Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 7 | Mike Okri | Mike Okri stormed the Nigerian music scene in 1988 with his chart-busting debut LP, Concert Fever. The singer who belonged to the Nigerian pop generation of Dizzy K Falola, Felyx and Mozyx, Alex O, Alex Zitto and Chris Mba, almost immediately changed the general tone of Nigerian pop music and was hailed as a fresh sound. The album produced by veteran Laolu Akins, spawned the evergreen hit singles Omoge – an ode to the ‘dangerous’ new breed of Lagos women – and Time Na Money, which preached the necessity of time management and planning. Other songs of the album include Orin Tun Tun, No more brother, Let your love show and Ayeme. Following the success of the album, Okri soon emerged the hottest new act of the 90s whose appeal cut across all tribes and age.

Search | Add | 7 | Scott Nussman | "The context of all art and sound I create is based on my beliefs, feelings, and visual perceptions at the moment it was created. The modern world is filled with too many people who take a variety of things at face value or interpret it in opposition for the sake of attention or a desire to control. Growing up in the 90s and seeing people holding demonstrations calling for the censorship of music during the same time as the Watts riots and Rodney King beating, I was dramatically impacted in regards to my feelings on censorship in general. Creative freedom through sound is one of the last bastions of free speech. Instead of placing blame on the influence of personal or group creative expression, the sickness in our society is what needs to be addressed. Much of my noise and music unapologetically puts forth the darkest aspects of society's underbelly and the impact it has had on me in order to both vent and express my disgust and disappointment. I especially use noise as my outlet for negativity so that I can go throughout life without reflecting that negativity on others or becoming a miserable person. I appreciate everyone who continues to support me. I realize how fortunate and blessed I am every single day. I have so much past and present music I will make available very soon. The newer music and noise that I have started making and have planned ranges in the type of sound. I am in the best place I have ever been in my life. Finally, my dreams are backed with the actions and plans to make them a reality. Sometimes, realizations and changes in habits take years as they did in my case. Every day I am grateful for the events, people, authors, and musicians who continue to inspire me to be better every day. I hope that the newer music I will be releasing later this year will be something that more people can relate to. My music has never had aspects of selflessness until this year. I have never felt the amount of joy and the chills from songwriting that I have experienced in just the past month." - Scott Nussman - 2/18/2022

Search | Add | 7 | عزيزة جلال | عزيزة محمد جلال (ʿAzīza Muḥammad Jalāl) | Aziza Jalal is an iconic Arabic singer from Morocco, she currently lives in Saudi Arabia and is a Saudi national. Before fame and marriage, the singer dedicated her life to the study of music. Young Aziza Jalal studied music in Meknes before participating in a singing competition called Mawahib (Talents) supervised by renowned Moroccan singer Abdelnabi Al Jirari in 1975. During the competition, the singer performed songs of well-known Egyptian and international Arab icons, such as Shadia and Ismahan. In a singing career that lasted from 1975 to 1985, Aziza Jalal became a popular classical singers across the Arab world before deciding to give up the artistic scene for a life of piety with a Saudi husband. She was known to be King Hassan II of Morocco's favourite singer, and often appeared on Moroccan television and at state occasions singing nationalistic, pan-Arab, and Islamic-themed material. The singer had made a name for herself as one of the top Arab singers in the 70s and 80s. Not too little to late, her vocals have made headlines again as she astonished the world by singing a few verses from her song during the television show. Jalal’s song “Mestaniyak” was covered by Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram, one of the most popular Arab artists. The song’s lyrics come from the repertoire of the great Egyptian musician Mohamed Abdelouahab. The composer of the song was renowned musician Baligh Hamdi. Aziza Jalal, however, had several other famous songs, including Min Hakek T’atebny (You have the right to blame me,) and Houa El Hob Le’baa (Love is a Game.) Jalal’s early songs achieved commercial success in the UAE and in Egypt, and with the help of songwriter and poet Abdel Wahab Mohammed and artist Sayed Makkawi, among others, she quickly became a household name in the entire Arab world. n 1985, Aziza Jalal chose to leave the stage. Aziza Jalal married a Saudi businessman Ali bin Butti al-Ghamdi who gave her the right to decide whether or not she wants to retire. She didn't think much into it and decided to leave. She stated that wasn't a decision she regrets. The proposal suddenly ended her career in the music industry, leaving her fans disappointed, knowing that she could have added even more hits to her already impressive list of songs. May 22, 2019 marked a surprise for the Arab World. It was the day that Moroccans and fans across the Arab world had the chance to meet again with the prominent Moroccan arabic singer, Aziza Jalal, who was out of the spotlight for 34 years. The singer made her first appearance since 1985 on a television show aired by MBC television channel. The TV show is called “Likaa mina sifr” or “meeting from scratch.” In the show, the singer also wowed audiences across the world when she performed her legendary song “Mestanyak,” translated as “I am waiting for you” in English, with the same passion and maybe a little bit more. The interview with Aziza Jalal was also posted by the television show on YouTube. The interview generated more than 1 million views and thousand of comments. After a 34-year hiatus, Jalal returned to the stage on Thursday 26 December 2019 at Winter at Tantora.[8] Jalal's much anticipated performance started at 10 p.m. Aziza Jalal, who has kept a low profile for more than 30 years, rekindled emotions as generations were enchanted by her voice and songs. She thanked her fans “for coming to see me after a long hiatus. I’ve never been away from you, you have always been in my heart. I'm back today because of your love for me. I decided to come back to participate in these joyful events in our country.” During the concert,Aziza Jalal performed “Love is not a game” composed by Muhammad Al-Mouji and written by Mamoun Al-Shinawai, and "Waiting for you (Mestaniyak) which the audience enjoyed immensely. She also performed many of her classics. Her message to the youth was: “Hear us out because we are the past, and the past needs the present and the future, hear us out so that we hear you out.”. |

Tokom *93. Johanbeen snima tri albuma "Sam u borbi protiv dosade, What seems to be trouble, gentleman i Chaossex in monkey division".Te godine se i ustaljuje postava od tri verna člana, tri Johanbeen-a (Kita, Krcko, Fritz). Johanbeen zauzima kurs od kojeg nema odstupanja. Slede godine zeza, svirki i Johanbeenovanja. Sve albume izdaju samostalno u produkciji Siphilis tapes-a. RIP Kita

Search | Add | 7 | 3:6 Philly | "3:6 Philly was originally formed around 1987, their first release came out via Camden based label Zoom Records in 1992. The band line up was Jase (Chris Fairman) vocals, Gea (Gea Russell) vocals & production and DJ Delite (Ray Francis) DJ & production. The Nottingham based trio was often described as an experimental hip hop band for that period, choosing to sample obscure jazz and rare ska records as a base for their tracks. Their (US style, shrink wrapped) debut promo E.P included tracks 'Those Flags Offend Me' and 'Three kryed Rape' with alternative mixes, instrumentals and a dub track entitled 'Kingston 12'. This began an underground buzz that steadily grew following the bands first official release of 'Those Flags Offend Me' 12". Critically acclaimed for its infectious jazz break, fronted with some socially conscious yet poignant lyrics. The follow up 12" 'Funky Alcohol' b/w 'The World Still Turns' also became a minor classic and was lorded by prominent DJs and the press alike. Notorious for giving outstanding live performances sometimes with the aid of a full backing band, which was quite rare on the UK hip hop scene at that time, they were also as impressive with just two MC's and a DJ which was the lineup that played the opening night of 'The Alley' underneath the Rock Garden in Covent Garden, London hosted by Jerry Dammers and Dermot Smyth. This became a seminal venue for cutting edge hip hop acts around 92 & 93. 3:6 Philly toured the UK sharing stages with acts such as Blade, Hijack and US bands Spearhead and Tim Dog. Their schedule also included the odd TV appearance like their slot on Channel 4's 'Naked City' performing 'Grave Digger' a track that was scheduled to be the next single but was subsequently never released. During the following period the band worked at completing their album. They were granted development time at Island studios and had sessions with among others producer Howie B. However by this time the core element that made the sound of 3:6 Philly so original was being pulled in too many directions. The album was never completed, leaving a reasonable body of work that still remains unreleased." - from bands myspace site.

Search | Add | 7 | Jiang Wen-Ye | 江文也 (pinyin: Jiāng Wényě) | Jiang Wen-Ye (1910–1983) was a Taiwanese composer, active mainly in Japan and later in China. Three hieroglyphs of his name are pronounced Kō Bunya (こう ぶんや) or Bunya Koh in Japanese. In his original compositions, Wen-Ye had been merging traditional Chinese, Taiwanese, and Japanese music with modernist and contemporary elements. Jiang was born in 1910 to Chinese parents in Tamsui, Taiwan, a Japanese territory at the time, so he became a citizen of Japan by birth. Wen-Ye attended evening classes at the Tokyo Music School and became a singer. In 1932, Jiang Wen-Ye started working as a baritone for Columbia Records and joined [a=Yoshie Fujiwara]'s Opera Company. Wen-Ye became a pupil of prominent composers [a=Kosaku Yamada] and [a=Kunihiko Hashimoto] in 1933. His orchestral work Formosan Dance was honorary mentioned at the Berlin art competition in 1936. [a=Alexander Tcherepnin] promoted Jiang's talent and published his works in Europe, USA, and China. Kō Bunya soon became one of the most frequently played composers in Japan. During the Second Sino-Japanese War in 1938, Jiang started working as a professor of musical arts at the Teacher's College in Beijing, which was then under Japanese control. In the following years, he had been commuting between Beijing and Tokyo, where his family resided. Under the Japanese surrender in 1945, Wen-Ye lost his citizenship and became practically banned in Japan. In the communist People's Republic of China, Jiang was considered bourgeois and ideologically hostile due to his cultural bonds to Japan and aesthetic affinity with European modernism. He was forced to comply with a government party taste and nonetheless became a political target during the Cultural Revolution in 1966. His honest name was restored in China only in 1978. Following his exoneration, today Jiang Wen-Ye has been rediscovered by new audiences in Taiwan, China, Hong Kong and Japan. |

Search | Add | 7 | Trick-C | Carmen | Trick-C. (DJ,organisator, producer) First lady of Slovenian techno has been firmly stuck behind turntables for over a decade. As a DJ and party organiser she has established herself within the international campaign Urban Divas attracting ladies devoted to dance electronics and their adherents of various artistic expressions. Lately she has also been succeeding with her original production which, just like her sets, feeds on deep underground. * * * * * * * * * * If it's true that regular change of environment is of key importance for artists, the “mother of Prlekija techno” is on a good path to be printed in bold in clubbing annals. A girl form Štajerska born in Germany was assigned a music career at birth. Her mother decided to call her Claudia, but in the maternity ward she was crying so beautifully and loud that nurses changed her name to Carmen with regard to the opera of the same name, as she only slept if she was given earphones to cover her ears. A bit more than a quarter of a century later she is known as Trick-C and she wouldn't swap her earphones and the adrenaline that she experiences when putting the player needle on vinyl records for anything in the world. To win the title “the mummy of Prlekija techno” she worked hard at the beginning of her career as she was cultivating the hills around Ljutomer with new electro sounds, and later, having moved to Maribor and then to Ljubljana her network of partners and adherents grew constantly. With her companion in life DJ Point she worked a lot in Croatia, they were among the organisers of the first techno parties, and even now Trick-C continues to foster the cultural exchange with neighbours as a soloist. At least as much as a DJ she is known as an organiser of parties in clubs, including Lipa, K4, Channel Zero, Trust, ex Fun Factory, Klub Kaos and SubSub. Urban Divas is the name of her parties and at the same time a socially engaged international campaign, within which she and her adherents wish to provide dance floors with additional female touch: "As it is always difficult for us to get opportunities for regular performances I try to gather as many good female DJ's under one roof as possible. I favour long-term cooperations as such evenings are easier to promote, yet I pay a lot of attention to less renowned girls to provide them with an opportunity that I often didn't have." Trick-C has devoted the past few years intensely to creating her own music. The same as when working behind a turntable, she doesn't pay much respect to fashion trends, but rather build her own music story, which was always fed on alternative music. She follows this music philosophy in her latest track DeTour, which is closer to pristine techno than the impersonal music matrices that have lately seduced the majority of old fighters. This recording was released officially by the Slovenian techno record label Vezotonik of international renown as an EP featuring six tracks of various authors (including Miličević,Kobaya,Veztax…) Some chosen - artist she worked with: Umek (SI), Misjah (NL), Kanzyani (SI), La Di Da (CZ), Joel Muel (SW), Veztax (SI), Kiki (HR), Mary (HR), Ian F. Search | Add | 7 | Gilbert Neal | Gilbert George Neal | The eclecticism of Gilbert Neal might suggest a changeling, or a dilettante, or maybe a jack of all trades. But such a characterization would miss the mark. Neal is more curious than distracted, more inquisitive than restless. In his mastery of rock, funk, folk, blues, jazz, and even musical theatre, he embodies the modern pop artist: an intrepid tourist of styles. After releasing four albums independently, Neal created his 2016 Wampus debut, The Mayor of Estes Park, by raising every bar, from songwriting to performance to arrangements. From existential funk to plaintive wit to loopy joy, he grabbed with hooks and grooves, pranks and koans. Swinging from the mainstream to the fringe, he was earnestly sincere one minute and brutally sardonic the next. Then, in an epoch of budding cultural collapse, he issued the bittersweet and unsparing follow-up, Mistakes of Memory. Relying on his mastery of musical theatre and zeal for classic prog, Neal crafted a narrative of longing and disconnection, a timeless pop curio that recalled nothing so much as the adventurousness of ‘70s rock. Yet the funky and mordant “Claudius,” a parable of American leadership circa 2020, placed Mistakes firmly in the glare of its moment and positioned Neal as an artist to watch amid chaos and change. Now, in the wake of a pandemic that waxes and wanes but never quite vacates, Neal delivers the provocative and bitingly personal I’ll See You When I See You, an obliquely passionate salvo that feels alien yet warmly familiar. On one level, it maps the dissolution of a (virtual? long-distance?) romantic entanglement. On another, it explores the mystery and dread framing the global perception of Russian culture. As always, Neal refracts the depth and diversity of his influences: Leonard Cohen, Pink Floyd, ELO, Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan, and Stephen Sondheim. “All my albums touch on religion, sex, age, and hope,” he says. “I treat them all like musicals.” I’ll See You When I See You comes out May 20, 2022. |
