonic achieved a TV/media audience of nearly two billion. Since then, Elia has been widely accepted as an innovative mastermind of contemporary culture and has attracted the attention of the mass media. The Südwest Presse wrote: ‘Monumentalist: Elia is considered in the music world to be the man for monumental events’, while The New York Times, Deutsche Welle, Reuters and ARD – among others – have also praised his work. Even before this, his compositions had been regularly performed throughout Europe, Asia and America – his 80-minute opera Die Jagd (2008), for example, was praised for its ‘idiosyncratic sound worlds’ (Die Welt). Elia’s oeuvre of more than 70 pieces to date is multifaceted not only for the diversity of its stylistic musical genres but also for the variety of its intended performance venues. It includes works for opera houses and concert halls – for example, the Berlin Philharmonie and the Warsaw Philharmonic Concert Hall, and the state opera houses of Hannover, Stuttgart and Skopje, as well as unusual venues, such as Salzburg Airport and Mirabell Gardens, the Transparent Factory of Volkswagen in Dresden and the eight-storey building of the Ministry for Science and Culture of Lower Saxony. Renowned orchestras, ensembles and soloists, such as the Sinfonietta of the Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig, Deutsche Radio Philharmonie, Ensemble Modern, Ensemble Recherche, Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble and the Austrian Ensemble for New Music have performed his works. Elia has been awarded prestigious international prizes, including the Lutoslawski and the Serocki Awards in Warsaw (2004 and 2008), the Edison Denisov Prize in Moscow (2007), the Luciano Berio Prize in New York (2010), the BMW Prize in Munich (2005) and the Gold Apple of FAMAB for Germany’s best innovative public event (2012). Besides his activity as a composer, Elia has worked as the artistic director of large-scale projects and innovative polymedia events, including the European Capital of Culture initiative (2013–15), the Highlight Celebrations for the Invention of the Car (2009–12), described by The Huffington Post as ‘one of the world’s more remarkable symphony concerts’, and the Tallest Church in the World (2013–15). |

| Search | Add | 5 | Aloha Sluts | Aloha Sluts is an instrumental surf-trio from The Netherlands. Their music can be described as a mix between the reverb-drenched surf of Dick Dale and the fuzzy primal rock'n'roll of Link Wray. So how did the three Dutch gentlemen find each other? Unbelievable but true, they met in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA! And this little rock’n’roll fairy tale becomes even more unbelievable if you know that they met in the pool during a poolparty at the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly 2014 festival, with one of the worlds best surfbands playing on the stage (Los Straitjackets). Guitarplayer Arny (Los Cheatos, The Last Post) found himself in a conversation with drummer John (Betty’s Doghouse) about, of course, music. After finding out they both play in bands and like surfmusic they decide to get together sometimes. At the same moment bassplayer Eric (Stacy Cats) swims nearby and joins the conversation! In May the band records an EP (Return of the Sluts) with producer Sven Lens (known for his work on the Snoop Dogg & Willie Nelson hit ‘Buy my Medicine’). The EP is released on vinyl by legendary rockabilly label Tombstone Records Holland (Space Cadets, Necromantix) in the beginning of 2016. The cover art of the EP is made by the well known American cartoonist Shawn Dickinson. | |

Carter (drums, harmonica, bass, vocals) and Michelle (guitar, keys, bass, vocals) have been writing, recording, performing, and touring together since 2008. They have rocked various venues around the country and in their hometown of Reno, NV, sharing the stage with some notable names including Agent Orange, Y&T, and The English Beat. After an extensive tour around the country in 2015, Carter and Michelle decided to get back into the studio and continue the indefinite search for new sounds and ideas. They are currently working hard writing and recording new material, while performing live shows and planning tours in between sessions. They often have various members join them onstage for live performances, including but not limited to Nik Taro, Adam Springob, and Micheal Dewayne Jackson. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Μάβρα Ιδανικά | Greek punk group formed in Athens in the summer of 1983, initially as a quartet (bass-drums-guitar-vocals). After a few months, in January 1984, the guitarist was out and they carried on as a trio (bass-drums-vocals). They gave only two gigs (Athens and Megara, both in 1985) and published two of the earliest local punk fanzines. At their last line-up a second bassist was added. They stopped playing in the summer of 1985. No studio recordings were ever made. |
