Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 9 | Ken Kobold | Ken Kobold of Ottawa, Illinois was a recording engineer who has been recording Drum Corps on reel-to-reel tape. He was active in the 1970s and 1980s. Back in the 1970s, if you wanted to find a recording of a corps dating back to the 1950s, there was only one man who could possibly help you -- Ken Kobold. Kobold was the only person who had quality sound recordings of hundreds of corps dating back to the early 1950s. After years of doing it himself for posterity purposes, [l153566] asked for his help. From 1971 to 1982, Kobold was the only recording engineer for DCI. Because of his love for the activity, he gave his services to the young organization and made master recordings of all the DCI Championships. This effort made it possible for DCI to produce albums and cassettes to sell to fans across the continent and world. By selling these recordings, [l153566] was able to survive those beginning years. The records were the organization's only fundraiser and enabled the DCI board of directors to hire a full time executive director. From there, the organization grew, but not without Kobold's continued help. In addition, he was in sole possession of a historical library made up of professional drum corps recordings dating from the 1950s to 1987, when he retired. He nurtured that collection through the years to not only include the "big" corps but also the hometown units as well. [a8440542], former executive director of DCI, explained, "Through all the years of helping DCI grow, Ken's only request was to have a place where he could set up his equipment to do his job. He was the ultimate volunteer." Ken also started the Marquette Crusaders in Ottawa, IL in 1954. It was first started at Marquette HS, the only Catholic high school in town. Within the first few years they changed the name to allow any kids in Ottawa and surrounding towns to join. Ken was inducted into the DCI Hall of Fame in 1989. He passed away in 1992. | |

The music writing started in 2018, and had gone through various changes. Publicly starting out with a demo single of You Hate Me, I Too Hate Me in 2021, and later on with The Halfway in 2022, and the first album DOWNWARDS! INTO THE RABBIT HOLE in 2023. then we got TEMPOFRANTIC. A random EP that had changed and pierced the concept of the project, making it no longer just one genre. Later on, various personal issues occurred, which formed into the lyrical suicide known as thereisnocure. The album was rushed just to move onto another project due to the amount of self loathing the project was presenting onto me, as well as caused a depression recording and resenting on past occurrences. With that, in early-mid 2025 afterwards, we got yes and its outtakes as well as a remix of DOWNWARDS ALBUM 3 is in production and is being gatekept for the time being… |

Founded in the mid-1950s, the Collegium was first conceived as an opportunity for graduate students in musicology to experience early music in a performance context that was tightly integrated with the academic curriculum. Previous directors have founded or are currently directors of notable choral ensembles, including Capella Nova (Richard Taruskin), Pomerium (Alexander Blachly), and Anonymous 4 (Susan Hellauer, also director of the Collegium Musicum at Queen's College), and Eric Rice (the Collegium Musicum of the University of Connecticut). My music is a fusion of ethereal melodies, progressive beats, afro rhythms, and the raw, obsessive sounds that intensify emotions. Drawing inspiration from the techno scene of the early 2000s, as well as the energy of hardstyle and hardcore, my music is a dynamic amalgamation of influences that transcends genres. The pulsating beats and relentless drive of these electronic genres have left an indelible mark on my creative journey, adding an edge to the ethereal and progressive elements in my compositions. Every sound is meticulously placed, each one weaving a tapestry of sound that mirrors my unique perspective. Immerse yourself in the layers of my sonic world, where each arrangement is an intimate expression of my soul. Join me on this psychedelic musical odyssey as we explore the profound depths of emotions and experiences. |

| Search | Add | 9 | Kim Köster | Kim Köster | Kim Köster was born 1981 and raised in the north German village of Worpswede. Growing up in this artists’ colony, surrounded by the dark woods and moorland, fed into his artistic ambitions and inspired his interest in melancholic, dark or eerie themes. He entered the global urban arts area at a young age, traveling across Europe, Australia, Canada, and South America, gradually making a name for himself through his work in derelict buildings, painting characters that seemingly interact with the dilapidated environment around them, blending art with architectural elements. Since 2020 Kim shifted his work environment from abandoned buildings to the atelier, predominantly working with paint on canvas. The work is developed in series, taking one motif and one medium, and creating a range of individual works within the given parameters. He continues to be interested in a variety of mediums to express his artistic ideas, both abstract and figurative, analogue and digital. He currently spends his time between Berlin and Ein Ding der Möglichkeit (Salderatzen), where he has his own atelier. |

| Search | Add | 9 | Dave Bichard | Rachel James | Producer, writer, multi-instrumentalist & DJ from Manchester, England. Diagnosed as transgender in 2007 and now better known as Rachel James. BIOGRAPHY – UPDATED JULY 2012 Rachel Ellektra AKA Rachel James. Musician, song-writer, producer, remixer, sound engineer, DJ and much more besides. She’s written music for and with artists like Angie Brown, Joy Malcolm and Steve Strange, produced for labels like Sony Music and Neo Records and has been recommended by the likes of Danny Tenaglia, Redanka and Eddie Gordon. Multi-instrumentalist and multi-genre producer, she is almost impossible to ‘pigeon-hole’. So who is she and how did it all begin?… Rachel started out as a musician at just 5 years old playing keyboard, violin and guitar and was already in her first rock band at 13. When the dance music bug bit her at the tender age of 15, she began DJ’ing and progressed quickly music production. With borrowed and blagged equipment, Rachel soon had the basis of a small studio set up at home and was putting demos together and sending them out to labels eventually attracting the attention of Grant Nelson. She headed to London and co-wrote a couple of tracks for Nice ‘n’ Ripe alongside Grant. Rachel went on to produce for several labels and in the late 90’s she hooked up with Eddie Gordon of Neo Records who started putting remix work her way. These mixes gained her the attention of the A-list DJ’s and several BBC Radio 1 plays for her music. In 2001 Rachel’s cunning mash-up of David Bowie’s ‘Let’s Dance’ with DSK’s ‘What Would We Do’ got tongues wagging and dance floors moving. Aczess’ cheekily titled ‘Do What We Would picked up the attention of many a big name DJ playing it in Ibiza that summer and went on to get signed to Sony’s dance off-shoot INCredible. The track went on to be a massive club smash topping many well-known dance charts. In more recent years Rachel's label Axis Trax was born. It was initially a label to push out Rachel’s own musical doodles but it fast developed into a magnet for fabulous, undiscovered as well as well-established dance artists. The label though started on a zero budget soon attracted a large fan base celebrated it’s 1st birthday with a big bash at Ministry of Sound, London. Month on month Axis Trax grew and so did Rachel’s reputation as a producer/remixer. Over the past 3 years she has remixed for a host of artists including Jessie J, Black Eyed Peas, Marvin Gaye, Flash Brothers, X-Press 2, Redanka, Angelic, Amanda Wilson, Peyton, Graeme Park, Nightstylers, Mazie Williams, Joyce Sims, N-Joi, Pete Doyle, Freddy Bastone, Pepper Mashay, Rita Campbell, 7th Heaven, Banderas and Awesome 3 to name a few. Rachel is currently working on new projects with Blue Amazon and also co-writing and producing her debut album under her guise of Avro. RECENT INDUSTRY COMMENTS ON RACHEL... “Rachel, you are DA BOMB!” (Sterling Void) “You can clearly turn your hand to anything and produce quality.” (Lee Softly aka Blue Amazon) “You are truly multi-talented! Where have you been all my life?” (Andy Holt aka Redanka/Tarantella/DATAR) "I've a lot of time for Rachel and admire her hugely!" (Andy Wetson - Almighty/7th Heaven) "What can we say about Rachel’s mixes except A+!" (K-Klass) "I love your work!" (Kenny Thomas) "Rachel, are you related to King Midas? During this time, the Contemporània has developed a totally innovative way of making music (...). The live performances are characterised by the approach of a very diverse and heterogeneous public, from the children who are afraid of confetti, mothers and fathers, sardana lovers, the curious... Without a doubt, the Contemporània's "Sardaxou" leaves no one indifferent. "Sardaxou" is to make the sardana a party. Members and collaborators of the Contemporània take the best-known musical scores, arrange them to the rhythm and tempo characteristic of the sardana and perform them with the most unique instruments in the country." For example, there are Sardana-versions of well-known film music or the Radetzky March. *) A cobla is a Sardanes orchestra, consisting of 11 people with 10 wind instruments and one bass. Since the 1980s female musicians are also allowed in the coblas. Sardana (pl. Sardanes) is a Catalan musical genre typical of Catalan culture and danced in circle. | |

Formed in Seattle, Washington on the US west coast by Hawk Björn (originally from Sweden) and John Utter (a Washingtonian, also of Scandinavian heritage), bounce the ocean initially caught the attention of Hollywood film producers Rick Stevenson and Robert Redford who wanted to include several of their pop songs in their Patrick Dempsey, Jennifer Connelly movie called "Some Girld" MGM 1989. Hawk and John continued to write songs together and were subsequently discovered and signed by Private Music/BMG, a small new age LA record label venturing into the world of pop music by signing artists like Jennifer Warnes, Taj Mahal and Ringo Starr. Their debut album was released worldwide in 1992 by Private Music/BMG. Mainly recorded in Seattle and LA, their self-titled record includes heavy focus on harmony vocals produced by Grammy Award-winning Steve Berlin (Los Lobos) and Michael Omartian with help from Glen Ballard. The album yielded a Billboard-charting single in “Throw It All Away” and a significant radio hit with “Wasting My Time”, selling over a quarter-million copies and featured on multiple “Gold” collections released by BMG in 1994 and Island Records in 1995. | Search | Add | 9 | The Sherwoods Of Cornell | The Sherwoods (1956–1973) The Cornell University Glee Club is the oldest student organization at Cornell University, having been organized shortly after the first students arrived on campus in 1868. Over the years, The Glee Club has spawned several spinoff a capella subsets. The club currently has only one official a cappella subset, The Hangovers, but two other spinoff groups, Cayuga's Waiters and The Sherwoods. The Sherwoods were formed in 1958 by renegade choristers who left the Glee Club to form their spin off group. First appearing at the Glee Club's 1956 fall concert, The Sherwoods of Cornell gained prominence quickly among collegiate musical groups. They embarked on their first international tour in the summer of 1957 with an itinerary including Hawaii and the Far East. By 1958, they were a successful act ,in there own right, and were in great demand both on and off campus. This enormous success came at a price, however, and led to conflicts with the Glee Club, which had remained The Sherwoods' parent organization during these formative years. In the fall of 1958, the two organizations split officially. The Sherwoods toured extensively, traveling to Hawaii, the Far East, Bermuda, the Virgin Islands, and Jamaica and on two extensive tours for the USO, entertaining troops in the Philippines, and throughout Germany . They commonly wore dark (Sherwood) green jackets and ties for performances. Rather than sing stock arrangements, The Sherwoods wrote their own. They were known for rich 6-8 part harmony music unique among other a cappella groups of their time. The popularity of a cappella singing faded for a period in the early 1970s and The Sherwoods stopped auditioning new members in 1973. It also marked the final year in which the Sherwoods were featured in The Cornellian, Cornell University's annual year book. In 1985 The Class of '65 invited the 'Younger' Sherwoods back to Cornell to entertain them at their 20th reunion. It was the first time in twenty years The Youngers had met to re-learn their songs and practice their entertaining introductions. The 'Younger' Sherwoods have been returning to Cornell's Ithaca campus to perform at reunions every year since 1985, celebrating their 26th annual shows in 2010, once again entertaining the Class of '65, this time at the class's 45th reunion. The 'Founders' Sherwoods gather at various times during the year, continuing to practice and perform the repertoire they sang during their era at Cornell. Between the two Sherwoods groups there are about 45 active Sherwood singers performing today. Noted hit singer/songwriter [a320273] sang with the Sherwoods for several years, writing two songs performed by the group, 'Let me Down Easy' and 'Winter Song'. As an undergraduate, Chapin was preoccupied with his own songwriting, and he eventually dropped out of Cornell University to focus on his early career as a successful singer-songwriter. In 1971 Fred Kewley, Sherwood musical director, became Chapin's Manager through the best years of his career, landing the recording contract with Elektra through his hits Taxi, WOLD, and Cats In The Cradle, etc., and the hundreds of concerts around the USA and Europe. | |
