Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 5 | Wilf Conway | From Palm Desert Post May 5th 1977 "Wilf Conway grew up in the Portland and Beaverton area in Oregon. At the age of eight, his parents took him to an amateur talent radio contest; he entered and won, and so, he was booked. During the following years, he entered many more contests, and, he eventually became a professional vocalist and song writer. His first record, 'Thunder and Lightning', -- was for the Starday People in Nashville -- which is not a bad start. With his first band, 'The Bounty Hunters,' he toured the Pacific Northwest and the Midwest, then went to Canada and did a syndicated TV show for the Screen Gems Co. Later, he worked at many of the clubs and casinos in Las Vegas. "After that, he went to California, working most of the clubs and hotels from Los Angeles to Capistrano. A member of the Hollywood Red TV Show, he toured with that talented little gal, Sue Thompson, who is one of the best in Nashville Sounds. "Recognized as a song writer among his many friends in the C-W music field, he has appeared on shows with such notables as Ray Price, Kitty Wells, Guy Mitchell, Jim Reeves, Johnny Ray and Wynn Stewart, among many others. Living in the Desert since 1976, he has made it his home. His latest record, 'Hollow Sounds of Silence,' is now available and has been aired on 187 radio stations in the USA and in Canada." | |

In May 2015, XPLCT released its rst solo EP «Train Shadows», this composition of 5 original tracks mixes dark and oating melodies as reference to a decadent industrial universe. In 2017, he released a remix of "Lost Island" for Karma and "Obsession" an original experimental orchestral piece for Champ’Caine Records 10th anniversary. That same year, he performed a instrumental live, for the rst time. He moves away from the stage during 2018 working on new projects like "Exit Road": a EP which contains 2 dark electro tracks. In early 2019, he returns with "Acid Rain": the logical continuation of "Exit Road", with a powerful electo. In 2020, XPLCT is back with Raven EP, a invitation to travel across worlds: an odyssey into strata each one more darker than the other. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Notes From Prague | The underground group Notes From Prague was established in 2000 by David Chvátal, a well known Czech director of skateboard videos, [a=Antwi], DJ Negative and producer Maykee, Dave´s brother. NFP was at that time a project leading to the soundtrack of the 2000 and 2001 Praha sk8 video magazines. Their debut album came out in 2002 titled "The Script of Both Elements". This soundtrack - album including 20 tracks of raw instrumental beats was also Antwi's debut. There is also a bonus track on this album - a RMX by DJ Wich - Orien Bounce. This album is quite rare, about 500 pieces came out. The second album "Same Place" in late 2004 made the group better known and there was a huge difference in the sound of their music as well. Better instrumentals, sharper and more direct performance of Darcphayce and guests like LA4, Daniela or Dr. Kary were successful elements of the the band´s progress further in the Czech hiphop scene. NFP also managed to build up a live band with strings, bass guitar and drums. Most of Antwi's lyrics contemplate about differences of life in the US and the Czech Republic (Prague and Philadelphia to be more specific). Some of the tracks in both albums also heavily influenced by life in the skateboarding community. Oblíbené skupiny | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Divorze | In the 1980s, a group of young people in Helmond started rapping, dancing, and DJing at school parties. They initially called themselves Sonic Divorze Posse and took part in the W.A.P.S. rap and beatbox battles in Amstelveen and Amsterdam in 1987. When they discovered that there was already a group from Amsterdam with the name Sonic, they dropped that part of their name. From then on, they were simply called Divorze. [a=DJ Charm (2)] became the group’s regular DJ and producer. Together with [a= Speed One] (formerly Beatbusters), they created beats using drum machines like the Roland TR-808 and the Amiga 500. They learned a lot from the group [a=bugas], with whom they also performed. At that time, the group consisted of: Charm (DJ), SpeedOne and [a=soke] (rappers), [a=Paddy T] (bassist/manager), [a=S.C.T.], Eas, and Rolls Roy. Divorze performed in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium. They had the opportunity to record an album with the Runn label, which primarily specialized in reggae. Due to technical issues and lack of experience, their 1990 album [r=1416836] didn’t turn out as they had hoped. Nevertheless, the group earned considerable attention and respect. They opened for major acts like Run DMC, De La Soul, and Paris, and were even invited to join Public Enemy’s European tour. However, some members needed to finish school, so they decided not to take the offer. In 2017, Speedone, DJ Charm, and Soke decided to revive Divorze. They created new tracks and performed at Urban Matterz 2018 in Helmond. Their style remained true to classic hip-hop: boom-bap beats and lyrics with a message. In 2019, [l=Dutch Gems] —a label dedicated to releasing classic Dutch hip-hop—put out the EP [m=1618936] featuring a selection of exclusive tracks from 20 years of Divorze Posse. In 2024, Speedone released a solo album titled King of the South. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Imprey | Imprey consists of Barnsley duo Dan and Matt who met back in 2012 at a local music studio. They soon discovered they had identical musical tastes and both possessed extensive music production skills from previous musical endeavors. In 2015 they decided to join forces and work on their own alias "Imprey", crafting their own unique sound of deep melodic dance music. Their first release "Troika" gained crazy support from the likes of Pete Tong, Roger Sanchez, Paul Oakenfold, Benny Benassi, Low Steppa, Eelke Kleijn & Vanilla Ace to name a few! Each have played countless events in the UK and abroad including Transitions Festival (London, UK), Back to Basics (Sheffield, UK), Fez Presents (Sheffield, UK) & Eden (Ibiza, ES) alongside some of the worlds leading dance music artists including Dave Spoon/Shadow Child, Secondcity, Noir, Huxley, Infinity Ink & Darius Syrossian. October 2021 saw them tour the UK as the main support for good friend Franky Wah, warming up the crowd with a full set of their own productions. October 2021 also saw them get their first BBC Radio 1 play on Pete Tongs show. "Imprey - Stay" is due to be released this March on their own brand new imprint "Phonypoly Music". | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Charles Carnelison | May 24, 1947-August 22, 2021 Bluegrass preacher Charley Carnelison grew up in Hollister, Missouri, and was living in Springfield when he began his recording career. When he was eighteen, he joined Jack Keithley's band, the Ozark Country Boys, before forming a duo with Johnny Holt a few years later. Carnelison and Holt played on the radio locally in the Branson area, and recorded together over the course of several years. Carnelison's signature song is a gospel tune called "20-20 Vision," which bears a striking similarity to a secular heartsong recorded by Gene Autry way back in 1954 (and more famously in a bluegrass arrangement by Jimmy Martin) though he say he copyrighted his own version in 1967, first recording it in 1972. Mr. Carnelison cut several albums and published a collection of bluegrass gospel songs as well as a book of regional Ozark folklore. Eventually he quit performing due to hearing loss, but Carnelison and his band 20-20 Vision were still performing locally well into the 21st Century, with a presence on Facebook and podcasting as well. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Plankton Waves | Plankton Waves is the symbiotic union of producer/composer Michel Flammant and vocalist/composer Natalie Pickar who have been involved in many different projects over the years. In 2010 they decided to continue on their own, to build a place for themselves and to work in isolation. Out of this reclusion came a very distinct sound. It’s dark and haunting yet glittering and beautiful; and definitely hard to categorize. Michel’s pulsing analog synthesizers are entangled by Natalie’s androgynous vocals while tribals drums and old beat machines push the songs forward. There are hints of Wave, 70s Psychedelic or 80s Pop, yet Plankton Waves are nothing of it and more at the same time. In any case their hypnotic compositions are the perfect soundtrack for fever dreams on a windy autumn night. This becomes especially clear if you happen to witness one of their visually intense live performances. Plankton Waves have released the EPs ‘Unduriel’ (2010) and ‘Songs Of Endings’ (2013) as well as the Single ‘Cloud Caravan / We Are’ (2012) and they have shared stages in Luxembourg, France, Belgium, Germany and Norway with artists like Anika, The Soft Moon, Zoot Woman, Clock Opera, Vermin Twins and Dead Sexy Inc. | Search | Add | 5 | Smingus | Smingus | The Polish-American-British band Smingus recently released their new album BLACK DIAMONDS, on Loose Wire Records. The album premiere took place in November 2014. The Band is now preparing a European tour promoting the new album in autumn/winter 2015. The well-travelled multi-national musicians that make up Smingus all met in Krakow, Poland in the mid aughts. Smingus took its time to carve out their own space on the musical landscape by fusing their collective influences to create a unique style steeped in American and British folk as well as blues and experimental rock traditions. Smingus’ debut album LANDSLIDE (2011) garnered glowing reviews and was in heavy rotation on alternative Polish, European and American Radio stations. The band toured heavily behind the album and racked up 150 concerts and festival appearances across Poland and Europe. The pinnacle of the LANDSLIDE tour came on New Year’s Eve 2013 when Smingus played Krakow, Poland’s Market Square just after midnight to an exuberant crowd of over 40,000 people. BLACK DIAMONDS was released in November 2014 on Loose Wire Records and it is full of rich, sonically diverse songs. The album was envisioned as a cohesive sonic experience and even though the sonic pallette may vary song to song, the overall effect of the album is cohesive. Smingus’ songwriting matured a lot from LANDSLIDE and their evolved musicianship, coupled with singer and chief songwriter Dave Molus’ emotionally raw lyrics, are what makes BLACK DIAMONDS a captivating album that listeners will return to time and again. Selected excerpts from BLACK DIAMONDS reviews: "Without a doubt, BLACK DIAMONDS is one of the best Polish albums of the year." Enter The Room - www.entertheroom.pl "The album BLACK DIAMONDS is a production that stands out in many respects. Firstly, we don’t often come across such an international collaboration that includes Polish participation. Secondly, Smingus’ second outing is advanced enough musically that they can easily compete with stars of both the international Folk and Rock scenes.” AltMundi - www.altmundi.pl "Virtually every song on BLACK DIAMONDS is a unique, self-contained work that invites us (this is a bit banal but true) into an entirely new world - a fresh and surprising story. At the same time, BLACK DIAMONDS is very consistent stylistically and despite the perpetual ‘changes’ it somehow offers a cohesive ‘constant’ which allows it to stand up as a collective whole” High Fidelity - www.highfidelity.pl "The tightness of the band in conjunction with a large dose of musical imagination has allowed Smingus to record an album which encapsulates their maturity and perfectly presents their dynamic sonic development. Keep it up!" E-Splot - www .e-splot.pl “BLACK DIAMONDS is a breath of fresh air on the Polish music scene. The richness of sounds and diversity of genres presented in the album ensure that it will strike a chord with many rock enthusiasts." Small Error - www .malyerror.blogspot.com Enjoy your listen and we look forward to working with you in the near future as we book dates for the forthcoming tour. | Search | Add | 5 | Liquor Sweet | Liquor Sweet is a hard rock/glam metal band from Ohio, USA, that was formed in 1988. They would later relocate to Hollywood, California. Every band has its origin story and LIQUOR SWEET’s began in Ohio in 1988. Five talented musicians joined forces to create a brand-new sound: drummer Michael D., bassist Christal T. Roxx, singer Dave Zavior, and guitarists Rozz Calibur and Nikko Daniels. Originally a cover band, for LIQUOR SWEET to reach their goal of landing a deal, they would need to produce original material - so that is exactly what they did. New songs began to flow, along with a more defined sound and image. In January 1989, LIQUOR SWEET recorded their first five song demo at Gattusso’s Studio in Canton, Ohio with engineer Christopher Wintrip. The songs ‘I Don’t Need U’, ‘Tip Of The Top’, ‘Laura’, ‘Kandy’, and ‘We Will Rock’ appeared on their very first studio demo. Eventually they were playing shows locally nearly every night of the week, and the audiences kept growing. Soon the band was playing bigger venues throughout the state and their following continued to expand until they found themselves playing sell-out shows and landing opening slots with national acts such as KIX, House Of Lords, Nitro, Pretty Boy Floyd, and Saraya. Change within the band soon followed. Nikko left the band and was replaced by guitarist and songwriter Risky Ryde. LIQUOR SWEET later returned to Gattusso’s to record their classic songs ‘Money In The Bank’, ‘Down-N-Dirty’, and ‘Spin Me Like A Top’. It was then that the band decided to relocate to Hollywood, California, hometown of the Glam/Sleazy Rock-n-Roll scene. They packed their gear and hit the road in their new home, a 62-passenger renovated school bus. That is when the demanding work began. The five young rockers started passing out thousands of flyers on the Sunset Strip. Risky worked at a print shop owned by C.C. Deville’s (of Poison fame) mother. They used all the overstocked paper for their flyers, like lime green and bright orange, which worked out well because the flyers were bold and stood out. Their first flyer was designed for shock value, donning (or proclaiming) themselves L.A.’s #1 Sex Toys and containing sexually explicit material and it worked. Their approach quickly made the Hollywood audience stand up and take notice. They sold out their first show in Hollywood at the famous Roxy Theatre, and soon they were playing all the Sunset Strip venues: The Whisky, Gazzarri’s, The Troubadour, The Central (later known as The Viper Club), and others like The Country Club, FM Station, and The Waters Club. In December 1990, they were approached by Alex Woltman, a producer and engineer whom after seeing a live performance, liked the band’s sound and songs. Alex, who had worked with such artists as Mötley Crüe, W.A.S.P., King Kobra and Lizzy Borden, thought with his guidance and skills he could help the band procure a record deal. With his connections, Alex was able to take the boys into some of Hollywood’s renown studios. They laid down the drum tracks at Studio 56, then finished the tracking and mixing at Pasha Studios (later renamed Sonic Suites). Two new songs were recorded ‘Kiss Goodbye’ and ‘Take Me Higher’ both highlighting their signature style. Magazines like Metal Forces, US Rocker, The Patrol, Rock City News, BAM Magazine, Hollywood Rocks, and international publications began giving the band coverage, which helped them sell demos, t-shirts, and promo photos all over the world via mail order from the magazines in which they were featured. Then in 1992, Christal T. Roxx got an offer from C.C. Deville from Poison, and he elected to join C.C.’s band. Without their bass player, the band auditioned a dozen musicians, but could not seem to find the right fit for the band. Then Risky shared with the band that he would be willing to switch to bass, to which the band agreed. Once again, LIQOUR SWEET started working on new songs, navigating a new transition, and evolving image. Their makeup was toned down and a sleazier look and heavier sound emerged. In September 1992, the band went back to Pasha Studios with Alex and recorded three more songs. ‘Liquid Park’, ‘More’, and ‘Nothing At All’ were born - a heavier sound but still recognizably catchy and melodic. With the band now a 4-piece, they continued to play but still without the record deal they craved. And then in 1993, two more songs ‘Generation’ and ‘Melody’ were recorded at Pasha and mixed at NRG Studios in North Hollywood. But as it goes for every band, the story of LIQUOR SWEET ended in 1994. Unable to get the record deal they needed to continue, the band members went their separate ways and pursued their own individual projects and interests. Now, more than 30-years later, Eonian Records is proud to release this amazing band once again to the public. I personally would like to thank LIQUOR SWEET and Eonian Records for this great piece of Hollywood music history. This is must-have music for every fan of the GLAM & SLEAZE rock scene from that era. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Julius L. Schendel | Concert pianist and piano teacher. Schendel made his debut in [l=Steinway Hall] in 1896. His career continued at least through the 1920s, frequently as an accompanist. He made a small handful of records for the [l=Victor Talking Machine Co.] and recorded numerous piano rolls for Duo-Art. [a=Nathaniel Shilkret], in his autobiography Sixty Years in the Music Business, recalled Schendel as “a fine pianist, but he was a very strange man – almost a mystic. He was emaciated and very nervous.” He and Shilkret (clarinet) were playing in an ensemble, and Schendel proclaimed that as it was Brahms’ birthday, he would only play his music. “We (the ensemble) compromised: We would change some pieces to Brahms compositions, providing he would play some pieces by another composer. Schendel shut his eyes, went into sort of a trance, and finally said, ‘The Master will allow me to play other composers, if you will play four Brahms pieces this session.’ We agreed.” | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Lacewing | From Kent, Ohio, this outfit formed out of the ashes of [a5906944], who had once included Joe Walsh before his James Gang days and Joe Vitale, who was also in Chylds and Joe Walsh's Barnstormer. They reverted their name to The Measles after the Mainstream album in 1970. Their album is a West Coast-influenced affair which ranges from folk tracks like Time To Go to more atmospheric numbers such as Rebirth and on to heavier rock cuts like Epicycle and Play For You. The 45 is from the album and is by far the best track. Fuzz, Acid & Flowers | |
