Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 9 | Wendy Grondzil | Wendy Grondzil | Wendy Grondzil began her musical explorations at age 7; sacred and classical music played a very significant role in Wendy’s family life as she grew up. Wendy studied piano, and violoncello through the Royal Conservatory of Music in Canada; in addition, she played the pipe organ for many years. Wendy was born in Cape Town, South Africa: her ethnic heritage draws its roots from Wales, Scotland, and Africa. It is no surprise then, that Wendy’s first explorations into the world of digital music were influenced by choral music, Gregorian chant, string ensembles, electric guitar, and voices from around the world. Wendy uses a digital piano, synthesizer, and her computer to create world beats with electronic, acoustic, orchestral and choral touches, all from the comfort of her own living room. Wendy’s persistence in the World Music genre led to her receiving second prize in the World Music category of Unisong’s 2001 International Songwriting Competition. |

Search | Add | 9 | Plague Rat | PLAGUE RAT is a Dark Synth artist based in Arcata, California, US. PLAGUE RAT blends elements of the Occult and Electronic music. "Beyond the blasted mountain peaks of the Mountains Of Metal. Beyond the endless Seas of Kourg. Picking through the ruins of the once great ancient cities of the Neon Lords stalks a mysterious being. He is the sole servant of sickness. Called the PLAGUE RAT, he scurries among the Sonic Kingdoms leaving nothing but death behind him in his endless travels. Those who hear the siren's song of the PLAGUE RAT are at least offered the panacea of facing oblivion, after experiencing the true excess life can offer. Giving in to every whim... every hunger and every desire fulfilled. Will you join the choir of the hedonistic dead? Will you add your final death rattle to his eternal choir? One can never know for certain when his time will end. At least your demise may be in the presence of one who knows death so intimately as to make the introduction shared between old friends."

Search | Add | 9 | John Luttrell | John Luttrell | John Luttrell is a composer, producer, singer-songwriter, and performer. His music spans genres including solo works on guitar and piano, ambient and progressive rock, as well as scores for media and films. A true "citizen of the world" John was born in Venezuela in 1957 where he lived until his family moved to the US, the first of many cultural influences that appear in his music. Luttrell began his musical journey playing piano when his family moved from the US to Tripoli, Libya. After a few disappointing lessons, self-inspired, John played by ear, teaching himself piano and mandolin. In the 70s the influence of Jimi Hendrix, Carlos Santana, and finally Led Zeppelin fueled John's desire to get his first guitar. His family relocated to Lagos, Nigeria where he was influenced by the Afrobeat rhythms of musicians like King Sunny Ade, which you can hear in his compositions today (Earth Dance). At 14, he attended The American School in Switzerland which became his opportunity test his wings. During the years there he jammed with roommate and future bandmate, Dave Veirs (Interstellar Dust) and became immersed in the music of progressive rock groups such as Yes, ELP, Pink Floyd, Genesis, The Moody Blues, and Mike Oldfield. At the height of the 70s British rock explosion John moved to London and joined a band called Chillum, playing both guitar and organ. Luttrell went from London to Phoenix, Arizona where he studied electronics engineering, to explore his interest in synthesizers and electronic music. In the 80s John played guitar and sang in the Los Angeles-based prog rock trio Helios with boarding school friend Dave Veirs on keyboard and guitar, and Tony Betino on drums, playing numerous gigs in the LA area. John established his own indie label "OtterSong Records" and production company “BasisMedia Communication” in Southern California in the 90's while playing numerous gigs around LA. 2000 saw the release of Underwater Flying Lessons, which was primarily new age piano, with guitar and ambient textures. This was followed up by A Sense of Impending Levitation, which gained popularity with the track “Journey to Farpoint” on college radio stations, especially KSBR in Mission Viejo, California, on the Morning Breeze with host Donna Jo “DJ” Thornton. John was a regular on KSBR’s Morning Breeze Cruise on the Ocean Institute’s Sea Explorer in Dana Point, California, playing his music live on the open sea to dolphins, whales, enthralling the lucky listeners aboard. During this time, he performed at other venues in Southern California, often collaborating with artists such as Dov, Kori Linae Carothers, Jeff Oster and others. In 2005 John collaborated with Russian composer Alex Tiuniaev on the ambient rock project Garden Hose Universe, releasing the EP Falling. In 2007 Luttrell released The Corridors of Time, which originated as the score for the short film The Box, by Steve Deeble, eventually became an official album release. The 2014 release from John is The Dream Exchange, which features John prominently on guitar with acoustic and electric ambient instrumental tracks that follow the theme of the album – the exchange of dreams. The pronunciation of Luttrell is LUTtrell (British) rather than lutTRELL (French). The accent is on LUT, which rhymes with "NUT" and ends the same as "electrical". |

Search | Add | 9 | Pervis Lee | Pervis Lee was a popular singer and performer from Charlotte, North Carolina. Lee got his start in the early 60s playing country clubs and private parties, eventually recording two albums, the self-released Himself in 1970 and Leeway some time later (exact release date is unknown) for the Snyder Album Co. out of Winston Salem, NC. Both albums are showcases for the wide range of musical styles Lee performed (folk, rock, R&B, gospel, standards, and even calypso) and his choice of material gives a strong sense that Lee was as much an entertainer as he was a recording artist. Pervis Lee continued to perform around Charlotte in the decades that followed. He retired from his day job as a chauffeur in 1994 and performed live music as late as 2001. He passed away on July 4th 2015 at the age of 81.

Search | Add | 9 | Roberto Carlotto | Roberto Carlotto | Keyboardist Roberto Carlotto from Varese, whose nickname was [a992789], began playing since his childhood, though his musical career was seriously compromised by an aircraft accident that caused him some heavy injuries. His beginnings as a professional musician took him to play in England, Germany and Switzerland, where he even had the chance of supporting such artists like [a11012] and [a97325]. In Italy he had previously played with Big 66, [a1926928] and later with [a859844] in [a2076184], in 1970, before entering a solo career starting with a single in 1971. As a solo artist, Carlotto was easily recognised by his very good technical quality and the high level of his equipment, that included an incredible number of different keyboards and even the early examples of tape drum machines. His only solo album, Dedicato a Giovanna G., with his outrageous cover, is a soft-prog album, obviously dominated by Hunka's keyboards (especially his self-customized Hammond organ) and odd tremolo voice resembling Demis Roussos or Bee Gees. Among the backing musicians were drummer [a3181194] from [a1214435] and guitarist Ivan Graziani, that had also played in Anonima Sound before leaving for a successful solo career. The album contains 11 short tracks, two of which also released on single, mostly in a pop style and sometimes marred by orchestral and backing singers arrangements, like in Io canterò per te. Anyway it contains some nice moments for prog fans, like Cattedrali di Bambu' or Ruote e sogni, the album's longest track with very good organ playing. In the 1973 Carlotto Join in the band [a583578] to replace former keyboards player Mario Totaro, with drummer [a1438006] . He recorded many singles and the album ''Volando' wrote the song ''Piccola Mia'' and sing the song ''Io te vurria' vasa'''' He has also released an electronic album in 1984, Promise of love (Atlantide AMX 12003), under the name [a511333]. and different Electronic Music Singles (as Karl Otto) After the Ivan Graziani Death in the 90s Roberto's refound the hunka munka band with the keyboards player [a=Joey Mauro]. After 30 years, a released the new album ''foreste interstellari' (Start to recorded in the 90s and releseaed in 2021) In 2011 Roberto Carlotto joined the reformed [a788246] and is still playing with them. |

Search | Add | 9 | Alex Eisenring | Alex Roger Eisenring Castro | Mexican musician, composer, audio engineer and record producer. A pioneer in rock, prog rock, avant-garde, techno, electronic, soundtrack, and experimental music in Mexico. He started playing covers with a band called [i]La Marioneta Eléctrica[/i] which then in 1973 became a trio, [a7547606], influenced by free jazz, progressive rock and experimental music, with [a7547605] (drums), [a7547627] (bass) and Alex Eisenring (piano, guitar) as the founding members. The band had many different line-ups and instruments, even having up to 13 musicians at the same time. Alex was eager to adopt an electronic style for the band however his partners disagreed, that's why in the same night of 1981, [i]Queso Sagrado[/i] was being dissolved giving its last live show while [a1109492] was being formed by him along with [a4325278] and [a4325277], performing its first live show. Allegedly [m1577327] was the first techno music ever made in Mexico. Around this time, by seeing the inaction of major labels around indie Mexican rock projects, Alex felt motivated to intervene more as a producer to help promoting the underground music scene, that's how he started out some collaborations with [a595604], [a3739126], [a2323291], [a4568664], [a3738097] and [a204112], among others. Due to this lack of economic support, there was a multidisciplinary collaboration of different artists with their different projects not only with music, for example many musicians did also design, production, illustration, photography or typography for other colleague bands and artists, making very interesting concepts of musical styles and influences, art, culture and multimedia. In 1985, upon the disbandment of [i]Syntoma[/i], he also began to learn computer programming and building, mainly as a job, but with the aim of having a high-tech recording studio of his own and as a perhaps cheaper way to obtain a [i]Synclavier[/i] or a [i]Fairlight CMI[/i]: homemade. He began then to work as an engineer out of necessity, as there were no engineers specialized in experimental and electronic styles. In 1992 the first digital recording (with no tapes) in Mexico was being made in his home studio by his project [a4352070], co-founded by Alex with [a2185680] and [a724995]. In 2010, after being around twenty years inactive, just working in 3D animation, video editing and graphic design, he was invited by [a896838] and [a1272488] to collaborate with [a204112]. By 2012 they were performing for [a2608026] short films live projections as well as other silent short films from surreal cinema movement. In his most recent projects he co-founded, with [a233176] after his return to Mexico from being in NYC around thirty years, [a963983] and [a5658993]. |

Search | Add | 9 | EN2ORPHINE | Gaetan Nelias | French Electronic artist born in 1982. A&R of RED REC & Team Label CDT. EN2ORPHINE: Curious insatiable and eternally passionate, En2orphine never does things like everyone else. First attached body and soul to the Bordeaux rock scene, he later falls in love with electronic music at the dawn of the 2000s at parties organized by the atypical club Space Opera. It was these two love at first sight that motivated her determination and her endless involvement in music. He started with the production, which led him to present live acts with 69db, Lenny D, McOutis, DJ Volta, Hilight Tribe and DJamency, and gradually became part of the mix universe. At the same time, he ventured into rock-fusion with his group "Churchill" and engaged in electro-jazz and world music collaborations, wherever his characteristic open-mindedness could lead him. His meeting with young WestSound Brestois marks a turning point for him. After a year of exchanges, they offer him the opportunity to mix alongside Dax J. It is then that the hyperactive he is decided to crack on Rennes thus participating in the creation of REDEMPTION. More than just a collective responsible for organizing parties, he is at the origin of a series of podcasts called REDCAST and a label called RED REC in which En2orphine plays a very active role. More recently, he joined the staff of the "La Chinerie" community as an administrator for his techno CDT branch. Preferring shade and mystery, he strives to discover as much pearls as possible in order to study them and then assemble them to form auditory frescoes. Moreover, his selections are more to be seen as mosaics or patchworks as the focus is on diversity and polychrome. Various atmospheres mix and even create original bridges between musical genres in order to question certain boundaries between them and to surprise the listener. Whether the atmosphere is cold and distressing or warm and reassuring, En2orphine finds itself there, adapts and mixes like a chameleon, its eclectic foolproof constituting its greatest strength. |

Search | Add | 9 | Helaku | Once upon a time a child was born. He was a kind, loving child always wearing a smile. All over people were amazed at how relaxed and positive someone can be. But when he was on the steps of growing up he found an apple, which everyone said he shouldn’t bite. He was also inquisitive and curious, so he had to taste it. The apple was so sweet, that it made him do foul things for a long time. After years of adventures, wondering and rebelling he found himself stuck suffering at the flames of hell (sink). Most of his friends were ruined or dead. The apple wasn’t so good anymore and he was lost like a snowman in Jamaica. But then one day he got pieces of paper which he ate. It was no normal paper, for it was magical mind altering paper. He had tasted it before, but only had small glimpses of the universe and how it worked. This time it was different, for he had learnt enough during his travels to step further forward. An ancient wise spirit of an indian appeared from the sun. It put a hand on the child’s head and said: “Rise dear child. For you have a destiny to fulfill.” The child was amazed and couldn’t say anything. The indian continued: “I will resurrect you from here to a new dawn, but you must promise me something.” The child nodded his head on agreement. “First you will move where you humans belong, in the middle of nature.” it said. “Second, you will plant shaman seeds for all mankind with love, kindness, knowledge and rhythms.” The child answered: “I will do what you say, please get me out of this misery.” The indian had a sad look: “No, Helaku. You will find your own way out of it, I’m here only to give you a new chance, a new beginning.” The child tried to talk “but how can I…”, but the indian interrupted. “You will find the answers if you just follow what the king, the sun tells you. Follow your instincts, love the world and the universe. It will show you the way. Be true to yourself and others.” “I will do that, I promise.” the boy muttered. “Then there is the third part of trinity which you must fulfill to succeed. It’s probably the most important thing. You must find your soul mate. Together you will rise to new heights of being, which will give you the biggest cosmic energy there is. And with the power of that energy you will be able to do amazing things and help the whole planet. It needs your help.” “True love?” the boy asked. The indian smiled: “Yes my son, you have knowledge of it already. Now you just have to dare.” “But how can I trust anyone after all these heartbreaks and sneaky women I’ve met?” The boy said. “Get a grip of yourself, you will know when the time is right. It will come if you just follow the sun.” The boy nodded. “I will give you new life and you will be reborn. And you will grow beautiful new life all over the universe. Now rise, Helaku my son.” There was a bright flash of the clearest white light there is and it bathed on the boy and the indian disappeared. And so the boy was reborn as Helaku, which is an indian name meaning full of sun. The rest is future or his-tory, possibly her-story, which you will learn some day. Be kind, be love. Be metta. Love life and it will love you back.

Search | Add | 9 | Trrmà | [b]Trrmà[/b] is an Italian experimental duo based in Bari, Italy, and founded in July 2015 by Giovanni Todisco (percussion) and Giuseppe Candiano (modular synthesizers). TRRMÀ incorporates several distinct motives in their unconventional sound, such as traditional [i]afrikaans[/i] tribal polyrhythms, elements of Mediterranean and classical percussion. The artists also often use [i]stochastic system of composition[/i]—a mathematical approach invented by a Greek composer [a32202] in the early 1950s. The band's first two albums were both eponymous: a limited-edition [r=8462007] LP, self-released in May 2016, and [r=11939094] CD which came out in June 2018 on an Italian independent label [url=https://www.discogs.com/label/108277]Auand Records[/url]. This second release, mastered by [a=Rashad Becker] at D+M Berlin, featured slightly more refined production and polished sound. In February of 2019, to coincide with their first Japan tour, TRRMÀ released a third album, [r=14904740]. Limited edition CD came in a handmade silkscreened cover with Japanese liner notes. The band also collaborated with a renowned American avant-garde composer and pianist [a=Charlemagne Palestine]. In November 2018, he performed at the 33rd edition of [i]Times Zones Festival[/i] in Bari. Times Zones is one of the oldest Italian music festivals, held in Trrmà's hometown annually since 1986. Giovanni and Giuseppe, both Palestine admirers, asked organizers to put them in touch with the eccentric composer. Eventually, they recorded two sessions, fusing together TRRMÀ's stochastic compositions and Palestine's "bombastic" piano and electronics. The limited-edition [r=14339206] LP was released in Oct 2019 on a French label [l=Be Coq]. In May 2020, a Brooklyn-based [l=577 Records] released TRRMÀ's latest album, recorded back in October 2019 at [l1035914] in Terlizzi, and again mastered by Becker at D&M.
