Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 7 | Gamma Men | Steve Gardner, Tom Gallego, Jim Grind, Don Simmons, Darrin Berlin, Dave Elizondo, Gary Meyer | The Gamma Men started in the spring of 1991. The band was more or less founded by Steve Gardner, who is probably best known as the editor of the fanzine Noise For Heroes, a magazine that ran from the early 80s until 1992 and covered punk, garage and power pop bands from around the world. Steve had previously played drums in the band Feeding Frenzy, which included a couple friends he worked with and his ex-wife on bass. Feeding Frenzy played a lot of punk rock standards as well as a whole batch of covers of late 80s Australian and European bands, and a fair number of their own songs. The band split up when Steve and his wife got divorced. After that, he tried out for a few bands but quickly decided that if he was going to be in a band that he was really going to like, he had better try to organize it himself rather than join something already going. more at URL |

Search | Add | 7 | Giuseppe Chelo | GIUSEPPE CHELO (Singer of Sardinian folklore). Born in Sassari in 1938, Giuseppe Chelo is still considered Osilese, as his origins are from Osilo, precisely from the district of San Lorenzo. After a period of careful and passionate apprenticeship, during which he listened to numerous established singers, Giuseppe Chelo happily made his debut at Cargeghe in 1958, along with Chiccheddu Mannoni and guitarist Adolfo Merella. After the official debut at Cargeghe, Giuseppe Chelo performed in Narbolia, this time together with Antonio Nuvoli and guitarist Nicolino Cabizza. But his usual companion became Tonino Canu, as the harmony between the two was as natural as it was perfect, and the performances benefited visibly. They basically represented two rather different ways of singing, but perhaps for this reason the evenings were enriched, brighter and above all interesting for the audience that followed them with great attention and renewed passion. The record production of Giuseppe Chelo is rich and of quality, with considerable public acclaim, which contributed to its success in most of the squares of Sardinia. His performances have landed in Italy and abroad, with great success, as in Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Montecarlo and in other European and Italian cities. We recall that like Terzetto Sardinian, together with Canu and Fara, he recorded several records with the Italian RCA, in Rome. With the name of Duetto Logudorese, together with the guitarist Pietro Fara, he then recorded some tracks on 45 rpm, always in the Italian RCA studios. Among these, the piece entitled "Mi giamana a soldadu", which turned out to be completely popular even with the youngest, was particularly successful. In addition to those just mentioned, the most important recordings concern an LP, produced by UP in Rome, called "The new company of the Sardinian song", recorded together with the cantadore Mario Firinaiu, the guitarist Aldo Cabizza and the accordionist Peppino Pippia; also, "Canzoni fra i nuraghi", produced by Aedo, recorded with Pietro Fara and Peppino Pippia; finally, "Cantos traditionales sardos", produced by the publisher Solinas, accompanied by Antonio Marongiu and Peppino Pippia. Giuseppe Chelo ended his prestigious career in 1989, after 33 years of intense activity. His performances are currently limited to very few occasions, such as special occasions and celebrations and commemorations of other artists. And also on these occasions his talent, certainly among the greatest of the Sardinian guitar song, returns visible and still appreciated.

Godudu. Search | Add | 7 | King Alex | Alex Littlejohn | "King-Alex" was born July 29, 1934 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and passed away March 15, 2008. He grew up with his musical family in Forriday, Louisiana. At age 14, he moved to Kansas City and began his musical training with help from bass lessons from Claude "Fiddler" Williams. Formal training at UMKC's Conservatory of Music helped Alex refine his ability to play the bass and he was the first African-American bassist to play an electric bass in Kansas City through the Conservatory. He was a career musician living and working the rest of his life in Kansas City. He performed at local venues, regional and national blues and jazz festivals. He performed with the late Tommy Soul, Lester "Wizard" King, Albert Collins, B.B. King, Jerry Lee Lewis, Lawrence Wright and the Outlets, Leon Estelle, "Little-Joe" Robinson and Claude "Fiddler" Williams - just to name a few. His group The Turnpikes recorded a couple of sides in the late 1950's for the Central label, followed by more sides in the early 1960's for Spindle. There was a long gap of 15 years before recording a single for NMI in 1979 and another 15+ years before he entered the most productive era of recording, as a slew of full-length albums came out in in the 1990s and early 2000s. Littlejohn was inducted into the Elder Statesmen of Kansas City Jazz in 2002 along with former employer and life-long friend Richard "Dick" Berkley. |

In 1970, were influenced by their favourite groups and they began to compose their own songs. in 1973 they believed the moment arrived to record a disc. The chosen label was Mag, because there worked as a sound engineer a friend of theirs: Saúl Cornejo (Laghonia, We All Together, etc.). Possibly seeing the great quality of the material brought by Grupo Amigos, Saúl decided to contribute with his contribution on keyboards and added his brother Manuel Cornejo on drums. |

These things are our INSURANCE against death.” – Mortality Tables, ‘On Mortality, Immortality & Charles Ives’ (2022) E Peritia Ratio: reason from experience. Nothing happens without context. Every event has a catalyst. There is no such thing as a blank page. So it goes that each Mortality Tables Product must begin with an outline of an initial creative concept – a thought; a notion; a moment of serious whimsy; a considered reflection on life, memory, love, loss, trauma, death. We document those ideas, then invite collaborators to respond freely to them. They may ignore us. They may say no. They may say yes. Whoever we invite to participate shall be unencumbered by restriction, constraint, expectation, convention, limit or judgement. There are never any right or wrong answers, because there are no questions. There is nothing more than the idea and the response. Mortality Tables Est.

Search | Add | 7 | Stuffed Spider | Matt Parish | Built on years of mucking around with rickety tape recorders, B-movie synth sounds, crusty guitar strings, and phantom rehearsal spaces, the music of Stuffed Spider exists in a kind of time warp. It layers decades-old recordings between sheets of electronic melody, tactile guitar work and squelching synths. The result is dark patchwork of instrumental collage, drawing inspiration from opposite ends of the musique concrete spectrum (Pierre Shaefer to Kid Koala), ghostly horror film music, and busted old slabs of industrial noise. Boredoms. Burial. Bartók. After a few years of lowkey collaborations with artist friends on the East Coast and Nashville, Stuffed Spider's first full recording Secret Speech is set for release on November 6. The album – released digitally on Bandcamp and in limited edition cassette tape – crawls through a layered history of post-revolution unease, wandering through echoes of Soviet insecurity, reeducation dogma, religious consumerism, Western identity crises, and, naturally, decay. A member of '00s noise-rock group Ho-Ag, Parish has performed across the US and Europe with groups like Daughters, Deerhoof, Melvins, Melt-Banana, HEALTH, Dan Deacon, Wolf Eyes, Nautical Almanac, Pile and many many more. |

Search | Add | 7 | Lowball Jack | Jack Friederichsen | It all started with a fascination for rare records located deep in Texas pawnshop cut out bins. It came together one late afternoon at a back o’ town chicken ‘n’ whatever joint called Ludie Mae’s. A knife-wielding patron jumped into the open door of a long, black, early ’70′s oldsmobile. He was looking for cash and trouble. He demanded to know what the hell was on the numerous crazy-looking, home-brewed cassette tapes scattered across the dashboard. His shiny blade waved and danced all around the front seat. The front door of the joint busted open. A man in dark glasses and long dreadlocks came out walking fast with a cocked revolver in his hand. Gold teeth gleamed as he ordered the problem patron out of the car. With a quick gesture, two of Mr. Johnson’s boys hauled the freak out the window, and tossed him hard into the road. Mr. Johnson explained that life was bad for everyone, but this was his place. Something had to be done. He spoke with the cool and poise of a shaman as he slid his piece back into his waistband. All this took place in slow motion while throbalicious, deep fried grooves pulsated across the chicken shack’s rough gravel parking lot with a tremendous low-end thump. The world seemed… full of possibility. Some of it… even good. LOWBALL JACK (a.k.a. Jack Sprat), [Deceased and we are eternally bummed but so happy to have made music and history together] soaked up the heavy beats and twangy accents emanating from his native Texas/Louisiana border, and rode them all the way to the Big Nipple. He’s screwed lids on bleach bottles, hawked snake oil to rich people, managed some folk’s fortunes and other’s addictions to take the listener on journeys ranging from trip hop to monster fuzz to the cosmic American funk of “ALL JONES NO BUZZ“, “URBAN NOISE DIRTY POISON“, “PHOTO NEGATIVE“, and “BUG“. His fresh new EP, “UNDERBELLY” is covered with illicit downtown dirt. You can also find Jack playing guitar and co-producing Thirsty artists WITHERIN’ JOHNSON (“AND THE HORSE YOU RODE IN ON”), PARTY APES (“ERASE YOUR TAPES“) and LOS CONFABULATORS (“‘SUP “). He co-produced KELVYN BELL‘s ridiculously funky new “CUBED ROOT CURE” as well as the stripped down “ST. LOUIS BLU: KELVYN BELL PLAYS ACOUSTIC GUITAR” and the avant electric jazz monsterpiece, “FUNK 4 WHA CHA KNOW“. Jack also produced QUEEN ESTHER‘s acclaimed debut slice of Black Americana, “TALKIN’ FISHBOWL BLUES“. Follow LOWBALL JACK on SoundCloud Contact: information@thirstyrecords.com |

Search | Add | 7 | Nika Machaidze | ნიკოლოზ მაჩაიძე (Nikolos Machaidze) | Nika Machaidze (b. 1972) is a Georgian musician, producer, composer, and filmmaker, best known for his electronic music projects [a=Nikakoi] and [a=Erast]. He is a member of Goslab artist group and a cousin of the artist and filmmaker [a=Salome Machaidze]. Born in a family of well-known Georgian cinematographers, Nika Machaidze studied at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film University in Tbilisi, graduating in animation (1992) and film direction (1997). From 1991 to 2000, he worked as an author, director, composer and film editor for the state Georgian television, as well as Rustavi 2 broadcasting company. Machaidze started making electronic music in the mid-nineties, combining digital noises and IDM rhythms with melancholic melodies (often inspired by Georgian folk music). In 1999, Nika won Grand Prix at the Electronic Music Festival in Paris, where he appeared under a new artistic pseudonym 'Nikakoi' (as suggested by a friend [a=Thea Djordjadze]. In Russian, Никакой means “none”, “undefined”, “featureless”). Nikakoi released his debut album [r=106252] in 2002 on [l=WMF Records] in Berlin, followed by [r=178243] next year. In 2004, Machaidze presented his new alter ego, Erast, and released [r=267413] and [r=329573] EPs (second and third releases on a recently established [l=Laboratory Instinct] label). Erast is a reference to Erast Fandorin, a main character of a critically acclaimed book series by Boris Akunin. Nika released [r=506712], a debut full-length album by Erast, in 2006. In 2009, Nikakoi returned with two releases on Laboratory Instinct: 2xCD compilation [r=2081020] (best tracks from both albums plus unreleased material), and a new double ambient album [r=2081000]. This work marked a significant shift in Nikakoi's artistic style and consisted of two rhythmless ambient tracks and a collection of sublime piano-based electronic soundscapes on the second disc. In 2012, Nikakoi released a new album in Japan – [r=3558829], a collaboration with Tokyo-based musician [a=Coppé]. His most recent work, [r=9289110] EP, was released on [l=Transfigured Time] in 2016. Nika Machaidze composed soundtracks for Archil Kavtaradze, Salome Machaidze, Zaza Rusadze and other notable Georgian movie directors. He also wrote music for several theatrical plays, such as The Park by [a=Botho Strauß]. Machaidze is closely tied and had been collaborating extensively with [a=Natalie Beridze] (also known as [a=TBA (2)] and [a=Tusia Beridze]) and [a=George Dzodzuashvili] ([a=Post Industrial Boys]). |

Search | Add | 7 | DE3IVAT | DE3IVAT is one more brainchild of multmedia artists Mirco Dalos & Christoffer Grunau. After putting T3AFO to rest with a huge mass of audio samples, fragments, visuals and ideas flying around, there was hardly a thought of finishing. It's merely in the art of stopping and starting again that gave birth to DE3IVAT. Joy, fun and the idea of »let's see what happens« had to be the defined watchwords for bringing something to the table again. As multi-media location-based art involves many many people, budgets, negotiations and, yes, also frustrations at time, DE3IVAT is home-made, ever-fresh, like a child-play. So we assess all available data from the T3AFO archive, take our field recorders & cameras for walks and rides again, liberate us from constraining thoughts and produce material that is as light as it is satisfying. Take a noise here, perform a beat there, find a voice that might not be listened to and mould it into NOI_ES POP. DE3IVAT's first major operation is a six-EP-series, starting August 31st, 2018. The objective is to release a product all three months ending Xmas 2019 with an extra special product that still needs to define itself. So now it's up to you to enjoy: Play our music loud or not at all. To hell with any bullshit!

Search | Add | 7 | Diane Marie Kloba | Diane Marie Kloba is a Chicago-based singer-guitarist-songwriter who has ploughed a unique furrow, with uncompromising creative integrity, across eight studio albums and numerous shorter recordings, with another two full-length records ready for imminent release. Diane’s music is characterised by its uniqueness, by its sense of difference, although that difference isn’t some kind of self-consciousness exoticism, or a theatrical otherness, or yet the atavistic social transgression that is arguably a facet of all pop-music. Diane’s difference is more a kind of personalised strangeness: it’s the same kind of difference that makes you you, and me me. Her work as a composing musician began in 1997, and since that time Diane has released eight full-length albums, along with many shorter releases and collaborations. In her solo work, Diane plays most of the instruments herself, including guitar, drums, percussion and synthesizers, although other contributors are present on some recordings. Diane has released collaborative recordings with creative musicians around the world in a wide variety of styles, and has received airplay on many radio stations globally. This has enabled her to reach a diverse and appreciative audience, and she has received a lot of positive critical attention. Her songs are sometimes recognisable riffs on the pop song form, and at other times they are overtly experimental, but there is never anything abrasive or ‘difficult’ about them. Across all of her varied releases there is a consistent dedication to presenting the unalloyed truth of her experience within the recognisable format of the song, her many and illuminating creative insights offered to the listener with directness and generosity. She welcomes her audience with warmth and wonder into the capacious dwelling that is her uniquely creative heart.
