Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

In 2011 he teamed up with co-writer Marc Abram to relesea their debut album, "The Pearly Gate Parade," which received glowing reviews from the indie community and found heavy rotation on non-comm and college radio. In 2016 the duo released "Always Everything," a mid/upbeat EP of innovative pop-rock songs. Their most recent 2022 Single, "My Kobayashi Maru" is a gritty, fast-paced song with garage-rock/punk undertones. Fans of the Star Trek series will immediately recognize the track's name, which refers to a test given to its ship's captains... but in pop-culture, has since become synonymous with a "no-win scenario." Margiotti is an ASCAP member and currently writes and records music for tv, movies and video-games. |

With a purposeful grimace, heavy beats were thrown down between the guitars, vocals, and flute. Search | Add | 4 | Tulio Piva | Born in Santiago do Boqueirão (RS), on the border with Argentina, on December 4, 1915, Túlio Piva became known for his style of composing and playing the guitar. On February 11, 1993, samba gaucho said goodbye to one of its main representatives. Renowned for his unique guitar strumming, a talented composer and influenced by rhythms ranging from tango to samba, Túlio Piva marked the music of Rio Grande do Sul and of Brazil. The composer gained prominence for his pioneering spirit in composing sambas with a “gaucho accent”, with a poetic mix of his border influences, tango and Rio de Janeiro samba. A paradoxical artist: a gaucho descendant of Italians, who in his songs talked about life on the favela, tambourine and batucada. Author of songs recorded by renowned names such as Elis Regina, Elza Soares, Jair Rodrigues, Germano Mathias, Demônios da Garoa, Noite Ilustrada and Luiz Vieira, among Túlio's main works the following stand out: the sambas "Gente da Noite", known as the anthem of Porto Alegre's bohemia and the name of its famous nightclub, which operated for a decade (1980s) on Avenida João Pessoa. Porto Alegre/RS, "Pandeiro de Prata", the great winner of the II South-Brazilian Popular Song Festival (1968), and "Tem Que Ter Mulata", which received dozens of recordings and interpretations, including in Russia, the United States and Venezuela. Túlio Piva, alongside his fellow countryman Lupicínio Rodrigues, is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in popular music in Rio Grande do Sul of all time.

Search | Add | 4 | Tàlveg | [a=Ferran Fages] - electric guitar [a=Marcellí Bayer] - baritone and alto saxophone [a=Oriol Roca] - drums Tàlveg. Behind this enigmatic name, we find three of the most experienced musicians of the Barcelona scene who, with only three years of work together, have managed to materialise a very personal way of facing improvisation and even transcending it. A very efficient mixture of individuality and common understanding. The method is scrupulous, the forms precise, and the sound generous. They know how to build sonic architectures that go beyond genres and get rid of the need for classification. Sound in its most direct, concise and at the same time, essential sense. But, if we talk about a method, it is precisely because procedure is the cornerstone of this whole building; with implicit boundaries that are never guessed, but which support each gesture and each intervention. The sound circulates as a single flow made of intriguing and captivating textures. The compositions or, perhaps it is better to say, guided improvisations are generated with a careful concentration and a limpid vision of a global sound, which allows room for the interventions and leaves more space for the listener’s interpretation. To allow them to participate fully in the experience. And "space" is the word that curiously comes to mind when listening to this music; and then the word "arid". Although sometimes the space is saturated, we sense that it is with full consciousness; in the same way that this imaginative aridity, sometimes reduced to a few harmonics, is expanded with grunts and bursts that end up flooding the space with sound. The work on listening is absolutely fundamental in this trio. To better distribute energy, each contribution is strategically dispensed; close to the form of an oratorio, but without the solemnity or religiousness that characterises it, each piece alternates possible combinations, not only to better highlight and expand the timbres and atmospheres, but also to not exhaust the global form. This alternation opens up the listening, eliminates expectation and ensures that our attention never lowers its guard. When the storm arrives, it is both beneficial and brutal at the same time; and soon, it becomes a catharsis. Tàlveg possesses the energy of the power trio and, in addition, the intelligence of proportion; each instrument has the necessary space to be able to affirm itself without having to make a place among the others; as if they all had their doors open to manifest themselves, but only at very specific moments. And every time they appear alone, their presence seems unconditional and we never miss the others. Here, structural rigour exceeds the most visceral spirit, without any ostentation; but, even so, there is an organic strength in this structure. An emotionally intense journey on course to discovery, which undoubtedly activates the imagination. Alfredo Costa Monteiro, December 2021

Search | Add | 4 | Exebelle | Known as "Exebelle And The Rusted Cavalcade" until 2017. Taking inspiration from Virginia's folk tradition as well as the rural country-rock of Ryan Adams, the Band, and Neil Young, songwriters Philip Heesen and C.E. Wright formed Exebelle & the Rusted Cavalcade in September 2007. Kerry Hutcherson joined the duo soon after, having previously cut his teeth with the local group Copper Sails, while bassist Ryan Owenby enlisted after the disintegration of his own Richmond-based band, Motion Picture Demise. The lineup remained intact for the local release of The Skeletor Sessions in 2008; shortly thereafter, though, Wright returned to his native Utah. With their original frontman gone, the remaining members began incorporating thick harmonies and varied instrumentation into their previously stripped-down music. The Antipoison Creek Sessions displayed the new sound in 2009, with each member contributing lead vocals to at least one of the EP's four tracks, and the countrified C.A.F. followed a few months later. Exebelle wrapped up the year by putting the finishing touches on Vivement l'Automne!, which appeared in early 2010. That same year, Virginia native Ben Willson joined the group on piano and vocals, making his Exebelle [record] debut on 2011's "V". - Andrew Leahey, AllMusicGuide Having gone without drums for quite some time, the band gained the aid of Mike Trimble for a short while in 2011 -- who had performed previously drummed with the band, some years before -- but then were back to square one when nature called Mike to LA. In 2012, with Phil's newly-acquired position in the popular Richmond band "Long Arms", he and their drummer Greg Butler became fast friends, leading Greg to graciously agree, along with Willson's friend and former bandmate Steve Chiles filling Owenby's spot on bass, to join the ranks of the Cavalcade in their quest toward a rowdier, more rewarding destiny. In 2014, Butler moved on and Exebelle welcomed drummer Kevin Willoughby into the fold. In early 2017, Exebelle welcomed bassist Mikey Bryant (Alabama Thunderpussy, Kid Is Qual) to the band.
