Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 12 | David K. Pomahač | David Pomahač | Czech singer, composer and multi-instrumentalist David Pomahač is the founder of the well-known urban folk duo [a2833477]. He previously left a footprint on the bands [a2220473], [a2661722], [a1738689]'s backing band, and in the last few years has also accompanied singer-songwriter Ima Teva. In early 2020, he stepped out of the shadows from Kieslowski and embarked on a solo career with the album [r=16586364] (The Darkness is Still Far Away), produced by Tomáš Havlen (Post-hudba, Zvíře jménem podzim, Spomenik, etc.). [r=16586364] ranked in the Top 20 of Radio 1's annual charts, in Full Moon magazine's list of the best records of 2020, in the top ten of Musicserver.cz's best albums of the year, and in Expres FM's selection of the best records of 2020. In April 2022, Pomahač is releasing his second solo album [m=2599649] via the label Minority Records. The co-writer of the music and producer of the record is Martin Hůla (aka Martin Tvrdý or Bonus). The album marks a new approach to writing for Pomahač. This time he did not seek inspiration in his personal life; instead the lyrics are mainly inspired by single sentences from the novels of H.G. Wells, dystopian sci-fi and the stories of those around him, weaving together tales of self-preservation and the will to survive. On the [m=2599649] album, guests include the violinist Jenovéfa Boková, cellist Marie Dorazilová, and David’s son [a2833548], who accompanies him onstage at concerts. The [a2833477] era is not forgotten however; these songs are part of Pomahač's history and are still included at his shows. |

Search | Add | 12 | Phil Nite | Vadim Pytkin (Вадим Пыткин) | Phil Nite (a.k.a. Vadim Pytkin) is the charismatic singer and musician from Kaliningrad, who since 2008 creates expressive and as diverse electronic music as possible, free from any stylistic framework. Expertly and tastefully experimenting with various musical directions, Phil Nite always preserves his own unique signature sound. Phil Nite has been independently creating electronic music using primarily hardware synthesizers Korg (R3; Micro X; microKorg MK1; Kaoss Pad 3) in his home studio. He himself writes lyrics of his songs and sings them live at concerts. Also, Phil Nite fundamentally not uses any auto-tunes for vocal either during concerts or in studio work. For the record: from 2002 through 2008 Phil Nite played drums and sang in various purely guitar groups that used almost no elements of electronic sound. These groups mostly played proto-punk, punk rock, post-punk, post-punk revival. |

Search | Add | 12 | SparkleJet | Fresno, California Sparklejet is the tried and true, all-American rock band. Born in the unlikely agricultural hub of Central California, the Fresno-based group has settled into a stripped-down, power-trio lineup where they find themselves at the height of their ability to convey uncompromising power and urgency. The band bounces effortlessly across the rock landscape, drawing from the likes of past and current heroes including The Replacements, Pixies, Hüsker Dü, The Kinks, Guided By Voices, The Police, Foo Fighters, Devo, Led Zeppelin, and The Who. Speaking of Townshend and the boys, Sparklejet performed its own rendition of The Who's "Tommy" in 2002. Sparklejet's 11-track album, Beyond the Beyond, was released on Los Angeles-based Long Live Crime Records. The trio's earlier releases include 1998's This Year's Model and 2001's Bar Guest. On Beyond the Beyond, Sparklejet strayed from the usual Fresno recording studios and instead worked with Steve Albini (Pixies, Nirvana, PJ Harvey) at his Electrical Audio studio in Chicago. The band's latest recording, 2014's Phonovella, has been released on the Narcissus Records imprint. The 13-track album features the band expanding and refining its approach to the three-piece rock band format. Sparklejet has toured throughout the Northwest, having shared the stage with bands like Kaito, Silversun Pickups, Earlimart, the Mother Hips, Radar Bros., Pine Martin, the High Speed Scene and others. The trio has been featured in Billboard Magazine's Best New Artist spotlight, and their music has been used on ESPN's "Extreme Games." They have not taken a contrived, anti-social punk rock stance or infused their music with any such self-defeating message. Simply put, they don't try to be anything except who they are by nature. No trendy clothes, no fancy haircuts, just rock.

Search | Add | 12 | Kamil P. aka TheInfluence | Kamil Piekutowski | Kamil P, aka The Influence, is a Chicago based techno DJ and producer. Kamil adopted Chicago as his hometown upon relocating from Poland in 1999. As a child, Kamil was always drawn to music. His mother signed him up for piano lessons, which also included the fundamentals of music theory. He knew from an early age that he wanted to be in the music business. Kamil was first exposed to techno in high school, and was hooked. To him, the rhythmic and hypnotic ritual went beyond mere dance music. His teenage years were spent obsessively collecting DJ sets from various artists, listening to how the disparate tracks connect into a larger musical expression. When later music making software became more affordable, Kamil was able to experiment, making his own tracks, trying different combinations of loops and effects. This gave him some understanding of how electronic music is made – especially techno – but nothing yet close to a full production. A few years after moving to Chicago, Kamil got his first set of equipment; a simple mixer and two plastic Gemini turntables. With the help of DJ Liquid (Michael Kolbasky), known for performing at after hours parties throughout the city, he used these simple tools to learn how to DJ. His gear soon upgraded: along with a prodigious record collection, industry standard Technics 1200’s and a Pioneer DJM-700 mixer were now a part of his arsenal. He got his first gigs by promoting his demos, and was playing in clubs around Chicago. As time progressed, so did Kamil’s record collection and skill as a DJ, he realized that playing other people’s music was not enough – he needed to make his own. A local techno artist, DJ Mani (Manish Miglani), introduced him to Ableton Live software, which allowed Kamil to make a finished musical product. In 2007, Kamil’s track Detown Afterhours was selected on Dobox’s compilation Resurgence. This marked his first official release, sharing the compilation with techno icons such as Jerome Baker, Lester Fitzpatrick, and Kit Clayton. After the release of Resurgence, Kamil founded his own label, Drugaci Exhibitions. Along with music from himself, Drugaci Exhibitions is also responsible for the debut releases from DJ Seoul (Bill Stacy), Hansollo (Daniel Noetzel), and Unphixd. Currently, Kamil mainly focuses on production. He has found homes in labels such as SubDivizion, UKR, Mind Burn Recordings, and Right Groove Recordings. His tracks continue to be played by artists such as Lester Fitzpatrick, Terry Mitchell, Daz Furey, and DJ Seoul (among others). From an artistic perspective, Kamil shies away from popular formats of techno, pushing the envelope towards more experimental compositions. |

Search | Add | 12 | Gyrlie | Lydia Madajewski | The Dance project GYRLIE evolved from the basic need to bring sensual melodies to the dance floor. The musical DNA of the creative mind that hides behind the band’s name avor 90’s Euro-Dance rhythms as the backbone for her productions. Lydia Pockaj collected her merits working with genre icons such as E-ROTIC, Missing Heart, Apanachee and Bad Boys Blue. With the catchy tune "I Feel Sun", GYRLIE makes its successful debut in the summer of 2017, rounded out few months later by the bassy "I Feel Sun (REMIXES)" EP. Just in time before the turn of the year, the powerful single "Right Now" is released. The mystic, yet danceable song reminds of good old Euro-Dance times yet carries his own trademark thanks to its playfulness. In May 2018 "Save Me", the third and most rocking single of GYRLIE, is released. Paired with a cool dance-pop beat, "Save me" evokes spring fever on the dance floor and makes you wish for more. Just in time for the Christmas holidays, the label Laydee Records delivers a treat that does not go to the thighs, but makes you wanna dance. With the fourth single "Fantasy", Gyrlie explores the whole spectrum of danceable rhythms and romantic feelings. The result is a song that beams the listener out of the cosy warmth right onto the energetic dance floor. Also 2019 could not end without a GYRLIE release - „Tonight“ -the fifth single- not only incorporates romance and rhythm, but impresses by heart melting lyrics and the warm, yet powerful vocals. In line with the tradition, the sixth single is released in December and is carried by Lydia Pockaj’s soulful voice, while the instruments remain pleasantly discreet in the background. At the same time, the orchestral background gives the song a unique structure that makes “Far Away” perhaps the most classic title in GYRLIE's discography. More GYRLIE releases are expected and the team is also working on the full Album. The release dates are not confirmed yet. |

His large body of work supersedes his contemporaries exponentially in both quantity and quality as dozens of one-to-two hour long collections remain unpublished among his already vast expanse of releases. His electronic based sounds seem to organically transform and grow. Having been compared to peers as avant-garde as Matthewdavid, Venetian Snares and Satanicpornocultshop, it is no wonder his seemingly psychedelic-induced songs reflect better the complexities of a creature than a song itself. Smark may as well be a scientist mixing sounds in place of chemicals, constantly creating and reinventing new species of life. |

He creates music derived from a wide range of influences including ambient, shoegaze, electronic and choral. Jack Anderton began experimenting with loops on computer software before bringing in traditional acoustic instruments and working on a structure influenced by Tangerine Dream to create music coined ‘Ambient Acoustic’. Steadily more electronic elements were introduced, and also more distorted elements which touched on shoegaze. More recently Jack has produced more conventional synth based ambient electronic music still with elements of that formative style- choral vocals, field recordings, acoustic melodies.

In 1951, he shared the Syracuse War Memorial Building stage with Hank Williams, Sr. He has performed and was close friends with [a556260], (whose show he also toured with), the composer of "Tennessee Waltz". He was officially considered to be a pioneer of country music. His name appears as one of the country music artists in the 1969 WWVA Jamboree Tribute Book to Hall of Famers and other special country music legends. He performed regularly with his own show (The Star Maker Show) on the Ernest Tubb Jamboree Radio Show. He was for over twenty years, a disc jockey with his own morning show on WKRT in Cortland, NY. He had four songs on the national charts. His music was distributed and played nationally. He shared the stage with Loretta Lynn, Eddie Arnold, Roy Drusky, Tex Ritter, Wanda Jackson, Sons of the Pioneers (with whom he and my mother did shows with in Florida and elsewhere), Ferlin Husky, Roy Clark, many others. In Cortland, NY, there is a museum that holds many of Tex's musical pieces and special items. He also had his own television show... His recording of "What Love Have I" reached #11 on the charts. Songs do not reach at those numbers without fans purchasing them from more than just the local town the artist came from. Tex Roe's accomplishments with his musical career are many, as are the accolade's from far outside his local residency. These words are from his family, friends and fans from across the world. The great and legendary late [a246644] produced the album, "Fire Shootin' Pony" for Tex on Mark IV Records around 1970 at his studio in Accokeek, MD. The following appears in the bio of that album: "A versatile writer, composer and master of ceremonies, Tex has already had one record in the Top 10 and several on the Most Popular lists. He is best remembered for "Rocketship To The Moon", "John The Baptist" and "Treasure Chest Of Love." All were original compositions, "John The Baptist" being written by Tex's good friend and partner, [a=John Tobin (4)]. |

Search | Add | 11 | Rama Polderman | Rama Polderman (Born March 27th 1924 Magelang, Indonesia - died April 18th 2004 The Hague, The Netherlands), was a doctor, yoga teacher and magician. He was one of the first to bring yoga to The Netherlands from Asia. Polderman started the "Stichting Yoga Nederland" (Dutch Yoga Foundation) in 1957, nowadays better known as "Stichting Yoga en Vedanta". Polderman was the son of a Dutch engineer in the city of Magelang in the province of Mid-Java in Indonesia; his mother died during the delivery. Polderman is named after the king and Hindu god Rama. Polderman's father was practised theosophy. Polderman also claimed to have been a clairvoyant since his childhood. In 1942 he started his studies in medicine on Batavia, but after the Japanese invasion that same year, he and his father were thrown in an internment camp. There he was able to further study medicine through the lessons of other interned professors in medicine and through the practices in the camp hospital. Another prisoner taught him magic and he got in touch with the Vedanta philosophy. After the liberation of Indonesia he left for The Netherlands and during this trip he stayed in Sri Lanka for three months, where a guru told him to spread the Vedanta philosophy and yoga. In The Netherlands he finalized his education in medicine and he started his practice in Bilthoven, The Netherlands in 1952. He also started working for a homoeopathic hospital in Utrecht. With his second wife, the actress and director Kitty Knappert, he started the "Centrum voor Gezondheid en Bezinning" (Center for Health and Reflection) in Baarn, The Netherlands, focusing on oriental medicine and techniques like astrology and tarot. Polderman wrote several books about Hatha yoga, 'do it yourself' books, with an extensive description of the exercises (asanas) and he also produced albums about the subject. As a magician, Polderman won a prize during the Barcelona IX World Championships of FISM in 1964.

Search | Add | 11 | Tsippi Fleischer | Tsippi Fleischer (b. 1946, Israel) -- Composer Tsippi Fleischer was born in Haifa, Israel, in 1946. Her parents, Polish-born Jewish pioneers - Yaacov Fleischer from the city of Krakow and Shoshana, nee Mehl, from the Jewish shtetl Rimanov - met in Palestine. Before Tsippi was born her father's entire family had already perished during the Holocaust. As a three-year-old she was already improvising at the piano. In time she studied piano and theory formally at the Rubin Conservatory of Music, Haifa, and matriculated from Haifa's Reali School in the oriental stream. In 1978, she married the eminent comparative linguist Prof. Aharon Dolgopolsky (1930-2012), who had reached Israel from Moscow during the wave of Russian immigration of the 70s. In 1982 their son Yaacov Dolgopolsky was born; today the young man's interests lie in a combination of the fields of biblical studies, history and theater. In spite of her widespread activities throughout the world, Tsippi has never abandoned her hometown for any other place of residence. She grew up in a Jewish-Arab environment and the ambience of co-existence characterizing the city of Haifa flows naturally into her creative oeuvre. Her academic degrees include: BMus in theory, composition and conducting - the Rubin Academy of Music, Jerusalem; BA in Hebrew Language, Arabic Language, Literature and History of the Middle East - Tel Aviv University; Music Teacher's Diploma - the Levinsky College of Education, Tel Aviv; MA in Music Education - New York University; MA in Semitic Linguistics - Tel Aviv University; PhD in Musicology - Bar Ilan University, Israel. Her doctoral thesis focused on historical research into the origins of Cherubini's Médée and on an in-depth analysis, using a combination of Heinrich Schenker's and Jan LaRue's analytical methods.

Search | Add | 11 | Rita Saenz | Rita Sáenz | Born in Perú. Rita Sàenz, as one of the pioneer girls who sang a new wave in Lima. Chela Rosellò had done it before in 1959, when he recorded the Spanish version of the theme imposed by Doris Day "Que que serà serà". I remember it very well, because it was the first record of 45rpm, which I bought by collecting my tips. It was a recording made by Chela accompanied by the Manolo Avalos Orchestra. Returning to Rita, as you mention was crooner in several orchestras, one of his first singles for Sono Radio was the track "Los Pants". However his career takes on international dimensions, when he secures Gustavo Hit Moreno making the second voice, in the theme that the Puerto Rican Bobby Capò signed "Llorando me dormi". It turns out that Bobby Capò traveled to Argentina, to find a singer who would make him the second voice for his creation "Llorando me dormi", and correctly chose Violeta Rivas, an extraordinary balladist from the early 60's. As both were artists of the Rca Victor label, there was no problem, and they recorded this cheerful rock ballad in May of 1960, they were accompanied by the Argentine quartet denominated Los 4 of Luxury. The album was a great success in all Latin America, for the quality of its famous interpreters. Seeing such success, the teacher Enrique Lynch suggests to Gustavo and Rita, so that they join their voices and make a cover of that song that was imposed everywhere. So they did, the 45rpm single came out at the beginning of 1961, and it tasted so much that it competed seriously with the original version, and here in Lima, the album was sold as hot bread, since from those moments entered the fame through The radio, the discs, and the television. Rita must still keep that fine voice that made her so popular in those golden years 60 ' |

He is the first visual artist to integrate manga culture in rap music by collaborating with many world-renowned rappers in Japan and USA. Tuân now works for a video game company as well as an animation studio, and continues to be involved in several (music) projects in the USA and Japan. Search | Add | 11 | Disco Or Die! | Tony Postigo | Disco or Die! is the new project managed by the legendary DJ/producer Tony Postigo. His philosophy is to rescue all those old forgotten 70s & 80s songs to give them a second life through a 21st century energetic sound, but heavily influenced by the purest Disco & Funk roots. As Disco Or Die! likes to say, he considers himself some kind of 'music archaeologist', so don't expect to hear the already overused Billie Jean or Earth Wind & Fire samples on some of his productions. It all gets much more original than that :) Do not miss any of the new Disco Or Die! songs that are about to come out! |

Search | Add | 11 | Museleon | Odette Johnson | After 19 years as an electronic musician under another guise ([a=Soundician]), I finally decided to create a project which allows me to break away from some of the conventions that I have used elsewhere. I have been experimenting more with sound and to finally produce my own tracks. I use a range of field recordings, found sounds and hardware with minimal processing as I’ve always been interested in how sound can morph into beautiful complex patterns with the limited use of tech and processing. It’s the ‘small sounds’, anomalies, mistakes and the sounds ‘between’ that catch my ear. Many of the pieces I create are based on images and things I see, which act as a type of graphic score and increasingly I am using one field recording solely as the basis for the track I am creating, referring to my music as Sound Pictures. The majority of the music is created to be listened via headphones to get the full effect. [a=Odette Johnson] writes music and plays instruments, including keyboards, synths and samplers. |
