Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Robin Greenstein | Robin is a singer-songwriter from NYC whose music is a mix of folk, pop, rock, blues, country and jazz. She calls her music "Acousticness." Imagine a female James Taylor; strong finger-picking, rootsy songs with sophisticated pop influences. Stong soulful singing and memorable original songs make a lasting impact on her audiences. Her songs have been recorded on Fast Folk and Atlantic Records. She was picked for a finalist spot at the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival Songwriting competition (1989) in Texas on her very first application. Robin was also signed to Bob Dylan's publishing company as a writer for two years. She has performed in over 44 states and several countries including The Dominican Republic, The Bahamas, China, Japan, Mexico, Germany, Switzerland, Holland and Denmark. She is a Club Med performing artist. Robin performed extensively for college audiences across the U.S.for two decades in addition to playing at various folk venues. Her first album "SLOW BURN" was released initially as an independent in 1989. It was subsequently picked up for release in Europe by Swiss label BRAMBUS Records in 1992 and received rave reviews. Robin did her first European tour in 1994 and has part of every summer for the rest of that decade touring Europe, especially Denmark. In 1997 Band Together Records re-released SLOW BURN on CD in the USA. Robin's second CD "Acousticness" was released in 2000. Her third CD "Images of Women", released in 2002, was the first in a series of volumes which explore traditional folk and blues songs about women. Vol. 2 was released in 2010 and made the Grammys first ballot for traditional Folk Album of the Year. At the end of 2010, Robin released "Songs of the Season", a CD featuring music from an annual show she performed with Long Island musician Cecilia Kirtland. Robin has won music competitions at the Riverbank/Walden Radio Folk Festival and the NJ Folk Festival, South Florida Folk Festival and others. She's showcased at both the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, Kerrville Folk Festival the NJ Folk Festival, The Napa Folk Festival and many Folk Alliance Conferences. But her favorite gig all time was singing the national anthem at Madison Square Garden in NYC for her beloved New York Knicks! Robin plays both guitar and banjo. Her superb musicianship, powerful songs, strong singing and relaxed performing style win over audiences everywhere. She majored in Music at SUNY-Stony Brook with a concentration in Classical Guitar). Describing her music as "Acousticness", Robin mixes many styles of music - folk, pop, rock, jazz and blues- in an acoustic base. In a show, you might hear a jazz standard, a blues song, or a instrumental banjo dance tune scattered among her original compositions. Her music has the musical sophistication of James Taylor with the lyrical sensitivity of Joni Mitchell, and strong vocals like Linda Ronstadt or blues-influenced like Bonnie Raitt. Robin does a concert-lecture entitled "Images of Women," a look at women's lives thru traditional Anglo and Afro-American folk songs, as well as family and children's programs (see "Other Shows"). She is eligible for Meet The Composer grants as well as BOCES. She was a performer-clinician for Martin Guitars and teaches privately in the New York City area when she's not on the road (lessons in guitar, banjo, uke and voice). | |

Search | Add | 4 | Too Much For The White Man | Irish Reggae band from Tuam in County Galway who formed in 1985 and disbanded in the early 90s. The idea of the group came together when band members were living in London. While in the UK capital, the band started playing with Jamaican musicans. This gave rise to their interest in reggae. Leo Moran only remained with the group for a short time as he left in 1986 to form [a=The Saw Doctors]. They returned to Tuam in 1987. They derived their name from a rough translation of a Spanish phrase. Band member, John Brogan, had just returned home from the Canary Islands where the heat there was described as being 'Too Much For The Whiteman'. Put Your Mind At Ease reached Number 28 in Ireland on the 13th of October 1988 where it stayed for one week. Search | Add | 4 | Peel MD | "Swedish duo PEEL MD was formed in 2008 after Tomrum finally managed to persuade A. Stantz that they should jam together. The core of their sound is driving drums, 303's (there's something particular about them), noise-free midi, lots of fx and a dub approach to the often cheap mixer desk. Since their 2012 debut "Grip EP" on Börft Records (which blew the ears off the Swedish underground with its 120bpm dirty and wobbly psychotic acid techno) the releases have kept coming. The foundations of their music lie back in the early 90's; they both grew up on the countryside outside the town Örebro, both were dreamers and were pretty much alone to be into house and techno, plus they both had older brothers that where into synth music. This shared background led to a friendship that later evolved into PEEL MD. They quickly discovered they worked good together and while Tomrum was an awkwardly-obsessive sound junkie, A. Stantz had a feel for how to mould their acid explorations into something danceable with a beginning, middle and an end. They also discovered they both had a slight hearing impairment but luckily in different ears, so together they would still be able to hear in stereo. Sometimes the sum of two takes it all to another level, and PEEL MD, one of Sweden’s best kept underground secrets, is a great example of this!" Originally started to create remixes and learn production techniques, Free Advertizement soon began writing new original material. Later joined by Pete Za, the song "Pizza Mafia" was written and garnered some attention through DIY marketing and minor radio play on KMYZ's Home Groan radio show. Search | Add | 4 | Strengsbrew | Strengsbrew are a talented, charismatic and seasoned (yet not too old), four-piece band hailing from the twin rock capitols of the world (Stockholm, Sweden and Queens, New York). Formed in 2019 this quartet of musicians produces a sound that is so distinctive and unique, so heavy, driving, and melodic, that you can’t help but rock out as they totally dominate the mid-trans-atlantic music scene while completely redefining the global image of multi-cultural ethnic-rock music today, creating a unique niche within the harder edges of radio rock an’ roll. Not content to ride on the star-studded coattails of The Hellacopters and the stardom of garage rock legends The Fleshtones, Strengsbrew are opening people’s minds with their driving, emotion-filled music in a unique, unprecedented package. Much like Lee Hazelwood, Sevendust and Hootie and the Blowfish have all changed the face of rock, Strengsbrew -- with several members who are American-born, but living in Scandinavia -- are poised to prove that music is, indeed, the one true universal language (in a changing new world where music seems to be erasing all existing racial boundaries). With its lineup solidified, Strengsbrew have ignited Scandinavia with their crisp, pop-sensible driving anthems alongside a loyal following of music lovers both young and young at heart. Search | Add | 4 | Katia Rocha | Katia Cunha Rocha | Kátia Rocha a brazilian instrumentist, composer and interpret, a more than 10-year-on-the-road artist. A peaceful born under Taurus woman, but a stage-energetic swing musician, Kátia has always had a very eclectic taste for music that ranges from Billie Holliday to “Gonzaguinha “, from “Milton Nascimento” to Jethro Tull. She started her studies on transversal flute during the times she coursed Physical Education in college and when she headed for Rio, she also studied singing, sax, acoustic guitar and musical harmony. Her history with the sax had already begun some years ago, when she got the instrument from her father, and that soon enough seemed awkward and the lady decided to sell it. Barely did she know that the sax would become her main musical instrument at the beginning of her career. In the 80’s, she took part in some bands as “Jogo de Cintura”, on a partnership with Ricco Duarte and as “Confusion Jazz Co.” – dedicated to instrumental music. The experience of The Confusion band was registered on a album that was released in 1992. In 1996, she decided to fly solo with her álbum “Kátia Rocha”, with musical arrangement by Leandro Braga and participations of Zé Renato and Elisa Lucinda, her co-writer for the song Espírito Santinho, one of the 10 songs in the album, which talks about the beauties of their homeland and has become one of the dearest songs for hometowners. The release of this album took place in Carlos Gomes Theatre, in Vitória, with the musical group Boca Livre, and also in Mistura Fina and cultural place for entertainment Sérgio Porto, in Rio de Janeiro, and on with a tour throughout the northwest part of the country, in the Pixinguinha Project with long-time singer João Nogueria, who passed away some years ago. |
