These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

| Search | Add | 3 | Grim County Coroners | Dom Kreep | the story so far... The birth of The Grim County Coroners 4th. November. 2014 I was looking for something. Something hard to find because, well, I wasn't sure what it was to begin with... Somewhere between dead sounds, red dead redemption and the long, dark tunnel that led up to the last Kreeps album proper, "Spirit Clinic", I'd stopped having fun, and when you're an artist sometimes finding enjoyment in your creativity is all you have. things were developing well with Kreeps and all the signature sounds were still intact - but something was missing. i needed a way to tap directly back into the source of my love for dark surf and experimental soundtrack music - essentially where Kreeps began. a psychic feedback loop if you will. The Grim County Coroners had to be born. Between the records mentioned above is where most of the coroners material was written and recorded - an attempt to stitch together surf, rockabilly and jump blues with lurching, experimental, early-synth soundtracks - but after the stresses surrounding the release of "Spirit Clinic" I soon decided to take a break from music to regroup and concentrate on other things, and The Coroners project was largely forgotten about. Until now... When the dust settled I relocated and began to frequent Scarecrow Video in Seattle, which pulled me back into that crazy world of sound and vision all over again. anyone that's been to Scarecrow knows it's an overwhelming archive of incredible cinema. Suddenly I was reconnected with all those trashy and psychedelic horrors and thrillers I was so influenced by when I started Kreeps. I suddenly had access to films I'd never had an opportunity to see and some films I'd never even heard about. I loved everything about them. The cinematography, the crazy dialogue, the often nonsensical plots, and of course the soundtracks. several sparks were reignited during my trash cinema orgy - and I started thinking about The Coroners again. Meanwhile, Bob Nixon (Kreeps visual designer extraordinaire) had been getting into producing sculpted toys of his cartoon characters (see 'The Unfortunates') and this led to us talking about old board game designs we'd liked and that he'd really like to produce one some day. We came up with the concept of a 60's style spooky board game with accompanying music to play along to, but it was very much a dream at that point. 'The Curse Of Grim County' is set to be released as a series of limited vinyl records to form a mini album to accompany the board game. |

The first official album "Maladivine" was self-produced in late 2007. Thanks to the Myspace network, Maladivine drew the attention of various reviewers from webzines and fanzines (Obsküre, Brokendolls, Sentinels of Time, Mick Mercer Live Journal...). "Au Mont des Soupirs", released in early 2011, is a 14-track voyage within imaginary landscapes, personal dreams, melancholic memories... Produced by the french label Frozen Wing records, this album kept drawing attention of reviewers : it was selected among the top-thirty albums in 2011 by the english famous author and radio animator Mick Mercer, reviewed by the US website Heathen Harvest (rating 5/5) and in quite a few magazines and webzines in France, Europe and further. After two appearances in french compilations (in particular "D'Eux" from Fatal Object), a new album, "La Vie est Ailleurs", is released in spring 2015. This self-produced album has again received favorable reviews and interviews, especially from the well-known Obsküre magazine, the main french reference in dark music and culture (rating 76 % and selected as "independent of the trimester" in september 2015). Tuvo un contrato con DIDECA por 1994-5 y sacó un KCT y LP (malentendidos con DIDECA no invirtieron en el formato CD) titulado Desde Cero el cual contiene 9 temas en español compuestos por la banda. Grabado en AudioTrack durante 1994 y pagado por la banda misma con el afán de sacar un material de más alta calidad que el que su pudiera haber grabado con el equipo y personal de DIDECA. Por falta de apoyo de la disquera, y sobretodo por el apoyo NULO de las radios chapinas de la época, la banda no logró difundir su música. La banda tuvo que continuar balanceando sus conciertos con Covers, mismas que gozaban del agrado público pero que realmente no hacían crecer a la agrupación cuyo objetivo era contribuír a la escena guatemalteca con el mejor hard rock original y en español que pudieran ofrecer. Abrieron varios conciertos para artistas internacionales como Miguel Mateos, Snap, Marta Sánchez y quizá mayormente recordados por su apertura al concierto de Maná en la Plaza de Toros 1995. El contrato disquero era para 3 discos pero la banda desmotivada disolvió el contrato con DIDECA con el afán de lanzar su 2do disco de manera independiente. Cosa que jamás sucedió y las canciones quedaron literalmente en el tintero: compuestas, escritas y listas para ser grabadas. El grupo se disolvió en 1996 después de 9 años de lucha. Irónicamente, uno o dos años después surgió un auge de apoyo a las bandas nacionales por parte de emisoras como la Fénix, etc. Se convirtieron en populares algunos lugares para tocar como la Bodeguita del Centro. Pero ya cada integrante buscaba re-tomar su vida y el destino de Yttrium fué quedar en el anonimato. La banda estuvo integrada por: Alex Campo-Voz, Jose Roberto Galindo-Bajo, Víctor Fernandez-Gtr y Sergio "Taz" Fernandez-Batería. | |

Baba Tahir (Persian: باباطاهر عریان) or Baba Taher Oryan Hamadani (Persian: باباطاهر عریان همدانی) was an 11th-century Persian dervish poet from Hamadan, Iran who lived during the reign of Tugril of the Seljuk dynasty over Iran. This is almost all that is known of him as he lived a mysterious lifestyle. Although prefix "Baba" (roughly meaning 'The Wise' or 'The Respected') has been thought as part of his name in all known sources, his nickname "Oryan"( meaning 'The Naked' ) did not appear until about 17th-century.The nickname was probably attributed to him because he seemed to lead a very spiritual and stoic lifestyle and thus was figuratively not clothed with worldly and material needs. His poetry is written in the Hamadani dialect of the Persian language. According to L. P. Elwell-Sutton he probably wrote in the Hamadani dialect, adding: "Most traditional sources call it loosely Luri, while the name commonly applied from an early date to verses of this kind, Fahlaviyat, presumably implies that they were thought to be in a language related to the Middle Persian language. Rouben Abrahamian however found a close affinity with the dialect spoken at the present time by the Jews of Hamadan." According to The Cambridge History of Iran, Baba Tahir spoke a certain Persian dialect. |

And will whitney (from Devon) likes to hit things with varying degrees of violence: sometimes suspended gearbox housings but often just a guitar or a keyboard. They come together once or twice a year to play and record as THE SURF MESSENGERS. They've been playing together as this combo for over 10 years now and have an understanding that allows them to improvise creatively in many different set-ups: sometimes as a straight beat combo; sometimes as a experimental cell; but, more often than not, as a combination of these. What you can be sure of is, whatever instrumentation they choose to use, whether it be regular or radical, the resulting music is always interesting, frequently challenging, sometimes darkly humourous and often extremely beautiful. The band is heavily influenced by Celtic music and sea songs that lend themselves to the Whalers' talent for big harmonies, while borrowing freely from other genres, blending in a bit of blues, swing, or Americana/country to suit their style and the event. As singer-songwriters, the Whalers offer original songs, plus tasty selections from the likes of Steve Earle, Tom Waits, Garth Brooks and Van Morrison, with a "Fleetwood Mac meets the Clancy Brothers" feel. Pub favorites, the Whalers, are also regulars at the North Texas Irish Festival and the Austin Celtic Festival, plus the guys, who are former members of the Blarney Brothers (Randy Christian accordion; percussion; Mike Price rhythm guitar; Rodger Harrison bass; Steve Harrison bouzouki, guitar, didgeridoo), are veterans of some of the biggest Celtic festivals in the country, including the Milwaukee Irish Festival and the Boston Sail 2000, as well as Ft. Worth's Main Street Arts Festival, Denton Jazz & Art Festival and other similar civic and cultural events. Mandolin maven and lead guitarist, Marj Troyer, is a roadhouse rock refugee and adds a perfect 5th to the Whaler's harmony. Proving the Whalers' sound isn't just for pubs and Irish festivals, they are featured at special events of varying types, including the Lightcatcher Winery in west Ft. Worth where they can be heard throughout the year at their Christmas Toys for Tots show, the July 4th Bash, St. Patrick's Day Bacchanalia and the annual Crush Day/Lucy Dance, that grows every year and showcases the band's versatility. | |
