Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 12 | Jordan Wayne Lee | Jordan Wayne Lee | Jordan Wayne Lee creates experimental instrumental rock music based in Los Angeles, California. Creating atmospheric and ambient soundscapes inspired by nature, ambient sounds and a spiritual lens. Songs are created with guitars looping and layering multiple effects in single takes and combining with layering unconventional tones through a 1971 Fender Rhodes. His goal is to explore layers of noise with self-imposed restrictions. Finding complexity within tones and effects while taking a minimal approach to recording and composition. As an art director and designer, he approaches the tonality, notation, composition and arrangements from a designed perspective integrating tempo and composition that is heavily influenced through the use of the golden ratio, grids and design fundamentals as sound explorations. Jordan grew up playing in a number of punk rock, shoegaze and hardcore bands in the Pacific Northwest on the outskirts of the Seattle grunge scene. Later he went on to play in multiple projects in TN, studying music, theology and communications in college and playing in a number of bands opening for national touring acts. Life led him in a different direction through digital design - working with major global brands - and he stepped away from music for almost a decade. This is a collection of work from life experience, design and spirituality. |

| Search | Add | 12 | The Sky Colony | Bellingham, Washington Psychedelic folk / indie rock with purpose The Sky Colony were an indie folk rock group, focused on what matters most to them: simply creating wholesome music with real instruments, and more importantly, their intention behind doing so. Since their formation in 2012, the story behind the lyrics of their 1960’s reminiscent sound had organically grown into one of personal empowerment, discovery, and social awareness. Authentic and heartfelt lyrics, intricate tonal harmonies, catchy hooks, and well-practiced guitar leads are what you’ll hear of this group from Skagit Valley, Washington. The Sky Colony’s first full-length album ,"In A Dream", was released in February, 2015, and featured Master’s College banjo extraordinaire Molly Hazel and brilliant drummer dad Jeff Lacy. The title was publicized with blog coverage and radio play at stations worldwide. “It’s a mixture of the call of the Cascadian wilderness and an the 60's psychedelia era” (Tom Franks, Folkwords UK). Time upon time it has been deemed unique. “They create a sound of luminous spirituality that sets a fire in the mind." (Scot Casey, What’s Up Magazine). Music critics were interested in “a lack of special effects, just pure musicianship.” (John Apice, No Depression). Since then, personnel shifts had landed the full-time band member lineup of the founders Kyle Findley-Meier (rhythm guitar, lead vocal) and Ben Meyer (lead guitar, vocal), along with Jeff Lacy (drums, vocal), and Marcus Nevitt (keys, lap steel, vocal). “We’ve had a lot of great crews in this band. This feels like the one, though.” says Findley-Meier. “We are good friends, kinda brothers with a mission. It’s important to all of us to create substantial lyrics and music that makes us feel something.” Now, their second full-length album, “All of Us” is has been released. Recorded by Pacific Northwest studio master Michael Iris in the Cascade foothills’ Bell Creek Studio, featuring a smattering of skillful musicians and friends from the area, the record is a true call out to the band’s influential roots. “It’s kind of our response to both not releasing anything for a while, and how much everything has changed since then.” Findley-Meier says. “All of us know how important this project is in our lives, seeing what art can do to inspire us to come together in strange times of adversity. It’s our homage to the music that inspired us the most from the 60’s, when rapid social change led by art was as necessary as it is now.” Finally, the band played their last show in September, 2020, amidst a shift in the world and members going forward to seek their place in a new paradigm of existence. The final statement from the band: "The Sky Colony were already having hard times as a band entity. Many friend-band-businesses with likewise moderate successes were calling it quits due to lack of all-around ticket and merch sales, and then the paradigm of the music world was completely decimated along with many other aspects of the 'old world'. Being attuned to the way things were heading, we were, in full honesty, ready to let it go. Now, we give one last farewell as Skagit's wholesome folk-rock group, one born with the starry eyes of the bands from the early 70's, to let the old world die. As the core members Kyle, Ben, and Jeff move on from one another and accept the new pathways presented, we are being brought much light and peace, along with new creativity with music. This virtual show will feature an hour set, 10 songs selected from our entire catalogue, with verbal memories and connections from the band, ending with a perfect finale of a song never released, 'This Is It'. We have had eight years of wonderful support from many radiant humans. It was an honor to see your faces while we did. To all of you, from all of us, Thank you." | |

| Search | Add | 12 | August Albo | August Albo (11 September 1893 Suurupi, Harju County – 13 December 1963 New York City, USA) was an Estonian artist who studied at the Russian Royal Academy of Art but lived most of his life in New York City. The actual date of his death is unknown, most sources saying 1963 (which is most likely correct), although some individuals claim that they commissioned him to do portraits well into the 1980s. The details of his life are obscure, with no sure sources, but most seem to agree that he painted for the Czar in Moscow before the Russian Revolution. As a young man, he was also said to have been a ballet dancer (which may account for some of his most known work being of ballerinas), and a professional violinist. During the beginning of his painting career, he focused on abstract art. However, through appreciation for works from the old school of painting, he started painting with more realism. He was a very versatile artist, and could paint any given subject with incredible detail. He painted all over the world, particularly in cities with renowned ballets, such as Paris, Moscow, and Berlin. His most famous work was "Free as the Wind", a painting depicting running horses. There are believed to be only 5 of these original "Free as the Wind" paintings in existence. He is also known for his ballerina paintings. One of his lesser known works was of Merike Sheinkin as a child, and he also painted a scene called "Ocean Views" depicting two small boats on a rocky beach. It is uncertain what his real name was, but he would often sign paintings as "Rod Palmer" or "A. Curtis" in addition to simply "Albo". | |

| Search | Add | 12 | Taras Bullba | TARAS BULLBA | punkrock / skatepunk band Plzeň, Czech republic active since 2001 when split bands STÁDO MIKROBÚ and TARAS BUL´BA (also recorded a demo). Then renamed to TARASOVI MIKROBY (played first show after this name and recorded a demo). First line-up: BACHI DEJV PALMÍK TEREZ GARGI VENCA. In this combo they played first classic 9 shows. Then VENCA quit. And Classic formation then is till 2005 BACHI - songwritting, guitar, vocals, PALMÍK - drums, rehearsal room keeper, DEJV - guitar, archivist and graphics, TEREZ - bass. A guy named DOKTOR was since 2004 till 2005 around to help play bass when TEREZ can´t or had other things to do towards liberation. In 2006 band started to work on a program to a fourth album with a new bassplayer SMETÁK who easily became our friend and stabile member. In 2007 DEJV quits a band and starts his own emo-screamo band. Shortly, there played a guitarist BAXX, who also quits after recording session for Portraits of false authority Then starts a second classic era in three. There is alson to mention that our band member SMETAK made realize our improvised DIY studio, so we are since fifth record fully autonomous. However these proclamation seems vague in these times (2022), in year 2011 was situation different. After releasing a sixth album Nostalgie band goes on a short tour to Izrael, where organizer VATI also wanted to play with us (both sides) and after that tour flought from that country to became our stabile guitarist and also on few vocals. It took a long time to release seventh record 7ALUTE MACHINA, on which he has also his own song, and that´s first exception in whole twenty years when is on TARAS BULLBA material someone else than BACHi who sings the whole song. Despite the fact that we played some big shows outta punk-rock community, our home is in diy shows that are free and mere personal. |

Like many of the old orchestras from Europe: "THE POPOVICH BROTHERS OF SOUTH CHICAGO is a portrait of a family of musicians in the heart of the Serbian-American community of South Chicago, and especially, the five Popovich brothers who made up the most famous and well loved tamburitza ensemble in the U.S. The film demonstrates the powerful role music plays in Serbian communities, the loving force it exerts on all members there and the tension that could unravel the cohesiveness of these communities when second and third generation, college-educated Serbians opt for professional lives in other cities. The film also chronicles some difficult developments in the life of these musicians who have been playing together since 1926, when their mother sent them off as children on a tour to play for the isolated Serbian mining and steel mill communities of the West and Midwest.". |

| Search | Add | 12 | Otto Von Lebensraum | A musician since 2002 (A6attoir A66ot [grindcore], Karnivorkian [doomcore]) , Otto took a break from music in 2004 to focus on work and family. Inspired by the 2015 political climate and a new resurgence in 'fashy' music from that same period, he began experimenting with different styles of electronic music (with inspiration from Kraftwerk and YMO to Xurious and Cybernazi) thru 2017. Over the next 2 years he built a large library of custom sound effects and samples; having no access to any modern DAW or music software- he imported those files into an emulated copy of MTV Music Generator 3 (PS2), and made his first track in late 2019 as Teknein: "Die Massen". Not long afterward, he began using MPC and audiotool software- as well as live recordings using an SP-404 (Roland) and vintage keyboard (Korg, Tecnics Workstation) all mastered in Audacity. Before long an album came together (Die Massen), a label created (86 Dresden), and the rest is fashwave history! Otto retired the TEKNEIN project in 2024 to focus on various other personal and professional projects but continues to remain active in the music scene and through the 86 Dresden Records music label. | |

| Search | Add | 12 | Vital Organ Auction | In the 1990s Pastor Oilfield and Marshall Lawlessness discovered they were both outside a Punk / Hardcore show for the same reason: they hated what was happening inside. They got talking further; discovered they both loved Punk, wanted to be in a Punk band; but they wanted to avoid some of its decades-in trappings, avoid sounding too much like any one group, sound, or subgenre. Over the next couple years Vital Organ Auction wrote two EP's; some songs that never got documented yet may one day be; played shows in Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho. Including opening for Fang, as well as pioneering Hardcore Punk Canadian legends D.O.A. A couple years after documenting -The Main Course Is- at Dr. Dendrite's, Marshall Lawlessness and Pastor Oilfield reconnected, this time with the latter on drums, in the genre-defying Kingdoms Falling, which also included Giorgio Archery on guitar, and Oldouz Behzad on vocals. No released documentation as of yet but watch for demos, live, etc. Marshall Lawlessness has also played under the names: Filthy McWhiskey and Wally Homicide. His credits include: Tragic Black, Ashes of Fall, The Homicides, and many more. Giorgio Archery currently jams in Press Gang Union. Pastor Oilfield veered off into performance poetry for a decade. One night in 2015 after work management had decided unannounced to desecrate the break-room with a television, Oilfield walked in on a city-slicker Country Music awards show. He soon declared under his breath: "Someone should throw a fucking brick." Not much later he declared to himself: "Well why don't -you- throw one, tough stuff." So he went home, did his best to summon the spirits of Black Flag and The Birthday Party toward his own, and sketched out "Down the Hatchet". A year or two later he sketched out "Tupperware Twang" to commemorate the moment further. In 2017 Marshall Lawlessness and Giorgio Archery signed on for an album, a single, and maybe more with Vital Organ Auction. A. P. Angry (whose credits include the Red Bennies and Subrosa) got in on the action as drummer and engineer. -Empire Dances with Ashes- and -Serving Crispy Wingers- hit the marketplace in 2018. | |

He grew up in 1960’s Gary, Indiana and was school boy friend’s with Gordon Keith and Ben Brown, so when they stated their own record label, it was no surprise that he signed to them. He had form a group, Robert Lee & The Exquisites and had been playing gigs around the city and on Chicago’s south side which in fact was only 10 miles away over the state line. His one release on the label got some play on local radio stations, but didn’t sell that well. By the early 70’s his talents as a producer had grown and he was often called on by other local groups to work with them. His next move was under the name of Lost Weekend another vocally stylish harmony group, who released on his own Lost Weekend records and one release on the Chicago label U.S.A. He then changed his recording name to General Lee and with his latest group The Space Army Band recorded three more 45’s on his label including the currently popular ‘Pleasure’. He spent another few years touring with this set up before retiring from the business.

By the First World War, Dufton's popularity was widespread in his native Scotland, and he was encouraged to publish a collection of his monologues, Dufton Scott's Sketches which was reprinted several times, even into the 1950s. With the arrival of radio in the 1920s, Dufton Scott quickly became a favourite, hosting such programmes as An Evenin' in the Grieve's Hoose, where his "Braid Scots Stories" would be interspersed with music and song from singers such as John Strachan and Tom Morrison, the latter with whom he collaborated on many musical and dramatic productions on stage, record and radio (in 1921 Scott and Morrison appeared in Mains's Wooin', a comedy drama written by Gavin Greig. As a result of the radio exposure, Scott recorded many of his monologues on 78rpm on the Columbia and Beltona labels. As well as his entertainment career, Scott owned a stationery shop in Inverurie, where he had settled after getting married in 1911.

| Search | Add | 12 | Kyle Pepper | Kyle Pepper | Trance DJ Producer from Plymouth, UK. Kyle Pepper started out mixing at the age of 18, when he was introduced to the skills turntables could be used for by a close friend. Having a passion for music, he practised relentlessly mastering the art of mixing on Vinyl turntables, before progressing into the digital world. Through his teens he drew influence from all types of music, especially the sounds of trance, after discovering it at the well renowned nightclub of the Dance Academy in his hometown of Plymouth, where he heard it on a weekly basis. After supporting and attending many events in his home county, Kyle sent a mix CD he recorded into well established record label and event promoters Liquid Pulse, who booked him for one of their events supporting Mark EG and Lab 4. The promoters were impressed and he was asked to play again on a frequent basis, with all three promoters of the event noting his passion for trance music in the broadest sense. Since then his popularity has soared and Kyle plays various events all around the South of the UK, with brands such as Sequence, Crash Manor Presents, Liquid Pulse, Ignition and many more booking him to play. Kyle's drive doesn't just limit him to playing out in a nightclub, as he is often found in the studio working on original material as well as remakes. |

| Search | Add | 11 | Miles Hunt's Lock Down Demo Society | A collection of songs written, demoed and recorded during the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic lockdown featuring material worked on by Miles Hunt, Luke Johnson and Morgan Nicholls. Miles Hunt stated "Initially I had only started to write and demo songs for a future Vent 414 record. However the band’s mighty powerhouse of a drummer, Pete Howard, is currently unable to record or program drums at his home, which led me to seek the help of Luke Johnson. Luke and I have known each other now for thirty-five years, him being the son of The Wonder Stuff’s first manager, Les Johnson. He is a truly remarkable drummer and has enjoyed an international career behind the kit with a variety of rockin’ bands. He is also something of a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. When not out on the road he is often to be found beavering away creating his own music in his home studio. As luck would have it at the time of my asking Luke to program drums for the new Vent 414 songs he was also sitting on a bunch of instrumental tracks that needed vocals adding to them. I offered my services to write lyrics, find the vocal melodies and add my nasal whine to his tracks. He accepted. So what you will find here are two separate streams of songwriting; the songs that I initiate for the future V414 record and the songs that Luke and I have worked on together for an, as yet, unspecified project." | |
