Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | The January Lanterns | The January Lanterns is an American Indie-Folk-Pop band that formally started in 2017 by husband and wife duo, Andrew and Kristen Camp. The two dynamic performers have been singing, writing and recording together since they met in 2006. The high school sweethearts create a palette of beautiful, yet raw truth in their lyrics and have bitter sweet harmonies that coalesce to create warm folk chord progressions infused with pop productions. Calling Missouri home, the duo’s music caters to anyone who’s lived a life of ups and downs. After releasing their debut LP, For The Kids, When They’re Older, in 2022 the couple released three new singles, “the kid that wrecked it all”, “holding on for dear life”, and “Time Is Softer” in 2023. With four new singles released in 2024 off their upcoming full-length album, “Howl At The Sun” is the latest. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | J.J. Lancaster | Sjon Ueckert | Real Name Sjon Ueckert - Pseudonym Jon J. Lancaster From his personal website discussing recording his sole single: I lived on the island of Manhattan for about two years from 1967 to 1969. I played with the "Pleasant Street Blues Band" and recorded my first record for Date Records (they also had "Peaches and Herb"), a part of Columbia records. My producer was Chuck Sagel, who used to produce Frank Sinatra. My band opened the Electric Circus (Andy Warhol's) club on St. Mark's Place in the Village. We left there to play at Trudy Heller's Uptown Cabaret and Nico and the Velvet Underground took our place at Warhol's club. I lived in the Albert Hotel, where most of the working musicians in Manhattan lived (they had basement rehearsal rooms). New York, at that time, was a great place to be. I returned a number of years later and found the place very uptight and angry. I need to go back and see if that has changed again. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Bad Boys Of '79 | Alex Puddu is the man behind the project “Bad Boys of 79”. Alex takes inspiration from: Late-night encounters on back streets as seen in dystopic movies such as The Warriors, Escape from New York, The new Barbarians, Tenebrae, Nightmare in the City... just to mention a few. The sound of Bad Boys of 79 is based on beats with the sonority of early 80s’ synths and delay-effects, all played and recorded with a minimalistic accuracy. Alex Puddu composed, recorded, and produced the album himself and describes the sound of the project in a few words: “Easy beat, evil bite “… The album features several guests performances by artists such as Lasse Storm (the voice of Sha la las), Morten Dalhoff (bass player of Skywriter) Justin Schøning (Beat Me Up Baby, 3eme Sexe) and last, but certainly not least, Peter Peter (former member of Sort Sol and Bleeder) who co-wrote the electro-post-apocalyptic track "We are the Bad Boys" and contributes with a killer guitar riff reminiscent of the early days with his punk/rock band “Sort Sol”. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | W. H. (Bill) Lamey | Bill Lamey (1914 – 1991), fiddler, was born at River Denys, Cape Breton but spent some of his early years in Sydney and Sydney Mines before moving permanently to the Boston area, USA. His fiddle playing began at the age of 18 and was strongly influenced by other fiddlers such as “Big” Ranald MacLellan and Gordon MacQuarrie. He credits his mother and her Gaelic songs and jigging with the Gaelic influence found in his playing. Unable to take lessons himself due to the cost, he learned much through lessons his cousin was taking at the time. He quickly escalated into public performances and routinely played all the local dances, especially in and around the Sydney area. In 1953, Bill relocated to Boston with his family. He became a charter member of the Cape Breton Island Gaelic Foundation and was president of it for 15 years. He also ran a radio program over WVOM and held dances in the Boston area and helped many Cape Breton artists make their way south to perform in the US. His music is preserved on a number of recordings including “Classical Recordings of Scottish Fiddling” and “Full Circle - From Cape Breton to Boston and Back” which is a collection of home recordings made of Bill from 1956-1977. On such recordings, you can hear his distinctive snappy bowing technique and rhythmic strathspeys and reels and haunting slow airs. | |

Following his love for music and his father's old profession (Glen Diani: One Minute Silence Bass Player) D.R.N.E is looking within the world of Rap to venture out within the genre in order to make a name for himself and his hometown. Debut EP Nights of 19 (featured in the top 10 of DistroKid Spotlight playlist and reigned number 1 for four weeks on the DistroKid Rap Scallion playlist) and successful single Acc 'A' Madness produced by Pezmo (also featuring on the DistroKid Rap Scallion playlist and other playlists,) D.R.N.E collaborated with artist T.T releasing single Hold Me Down securing his first live radio play on BCB Radio 106.6FM. In this interview, DC teased Bradford Habits: his most successful song until surprise drop Wait (4 Me) which is rapidly grew to overtake it in spectacular fashion. Following a phenomenal away show in Todmordon, DC performed as a special guest performing Wait (4 Me) and a series of unreleased tracks (including one with BEN RTST.) Due to his sudden uprise after shows and Wait (4 Me) success, D.R.N.E ran a poll on Instagram, where his fans requested the release of 3 ‘throwaway’ R&B tracks DC had previously been working on. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Matthew M. Bartlett | Matthew M. Bartlett was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1970. At an early age he was given as a gift the novelization of The Omen; not long after that, he inherited a worn copy of Christine by Stephen King. He fell deeply in love with horror: with the Universal monsters, with Hammer films, with the rented videos from the horror section of that almost-gone artifact known as the Video Rental Store. He began writing poetry while in the English program at Central Connecticut State University. An abiding interest in horror fiction led him to start a Livejournal page whose posts were his first forays into fiction: bite-sized tales accompanied by doctored daguerreotypes and his own photographs taken in Leeds and Northampton, Massachusetts. These posts centered around a long-dead coven using radio waves to broadcast disturbing and dangerous transmissions from the dark woods of Western Massachusetts. His inspirations are varied and the foremost are certainly not atypical for the genre: H.P. Lovecraft, Thomas Ligotti, Robert Aickman, T.E.D. Klein. Other authors he admires include Donald E. Westlake, Richard Yates, J.D. Salinger, and Hunter S. Thompson. He also draws inspiration from the radio monologues and shows of Joe Frank; the poetry of Philip Larkin, of Mark Strand, of Stephen Crane; the movies of Wes Anderson, of Ben Wheatley, of the Coen Brothers. He continues to write dark and strange fiction at his home in Western Massachusetts, where he lives with his wife Katie and an unknown number of cats. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | The Gothic Cowboy | Melvin Litton | Born in 1950, Melvin Litton grew up on a creek-bank farm and small town in Kansas. A straight arrow out of high school, he entered the Air Force Academy in ’68 aiming to be a cold warrior/astronaut. But gazing out a window late one evening in the cadet library, listening to “Sounds of Silence” as the snow fell quiet on the darkened plain, he felt an urge enter his blood stronger than any dream of flying jet or rocket. Come Christmas he left the academy and with a wager won off a high-school buddy walked into a pawn shop and bought a $25 guitar. Within a month he’d written his first song and the following summer faced with dropping 150 bucks on a sweetheart’s diamond ring or a sunburst Gibson, he choose the guitar, lost the girl, soon found one better and kept on pickin’. A few years on found him singing regularly in bars and he took the handle “The Gothic Cowboy,” drew up a poster (which partly forms this cover), and rode solo as such over next 20 years through a maze of dead-end gigs, hitting Canada, New England, Colorado, Nashville, and Austin, finally landing back in Kansas. There, in his mid-forties, he formed The Border Band with guitarist Roger Holden and drummer Dave Melody. Again, over a 20-year jaunt they played their brand of rawhide rock ‘n country blues through 100s of regional gigs, shifting through more bass players than a spider has legs while putting out 5 CDs, all gaining fair notice on roots music sites and indie radio. Trail weary by 2016, he retired the band determined to ride out his days once more solo as The Gothic Cowboy. But he soon teamed up Mando Dan Hermreck and together they put out a double-disc “Between the Wars” in 2019. Nearing his biblical span, he offers “Bare Bones,” a 4-disc set of homespun songs from his youth, subtitled “Chance, Folly, Desire & Dream” and best described in the liners from the back cover: |
