Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 5 | Jason A. Pizzolato | Jason A. Pizzolato is a musician from New Orleans, LA. Guitarist, composer, electronic music producer, digital visual artist, & rare-music archivist. Co-founder of, and guitarist for, the infamous New Orleans death metal band Apostasy from 1990- '96. Apostasy recorded a well-received cassette in 1993 called "Unholy Conversion" which was sold & traded throughout the tape-trading underground of the 1990s. Josh Eustis (Nine Inch Nails / Puscifer / Telefon Tel Aviv) was a vocalist in the band for a brief period. The band's live shows were notorious: audience members were often bombarded with raw meat, buckets of cow blood, maggot-infested dead birds, & other grisly items. In 1994, the band performed their final show at the Abstract Bookstore & Café alongside friends' bands Hangnail & The Satanic whose lineups included members of Flesh Parade, Crowbar, Mule Skinner, Eyehategod, Paralysis, Pantera, & Superjoint Ritual. A massive brawl broke out in the audience halfway through The Satanic's set, causing the show to end abruptly before its full completion. The show is considered by many to be legendary in New Orleans underground music history. After some years of musical inactivity, he began writing songs on guitar again in 2007. In February of 2013, he started an electronic music project called Mind of God, which is influenced by the likes of Scorn, Coil, & early SPK. Mind of God produces heavy, beat-driven, dark ambient dub. The project has received impressive accolades from Tristan Shone (Author & Punisher), John Everall (Tactile), members of Eyehategod, Loincloth, Nine Inch Nails, as well as Heathen Harvest Periodical, Tironas Magazine, & other notables. Several MOG albums have been released by various record labels, & the project's videos can be seen on YouTube & Vimeo. Apostasy appears in the book Tape Dealer, which was released by Seven Metal Inches Records in 2020. The book is an ode to the origins of Death Metal and the tape-trading phenomena, covering the years 1984 to 1994. Apostasy has a two-page spread in the book, including an interview with Pizzolato in which he discusses the recording of the "Unholy Conversion" demo, what gigs were like in New Orleans in the '80s & '90s, & the underground tape-trading network. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Specimen-X | Indisputably one of the first bands in the world to establish its own web domain (specimenx.com in 1995) and to release music in the MP3 format (1997), Boston’s Specimen-X took the underground scene by storm over the course of five years, crafting out a signature brand of melodic hard rock and metal. Reknowned for the intensity of its performances, diversity in songwriting, and lyrics and performances themed around the perils of technology and social commentary, the band was the first place winner of Mass. Communication College’s 2000 Battle of the Bands, triumphing over a field of nearly 100 East Coast musical acts. In addition to headlining all of Boston’s and New England’s major venues, Specimen-X’s crowing achievement was its Fall 2000 Tour of Europe, along with distribution of its top-charting funk-metal track track “Every Picture Tells a Lie” on mp3.com‘s “Out of Bounds” compilation – 2,900,000 copies of which were distributed with various consumer computer products. Specimen-X released four critically-acclaimed albums – “The End Is Now” Demo EP (2001) upon the band’s dissolution, “Ascension to Power” Demo EP (2000), 1999′s breakthrough keyboard-laden alternative metal “The Final Hour” (on German label Roddog Records), hailed by independent music critics as “the best thing this genre has served up since the heyday of Faith No More” and 1997′s indie release “Don’t Look Back”. The band also released two professionally produced music videos which were distributed on European music television networks and online as its music received local commercial and national college radio play. Specimen-X “dissolved” amicably in February 2001 after a capstone performance which nearly sold out Boston’s Bill’s Bar – featuring a projected, integrated digital video show and multiple live cameras. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | The Defending Champions | The Defending Champions | It’s hard to pinpoint just when the seven musical titans that now form The Defending Champions became a band. If you’ve ever listened to their music, you might think that they are telepathic septuplets, born to play each note you are hearing, chosen to lead a legendary convention of life-loving citizens. In truth, they are a bunch of friends who have been connected through the years by an overwhelming desire to write solid music and entertain the hell out of people. Sometime in the year 2007, Matt Ryan and Dean Nevolis, after having been in the same band together since puberty, dissembled their childhood group and joined forces with longtime band-mate, saxophonist Matthew Schoenebaum. Together with drummer Shawn Fichtner, bassist Eric Swiontkowski, trumpeter Jovan Alvarez, and percussionist Dave DeRiso, they form The Defending Champions. Composing with their ears bent to the righteous stylings of soul, ska and gypsy music, and held fast by rock’n’roll, the band is allowed enormous room to impact all those ready to dance and be captivated. They’ve been enjoyed throughout the Tri-State area: performing at such venues as Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA, Yogi Berra Stadium, Maxwell’s, Kenny’s Castaways, Knitting Factory, Bitter End, Stanhope House and Rockwood Music Hall. Announced by Jersey Rock Review as “…what is needed in popular music today,” and, in their own words, writing music “intended for the mobilization of the human,” The Defending Champions are what you’ve wanted to hear but didn’t know was sonically possible: better music for the best life. |

| Search | Add | 5 | Rockin' Bobby Harris | Robert Edward Harris | Born in 1937 in Simcoe, Ontario, Rockin' Bobby Harris began his musical career at the age of 16 when he bought his first acoustic guitar and began playing rockabilly, with both originals and covers. Although his main gig was driving a big rig, Bobby still whooped and hollered whenever he could. He was a big fan of Carl Perkins, Johnny Horton, Buddy Holly and Johnny Cash. In 1960 he finally met Johnny Cash face to face, and was blown away by that meeting. Bob also released a single during his younger years. Once Bobby retired from trucking, he had more time to play. From 1997 to 2007 Bobby joined 'Two Dollar Bill And His Bad Pennies' playing gigs all over Ontario. When he realized his health was starting to hold him back from playing, Bobby cut a CD in 2005 with producer Andy Magoffin so he'd have a viable recording of his style and music. Two different version of this CD exist. When Two Dollar Bill broke his band up, Bobby began singing with Bernie Demmery's band in Port Dover for two years. Bobby stopped actively playing after 2009, but still lives down in Tillsonburg, ON, where music is still his life. Bob is also a very skilled artist, and one of his drawings is on display at the Simcoe Art Museum. |

| Search | Add | 5 | Skii Harvey | Skii Harvey | Australian singer/songwriter Skii with her sultry, sassy voice has been likened to a cross between Tina Turner and Ella Fitzgerald. Skii is a life long singer/songwriter. She began her career huddled over an old upright piano squeezed into her mother’s small semi in Redfern, Sydney Australia, where their tiny porch had been converted into a makeshift bedroom. Like many artists she worked a couple of jobs by day and the gig circuit by night. Her voice has stopped the likes of Sting and Ricky May but it is her song writing that has brought her to the attention of the Billboard music awards, the UK songwriting awards, Best Song at the Australian Songwriter’s Association, Song of the Year and as a producer’s choice in the LA music awards. "Standing for a Fall" is the latest album from Skii, following her 2016 EP “Don’t Look Back”: "This album is like a one woman protest. It’s an anthem for those standing up despite the threat of a fall. It’s about having no fear and being ready. Being ready to fight.” “Bound By History” was Skii’s triumphant 3rd album. Her first Album “Uncompromising” and her critically acclaimed second album “Foolish Girl” can also be found on Itunes. |

Born: 3 August 1984 in Atlanta, GA, USA Never professionally trained in music, Denardo Lee Gastin raised himself, around Arts and Entertainment since childhood, especially around music. Growing up, he was listening to various Liberian music, but also cited earlier influences, such as Ryuichi Sakamoto, Michael Jackson, house music, East Coast Underground Hip Hop, and the late 1990s/early 2000s Nu Metal & Rap Rock scene, as contributes to his style. Following the footsteps of his late father who was also a musician, he started writing music lyrics in 2000, at the age of 15, but wasn't recorded on Audio until 2008, only using an MP3 player over licensed instrumentals, during a 2008-2009 period of being a rapper on MySpace. Surviving recordings of his rap music, still exist on his Reverbnation page. By 2011, he re-emerged as an instrumentalist, recording his first 2 instrumentals, but didn't return to music again, until 2015, after now solely recording music from his iPad Pro, with various music applications, that made it easier for him. By 2018, he finally released his 1st album, "Here Ye, Here Ye! (Vol. 1)" on his 34th birthday that year. DLG's musical style is very eclectic, ranging from Electronic, House, Hip Hop, Acid Jazz, Minimal, Shibuya-Kei, Afrobeat, and Latin. |

Since its beginnings they primarily wanted to question human rights policies, ecology, social crticism, modern primitivism, subculture movements, alternative social views, civil society, cultural autonomy ... The group states neither a definied hierarchical structure nor a constant leadership that is membership - it is strongly fluid and acts mostly in the form of "ad hoc" groupings. A constant stronghold of the group are musical and multimedia instalations concerning overall socio-critical engagement (see also : Living Theatre, San Francisco Red Theatre, Andy Warhol's Factory scene, The Fugs). |

| Search | Add | 5 | Lew Anderson | Lewis Burr Anderson | Lew Anderson (May 7, 1922 – May 14, 2006) was an American actor and musician, most famous for being the third and final actor to portray Clarabell the Clown on Howdy Doody between 1954 and 1960. He was also a musician. He famously spoke Clarabell's one and only line on the program on the show's final episode in 1960, with a tear visible in his eye, "Goodbye, kids." Anderson was born in Kirkman, Iowa, the son of a railroad telegrapher. He began playing his sister's clarinet when she tired of it, and by high school had formed his own dance band. After a year in junior college in Fort Dodge, Iowa, he received a music scholarship to Drake University in Des Moines. He attended for two years, but then quit school to begin his professional musical life by accepting a job with the Lee Barron sleeper bus band. During World War II, Anderson served in the United States Navy where he started his first band. After serving in the Navy in World War II, he joined the Carlos Molinas Latin Orchestra, where he also wrote the American dance arrangements. In the late 1940s, he joined The Honey Dreamers, a singing group that appeared on radio and early television shows like The Ed Sullivan Show. While working with the group, he met "Buffalo" Bob Smith who offered him the role on the Howdy Doody show. Anderson again played Clarabell on the short-lived "New Howdy Doody Show" in 1976-1977 and in the 1987 40th anniversary special and made personal appearances as Clarabell with Buffalo Bob for many years thereafter. After his six year stint as Clarabell, he returned to music, and in his later years, played and led the 16-piece Lew Anderson Big Band Friday nights in New York's jazzclub, Birdland. Anderson died in Hawthorne, New York from complications of prostate cancer. |

So, no wonder, he is waiting like everyone else for the return of the club scene. Until then, he stays cool, draws, enjoys a beer, and collaborates with musicians around the globe. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | ZimNovich | Ilya Zimnovich & Milla Zimnovich | ZimNovich are a record production duo, composed of siblings Ilya Zimnovich and Milla Zimnovich. They started their first music experiments in the late 1990s with IBM PC and music trackers, following psychedelic trance tunes of X-Dream and Astral Projection, and then rave and breakbeat tunes of the Prodigy and the Chemical Brothers. About 7 singles were locally released during their first collaboration, the Miracle. One of the singles, entitled "Stella", was licensed to Paragon Software Group for their Palm PDA computer game. The other single "Thunder" was an experiment of electronica dark wave and alternative rock. The song was very famous locally in their hometown and was performed live at local festivals. Then, following success of Incognito, De-Phazz, LTJ Bukem, and Miguel Migs they switched to making lounge and acid jazz music. The Ez Presso band was born. They performed their 8 singles at Sensomusic 2006 lounge music festival. In 2014 they returned back to an electronic roots. Now they have finally found their very own distinctive sound with ZimNovich. Their current genre is a mixture of New Beat, Techno, Electroclash and Neo EBM. They also work in different styles like Synth-pop, Alternative Rock, Trap, Hip-Hop, Industrial, Dark Wave, IDM, EDM and Dubstep. |

| Search | Add | 5 | Overthought | Overthought is an electro/acoustic Rock duo from Pavullo nel Frignano, near Modena. Born in October 2016 the band is formed by Michele Magnani (voice, guitar) and Przemek Werbik (bass). Their musical references range from Ben Howard, to Stu Larsen and Passenger (among the others), but these young musicians’ background goes back to the 90s, to the Seattle grunge scene. This reflects directly on their instrumental and compositional approach. The straightforward songwriting and guitar playing -which lets the bass free to explore- give birth to an easy-listening, yet detailed sound. In 2020 they publish their self-titled album, recorded at All Right Riserva studio, produced by Achille Caifa for Yoloco Music inc. and published by All Right Riserva Recordz. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Elvira Quintillá | Elvira Quintillá Ramos | Barcelona, September 19, 1928 - Madrid, December 27, 2013. She was a Spanish actress and singer (zarzuelas), active between 1941 - 2004. Although is little known, she also won the 1st Prize for Interpretation, with the band [a=Los Iruña'ko] at the 2nd Benidorm Festival, in 1960. Taking advantage of the pull of his triumph in Benidorm, a new release with clear rhythmic content was immediately published: "Te Amaré Toda la Vida" ([a=Hispavox], 1960), but didn't achieve significant sales. In the 1961 edition of the Benidorm Festival -third in chronological order-, which had already become the most important event of that incipient modern Spanish music, she did not attend. However, she recorded an EP with songs from that date, led by the winning song "Enamorada", generically titled "III Spanish Song Festival" ([l=Hispavox], 1961), but went completely unnoticed. Her acting career was more succesful so he move to acting (for instance “Plácido”, byLuis García Berlanga, 1961). She would no longer record or participate in musical activities. |

| Search | Add | 5 | Memory Keepers | In Memory Keepers, duo Jared and Amarah Boulanger dive deep into their musical tendencies. Guitar hooks cut through distorted samples and vocals, coasting on driving beats and bass synth lines. Audiophiliac homages to heroes past swirl alongside lighthearted wordplay and it's darker undertones. A series of upcoming 7-inch single releases and gigging around their homebase keeps them busy. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Asmodeous | Asmodeous is an old school Death Metal band from Chicago, Illinois. The band was originally conceived under the name Cessation in 1993 and settled upon the name Asmodeous in 1994. All having an interest in extreme, fast, heavy music, founding members Kevin Schenk, Manny Canchola, Steve McDowell, and Joe Fraser met while attending the same high school. The spelling of the name Asmodeous is a slight variation from the original spelling Asmodeus, a leader of demons from the Book of Tobit. Kevin insisted on changing the spelling of the name to distinguish the band from past literature and other groups already named Asmodeus. Tyrant of the Land features guest guitarist Jon Heaton, playing second guitar and some solo work on the EP. In 2001, the Chicagoland Death Metal scene suffered a very tragic loss by the passing of vocalist Kevin Schenk, who was also playing Bass Guitar for band In Pieces. In Pieces later changed their name to Dead For Days. Manny Canchola assumed Kevin's position on Bass Guitar in Dead For Days after Kevin's passing, to carry on Kevin's work and legacy. Performing Members: Kevin Schenk-Vocals Manny Canchola-Guitar Jon Heaton-Guitar Steve McDowell-Bass Guitar Joe Fraser-Drums | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Ritmos Tropicosmos | Ritmos Tropicosmos is a seven-piece psychedelic cumbia group, from Oakland, California. They began as a studio project by founding members Jake Rodriguez (órgano) and Bobby Ganush (bass) in October, 2018. Soon after, they enlisted percussionists Jules Anastasia (congas) and Güira Güero (timbales, guacharaca) with Da'vid Garcia on vocals to record the Halloween themed "Tumba de la Momia". In 2019, they augmented the band by adding a full line up, consisting of Eli Reyes on vocals and synthesizers, Lesli Rodriguez on güira and vocals, Danny Ceseña on guitar and part-time member Ivan Flores on caja. Later that year, they released their debut 45 on Discos Más, consisting of two songs: "Tumba de la Momia" and "Beso de Muerte". Ritmos Tropicosmos continues with a heavy emphasis on tropical waveforms and psychedelic sounds. Their inspiration is the sum of their seven minds - meeting at the intersection of multiple timelines. A crossroads of electricity and molten earth, somewhere within the traditional rhythms of the past and the futuristic textures of The Now. | |
