Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 8 | Of Life | Niloc Epil first began writing and recording his own brand of meditative thumping electronic soundscapes in the late 1990's. The first few albums were recorded completely using 4-Track and external cassettte machines, and in a very rudamentary fashion, using a couple of synths and drum machines. The recordings were done straight onto tape, without any signal processing, giving the material a raw sound. Additional overdubs were done with thru a stereo system, recording the new tracks with a microphone. All albums have been produced by coL. | |

| Search | Add | 8 | Hugo Lowenstern | Hugo Loewenstern | American jazz saxophonist from Amarillo, Texas Hugo was born in Nara Visa, New Mexico to Mildred Henderson Loewenstern and Hugo H. Loewenstern. His family included brother Morris Loewenstern and sister Julia Loewenstern Glick. They moved to Amarillo, Texas in 1929. Hugo was given his first saxophone at the age of six. A child prodigy on sax and clarinet, he won first honors in national competitions and at age 9 was featured in Ripley’s Believe It Or Not for memorizing 76 classical compositions. An Amarillo High School graduate, he trained at the Eastman School of Music. Hugo toured extensively with the famous big bands of Jack Teagarden, Harry James, Tommy Dorsey and Sonny Burke appearing as a soloist, on the Burke Orchestra’s recording of Ella Fitzgerald 1951. In between gigs, he returned to Amarillo to lead his own band at the Nat, the Avalon, and the Aviatrix. He married Mary Lou Parr in 1951. Years before as a teenager, she’d danced to the music of the bandleader on stage who would later become her future husband of sixty-five years. Eventually settling in Amarillo, Hugo joined his father and brother in the family business, Hugo H Loewenstern Real Estate Co. In 1943, Hugo joined the armed services and was in the Air Force Band, then later transferred to the Infantry until his discharge in 1946. He volunteered his band to the community, including the Lake Tanglewood (Amarillo, Texas) 4th of July celebrations, and nursing homes with singer wife Mary Lou. His professional career saw a solo album for Capitol Records, Who Said Good Music Is Dead, with the late composer Johnny Richards, who wrote original pieces for Hugo including The Magic of Arabis, which he performed as guest artist with the Amarillo Symphony in 1966. He continued musical associations with trumpeter, Doc Severinsen, Laurindo Almeida and others. Amarillo saw performances with friends and family in a newly formed jazz group. He was a founding member of the Amarillo Woodwind Quintet. The recording Music for Art, features songs by daughter, Tara Hugo and album sleeve artwork by Mary Lou. In 2001, KACV public television (Amarillo, Texas) produced the documentary "That Alto Man" celebrating his life and career. |

At his center for natural healing and Chinese medicine, Bernd Gauly felt at an early stage how touching rhythms, sounds and melodies are, how they relax and go to people in special ways. | Search | Add | 7 | Waked Lunch | Waked Lunch is the side-project of Rosemary Haskins. Born from the ventromedial prefrontal cortex of the brain, Waked Lunch is an experimental project that utilizes atmospheric sounds, samplers, strings, and other more common instruments such as drums, guitar, and synths. Inspired by William Burroughs and Angelo Badalamenti, the music is dark and melancholy, though somewhat frenzied, and often edited using Burroughs' writing technique "the Cut-Up Method." Waked Lunch was birthed, after Rosemary worked on experimental jazz saxophonist Steve Mackay's, (of Iggy Pop and the Stooges, Violent Femmes, Radon Ensemble, etc. notoriety), latest album, "Sometimes Like This I Talk" Engineering these sessions, along with sessions with "the Queen of Noise," Leslie Keffer, introduced Rosemary to a completely different world... a world outside of the more mainstream, but ever still "indie," rock, pop , and Americana music Rosemary had been not only writing and recording herself, but also producing and engineering for other bands of the same or similar genres. Waked Lunch is the next outlet, a huge outlet, that allows Rosemary to step way outside of the boxes she had previously housed her musical talents in. Though Rosemary is the primary composer for Waked Lunch, she also enlists the help of her best friend, and multi-instrumentalist Josh Esref Guntel. Josh, like Rosemary, is from Nashville, TN. He has been playing and writing music since he was a kid, and is proudly of Turkish descent. Josh plays numerous instruments, including the piano, organ, synthesizer, guitar, bass, cumbus, drums, percussion and more. Josh has the rare ability to pick up virtually any instrument, and begin playing it, without prior lessons or knowledge of the instrument, making him an invaluable asset for the Waked Lunch project. Rosemary and Josh have been in several different bands together in the past, covering more traditional genres like rock, pop, electro, and americana. You can find a lot of info on the different bands they have played in at the official websites for WaterWorks Entertainment and Black Label Empire. https://www.waterworksentertainment.com https://www.blacklabelempire.com A live Waked Lunch show, is a bit unique, in that they almost always play to film. They regularly use film projectors to display various video art, and sometimes clips from movies they have scored to. All of the sound is engineered by Rosemary via her own mixing board, and then a stereo out is run to the front of house. This allows Rosemary to have complete control over the sounds Waked Lunch uses, and is an integral part of the live shows. Though sometimes a solo performance, with Rosemary, exclusively, Waked Lunch often have local musicians join into their live shows. This allows for a more "experimental" show, as it is all completely unrehearsed and spontaneous... it's what makes every Waked Lunch show different from the last. If you are looking for something just a bit different, with influences of Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Yo La Tengo, Mogwai, and Nine Inch Nails, with a hint of soundtrack, new-age, space-age music, Waked Lunch is just the dish you've always wanted to order! Find more on Rosemary at: https://www.rosemaryrocks.com | |

| Search | Add | 7 | The European Jazz Youth Orchestra | The European Jazz Youth Orchestra, or EJYO in short (1998 to 2004, and 2006 to 2007), was an annual jazz big band project initiated by [a8206619] and [a702232], organised by the Danish-based organization [l1932768] and continued as [a4920628] (EJO) (2005 + 2008 to 2013) - all supported by the EU-Commission. In 2005 the European Broadcasting Union, EBU (the world wide network of jazz producers from the National Public Radio stations) joined the project and the EBU Big Band (see [a10348339]) and Swinging Europe/EJYO were merged, forming what became known as the EBU-European Jazz Orchestra. The forerunner of EJYO was the 1996 project [a1339635]. [b]The project[/b] Each year a new conductor and new composers were chosen and a band was formed by selected young jazz artists from the European countries. Rehearsels took place in Brande, Denmark (1998-2009) and Herning, Denmark (2010-2013) followed by a three weeks concert tour. More concerts were broadcasted and by the end of the tour one or more concerts were recorded and issued on CD (minus 1999 and 2002). Since 1998 and 2013, around 300 European musicians participated in the annual orchestra and over 200 concerts were organised in 35 countries in Europe, North and South America and in Asia. He is both a musician, graphic and 3D artist with numerous works under his belt, mostly pertaining to what he's currently working on. Harlow has put out five albums under various names as well as seven EP's over the course of his career since 2017. Leuchtend started after the disbandment of Echelon Anthracite, feeling that it was time to move on and push out what Harlow felt was a "completed work" he considered most of Echelon to be no more than unfinished songs and demos compiled into albums and used it as a framework for his first album Golden Hours. The LP featured numerous songs and ideas spanning the course of his career as both a solo artist and a bandmate in Nomad. Later on that year he would release his first physical pressing and maxi-single titled Socotra, which was a very different style from his previous endeavor and would precede his second release, slated for the next year. |

| Search | Add | 7 | Слав | СЛАВ | ENG: The SLAV group was formed in the middle of 1991 in Sofia, Bulgaria by Svetoslav Bitrakov and Lyubomir Velev (musicians), Annie Mitova (dancer) and Valentina Puleva (painter). As a formation in Art in Action Association, it took part in the “Light Well” performance (1991) and the avant-garde happenings: “Creation” (1991) and “1000a” (1991) but soon after continued as a music duo. The wide musical background and performing skills of the two musicians/ composers led to invent an unique “Transcendent-electric” style of mixing elements from jazz, rock, symphonic minimalism, new age, ambient, industrial to avant-garde with originality. The SLAV group has recorded and released the following albums: 1. Breathing - Riva Sound, 1992 2. Enlightenment 1 - DS Music, 1995 3. All In One - DS Music, 1995 4. Birds On Wire - DS Music, 1997 5. Timeless Journey - DS Music, 1997 6. 7 Years Somewhere In Europe (Compilation) - DS Music, 2006 After spending 3 years in USA, Lyubomir Velev returned back in 2009 to team up with his old time partner Svetoslav Bitrakov for their most ambitious one of a kind Project. LARGO < > PRESTO (2010) is their 7th album in 12 years. |

| Search | Add | 7 | Rev. Robert Fraser | Robert Fraser | There is scant information out there regarding the Fraser Radio Gospel Hour. It started in 1925 and ran possibly as late as 1973 and was hosted by Rev. Robert Fraser a Blind Radio Evangelist in Philadelphia. He headed several related charities including the Fraser Home for Elderly Ladies, the Fraser Mission and the Fraser Home for Girls. He was born on March 14th 1906, and attended Overbrook school for the blind also in Philly. The book Undaunted by Blindness by Clifford E. Olstrom claims that he was singing on the radio by the age of 16. That seems dubious as that'd be in 1922, but there were at least a few stations in Philadelphia at that time: WFI-AM, WOO-AM, WGL-AM, WCAU-AM, and WDAR-AM, so it is possible. The Olstrom reference I found for this seemed weak. The book does got the man's age wrong a sentence later claiming he was 19 in 1923... oops. Fraser wrote his autobiography in 1936 titled Overcoming Obstacles, chapter 4 is "Growing up with radio." It ironed out the specifics. It details his early radio appearances. He worked with Christopher W. Graham (Uncle WIP) on WIP-AM, and on WCAU-AM he played the character "Sunshine Boy." He sang with Dumont and Emmett Welsch's Minstrels on WFI-AM and WDAR-AM. But in 1924 he was converted and gave up jazz and vaudeville for gospel and preaching. It's unclear where he might have preached on the radio in the early years but he and his wife Ella Stark were married in the studio of WCAU, so it's probably that station. Another book, 30 Years With Radio looks back at the program over it's history. It was published in 1955 to commemorate 30 years of his radio program. It lists WLBR, WIBG, WNAR, WVCH and WKAP among others but often lacking dates. But the autobiography noted that they broadcast 532 shows on WIP-AM. If the Fraser Radio Gospel Hour was always weekly program, that means spent the better part of a decade on WIP before appearing on any of those other stations. |
