Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Pauline Oduro | "Paulina Oduro is a talented and evocative performer with over two decades of singing under her belt. Paulina moved to London at the age of nine, with her diplomat father and mother. Her interest in music began at an early age.Recognising her talent and enthusiasm for music, her parents encouraged her, in addition to her normal education, to undertake formal tuition in music, learning to play classical piano. Her main interest in music was to singing. However, as with most parents, they insisted on her having a more stable career. Paulina therefore trained as a nurse but after three years in that profession she felt music was her proper calling and at the age of 21, she quit nursing to become a professional singer. She joined a reggae band called Casanova and within six months they released their first single. Since then Paulina has sang with a number of reggae and soca bands. Her pedigree includes performances with such greats like Calypso King Mighty Sparrow, soca favourite Arrow, Lord Kitchener, Alexander O'neil and renowned Trinidadian singer David Rudder. Her silky smooth vocals have also attracted most leading Ghanaian artists to record with her. Paulina was also one of the lead female vocals with the Western Diamonds, the top Hi-life group in Ghana from the early to mid-1990s. Her solo debut CD, Woman Power, released in March 1999, was a reflection of her various musical influences and experiences over the years. It contained most genres of African music. Sung in both English and her native Fanti language in her inimitable vocal style, the CD could be described as the ultimate in modern African music. She has been shuttling Ghana and UK back and forth. When in Ghana, she performs alongside celebrated Ghanaian musicians like Paapa Yankson as well as up and coming artists. She also lends her experience as a quest judges to several competitions in Ghana. From http://www.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/people/person.php?ID=618

Search | Add | 3 | Interstate 35 | Wolfram Reiter | INTERSTATE 35 basically is Wolfram Reiter's conceptual noise project, a dedication to certain serial murders and a series of various collaborations of him and everytime other friends/musicians/artists working together for one release each. Wolfram is an experimental artist and movie maker from austria, absolutely fond of zombie/trash/splatter movies and weird/macabre stuff like i.e. biographies of serial murders - that's maybe where the idea for the concept behind INTERSTATE 35 comes from. since 1994 he is involved in various other projects like JANE DOE, BONEFARM, HEAD OF YAGAN and METASTASE (to name a few), he has been invited to perform at various locations by associations acting in the experimental/noise/avat-garde field like i.e. qujochoe as well as underground film festivals and the like. and - he is d.i.y. in its most original meaning: almost every single record he ever produced was also released by himself, including artwork and recording as well. besides all these activities he runs a record store in feldkirch/vorarlberg (in the very western region of austria) and right now he is busy to finish 2 movies and the next part of his INTERSTATE 35 series. |

Search | Add | 3 | Faton | Faton was the band created in 1993 by Francois ‘Faton' Cahen. This was the first band led by Cahen in which he would solely assume the whole responsibility of music and the musical direction. The first line-up comprised Cahen himself on piano, Patrick Tillman (violin), Claire Gillet (contrabass), Charly Doll (drums) and Philippe Makaïa (percussions). The same year, François Cahen was also invited to reform [a=Zao (3)], and Patrick Tillman, was a natural inclusion in this band too. But this reformation of Zao was only meant as a temporary studio project and Cahen’s priority was for his band Faton. After several concerts and rehearsals, they released a 4-track CD in 1997. In 1999 the band toured heavily in France with a restructured line-up : Claire Gillet, Patrick Tillman and Philippe Makaïa left, replaced respectively by Thierry Colson, Nicolas Krassik and Olivier Bonny. Their first full length album was released in 2000 and another tour planned this year. For this tour, François Cahen decided to hire new musicians (only Charly Doll remained) as he was unsatisfied with the previous members of the band : “they were ‘jazzmen’, and they fell in the jazz cliché of showing how good they could play, it wasn’t me nor my music anymore”. The new line-up lasted until 2002 and recorded one live album. In 2003, François Cahen reunited with Yochk’o Seffer in Ethnic Trio and together they accepted an offer from [a=Hiroshi Masuda] (Poseidon Productions) to reactivate Zao again for a tour in Japan. That was the start of several new collaborations between the old friends, and the definitive end of [a=Faton].
