Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Rev Charles Miles | Guitarist born in Meridian, Mississippi, the grandson of a pastor. He played guitar from an early age, leading to steady work in nightclubs around Meridian and an invitation to join an Ernest Tubb performance. The death of his daughter and near-death of his wife in an auto accident after a gig led him to "give his heart to God unreservedly" and start playing only Gospel music and to preach and pastor ("from honky tonk to pulpit" as described on the liner of his album). He lived in Jackson, MS, was pastor of Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness Church, and recorded in Jackson, Baton Rouge, LA, and in Memphis, TN. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Noussommes | formed in 1986, originally the band was a four piece, with the addition of Grant Kirkhope in the summer of 1987 the bands direction leaned further toward a heavier, but more accessible sound. The band soon gained a strong following locally and started picking up airplay on local radio. Support slots with major bands soon followed as Noussommes name began to be better known with rock fans throughout the UK. What moved Noussommes up to the next level was the band being invited to open up for Ozzy Osbourne on his No More Tears UK tour, playing in front capacity crowds in sold out venues. This increased the bands profile hugely. It was around this time the band first recorded with producer Stephen Harris, a relationship which lasted the duration of the band’s history. Stephen had been working with Little Angels and had got to know Grant as he was also a member of the Big Bad Horns, the brass section of Little Angels, away from his guitar duties with Noussommes. Rise Up, Steal Your Fire and Still So Hungry were recorded at Slaughterhouse Studios in Driffield, Yorkshire. The band knew that in order to get their newly recorded music to where it needed to be, in the ears of the record labels, strong management representation was required. Only a few weeks after the Slaughterhouse session was completed Noussommes signed a management deal with Andy Farrow of Far North Music. The band then embarked on their first UK headline tour, receiving positive reviews from the UK rock press including a five-star review in Kerrang magazine. After the tour had finished, the band were asked to record a session for BBC Radio One’s Friday Rock Show, which was a coup for a band who had yet to ink a recording contract. Another successful 32 date UK tour was undertaken during April and May of 1990 which took the band to new towns and cities, but despite this none of the record companies courting the band would take the leap and offer a recording contract. Just a few weeks after the tour Brian and Gareth (drums and bass guitar) both elected to step away from the band, Noussommes were left looking to find a new rhythm section. Andy Greaves was recruited as the new bass player. He was from a band who had toured with Noussommes previously. Drummer Michael Lee (who also knew Grant from his time with Little Angels) became involved shortly after. Michael at the time was playing in The Cult, but had time away from his commitments with them, so came onboard for the recordings of No Absolution, Blinded and Backbone at KGS studios in Wakefield and the subsequent live shows that the band played that summer. Despite the blistering sound of the KGS session, and many complements on the bands ability to write and perform at the very top of their game both in the media and from record labels, the band again found themselves with no concrete offers on the table to release an album. With Michael returning to his commitments with The Cult the band found themselves with some very big boots to fill. After a couple of short-term incumbents behind the kit, Phil Moody joined the band, this was also the time the band reverted to a four piece again with Nick Dunne leaving. Later that year, the band went to London to record what turned out to be their final session at Chrysalis studios. The tracks Break Me Down, Death of Me and No Conscience showed a band not stagnating, but still evolving. It seemed the newfound popularity of Grunge was turning the heads of the record companies at this point in time toward a different direction to that which the band was heading, and the decision was taken by the band to split up in 1993. Band Members Paul Kettley – Vocals (all sessions) Grant Kirkhope – Guitars (all sessions) Nick Dunne – Guitars (Slaughterhouse & KGS sessions) Andy Greaves – Bass guitar (KGS and Chrysalis sessions) Gareth McKenzie – Bass guitar (Slaughterhouse session) Brian Wilson – Drums (Slaughterhouse session) Michael Lee -Drums (KGS session) Phil Moody – Drums (Chrysalis session) | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Shaun Ward Xperience | They say that music is the language of the soul, and nothing could be truer for this musical prodigy. Born son of jazz violinist Michael Ward, he naturally gravitated to violin at the age of 3, beginning a professional music career at the age of 9. Throughout the course of his career, his soulful touch on the violin has won over the hearts of music lovers from all walks of life. His creativity flourishes on stage not only as a solo performer and bandleader, but also as a music director, having served as MD for BET Music Matters Artists' Ashley Kimbrae, and The Rap Pack; appearing on 106&Park and The BET Experience at LA Live, to backing R&B Crooners such as RL of "NEXT", and Calvin Richardson. This talented musician has earned the admiration and affection of critics and fans alike. His universal appeal has allowed him to travel both domestically and internationally on Jazz, Blues, and R&B Tours, opening for artists such as R.Kelly, Anthony Hamilton, Carl Thomas, K.Michelle, Tyrese. Still, Shaun knows the story of the underdog all too well, "There's no greater feeling I get than when someone new sees my violin, wondering what could I do with it, until I play those first few notes and make it sing!" Choosing to walk his own path, Shaun is on a mission to use his platform to show the next generation how to embrace what makes them unique. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Whiteside's Daughter | Rooted deeply in the southern United States, Whiteside’s Daughter is the brainchild of musician and English professor, Steve Deaton. Drawing from a wide range of influences—including 70’s prog, Scandinavian metal, Southern rock, the Who, and the Southern Gothic literary tradition—the band’s debut, The Life You Save, is a full-length concept album about the gay son of a Pentecostal preacher. About the album Deaton remarks, “Nothing shows the gross absurdities and dark taboos of Southern Gothic better than hellfire revival preaching,” and he considers the album “a not-so-subtle commentary on the horrible doctrine of eternal damnation.” Joined by fellow Mississippians, vocalist Stephen Poff and drummer Brian Hughley, Deaton handles guitar, bass, keys, and some vocals. These three musicians have a broad background of musical experience—everything from college math rock to power pop to alt-country—and this informs the eclectic musical blend that surfaces in the band’s debut. They have been described as Southern Gothic Heavy Prog—“Sabbath and Crimson meet Molly Hatchet and William Faulkner | |

Many of their songs are steeped deep in local history. The Scatterlings sound neither bluegrassy (though there are undeniable mountain influences at play) nor green. There are folk stylings, astute songwriting, textural instrumentation, and the palpable chemistry of players who are happy to have found each other Elfy Kornfeld - vocals & baritone ukulele Terrell Jones - vocals & upright bass Josh Sill - vocals & mandolin Brad Pope - guitar | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Machet-T | Trevor Lawson | MACHET-T Recording Artist Born as Trevor Lawson DEF: A long, sharp, strong, durable, versatile, dual edge (serrated/razor)manifestation most commonly used to clear paths and change the dimensions of objects that are obstacles. WARNING: Has been detained for the capability of violent and deadly purposes. This particular instrument was forged in S.F., California on August 30, 1970, and spent its next few years in Seattle, WA and Erie, PA. In the woods of New Jersey,MACHET-T was tested by the cold weather, dense woods and hard water. These and other strenuous conditions may have caused some nicks and scratches, but no rust whatsoever. This northern tenure lasted 8 years until the migration south in '84. MACHET-T has been in (S.E. + S.W.A.T.S) Atlanta and Decatur, GA chopping out trails of omniversal consciousness for a decade and a half. Marked by hard-core sounds of all types, mostly Roots Rockers Rasta Reggae vibrations/dub poets such as Linton Kwesi Johnson, Mutabaruka, Oku Onuaru, Benjamin Zephania etc., Conscious Roughneck Hip Hop like KRS-ONE, Public Enemy, Poor Righteous Teachers, Shinehead, Asher D and Daddy Freddy, Mad Lion, Eric B and Rahkim, Ice T, etc., MACHET-T was branded with and aimed towards progress. This lyrical instrument was a featured artist with the group HIT EM QUICK AND HARD POSSE from '93-'95 and appears on the EP's RUFFNECK COME and PASS THE BLUNTS, in addition to the compilation album,HISTORY OF ATLANTA REGGAE VOLUME I on TechSound Records. MACHET-T signed an exclusive artist agreement with the Mindstate Entertainment record label in July of 1997 that lasted until the advent of 2000. This artist and BMI affiliated writer has a 12" single entitled OUT THE SHEATH featuring the songs HIP HOP SOUL with singer GINGER and lyricist JSIII, and QUEEN with singer/producer ROC and JSIII. This single was in regular rotation on WRFG 89.3 FM in Atlanta and was just the first cut off the 15 track album/compact disc DUAL EDGE BLADE officially released February 29, 2000. Hacking away at downpressors for many years now, the dual edge sounds of MACHET-T have been deeply penetrating straight to the heart of matters with roughly smooth vocals. MACHET-T has been tempered to keep us focused on the point! Band Members: Trevor Lawson known as Machet-T |
