Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 6 | Martin van Maële | Maurice François Alfred Martin van Miële | Maurice Martin van Miële (12 October 1863, Boulogne-Billancourt — 5 September 1926, Varennes-Jarcy), professionally known as Martin van Maële, was a French illustrator, particularly notable for his explicit and exacerbated drawings for erotic literature. He extensively collaborated with Charles Carrington in Paris, a leading erotica publisher, illustrating books by [a=Anatole France], [a=Paul Verlaine]'s La Trilogie érotique, and Apulée's L'Âne d'or. Maële created art for other antique and Renaissance authors, like [a=Ovid], [a=François Beroalde De Verville], [a=Pierre Choderlos de Laclos], and [a=Denis Diderot], and his contemporaries, including [a648094] under the "Sadinet" pseudonym, [a=Charles Baudelaire]'s pioneering French translations of [a=Edgar Allan Poe], or Aventures Extraordinaires by [a=Sir Arthur Conan Doyle]. Since many of Martin van Maële's works depict minors, partially or fully naked and engaged in frivolous activities, his name regularly comes up in contemporary discussions about the legal and moral status of virtual depictions of nude minors, particularly historically or artistically significant images. In April 2010, one of [a=Wikipedia]'s co-founders, Larry Sanger, published his letter to the FBI, accusing [a=Wikimedia Commons] of hosting "child pornography;" he specifically chose a selection of Maële's graphics and "Lolicon" category as two glaring examples. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Shopping Trolley | "I am unashamedly nostalgic" sings Melanie Pappenheim on the luxurious 'Bring back the Mary Hopkin days', one of 10 songs penned by John Miller on Shopping Trolley's eponymous debut album released on Hannibal Records in 1989 (Hannibal HNBC1349). Shopping Trolley was the band Miller led for several years in the 1980s and early 1990s. John Miller's work aches with a nostalgia for a golden age of English and American rock and pop music often of a somewhat off-centre variety. It is the world of the late Sixties/early Seventies and the annus mirabilis was 1971; reflected in the release by CBS of the double album compilation 'Rockbuster'; an event which Miller credits as a life-changing experience. John Miller's work over his entire career, starting with the superb Painswick Tapes in the late 70s/early 80s and continuing right through to the recent release of 'Preference', captures this era in style with a back catalogue of original songs and excellently judged cover versions. Around the age of 2 in Cobham, Surrey, John Miller began listening to records and hitting things. The lack of a drumkit partially diverted his musical inclinations from furniture to the piano, which he started learning formally at the age of 6. Gradually teaching himself to play by ear, he began making his own jazz/blues/pop concoctions and playing for various shows, concerts and plays. He had also become interested in making tape recordings using keyboards, drums, voices and biscuit tins. In 1989 he wrote and produced the 'Shopping Trolley' album for Hannibal Records, and he has created many more albums for his own 'Polenta' label featuring new and archival material. His work based in London has been highly diverse, with solo and group appearances and gigs with Stackridge, Van Morrison, Jacqui Dankworth, Simon Rackham (as 'Ornamental Balustrade') and many others. He is currently collaborating with the drummer Ben Reed in the duo 'Cardboard'. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Ralph Bakshi | Ralph Bakshi (born October 29, 1938) is an American director of animated and live-action films. In the 1970s, he established an alternative to mainstream animation through independent and adult-oriented productions. Between 1972 and 1992, he directed nine theatrically released feature films, five of which he wrote. He has been involved in numerous television projects as director, writer, producer and animator. Beginning his career at the Terrytoons television cartoon studio as a cel polisher, Bakshi was eventually promoted to animator, and then director. He moved to the animation division of Paramount Pictures in 1967 and started his own studio, Bakshi Productions, in 1968. Through producer Steve Krantz, Bakshi made his debut feature film, Fritz the Cat, released in 1972. It was the first animated film to receive an X rating from the Motion Picture Association of America, and the most successful independent animated feature of all time. Over the next eleven years, Bakshi directed seven additional animated features. He is well known for such films as Wizards (1977), The Lord of the Rings (1978), American Pop (1981) and Fire and Ice (1983). In 1987, Bakshi returned to television work, producing the series Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures, which ran for two years. After a nine-year hiatus from feature films, he directed Cool World (1992), which was largely rewritten during production and received poor reviews. Bakshi returned to television with the live-action film Cool and the Crazy (1994) and the anthology series Spicy City (1997). | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Dennis "Scorcher" Williams | Dennis Williams | In Reggae music, like other genres, artists and producers leave their mark on an industry and then quietly fade away. In the ‘early days in Jamaica – the late 60’s- names like JJ, Clancy Eccles, Coxsone, Duke Reid, Bunny Lee, Prince Buster, Lee Perry, Keith Hudson, Joe Gibson and Randy’s and High Note were the producers known by the public. However, there was one name which kept appearing on some blank ‘killa’ 45s played in the dancehalls: Dennis Williams aka SCORCHER. Every sound system owner spoke about Scorcher. A part of every major sound system’s routine, involved sending the DJ/selector to ‘check wid Scorcher and see what him have.’ Dennis Williams began delivering records to sound system owners at age 12. “I used to deliver records on my roller skates on Sunday mornings when the operators were just getting out of bed,” he recalls. But Williams was to move way beyond that. By age 16, he had teamed up with George Wade and Osmond ‘Junior’ Holton to form ‘The Scorchers’ and did their first record – Ugly Man- for Lloyd the Matador. It was an instant hit with the Jamaican public. It skyrocketed to number one on both Jamaican radio charts, selling some 70,000 copies! And it was then, ‘Lloyd said to me boy you are Scorcher’. The name stuck ever since. Other records charting on the Matador label, included ‘Hold on Tight Mary Ann,’ in 1968 which dethroned the then number one single in Jamaica from the Ethiopians, ‘Everything Crash’’; ‘Tighten Up Yourself’ and ‘What a Condition,’ a song along the lines of ‘Everything Crash.’ Scorcher had proven himself as a producer and began to attract the attention of the biggest names in the business, both artists and studio owners alike. As a producer, Dennis Williams worked with the then Federal Records. Duke Reid, among the biggest names at the time, but it was at Studio One that he really came into his own, producing notable hits of that period, from artists like the Gaylads, Larry Marshall, Bop and the Belltones and a host of still unnamed ‘scorchers’ on blank labels. These were the favorites of the sound systems; the one in a million hits that never made it to radio. Today Dennis Williams is still producing. He migrated to California in 1969 and toured Europe, the US-Pacific region and North America for a while performing at nightclubs and promoting concerts. In 1970, he released the first reggae LP, conceived, recorded and produced in California, “What a Bam Bam.” In 2013 He comes back full circle to his Skinhead Reggae roots teaming up with Jandisc Records producer J Bonner and Jandisc house band ‘the Black Emeralds.’ His single titled ‘Record Breaker’ is due out May 2013 and highlights his ‘talkover’ talents as a deejay proving once again that there’s simply nothing SCORCHER can’t conquer. | Search | Add | 6 | DVJ Kaa | Laurent Jreijiri | Kaa is a pioneer of the Middle East electronic scene, celebrating his tenth year of Dj’ing in 2008, with over a hundred performances worldwide. Born in 1979, and after growing up during the Lebanese civil war, he is expatriated to France in 1989 where he’ll accomplish his education. A musician since his young, he plays the piano, the guitar, oriental percussions and experiments on all kind of hybrid instruments. In 1998 Kaa decides to take his career seriously as a self-accomplished Dj. 1999 was the year where he and his Lebanese friends founded the Beirut Underground (Bug System) project, developing the electronic scene through unique events in the Middle East. After graduating from a French Graphic design school, he decides in 2001 to launch his Vj project, the Visual Suspects; because according to his philosophy the visuals could not exist without the music, they are two elements intimately linked. These two musical and graphic projects will thus be merged together, giving us: The Kaa. Being among the first to initialize a new and single performance of a DJ and a VJ together, creating the term of DVJ - an audiovisual concept completely synchronized. After joining Tribal Vision records, Kaa releases his first compilation called “Cabaret” in June 2008, a concept of the electronic modern ball, featuring highly respected artists from the progressive scene such as Dousk, Luke Porter, Duca, Brisker & Magitman, Tegma and more. His first track “Red Led” co-produced with Motion, also appears on this compilation. In 2008 he became the artistic director and resident dj for the “Progressiv’ nights” parties organized by Gaia Concept at the Nix Nox – in the center of Paris. In charge of making the line -ups, he would be booking some of the most talented artists such as Vibrasphere, Side-A, Solead, Jaia, D-sens, Dj Pena, Dj Ondrej, Dj Mc Gregor just to name a few. Following the steps of his ancestors the Phoenicians, Kaa has performed in many countries such as Mexico, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, India, and all around Europe! He has also played in prestigious venues such as The Mass and the University Of London in the U.K, the Trabendo & the Batofar in Paris, at B018 in Beirut, and more recently in Asia’s biggest club based in New Delhi: The Elevate. He has also been invited to perform at large scale events such as the Techno Parade in Paris and the Street Parade in Bologna. He was in charge of the visual projections during various showcases at the Champs-Elysées’ Fnac. His musical knowledge has made him play with many icons of the electronic scene such as Plasticman aka Richie Hawtin, Jerome Isma-Ae, D-Nox & Beckers, Francesco Farfa, Tall Paul, Antix, Tegma, Atmos, Dj Kristian, Dj Slater, and many more. | Search | Add | 6 | Frenchee | Hair / Glam Metal (Heavy Metal) band from Queens, New York (USA). Luke Luv, founder of Frenchee, started the band back in 1983. The 1st singer was Tony Harnell who eventually left Frenchee to join Rock band TNT. Luke wanted a clean slate and start a new chapter of Frenchee, so he started auditioning new band members. First he started with the bass player situation. Two bass players answered the ad together they were friends from Queens NY and wanted to come down to audition together. They were Kelly Nickels & Punky Lazar. Luke decided on Punky, & Kelly went to Los Angeles and Joined a band called Faster Pussycat but got into a bad motorcycle accident which resulted in a bad broken leg and a long stay in the hospital. Faster Pussycat just signed a Record deal and had to replace him, but shortly after that he joined L.A. GUNS and was they're bass player for the 1st 3 records. Luke liked Punky for his Glam Image and solid and melodic bass playing. It turned out to be the right fit. Next thing on Luke's agenda was finding the right charismatic good looking singer frontman. Well Sable Sex answered the ad and Sable didn't get the nickname "SEX" for nothing! Sables motto was "Sables the Name Sex is the game the man get's all the dames and they're never the same!" When Sable arrived to audition he walked down the stairs with a hot chick on each arm and sounded and looked the part. But it was the crazy off the wall personality that won him the job as Frenchee's fearless leader! Wow he found the right frontman that was just as crazy and partied just as hard as him & Punky. 6 Months earlier Sable meet soon to be drummer Niki Shea at a Rock Nightclub called L'AMOURS the rock capitol of Brooklyn. Niki Shea was on tour at the time with a band opening up for Warlock. Sable called Niki and told him he joined a promising Rock band called Frenchee with a Record company interest from Polygram Records and we need a drummer and your the 1st one that came to mind to complete the Ultimate Glam Sleaze Band. Well the east cost tour was just finishing up for Niki. So he came down for the audition. Luke, Punky & Sable all gave the thumbs up and proceeded to celebrate with a dozen bottles of champagne. Marking the beginning of Frenchee's crazy booze & sex filled debauchery! And Frenchee soon became notorious for there drunken backstage sex party's. Even the Groupies Mom's weren't safe! Some on tour stories can't be told! Due to signing a new Record deal with FnA Records in 2013, Frenchee will be releasing remastered recordings and previously unreleased songs. The FRENCHEE Boy's will be getting back together for a reunion tour, and also look out for a brand new Frenchee album of new songs that you can sink your teeth into.
