Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Prolonged Version | James Shearman & Charlie Wheatley | The duo known as Prolonged Version have been making and performing sonic explorations from late 2013. Originally, the two came together to record material for Shearman's projects "Echoes ... Leytonstone" and "Camera Fiend" on Wheatley's Akai reel-to-reel tape recording device. The two ended up recording collaborative material as well and the duo was borne out of this coming together. In the "early demo" situated on bandcamp, the two typically blend the two sounds from Shearman's "Echoes ... Leytonstone" project of ambient guitar drones and Wheatley's solo project "Ti Seed" (as well as variation, "Nodal Incline") of synthetic organ compositions and improvisation. Within the space between January and March 2014 the two had drastically altered their sound - Shearman's solo noise project "A Raja's Mesh Men" brought down to bear on the sound, and Wheatley's solo musique concrete experiments as "Phonic Rotations" did as well - as the two switched influences for much noisier and industrial sources this was reflected in their full-length, "All Watched Over By Machines With Neurotic Disorders" - which was picked up for release to CDr by the Leeds-based poetry zine and sub-label "The Junkyard Procession" due to it's subtle incorporation of spoken word elements from Shearman (something that had remained from the sonic environment of the early demo). The two have since continued to record and perform and are currently working on their next release which will be a self-released double-cassette album consisting of a C20 and a C30 in a dual-case. Their live performing in 2014 has extended the trend of drastically altering the sound palette for the two collaborators, and often sequentially involves the two performing on entirely new set-ups that can be impromptu on the night or slightly practised yet still improvised within. |

Search | Add | 4 | Iliktronik Kremenel | Fathi Saleh | Getting his name from one of his greatest influences the Smooth Criminal himself, Michael Jackson, Fathi Saleh A.K.A. ILIKTRONIK KREMENEL (Pronounced: Electronic Criminal), has been classically trained in Violin & Piano ever since he was a young child. Growing up in Egypt he wasn't into mainstream music, mainly listening to House & Trance. At a very young age he started DJing at one his father’s nightclub, & at friends’ parties, school socials, & anywhere he could spread the joy of music to the rest of his peers & public. After loving David Guetta's music at a very young age, he always wanted to know how all the artists produced music, but it wasn’t until one of his favorite artists, Swedish House Mafia, posted a video of them in the studio creating one of their most recognizable & iconic tracks, (& a masterpiece of music), "One”, that he learned that the software they used was Logic Pro, that’s when he became ILIKTRONIK KREMENEL. Moving back to the place he was born, Los Angeles California, with the love of Above & Beyond's label, Anjunabeats, & the help of Jason Ross, when he first started taking his masterclass to learn the basics of creating progressive trance music, did he really start to develop his sound to what you hear today. |

Search | Add | 4 | Chaoskeeper | Electronic/vocal/rock band from St.Petersburg, Russia. Started by Artyom and Sheez in 2012 with numerous experiments with sound as an attempt to make something trip-hop-like with overdriven guitars and strings but turned out to sound heavier and darker. The band came to life officially in 2014, publishing their studio-live video "Monsterize". Just before they released their first album "Personal Effects" in 2015, Eggor had joined the band and helped finishing the last song on the album — "Eleven". The second album "Misplaced" was composed by the trio and released in 2018. After that the band unintentionally took a half-year pause, and only appeared to the public again to play a number of semi-acoustic live shows during the summer of 2019. One of that shows happened in Reykjavík, Iceland. Then the project was seemingly put on pause again.

Search | Add | 4 | Prism Theory | Formed in 1998 Prism Theory is: Barry Davis - Guitars, Backup Vocals Dirk Keylor - Bass Chris Imlay - Lead Vocals, Keys Drew Pencook - Drums Our bodies are machines, controlled by energy and electrical impulses, and energy never ceases to exist, it just changes. Because of that constant transfer of energy, human beings can allow themselves to be emotionally connected to everything around them. From the air we breathe to the warmth of the sun and even the alignments of the planets themselves; we are connected. It is a theory that when we are conceived our bodies come in contact with wandering energies. Energies that map out our talents, personality and entire outlook on the life we live. Prism Theory has always been a focused band which, from day one, has always been about the music. The drive of learning and playing technical and musical songs came from some of their favorite groups such as: Dream Theater, Tool and Rush. Because of such groups, Prism Theory developed their skills of writing and arranging more thought-out and intricately complex sections to their music. Don't be taken by the musicianship of the band alone, they are influenced by the most assertive of bands such as: Sevendust, Korn and Pantera. These bands helped shape Prism Theory’s cutting edge of powerful, drop-tuned sounds that define their style as ‘edgy.’ By also adding catchy vocal melodies and tight harmonies (King's X) to the mix, they’ve created a very high-energy emotional ride, which captures the essence of their sound. Finally, adding the dark topics and personal conflicts of lyrics, the songs still leave you with a feeling or a sign of hope and a positive outlook on life. People are drawn to Prism Theory for these reasons. The songs allow you to feel something and at the same time the music is constantly changing around you to keep you on your toes. "Our vision is to create music in the same way that a prism separates white light into the entire spectrum. The same way blue can make you feel melancholy, or red can symbolize angry emotions, but when put together you get one whole unit.” says lead vocalist Chris Imlay. It’s that spirituality and passion for music that shines through with every performance. What you see are four artists who take you through every emotion, every time, with just the right touch of rage, range and class. That musicality has earned them numerous opening spots for national acts including progressive super group Planet X, Flaw, Greenwheel, Beautiful Creatures, 8 Stops 7 and My Own Victim. The same virtues have also earned them their own headlining shows throughout the region. "The bottom line is we take our music seriously and put 100 percent into everything we do. We want to make you think, we want to share our perspective, and we want you to leave the show wanting more."

Search | Add | 4 | Nico Demonte | Nico started his musical journey with 80s dance electronic electronica italo disco pop synth pop synthpop. Nico’s sound has traveled across radio stations WNUR 89.3 FM, WLUW 88.7 FM, WZBC 90.3 FM Newton/Boston, WZLY 91.5 FM, 93.1 FM, and WMBR 88.1 FM in Cambridge where he hosted his own electronic Chicago house show. D.e.a.t.h. D.i.s.c.o. Radio program director Nico brings talent the likes of DJ Hell, Larry Tee, Mr. K-Alexi, Adriano Canzian, The Model, Mihai Popoviciu, Masstyk, Mick Wills, Play Paul, Princess Superstar, Gene Farris, Reid Speed, Salvatore Cusato, Casco, and Funky Junction among others. Nico always had a fascination with Chicago house music, and let it known through his collection of the Trax Records Chicago label. The breakup of Chicago groups from the 1990's, including Nico Flash, Future Gazers, Boys Club led to the eventual inspiration for Nico’s "Material Boy" and “Who’s That Guy” remixes that were inspired by Madonna's "Material Girl," themes. The band recently recorded under "State of The Art" Boys Club impresario transformed into the power pop personality of Nico in 1996. It was Kraftwerk's masterpiece, The Man Machine (1978), that formed the inspiration for Nico Demonte's remix of the “Man Machine” classic. Kraftwerk's "Showroom Dummies" also formed the inspiration for Nico "Mannequins in Alleys" singles. Nico (class of 1991) and rock legend Billy Corgan and lead singer of the “Smashing Pumpkins” (class of 1985) both graduated from Glenbard North High School in Illinois. While Billy Corgan was forming his first band “The Marked” in 1985 (prior to Billy Corgan forming the Smashing Pumpkins), Nico Demonte played jazz and classical music as a saxaphonist, while dabbling in electronics to find new sounds. In 1990, Nico studied acting under the teacher of Animal House and SNL actor John Belushi. In 1995, Nico and Stymie began Genesis Project Recordings in Chicago, running it out of their garage. In 1998, Nico expanded his sound following numerous trips to Zurich, Switzerland and at the legendary club Tresor in Berlin. Inspired by Berlin legends Dr. Motte, Paul van Dyk, Tanith, Jonzon, Rok, Kid Paul, Nico released “Der Auslander.” Nico’s release of his full length CD "Der Auslander" (1999) made it to the CMJ charts and was followed up by singles and remixes like the 12" EP Phantasmagoria and the remix of skylab2000’s hit “Ten Re-Entry” EP. “ This Chicago songwriter openly attributes Ministry's Al Jourgensen, Wax Trax! Records, the keyboard sequences of My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult and the industrial sounds of Front 242 as creative inspirations. During these years of late night productions and radio gigs where test promos were always the norm, Nico was further influenced by the sultry sounds of Chicago’s legendary Frankie Knuckles, Michael Serafini, Madonna, Moby, U2, and David Bowie, vowing to create his own splash on the frontier of the music scene. Following a record release party in 1997, the legendary Chicago to DJ at “Medusa’s” Nightclub. Nico DJ’s and performs live at Chicago nightclubs Vision, Rednofive, Medusa’s Mission, Ice Bar Chicago, The Dragon Room, in Las Vegas, St. Thomas and the Virgin Islands, and around the states. Nico has played alongside Felix Da Housecat, Green Velvet aka Cajmere, Tommie Sunshine, KC the Drummer, Stymie, DJ Boogieman, Phantom 45, Dan Efex, DJ Dayhota, DJ Lady D, Invisible Scratch Piklz, D-Styles and Qbert, Hyperactive, Mazi, Mark Almaria, 3D, skylab2000, and others. Nico is founder of the 8 bit pop group Commodore 64 Orchestra (www.commodore64orchestra.com). When the release of Der Auslander received radioplay on 88.7 it caught fire in the Chicago underground, and was inspired by Cajmere’s (aka Green Velvet) ghettotech single "Time for the Perculator", DJ Ron Hardy, Jesse Saunders, Devo, Adonis, K-Alexi, Mr. Lee and the genius of Larry Sherman. A pivotal point came with the 1986 releases of the House anthem of "Move Your Body" by Marshall Jefferson, Phuture’s "Acid Trax,” and Maurice Joshua / Hot Hands Hula's "This Is Acid." Nico’s 2000 single "Collapse of Civilization" was inspired by his experience at the legendary Berlin club Tresor, followed by the sexy dance track Phantasmagoria released in 2001. In 2003, Nico Demonte remixed skylab2000’s commercial hit “Ten,” with the Boys Club club classic released in 2003. The inspiring pop sound of Boys Club was directly inspired from the vision of Telex's "Moskow Diskow," "Thomas Dolby, Gary Numan, Yaz, OMD, John Foxx, Japan, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Juan Atkins and 3070 aka Cybotron, New Order, Human League, Farley Jackmaster Funk's "The Acid Life, and Men Without Hats. Nico is one of the founders of the EJ MIDI Turntable (EJ Enterprises Worldwide), specializing in the world’s first video turntable and other future music technologies. Nico’s EP “Alive” is scheduled for releases in 2005. Paris Hilton's inspiration for the classic “ATM GIRL” was coincidental. After hearing Donna Summer and the Disco classic “The Chase” by Giorgio Moroder, Astley states that Nico recognized the cultural relavence of Pop Icons like Paris and Nikky Hilton by writing his classic “ATM GIRL©®.” Astley states that a CD containing songs like the sexy synth pop anthem, "ATM GIRL©®," from Nico Demonte’s upcoming album, "Alive©®", has gone missing during his electric shock in the Chicago-based studio.

Search | Add | 4 | synta[xe]rror | synta [XE] rror is a duo of Bartosz “Kostia” Jakubicki and Artur “Blacha” Błaszczyk hailing from Wrocław in southern Poland. Project came to life in the late ‘90s. Guys officialy released 2 albums – “Abyad” in 2006 on Polish War Office Propaganda and “Final” on Italian Ars Benevola Mater. A little over a year ago, and 14 years after the well-received "Final" (ABM 2007), the SYNTA [XE] RROR duo broke a long silence to publish the album "[.] DOT" in Zoharum, an unreleased before material, recorded in a relatively short time since their debut for Italian label, being a natural consequence of the previous album with many references, visible in the composition layer, in a similar sound and building a climate. We dealt with interesting, slightly broken electronics, kept in the IDM style, with a slightly industrial vibe. The new material brings many changes. Then we deal with electronics in the IDM convention, but more massive, because the emphasis is on building structures based on a heavy kick drum and strongly dehumanized, almost mechanical rhythm. Multilayered percussion, intertwined with emotional melody, filling the space with which the music from "[.] DOT" is associated, have been changed here with a rough, almost metallic sound, thickening with every minute of the slowly unraveling machine, announcing the inevitable cataclysm, crime or maybe apocalypse.

Search | Add | 4 | Jacob's Room | Jacob's Room were a south London indie guitar group based in Hither Green between 1985 and 1986. They played a small number of local gigs as a three-piece before disbanding. An eight-song demo was recorded on a Fostex four-track mainly to attract new members, no copies appear to have survived. Jacob’s Room were notable at the time for their melancholy baritone vocals, treated guitars, and texture-rich multi-keyboards that preceded the broader genres of Shoegaze and Dream Pop. During the autumn of 2022, Dave Fennessy rekindled his musical partnership with Gary Parker, suggesting that even though it had been 37 years, they should rerecord the eight original songs from memory to see how they would have sounded, using equipment of the time that they couldn't then afford. During this process, Gary presented several new and recent songs to add to the 21-track album project, Then & Now. This was released during July 2023.

Made some music in my dad's home studio during a few years but kept it as a hobby. After many upgrades and making tracks for home pleasure I recently got in touch with a wellknown producer who teamed up for making a lot of new tracks. Nowadays i'm equipped with a DAW, many vst plugins, audio interface, keyboards,... |
