Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 11 Aged Machine Jeremy D. Camp Aged Machine started in 1997 as the moniker for Jeremy D. Camp, an electronic musician (not to be confused with the famous Christian rock singer.) He was joined later by his childhood friend, Todd Jackson. Together, they released two CDs, 1998's "Blurred Lines" and 2001's "The Future" - in 2006, after a lengthy hiatus, Aged Machine produced an album titled Numerology, followed by Music from an Alien Lounge, Dancing About Architecture, Factory Reconditioned, Traverse the Universe, and Mythos. (2007-2013) Todd's role in the project has dwindled, and Aged Machine continues on as a solo project, with the occasional guest vocalist thrown in for good measure.

Search Add 11 John Mancini John started writing songs on a cross-country road trip he took after graduating from Rhode Island School of Design. He began performing regularly when he moved to Southern Mississippi in 2004. Returning to his hometown of Baltimore, MD, in 2007, he started JMB, recorded two full-length award-winning albums and toured the Mid-Atlantic from NY to VA until 2012. In 2013, John moved to California to pursue an MFA in Creative Writing. He recently settled in the Bay Area where he recorded Halfway Home, his second EP of 2015. He then formed the newgrass group, Broken Barrels and released their debut album, A Little off the Top, in 2016. Seeking a balance of melody, groove and message, John has published more than forty songs since his 2009 debut, which was praised by Billboard, Relix, Glide, Big Takeover Magazine and others for its songwriting and musicianship. Honing a lyrical folk-rock aesthetic that has come to define his sound, John draws from an Americana tradition shared by artists like Ryan Adams, Tom Petty, Gram Parsons, John Fogerty and Dr. John. His songs have played on non-com radio stations across the country and in Europe. They have also appeared on film and TV in the U.S. and abroad and received praise from top music blogs.

She begun her career at the age of 10 when she took part in a talent competition in Germany and won the first prize. Shortly after, she released a 45-rpm record, and another record at age 13. At the age of 16, she signed a contract with the company TELDEC and created the pop group "Creative Connection" which, with the help of Marino Marinelli (manager of "Modern Talking"), immediately became known throughout Europe. At the end of the 80's the group broke up and she moved permanently to Greece pursuing a solo career. Her first recording participation is on the album "Ta 10 dekaria 2" where she participates in two songs, while the following year her first complete personal record is released by Sony Music Greece entitled "Den se fovame sex (I'm not afraid of you sex)". After an absence of five years she returns in 1996 with the album "As tous na lene (Let them say)" from which many songs became hits such as "Gine fotia", "Afto ine agapi" as well as the self-titled... In 1998 her third album is released album entitled "Ime gineka (I'm a woman)" from which also many songs became hits. After again an absence of 5 years, she returns again, releasing a maxi single with the title "Pligose me" with the song of the same name becoming a hit as well as the song "Aporo" which was also accompanied by an eccentric video clip. This is also the last CD she has released so far, since after that she retired from the music industry to devote herself to motherhood and family. In 2019, after 15 years of absence, she returned by releasing a new song entitled "Thema chronou (=A matter of time)" and making some selective appearances in clubs. Nowadays, she resides in Zakynthos (Zante) island with her family. During the years of her career, Athena collaborated with many big names of Greek music such as: Yannis Poulopoulos, Tolis Voskopoulos, Lefteris Pantazis, Antipas, Konstantina, George Gerolymatos, Katerina Stanisi, Litsa Diamantis, Vassilis Terlegkas, Thanos Kalliris , Christos Dantes, and many others.

Search Add 11 Тибетски Сърца Tibetan hearts are influential Bulgarian electronic music group, which according to some initiated the beginning of electronic music in Bulgaria. The musical group was established in 1991 in Sofia having five members, influenced by new wave style. Later on they elaborated their proper electronic dance music style that would become later known as Tech-Trance, characteristic mostly for the Bulgarian early electronic movement. A year later in 1992, brass-section joined the band and they started experimenting within the music style fusion. In 1993, two of the members - Peter Dundakov and Nikolay Madjarov, aka Faicheto decided to concentrate their creative efforts on electronic music but didn’t change the name of the formation – Tibetski Sartsa. They started working as sound engineers in the Gencho Stoev recording studio and shortly afterwards their first single was produced. It was called after the name of the formation, Tibetski Sartsa, and consisted of three compositions with total time 25 min: `The Age of Tea`, `Hearts of Tibet` and `Twist-a-Polka`. Very soon afterwards `Twist-a-polka` was filmed in a video. The release of the debut single was noticed by the specialized media and the duo was nominated for the Annual Music Awards of Rhythm magazine in four categories - Debut of the year, Single of the year, Video and Producer of the year. In the period 1994 -1998, Tibetski Sartsa were focused on their studio work, thus establishing themselves as one of the best studio teams in Bulgaria. Under the mark `Made by Tibetski Sartsa` appeared theatrical music, the soundtrack for the ballet show `Faust` and many others. 1997 was marked with the appearing of the name Tibetski Sartsa on the Bulgarian dance stage. They created a large number of songs for famous Bulgarian artists, such were the music for Marius' album Love War, remixes of Irina Florin's songs, the sound finish of Avenue's album Labyrinth, etc. In mid-1998, Tibetski Sartsa started working on their debut album `PsychoKinetic` which was released on May 29, 1999. The specialized media acclaimed the album with great positive reviews and Rhythm music magazine put Tibetski Sartsa on the cover of their June issue. `PsychoKinetik` was called the `Bulgarian techno sensation of the year`. It has been sold in more than 6000 copies so far. The participation of Tibetski Sartsa alongside with international techno stars like Josh Wink, Sven Vath, Takyu Ishino etc., in the Metropolis techno parties, brought them popularity abroad. Additional proof for their musical talent was a participation in a techno parade in Paris. It took place in autumn of 1999. As a consequence Tibetski Sartsa received international recognition. The duet faced up the new Millennium with compilation of compositions, they have made since 1991. `91:01` was a retrospective project of Tibetski Sartsa and showed the progress of the electronic music in Bulgaria during the decade, including experimental pieces such as their first single, the theatrical and ballet soundtracks. `91:01` was manufactured in only 500 copies with unique design - hand-made booklet, a real collector's provocation. The album was released for distributing only through the AveNew Productions' site.

Search Add 11 شهرزاد شفيقة محمد السيد (Shafīqa Muḥammad al-Sayyid) Shahrazad was an Egyptian singer and actress born in El Helmiya, a neighborhood of Cairo, on the 8th of January 1928. At a very young age she took part in various films and played a role in the operetta "Al’ashara al Tayyiba" written by Muhammad Taymur and set to music by Sayyed Darwish, a metaphorical work on the domination of the Mammelucks in Egypt. She got her first hit with the song "Awal ma jayt fy al mi'ad", composed by Riad Al Sunbati and played on national radio in 1952. Active during the golden age of Egyptian music, she was shown respect by cult figures like Mohamed Abdel Wahab and Umm Khultum, who said: "Shahrazad is the only singer besides me who can be on stage singing for hours". Collaborated with the best Egyptian composers including: Kamal Al Taweel, Baligh Hamdy, Mohamed El Mougy and Sayed Mekawy. In the early 1960s she began performing monthly concerts in the theaters of El Gomhouriaand Azbakeya consolidating her fame. Although much loved at her home country, Shahrazad is almost unknown to the Western public. Her fame has often been obscured by singers like Najat al Saghira and Umm Khultum. In 2007 the Egyptian Academy of Arts has honored Shahrazad for her exceptional contribution to the development of the fine arts. Shahrazad passed on April 6, 2013. Her niece, film director Heba Yousri, made a documentary on the life and career of the singer titled “ Stu Zad, Awal Ashq” in 2011.

He was writing songs from the age of 10, which impressed [a46481]. In 1958, he was second in a contest organised by the National Association of Boys Clubs and he went on tour with [a305596]. A businessman, Woolfe Bednash, wanted to manage him and, as Bednash's favourite singer was [a27516], he renamed him Mal Perry. Perry recorded for the new Fontana label, owned by Philips, and his first single was a cover of the novelty song, "Lollipop". His big voice was put to better use with "Make Me A Miracle" and he appeared on ITV's Cool For Cats and BBC TV's 6.5 Special. [a298528] invited him to do a record signing in his NEMS shop in Liverpool, but Perry's road manager left the records in the back of a car and they melted in the sun. He was featured in a rock'n'roll show at Liverpool Stadium in 1960 and also in the stage show Wackers' Playtime with [a390808]. He was backed in the Liverpool clubs by the beat groups, Cass and the Cassanovas and the Remo Four and John Lennon asked him, without success, to record the songs he was starting to write with [a35301]. Although Perry recorded five singles including his own song, "The Girl Next Door" and had a residency at the Astor Club in London, he soon gave up the business. "My father wanted me to sing in the synagogue and my mother didn't like me being in London," he said 2007. "I didn't like it much myself. Back then, they thought you were a second class citizen if you came from Liverpool." Perry went into the family retail business and then opened his own clothing store. He often sold suits to the beat groups and he also sang in synagogue choirs. In later years, he did a variety of jobs but the urge to perform never left him. He sang media ads for Colorvision and Johnny Goggles.
