Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Сиреневый Оркестр | The history of the Lilac Orchestra (later renamed [a1366495]) begins in 1992, when several musicians from Penza, who had previously played in various musical projects and were in constant creative search, united in a new team, calling the group "Lilac Orchestra". The band then consisted of Vladimir Ivanov (keyboards), Vladimir Volodin (drums) and Evgeny Melnikov (bass guitar). The first steps in the field of synthesis of various musical directions gave the musicians the opportunity to record a CD. The album, titled "Tsunami", was released on SNC Records in 1994 and stylistically represented a combination of jazz-rock, fusion and academic music. The main part of the melodies that sound in the album belongs to the pianist Vladimir Ivanov.

Search | Add | 2 | Teatro Valdoca | The Valdoca Theatre company – founded in the early eighties - is the result of the collaboration between Cesare Ronconi, director, and [a=Mariangela Gualtieri], poet and playwright. Born as a collective, the Collettivo Valdoca was a music and theatre company whose members had no defined roles. The two founders' interest for theatre developed in the seventies, when, thanks to a grant, Ronconi and Gualtieri came in contact in Poland with Kantor's works before his company, Cricot, came to Italy, participated in Wroclaw in the unforgettable Tree of People by Grotowski’s Laboratory Theatre and attended the play Apocalypsis cum Figuris performed by Grotowski’s group of actors. In the same period, in the US, they came to know the experiences of Peter Shumann with his Bread and Puppet Theater and the works of [a=Bob Wilson], [a=Richard Foreman] and the [a=Squat Theatre], recently arrived from Hungary. For the founders, however, the most surprising figure and most important point of reference was already then [a=Carmelo Bene]. Those years were characterised by a strong restlessness whose outlets were solitary travels around the world (Brazil, Burkina Faso, Spain, North America) and a long stay of the whole company in a small village in Tanzania. Since its beginnings, the company collaborated closely with the most appreciated artists of the time: mainly painters, sculptors, composers and musicians. A particular care was also devoted to the sound amplification set-up. In 1985 Valdoca, after meeting the poet Milo De Angelis, founded a Poetry School directed by him. Through the school, during its three editions, the company met with the major Italian poets: Fortini, Luzi, Bigongiari, Loi, Cucchi, Sicari, Rosselli, Merini, Majorino and others. It’s after these meetings and as a result of other defining personal experiences that Mariangela Gualtieri started writing verses, suspending her role as actress and acquiring that of playwright, while Cesare Ronconi coupled his direction with an unbroken pedagogical activity which would allow him to train directly its actors and dancers. The most distinctive trait of Valdoca's poetic is the epic character of its actors, always reaching for the super-human and the sub-human, thus stretched between hero and divinity on one side and animality, infancy and deformity on the other; by their renounce to a narrative, to social themes, current affairs and news. The actor, then, is often a dancing body, whose voice, movement and stillness is heavily loaded with expressivity. Beside the decisive role of the actor, there’s the peculiarity of the word given to him: a word that’s always poetic verse, unprecedented, fitting with the written direction, a verse often written in close proximity to the stage and to the demands of direction. The frequent presence of live music, the attention to the scene’s present, the simplicity of the projects, together with the characteristics mentioned above, transform the company’s performances into events loaded with ritual qualities, where the interplay between the scene's forces and energies lead the audience inside the experience of its vision and convert the public into a participating and listening community.

Only a few copies of the 45 were ever pressed up and Susie never followed the 45 through with any other sessions. But it remains a cult single – not bad for a disc that was virtually a vanity recording, cut as a favour by Bell at the request of Atlanta’s chief promoter and artist management entrepreneur Henry Wynn. Raney was a friend of Wynn’s daughter and he featured her on one of his Supersonic package tours, but she never made music her career

Search | Add | 2 | Peter Shearer | Peter records CDs and DVDs of 'soaking music' as a resource both for other therapists and to back up his main activity of one-to-one or small group therapy and teaching - this helps clients to find freedom of spirit, increased creativity and healing using music. His compositions, improvisations and albums are enjoyed by young and old, and by varying creeds and cultures. Peter's albums have been heard in over 40 countries - in various settings ranging from hospices to restaurants. It often brings a calming effect which allows deep-seated emotions in the subconscious to surface and be dealt with safely. This is particularly true in a live ‘soaking therapy’ session. For this reason Peter works with other health and counselling professionals when appropriate. He has developed an impressive list of case studies which illustrate the breadth of application of his work.

Search | Add | 2 | Broken Notes | The Beginning Before this project was given it's name (Broken Notes) it started out with just two people without a band name, Jason Gervais and Sam Dean, back in 2002. Their goal was to create a fan album inspired by Akira Yamaoka's music for, at the time, Silent Hill 1 and Silent Hill 2. This album later became known as the Silent Hill Fan Soundtrack and received a limited release on a handful of gaming forums. After it's release it inspired the both of them to create a follow-up album. Broken Notes During production of the second album they came into contact with John Anthony Mathewson whom was creating a fan album of his own (which would have been titled Broken Notes) and came to a mutual agreement to combine their two projects together and call the album Broken Notes. At the beginning of November 2003, the album was placed for download on a mini-website featuring music by John, Jason, and Sam. This particular album received a great amount of attention from the community and was widely praised. It encouraged the three of them to put together a third album which took over a year to finish. An official website was also put together for the band to keep fans updated on all the latest news.
