Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 5 | Don Conreaux | Master of masters and father of Gong ,Don Conreaux is known not only as an exceptional artist and musician, but also as a pioneer in the field of sound therapy. Don studied theater, was the main teacher and director of teacher training for Kundalini. Having 55 years of experience in yoga and sound, he teaches his own method called Gong Yoga, which is a set of regeneration and strengthening exercises. He is the creator of La Voie du Gong. Wandering around the world, he discovers for others the wonderful properties of the gong, which by its holistic resonance has a huge impact on the body, mind and soul. The sound therapies used to improve health, reduce stress and internal changes are currently disseminated by many participants in its seminars and workshops. The artist is also known for his peace activities. Each year, it organizes a concert of the Artists of the World. He describes his music as free and spiritual jazz. He is the founder and leader of the music group Mysterious Tremendum. In concert, in addition to gongs, he uses voice, shruti, shells and other ethnic instruments. The concerts - like the one presented on the album - are attended by guest musicians who accompany Don in musical improvisation. Don is also the initiator of the Bell Garden for Peace. These are areas of peace and calm in which space is organized according to ancient geomancy and geometry.

His last album was in the guise of Anton Weber, a duo with Martin Sohlberg, which closed the circle on work they started back in the 1980s. The Love (Electric Fantastic Sound), Anton Weber’s sole CD release, included tracks that were three decades old and some that were bang up-to-date but maintained the 80s vibe. Hiltipop, by contrast, offers material that feels more direct and steps further outside of traditional pop structures. |

Search | Add | 5 | OLSK | OLSK is a musical project oriented toward dark and minimal techno, created in 2015. I previously worked on a psychedelic project, namely "The Karaganda Project", with already a 5 tracks full-on EP early 2014, and a full length, 8 tracks techno LP released in march 2015 on speed sound records, before creating a new project dedicated to techno: [a5136834]'s first EP: No pun intended, was released by subwoofer records. five subsequents EP have been released by NG records, Oxytech recordings, Viral digital Outbreak and Hexagon Recordings. Now renamed OLSK, my project ventures into a mix of darker sounds and melodic content. As a live act, OLSK likes to combine loops from already released tracks with sounds from hardware synths and drum machine, all of this controlled from an octatrack sampler, changing those tracks into a dynamic live set.

Search | Add | 5 | Heralders' Quartet | "The Heralders Quartet was formed when four young men whose lives were committed to Christ, started singing together spontaneously one night, just for fun. In just a few years their sound has become a very familiar one throughout Michigan and elsewhere in the Mid-West. Many of their recordings can be heard at any time of the day or night on a variety of radio stations or on television. Their excellent results have been achieved only through long hours of practice and very hard work. The splendid blend of their voices in the singing of Gospel Hymns has added new dimensions and freshness to the beautiful thoughts found in the songs. They have a message to sing because each one of them has experienced the faithfulness of God in his own life; 'For His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He watches me'. It is the hope and prayer of each quartet member that the message expressed through the songs on this, their latest recording, will inspire every listener to greater faith and devotion to the Christ they love and serve." - - Rev. Philip J. Koster (from "His Eye Is On The Sparrow" album liner notes)

Search | Add | 5 | The Mahlors | There are many bands that fuse the sounds of Reggae and Rock. There are few bands who can pull it off and make it their own. The Mahlors are not just your ordinary band. The Mahlors were conceived by lead guitarist/vocalist Justin Jones and lead vocalist/guitarist Kevin Gresh in 2008. Pretty soon, Jones was writing song after song with Gresh, and the two knew they were on to something. Drawing from a wide range of musical influences that ranged from Bob Marley to Minor Threat, The Police to N.W.A., to the jazz greats of Coltrane and Miles, they were creating a unique take on the genre of Reggae. Jones and Gresh were determined to start a band. The beginning of the band started with Jones, Gresh, and their long-time friend and drummer, TJ Haslett. They went through a line-up of bass players until they came across Anthony Villar. The four instantly clicked. The vibes were on point and the band set off to turn some heads. And turn heads they did. By 2009, the band was playing non-stop all around the state of PA. They quickly became a local favorite amongst all different age groups, all the while nobody in the band was even over the age of 18. After gigging, the band finally stepped in the recording studio to cut their first album. By the end of the summer, they already sold over 100 self - made CD's. The Mahlors weren't done yet. That same year in between shows, the boys went back into the studio to produce their second album entitled Give In. It had become even popular than their first. They continued to perform and were racking up gigs almost every week. By 2010, the band had already opened up for national acts such as The Supervillains, The Movement, Ballyhoo, The Green, Bad Manners, The B Foundation, Iration, Echo Movement, and many more. They were gathering up a loyal following all along the East Coast. Kevin Gresh quit the group in late 2011 for personal reasons. Although this set the group back, it did not stop them. Justin moved on to lead vocal duties and guitar, and they added longtime friend of the band Ryan DeHaven to play guitar and sing backing vocals. This lineup change gave the band new legs, and they started to grind harder than ever before. In 2012 they played over 160 shows and closed out the year with a month long tour up and down the entire east coast. 2013 brought some challenges; when bassist Anthony Villar parted ways from the band, at first they didn't really know what to do, but then they were saved by Jeff MacCain. A guitarist by nature and a longtime friend of the band, Jeff has filled Anthony's shoes on bass better than expected, and continues to rock shows with the band. Aside from that The Mahlors still managed to go on a few tours in 2013, ending the year with a long one that consisted of an east coast run as well as a leg out to Chicago and back. Now it is 2014, and The Mahlors continue to broaden their horizons. After playing over 300 shows in the last two years, and touring up and down the east coast many times, their relentless gigging and dedication has served to establish themselves as an incredible and unmissable live act. Their fan base is growing faster than ever and people are swarming to see and hear the unique blend of reggae and punk than The Mahlors produce!! Genre: If Reggae had sex with Punk, Ska, Dub, Rocksteady, Hiphop, and Jazz. Band Members: Justin Jones: Guitar/Vocals Ryan DeHaven: Guitar/Vocals Jeff MacCain: Bass TJ Haslett: Drums

Search | Add | 5 | Raphael Gimenes | Raphael Carvalho Gimenes | The Brazilian-born singer-songwriter Raphael Gimenes has been living in Scandinavia for over 10 years. His debut album, “Raphael Gimenes & As Montanhas de Som”, has been released in several countries in Europe and Asia. It was elected as the “best Brazilian album” of 2016 in Holland and hailed as a “conceptual masterpiece” in Japan. It was chosen among the top 10 albums of 2016 on the website Written in Music. The compositions, which combine elements from the Brazilian folklore and modern harmonies, take the listener deep into the mountains and jungles of Brazil. Gimenes’ songs have been described as “so richly and brilliantly colored, that [they] touch you straight in the heart” (Jazzism magazine), and that “an almost idyllic world is created here, out of Brazilian folk-jazz and poetic introspection.” (Pop Magazine Heaven). Since then, Gimenes has had compositions nominated to the Årets Nye Jazznavn award in Denmark, “the year’s new jazz name”. In 2018, he went on tour in Japan with his quartet América do Sol. Their performance was described as “one of the best in recent years” by music magazine Latina. He has recently been on tour in Argentina and Brazil, where he performed with well-established local musicians. Gimenes is currently working on two projects: an English EP, in co-production with Faroese singer-songwriter Teitur, and a Latin American album, in collaboration with artists from Brazil, Argentina, and Europe. |

Search | Add | 5 | St. Dennis Male Voice Choir | History of St.Dennis Male Voice Choir by Arnold Best The Choir was formed 1922. The Musical Director was Mr. M. Kessell, he had a boot and shoe repair shop at the bottom of Robartes Rd. One evening he called three or four of us together and we met in his shop, and suggested forming a Choir if enough men could be got together. Each of us promised we would try and create some interest by contacting friends, and others and report to Mr. Kessell the results. Mr. Kessell arranged for a meeting at a Mr. Henwood's Cafe which was at the entrance of Robartes Rd. There were between twenty or thirty men who came; all were interested that a choir should be formed and a choir was born. A Mr. August Greenslade was the pianist/ organist. A. Best was Hon. Sec. and Mr. P. Williams was Treas. Mr.Greenslade later went to Canada, and a Mr. R. Roberts took his job as organist. The choir had thirty-six members and after a time, began to take engagements around the district at various churches. Items were from the "Male Voice Sankey Book" then after a time they included in the programme "Comrades of Hope", "Newquay Fishermen Song", "In Absence, Evening", "Pastoral" etc. Each member used to pay ld or 2d a practice for use of room and music. Practice was Sunday morning from 10.30a.m to 12a.m. Mr. D.W. Giles took over the organ after Mr. R. Roberts owing to ill health. Mr. Kessell had to give up leading the Choir, which broke un for a time. Capt. Hedley Martin reformed it and the Choir went on for a few years, and began going to various Music Festivals, the first attempt was at Delabole, and they were awarded 1st prize. Mr. Melville Coombe became organist under Capt. Martin. The Choir gave their first Radio programme under H. Martin with St. Dennis Band at Foster Hall, Bodmin; it was called "St. Dennis Night". The 1939/1945, war came and the Choir broke up as members were called away. Mr. Stanley Treloar restarted the Choir after the war, he in turn, handed the Choir to his son Harold, Margaret Treloar was pianist. Under Harold the Choir again went on Radio and T.V. Harold went to Canada for a number of years. During his absence, the Choir had various Mus. Directors, among them Mr. A. E. Baker. Under him the Choir won at different Festivals, won the championship of West of England twice at Bournemouth. When he left the county a Mr. Harrison took over, then Mr. R. Polmounter, then Mr. L. Stanaway, Harold came home again and took the Choir and he is the present Musical Director. The Choir has become very popular, numerous concerts are given in the County and outside. Most members are drawn from outside of the village now. In 1975 the Choir made a record "in The Male Voice Mood" with guest soloist Jean Camps (contralto). Already over 3,006 copies have been sold. In 1976 the choir went to Wales and at the International Eisteddfodd at Llangollen was placed 6th out of 18 choirs. St.Dennis Male Voice Choir recently disbanded

Search | Add | 5 | Otto Goritz | Otto Dietrich Robert Goritz | German opera singer (baritone) (born June 8, 1872 in Berlin, Germany – died April 13, 1929 in Hamburg, Germany) Goritz debuted in 1895 as Matteo in "Fra Diavolo" at the Court Theater in Neu Stelitz, Mecklenburg. Later, he sang in Breslau and Hamburg. Goritz then received a contract with the Metropolitan Opera in New York City, where he performed in 25 operas (mostly German, 1 Italian) between 1903 and 1917, including the leading Wagnerian baritone roles. His greatest success was as Beckmesser in Wagner's "Meistersinger." When the United States joined World War I, the opera stopped performing its German repertory. Goritz was forced to resign, not least because of a rumor that he had sung a parodic song on the sinking of the RMS "Lusitania" at a private party on New Year's Eve 1916. He remained, however, in the United States. In 1919, after the war had ended, Goritz founded the Star Opera Company. The company tried to perform at the Lexington Opera House in German, but a riot on opening night and protests by the American Legion forced it to disband. In 1920 Goritz returned to Hamburg, where he continued to sing at the State Opera House. |
