Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 12 | Caroline Schub | Caroline Schub is a multi-media artist [b.1990] from the Hudson Valley, New York. After years of living with chronic illness starting from childhood, she began documenting herself as a form of self-preservation and survival. Her work is an unauthorized public record of a chronic illness. These portraits have been created using different mediums and exist in varying scales while pushing through vacillating emotional filters of rage and fear. Caroline’s understanding of her body's capacity for degeneration forms the double-edged sword that inspires her work. Her method of image creation has more in common with the labor of construction work than with the weaving of dreams. [Quoted from her homepage]

Search | Add | 12 | Lushys | Corey MacDonald | First djing at some of the most memorable events of the early 2000's in Ottawa, Ontario. Corey MacDonald started off promoting raves under the UnderGround Soundz Moniker. Moving forward his early style was a blend of Breakbeat Hardcore and Happy Hardcore similar to the early KFA sound and old skool revival of the late 90s/early 00s. As time pushed forward he started a family of labels under the 613Massive Collective, pushing releases from House/Electro, Breaks, Dubstep, Trance, NRG, Hard House and Drum n Bass. Now releasing under the 5me-OH! and LS1 alias, the Lushys name will be retired sometime in early 2011 with a release of 11 years of Lushys. Including early productions, and the track that launched him into international recognition (You and I - Lushys Remix). Corey MacDonald is currently working on a 12 track Album to be released mid 2011 under the 5me-OH! alias on Sugar Daddy Records which recently charted in the top 10 on TID with the release "Anthem for The Chemical Generation". |

Search | Add | 12 | Dufton Scott | Dufton Scott (1880-1944) was born at Forgue in Aberdeenshire in 1880 and started his working life as an ironmonger in nearby Huntly, and soon afterwards in Aberdeen itself. His ambition to become a professional entertainer led him to join George Walker's touring party, performing his own monolgues in a broad mid-Aberdeenshire accent. In these tours he often performed on the same bill as the fiddlers James Scott Skinner and Mackenzie Murdoch. By the First World War, Dufton's popularity was widespread in his native Scotland, and he was encouraged to publish a collection of his monologues, Dufton Scott's Sketches which was reprinted several times, even into the 1950s. With the arrival of radio in the 1920s, Dufton Scott quickly became a favourite, hosting such programmes as An Evenin' in the Grieve's Hoose, where his "Braid Scots Stories" would be interspersed with music and song from singers such as John Strachan and Tom Morrison, the latter with whom he collaborated on many musical and dramatic productions on stage, record and radio (in 1921 Scott and Morrison appeared in Mains's Wooin', a comedy drama written by Gavin Greig. As a result of the radio exposure, Scott recorded many of his monologues on 78rpm on the Columbia and Beltona labels. As well as his entertainment career, Scott owned a stationery shop in Inverurie, where he had settled after getting married in 1911.

Search | Add | 12 | The Popovich Brothers Tamburitza Orchestra | The Popovich Brothers Tamburitza Orchestra | The Popovich Brothers Tamburitza Orchestra : is a family tamburtza orchestra" comprised of brothers, sisters, parents and their children, or even whole extended families. Like many of the old orchestras from Europe: "THE POPOVICH BROTHERS OF SOUTH CHICAGO is a portrait of a family of musicians in the heart of the Serbian-American community of South Chicago, and especially, the five Popovich brothers who made up the most famous and well loved tamburitza ensemble in the U.S. The film demonstrates the powerful role music plays in Serbian communities, the loving force it exerts on all members there and the tension that could unravel the cohesiveness of these communities when second and third generation, college-educated Serbians opt for professional lives in other cities. The film also chronicles some difficult developments in the life of these musicians who have been playing together since 1926, when their mother sent them off as children on a tour to play for the isolated Serbian mining and steel mill communities of the West and Midwest.". |

Search | Add | 12 | Systemhure | SystemHure (German expression, roughly tranlatable as: "The System's Whore"), is a private electronic-music project from Germany, working closely with "Muzak For Cages". The style is experimental, combined with surreal spoken word passages, that can lead the listener into a psychedelic whirl. Their nickname among colleagues is "the fearless", because of the topics they explore on their releases, that explicitly offer ideas that some listeners might consider as "far off the road". It is part of SystemHure's concept, to poste the music for free on various websites as single files or complete albums.

Search | Add | 12 | Vital Organ Auction | In the 1990s Pastor Oilfield and Marshall Lawlessness discovered they were both outside a Punk / Hardcore show for the same reason: they hated what was happening inside. They got talking further; discovered they both loved Punk, wanted to be in a Punk band; but they wanted to avoid some of its decades-in trappings, avoid sounding too much like any one group, sound, or subgenre. Over the next couple years Vital Organ Auction wrote two EP's; some songs that never got documented yet may one day be; played shows in Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho. Including opening for Fang, as well as pioneering Hardcore Punk Canadian legends D.O.A. A couple years after documenting -The Main Course Is- at Dr. Dendrite's, Marshall Lawlessness and Pastor Oilfield reconnected, this time with the latter on drums, in the genre-defying Kingdoms Falling, which also included Giorgio Archery on guitar, and Oldouz Behzad on vocals. No released documentation as of yet but watch for demos, live, etc. Marshall Lawlessness has also played under the names: Filthy McWhiskey and Wally Homicide. His credits include: Tragic Black, Ashes of Fall, The Homicides, and many more. Giorgio Archery currently jams in Press Gang Union. Pastor Oilfield veered off into performance poetry for a decade. One night in 2015 after work management had decided unannounced to desecrate the break-room with a television, Oilfield walked in on a city-slicker Country Music awards show. He soon declared under his breath: "Someone should throw a fucking brick." Not much later he declared to himself: "Well why don't -you- throw one, tough stuff." So he went home, did his best to summon the spirits of Black Flag and The Birthday Party toward his own, and sketched out "Down the Hatchet". A year or two later he sketched out "Tupperware Twang" to commemorate the moment further. In 2017 Marshall Lawlessness and Giorgio Archery signed on for an album, a single, and maybe more with Vital Organ Auction. A. P. Angry (whose credits include the Red Bennies and Subrosa) got in on the action as drummer and engineer. -Empire Dances with Ashes- and -Serving Crispy Wingers- hit the marketplace in 2018.

Together with a long-time musical acquaintance, Lars Wessel, he went on to create the foundations of the band. The first groundwork had been laid when Rhea Logan joined the band in March 2011 as a vocalist, composer and the author of lyrics. In late 2011, during the process of working on the band's first material, the concept for Revolution Unfolding was born. Set on that course, the band focused on writing, composing and arranging the new songs for the next several months, concluding in April 2012 with the recording of vocals in the Silent Wings Studio in Oer-Erkenschwick, Germany. During that time, Alex von Uchtrup joined the band forces with his bass guitar.

Search | Add | 12 | Philippine Brass Band | Philippine culture is a combination of Eastern and Western cultures. The Philippines exhibits aspects found in other Asian countries with a Malay heritage, yet its culture also displays a significant amount of Spanish and American influences. Traditional festivities known as barrio fiestas (district festivals) to commemorate the feast days of patron saints are common. The Moriones Festival and Sinulog Festival are a couple of the most well-known. These community celebrations are times for feasting, music, and dancing. Some traditions, however, are changing or gradually being forgotten due to modernization. The Bayanihan Philippine National Folk Dance Company has been lauded for preserving many of the various traditional folk dances found throughout the Philippines. They are famed for their iconic performances of Philippine dances such as the tinikling and singkil that both feature the use of clashing bamboo poles. In these fiestas and festivals various bands and ensemble play the Brass Band Instruments- the tuba, xylophone, saxophone, clarinet and oboe. The sheet above issued in 2001 features these instruments. Search | Add | 11 | The "JFK" Quintet | In early 1960, Cannonball Adderley discovered five musicians in Washington, D.C.—the J.F.K. Quintet, named in honor of the newly elected John F. Kennedy and his ambition to change the status quo nationwide for blacks and the arts. In July 1961, six months after the inauguration, Adderley brought the group to New York's Plaza Sound Studios and produced their first Riverside album. The J.F.K. Quintet was comprised of Ray Codrington (tp), Andrew White (as), Harry Killgo (p), Walter Booker, Jr. (b) and Carl "Mickey' Newman (d). The result was the J.F.K. Quintet: New Jazz Frontiers From Washington. A second album was recorded in December '61 entitled Young Ideas The band dissolved in 1963, with White moving on to become a primary transcriber of John Coltrane's solos, Codrington recorded with Eddie Harris, and Booker became Adderley's bassist. White, who's still on the scene today, played alto and tenor saxophones with incredible energy, plus electric bass with the Fifth Dimension and Stevie Wonder, and classical oboe (which he holds at the top of this post). Once a year in Washington, D.C., he would book two rhythm sections and play a 12-hour jazz quartet gig at a club called the Top O' Foolery. And Harry Killgo was the father of Keith Killgo, the drummer with Donald Byrd and the Blackbyrds.

He began performing regularly when he moved to Southern Mississippi in 2004. Returning to his hometown of Baltimore, MD, in 2007, he started JMB, recorded two full-length award-winning albums and toured the Mid-Atlantic from NY to VA until 2012. In 2013, John moved to California to pursue an MFA in Creative Writing. He recently settled in the Bay Area where he recorded Halfway Home, his second EP of 2015. He then formed the newgrass group, Broken Barrels and released their debut album, A Little off the Top, in 2016. Seeking a balance of melody, groove and message, John has published more than forty songs since his 2009 debut, which was praised by Billboard, Relix, Glide, Big Takeover Magazine and others for its songwriting and musicianship. Honing a lyrical folk-rock aesthetic that has come to define his sound, John draws from an Americana tradition shared by artists like Ryan Adams, Tom Petty, Gram Parsons, John Fogerty and Dr. John. His songs have played on non-com radio stations across the country and in Europe. They have also appeared on film and TV in the U.S. and abroad and received praise from top music blogs.
