Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 5 Thugnor Side project of JA from Decayed. The concept behind Thugnor was to produce very slow and mesmerizing music, with lyrics dealing with death and related themes. Two songs were recorded in 1996 and released under the title “Hymns Of Death”. In the beginning of 2002, the recordings for an album started and were finally finished later. This time, the lyrics took a very different direction, that dealt with Scandinavian mythology. However, it seemed that it was difficult to find a label to release such an album. Finally by 2011, the full-length album "Scrolls Of Grimace" was released. In 2012, more new Thugnor tracks appeared on a split release with two other bands.

Search Add 5 Bud Petal Eran Asoulin Bud Petal is the stage name of musician Eran Asoulin, who with his band has now released 4 albums. His music has been described as “cerebral art-folk”, “a true outsider, a freak-folk wunderkind”. He was “discovered” when his self-produced first album was pulled from the trash at a local radio station. A self-taught musician from The Levant, he spent his teenage years immersed in the bohemian/DIY art scene of Newtown, Sydney. His music collides Mediterranean 70s/80s folk pop (Lucio Battisti, Nada Malanima, Aviv Geffen), the Middle Eastern/Arabic music of his childhood (Marcel Khalife, Oum Khaltoum) and from the West: early Joan Baez and elements of free jazz. His voice is a glorious, glissading din with stuttering vibrato. Lyrically you’ll find an oddly surreal, socialist-humanist world with strands of Emile Zola, A. B. Yehoshua, Yaakov Shavtai, Andre Breton, Noam Chomsky, Naomi Klein, and John Pilger. As well as receiving airplay in radio stations all over Australia, in Berlin, in Paris, and in the United States, Bud Petal has curated and featured in shows at the Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide Fringe Festivals.

Search Add 5 The Mahlors There are many bands that fuse the sounds of Reggae and Rock. There are few bands who can pull it off and make it their own. The Mahlors are not just your ordinary band. The Mahlors were conceived by lead guitarist/vocalist Justin Jones and lead vocalist/guitarist Kevin Gresh in 2008. Pretty soon, Jones was writing song after song with Gresh, and the two knew they were on to something. Drawing from a wide range of musical influences that ranged from Bob Marley to Minor Threat, The Police to N.W.A., to the jazz greats of Coltrane and Miles, they were creating a unique take on the genre of Reggae. Jones and Gresh were determined to start a band. The beginning of the band started with Jones, Gresh, and their long-time friend and drummer, TJ Haslett. They went through a line-up of bass players until they came across Anthony Villar. The four instantly clicked. The vibes were on point and the band set off to turn some heads. And turn heads they did. By 2009, the band was playing non-stop all around the state of PA. They quickly became a local favorite amongst all different age groups, all the while nobody in the band was even over the age of 18. After gigging, the band finally stepped in the recording studio to cut their first album. By the end of the summer, they already sold over 100 self - made CD's. The Mahlors weren't done yet. That same year in between shows, the boys went back into the studio to produce their second album entitled Give In. It had become even popular than their first. They continued to perform and were racking up gigs almost every week. By 2010, the band had already opened up for national acts such as The Supervillains, The Movement, Ballyhoo, The Green, Bad Manners, The B Foundation, Iration, Echo Movement, and many more. They were gathering up a loyal following all along the East Coast. Kevin Gresh quit the group in late 2011 for personal reasons. Although this set the group back, it did not stop them. Justin moved on to lead vocal duties and guitar, and they added longtime friend of the band Ryan DeHaven to play guitar and sing backing vocals. This lineup change gave the band new legs, and they started to grind harder than ever before. In 2012 they played over 160 shows and closed out the year with a month long tour up and down the entire east coast. 2013 brought some challenges; when bassist Anthony Villar parted ways from the band, at first they didn't really know what to do, but then they were saved by Jeff MacCain. A guitarist by nature and a longtime friend of the band, Jeff has filled Anthony's shoes on bass better than expected, and continues to rock shows with the band. Aside from that The Mahlors still managed to go on a few tours in 2013, ending the year with a long one that consisted of an east coast run as well as a leg out to Chicago and back. Now it is 2014, and The Mahlors continue to broaden their horizons. After playing over 300 shows in the last two years, and touring up and down the east coast many times, their relentless gigging and dedication has served to establish themselves as an incredible and unmissable live act. Their fan base is growing faster than ever and people are swarming to see and hear the unique blend of reggae and punk than The Mahlors produce!! Genre: If Reggae had sex with Punk, Ska, Dub, Rocksteady, Hiphop, and Jazz. Band Members: Justin Jones: Guitar/Vocals Ryan DeHaven: Guitar/Vocals Jeff MacCain: Bass TJ Haslett: Drums

Search Add 5 C.N.T. De España En El Exilio The Confederación Nacional del Trabajo (English: National Confederation of Labour; CNT) is a Spanish confederation of anarcho-syndicalist labour unions, which was long affiliated with the International Workers' Association (AIT). When working with the latter group it was also known as CNT-AIT. Historically, the CNT has also been affiliated with the Federación Anarquista Ibérica (English: Iberian Anarchist Federation); thus, it has also been referred to as the CNT-FAI. Throughout its history, it has played a major role in the Spanish labor movement. Founded in 1910 in Barcelona from groups brought together by the trade union Solidaridad Obrera, it significantly expanded the role of anarchism in Spain, which can be traced to the creation of the Federación de Trabajadores de la Región Española, the successor organization to the Spanish chapter of the IWA. Despite several decades when the organization was illegal in Spain, today the CNT continues to participate in the Spanish worker's movement, focusing its efforts on the principles of workers' self-management, federalism, and mutual aid.

Search Add 5 Claudia Kurver Claudia Kurver was born in 1984 in Halle/Saale (Germany). Her father significantly influenced her music taste with bands like AC/DC and the Scorpions. As a teenager, acts like Marilyn Manson and HIM joined her playlist, along with dark electronic sounds from bands like VNV Nation or Covenant. And thanks to her membership in a dance group, she even grew fond of Eurodance, Pop and German-Pop. In 2005, Claudia moved to Leipzig for studies, where she started exploring music more deeply. She formed the band "Mental Defect" with her husband, Daniel, in the subsequent years. However, personal differences led to the band's dissolution in 2017, which was a tough phase for Claudia. Seeking a new direction, she collaborated with Liss Eulenherz, forming the Dark-Synth-Pop duo "Sonorus7." They achieved initial success with a band contest win and an album release but eventually split due to creative differences. Reconnecting with her rock roots, Claudia attended a concert in 2021, which reignited her passion. With a clear vision, she began working with Jan David, crafting new compositions and joining forces with producers Michael Danielak and Frank Kühnlein. The band's lineup solidified with singles "Unser Moment" and "Ich glaub an Dich" and in summer 2023, her husband Daniel joined as another guitarist. Claudia remains the primary decision-maker, ensuring she maintains her musical independence.

Search Add 5 The Verbal Mind Caidyn Coker From Steampunk, Electronic Dance Music, to Bossinova Jazz Metal, The Verbal Mind is a West Virginia based experimental solo project that started began being more public since 2021. The Verbal Mind was created due to being into a vast majority of music styles, but couldn't just choose one and stick to it. So now, each album, EP, or any release is entirely the opposite of what you'd expect. Back in 2021, the creation of The Verbal Mind started through a series of unreleased demos under the name "Open Your Eyes". One of those songs just so happened to be the debut song "You Hate Me, I Too Hate Me (I Hate Myself And So Should You) Demo" in January 21st of 2022. Afterwards, a series of singles for the first album "DOWNWARDS; INTO THE RABBIT HOLE", which released July 7th, 2023. Silence was left after the release until 2024, as the unexpected EP "TEMPOFRANTIC", was releasing April 12th, 2024. TEMPOFRANTIC EP is an all electronic, drum n bass EP, made just to explore the inner workings and experimentations of sampling, synthesizers, time signatures, and MIDI works. As of now, the new upcoming sophomore album, "Tempus Fugit" is being heavily worked on, with a single to be expected sometimes soon (no announcements yet)

At 11, he started attending the Conservatoire in Pesaro, his hometown. He immediately learned the piano techniques, by playing classical music. Three times he was invited to the famous Italian TV show “Domenica In…” which was immediately followed by more TV. Meanwhile the press has defined him as the “genius in Jerry Lee Lewis' wake” Matthew started touring the most famous Italian clubs, including The Place in Rome, Le Scimmie in Milan, Barfly in Ancona, Naima in Forlì. During summer 2005, he was invited to a number of important festivals, including San Severino Marche Blues Festival, which he opened in front of 1500 enthusiastic people, and the Summer Jamboree festival in Senigallia. At the end of 2005, Matthew performed in Rome, during New Year's Feast, with 150,000 participants. In November 2006, Matthew Lee released his first album “[r=9458218]”, produced by the Italian group [a643509]. The album was also recorded in their studios. The artistic director of this album was the Nomadi's guitar player [a1322960], who also recorded some guitar's tracks. This important co-operation led Matthew to be invited to open the concerts of this famous Italian group. In December 2006, [a229326], who has always appreciated his art, invited him to perform at Motor Show in Bologna, in the "Myths of music" stand. During summer 2007, Matthew was invited by many important Italian blues festivals, including Soul Island festival, Brindisi blues festival, Subiaco Blues festival, Lodi Blues festival and Tropea blues festival. Even internationally Matthew Lee does not go unnoticed: he started touring abroad last year, appearing in Holland, Germany, France and the UK. His second album, "[r=9458372]" was released in May 2008. It is recorded live on different occasions through Italy. In 2015 was released the second studio album "[r=9458309]".

Search Add 5 Jody Lo Jody Gray Jody Lo born JEAUDI GRAY on  August 6th in the small town of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Started to fall in love with hiphop at 8 years old after listening to Back For the First time by Ludacris. Adopted the moniker "Jody Lo" at just 13 years old (influenced by the late Atlanta MC Shawty Lo) after Jody gained a signifigant amount of influence from the era of 2004-2009 with the outbreak of seemingly DIY trap music from artists like Shawty Lo, Gucci Mane, Yo Gotti, Lil Boosie, Zed Zilla and Starlito. At the same time still a child of the "Lil Wayne era" which is evident through the admirable lyrical effort put forth by Jody Lo on each track. After practicing writing and reciting for more than 10 years, Jody Lo hit the studio for the first time at 21 years old when he recorded the hustle & flow mixtape, Substance, substance 1.5 & Sack Religion. Also appeared on Dj Smallz Eyes in a 27 minute interview. For the in depth life story check the DJ smallz eyes interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wi27N7565WY&t=47s
