Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 9 | PJ Bostic | Multi-instrumentalist PJ Bostic (formerly known as Paul Joseph Roraback), first made his mark as a drummer performing and recording in the Washington area. After touring internationally with Bloodgood for two years he co-founded the band Grammatrain, which became signed to a major label with in a year, toured internationally, released 5 records and wrote the song, "The Last Sound", a rock anthem for the Seattle Sounders which caught the ear of Sounders co-owner Drew Carey. Drew quickly kept the word of his twitter post and funded a "proper video" for the band, hiring Nik Venet to make sure the job was done well. The song was well received by Sounders fans and Seattle radio. After the break up of Grammatrain PJ Moved to Austin TX and quickly found himself touring and recording for several Austin artists including Texas guitar legend Monte Montgomery. He also toured as a drum tech/assistant for legendary drummer Terry Bozzio (Zappa, Missing Persons) for 3 years. When PJ started writing and recording his own music, he decided to take on the last name Bostic to honor the wishes of his late grandfather Paul Bostic. Influenced by bands like Rush, Pink Floyd, Porcupine Tree and King's X he has released 3 solo efforts, that have earned a place among rockers and progressive rockers alike. Never catering to mainstream pressure, PJ writes from his heart with passion, integrity and musical excellence. His songs range from short hard hitting catchy grooves in odd time to longer epic dreamscapes that accompany lyrics inspired by deep thought and personal experience.

Search | Add | 9 | John Luttrell | John Luttrell | John Luttrell is a composer, producer, singer-songwriter, and performer. His music spans genres including solo works on guitar and piano, ambient and progressive rock, as well as scores for media and films. A true "citizen of the world" John was born in Venezuela in 1957 where he lived until his family moved to the US, the first of many cultural influences that appear in his music. Luttrell began his musical journey playing piano when his family moved from the US to Tripoli, Libya. After a few disappointing lessons, self-inspired, John played by ear, teaching himself piano and mandolin. In the 70s the influence of Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, and finally Led Zeppelin fueled John's desire to get his first guitar. His family relocated to Lagos, Nigeria where he was influenced by the Afrobeat rhythms of musicians like King Sunny Ade, which you can hear in his compositions today (Earth Dance). At 14, he attended The American School in Switzerland which became his opportunity test his wings. During the years there he jammed with roommate and future bandmate, Dave Veirs (Interstellar Dust) and became immersed in the music of progressive rock groups such as Yes, ELP, Pink Floyd, Genesis, The Moody Blues, and Mike Oldfield. At the height of the 70s British rock explosion John moved to London and joined a band called Chillum, playing both guitar and organ. Luttrell went from London to Phoenix, Arizona where he studied electronics engineering, to explore his interest in synthesizers and electronic music. In the 80s John played guitar and sang in the Los Angeles-based prog rock trio Helios with boarding school friend Dave Veirs on keyboard and guitar, and Tony Betino on drums, playing numerous gigs in the LA area. John established his own indie label "OtterSong Records" and production company “BasisMedia Communication” in Southern California in the 90's while playing numerous gigs around LA. 2000 saw the release of Underwater Flying Lessons, which was primarily new age piano, with guitar and ambient textures. This was followed up by A Sense of Impending Levitation, which gained popularity with the track “Journey to Farpoint” on college radio stations, especially KSBR in Mission Viejo, California, on the Morning Breeze with host Donna Jo “DJ” Thornton. John was a regular on KSBR’s Morning Breeze Cruise on the Ocean Institute’s Sea Explorer in Dana Point, California, playing his music live on the open sea to dolphins, whales, enthralling the lucky listeners aboard. During this time, he performed at other venues in Southern California, often collaborating with artists such as Dov, Kori Linae Carothers, Jeff Oster and others. In 2005 John collaborated with Russian composer Alex Tiuniaev on the ambient rock project Garden Hose Universe, releasing the EP Falling. In 2007 Luttrell released The Corridors of Time, which originated as the score for the short film The Box, by Steve Deeble, eventually became an official album release. The 2014 release from John is The Dream Exchange, which features John prominently on guitar with acoustic and electric ambient instrumental tracks that follow the theme of the album – the exchange of dreams. The pronunciation of Luttrell is LUTtrell (British) rather than lutTRELL (French). The accent is on LUT, which rhymes with "NUT" and ends the same as "electrical". |

Search | Add | 9 | EN2ORPHINE | Gaetan Nelias | French Electronic artist born in 1982. A&R of RED REC & Team Label CDT. EN2ORPHINE: Curious insatiable and eternally passionate, En2orphine never does things like everyone else. First attached body and soul to the Bordeaux rock scene, he later falls in love with electronic music at the dawn of the 2000s at parties organized by the atypical club Space Opera. It was these two love at first sight that motivated her determination and her endless involvement in music. He started with the production, which led him to present live acts with 69db, Lenny D, McOutis, DJ Volta, Hilight Tribe and DJamency, and gradually became part of the mix universe. At the same time, he ventured into rock-fusion with his group "Churchill" and engaged in electro-jazz and world music collaborations, wherever his characteristic open-mindedness could lead him. His meeting with young WestSound Brestois marks a turning point for him. After a year of exchanges, they offer him the opportunity to mix alongside Dax J. It is then that the hyperactive he is decided to crack on Rennes thus participating in the creation of REDEMPTION. More than just a collective responsible for organizing parties, he is at the origin of a series of podcasts called REDCAST and a label called RED REC in which En2orphine plays a very active role. More recently, he joined the staff of the "La Chinerie" community as an administrator for his techno CDT branch. Preferring shade and mystery, he strives to discover as much pearls as possible in order to study them and then assemble them to form auditory frescoes. Moreover, his selections are more to be seen as mosaics or patchworks as the focus is on diversity and polychrome. Various atmospheres mix and even create original bridges between musical genres in order to question certain boundaries between them and to surprise the listener. Whether the atmosphere is cold and distressing or warm and reassuring, En2orphine finds itself there, adapts and mixes like a chameleon, its eclectic foolproof constituting its greatest strength. |

Painted by a brilliant cascade of vibrant colors and raw emotion, Dustin uses a form of alchemy to transmute deep, relatable feelings and experiences into the medium of music. Fusing stylistic elements of both punk-rock and hip-hop, Dustin started making music in an effort to escape the realities of growing up “different” in small-town Minnesota. Generally secluded from others, he developed a variety of skills & talents, most notably playing the electric guitar. Around age 17 he started to experiment with singing and writing his own songs, mainly about love/heartbreak, and his experience growing up in a separated familythe pains and heartaches of growing up. In March 2018 he released his debut EP titled Dream Trauma. Since then, Dustin has been making music under the artist name Drawn To The Sky, reflecting his endless ambition to reach athe higherst level of human consciousness and personal growthpersonal growth and human consciousness.

Search | Add | 9 | Eugenio Della Chiara | DECCA artist since 2018, Eugenio Della Chiara got his degree in classical guitar – with top marks and honors – at the Conservatoire of Pesaro, under the direction of Giuseppe Ficara. Among his Maestros there have been Andrea Dieci and Oscar Ghiglia, with whom he studied at the Chigiana Academy of Siena. Among the prizes he received there are two scholarships granted by the “Fondazione Rossini” he won in 2008 and 2010. In parallel with his musical studies, he completed his education in humanities at the Università Cattolica of Milan, obtaining a degree in Classical Studies first, and in Modern Philology later on. His many concerts have allowed him to play in Japan, Austria, Germany, Hungary, Turkey, Spain, Norway, Denmark and Eire. In Italy, he has performed solo recitals for some of the main musical institutions in the country, including the Società del Quartetto of Milano, the Pietà de’ Turchini of Naples, the Valle d’Itria Festival, the Società dei Concerti of Parma, the Rossini Opera Festival and the Orchestra Sinfonica of Milano. For DECCA he has recorded “Schubert – A portrait on guitar”, realized using original Viennese instruments of the early XIX century, “Guitarra Clásica”, an anthology that collects some rare guitar transcriptions from Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven, and “Paganini Live”, an EP live recorded with Piercarlo Sacco. Before that – between 2012 and 2016 – he recorded three CDs for Discantica and Phoenix Classics. A passionate chamber musician, he collaborates with violinist Piercarlo Sacco, with guitarist Andrea Dieci and with pianist Alberto Chines. His interest in vocalism and musical theatre allows him to frequently collaborate with opera singers, above all with mezzosoprano Teresa Iervolino, tenors Juan Francisco Gatell and Mert Süngü. Together with Alessio Boni, he has staged “Tutto il resto è silenzio”, a reading from Shakespeare’s Hamlet accompanied by seventeenth-century English music. He assiduously collaborates with composers belonging to different generations – such as Carlo Galante, Orazio Sciortino, Roberto Tagliamacco and Davide Anzaghi – whose more than twenty solo and chamber works were dedicated to him. He has several first-ever recordings at his credit, among which the “Sonata per chitarra” composed by Luciano Chailly in 1976 stands out. Since 2015, he has been the artistic director of “MU.N – Music Notes in Pesaro”, a chamber music season organized by the Associazione Marchigiana Attività Teatrali. He is Professor at the Conservatoires of Bergamo and Trieste. He plays guitars by Domingo Esteso (Madrid, 1935) and Lucio Carbone (Milano, 2021).
