Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 7 | Cre•scen•do | From Los Angeles, California Cre·scen·do is the combination of passion, late dreamy-filled nights, and utter love for music. The band has been slowly coming together to it’s completed state since Gregory Cole [Guitarist and Singer] had other projects in the works and decided to take steps forward to revolutionize a new style and sound. It was with this realization that their path toward making their debut album began to unfold. Cre·scen·do formed through the help of John Glenn Kunkel of The New Division under the backdrop of Los Angeles, California. With this combination of talent, determination, and the occasional late-night out to talk about their lives, music, and desires, the band coined their style under the genre “DreamGaze”: a combination of Shoegaze and Dream-pop elements that encapsulate the entirety of the band – a group of individuals with a love for music, and a dream to further their lives with it. Cre•scen•do currently consists of Gregory Cole, Olive Kimoto, and Jess Krichelle. | |

| Search | Add | 7 | Magnus Hjelte | Magnus Hjelte got into the world of electronic music in the beginning of the nineties. Inspired by the English and German techno scene, Magnus started together with his friend Mikael Persson the techno label G-Force records in 1995. At the same time Magnus bought his first music equipment and started to produce music. In the year 2000, Magnus Hjelte got his first dj-equipment, and began to play as a dj. This would be something that would take him deeper into the world of electronic music. The same year G-Force was transformed into the Backbone rhythm collective. A collective with a broader view on music, stretching from the house label Eloge, to the deep techno label Facets and the hard rhythm label GFR. During the summer 2001 Magnus will start a new techno label called 8th Army, a label that will release the darker and harder music from the late G-Force records. A number of new releases on different labels world wide, and cooperation with both Swedish and foreign artists will take both the 8th Army and Magnus as a dj, through the beginning of the new millennium. This won’t be the last words… | |

| Search | Add | 7 | Heybale | The Band, the Myth, the Legend... Heybale! has been holding down Sunday nights at the Continental Club in Austin since 2000. In the current band incarnation, Tom Lewis is playing drums, Redd Volkaert holds court on guitar, Earl Poole Ball pounds out the piano, Kevin Smith plays bass, and Dallas Wayne plays rhythm guitar. With a constant stable of the town’s very best players, the sounds coming from the stage on any Sunday night bring in dancers, hipsters, late nighters and off-duty musicians. Ironically, the beginning of Heybale! was actually at the End -- a club in Nashville where the band played its first performance. The only “post-Nashville” members of the band at that time were Tom and Redd, although they did meet a country singer named Gary Claxton who had recently moved to Nashville from Oklahoma. In 2000, Tom decided to move to Austin where he ran into Earl – they had met previously at the Palomino in Hollywood nearly 10 years before then. Within that same year, Redd and Gary also relocated to Austin, and by June of that year Heybale! had been resurrected. Come on out and kick up your heels on Sunday nights at the Continental Club; you won't regret it. Enjoy! | |

| Search | Add | 7 | Grim Mortality | Grim Mortality | Grim Mortality began its journey in 2002, although at the time, the duo of Hardluck and Sandman were known as "Headhuntaz." The group was in its early stages, cutting their teeth in the underground rap scene while honing their signature dark and ominous sound. During their time as Headhuntaz, they released their first CD, Still Creepin', which captured the raw, unfiltered energy of their early work and started to build a buzz for the duo. In 2005, the group underwent a transformation, rebranding themselves as Grim Mortality to better reflect the evolving themes of their music—grim, haunting, and steeped in vivid, often macabre storytelling. Under their new name, Grim Mortality released their second album, Improper Burial, a chilling and intense project that cemented their place in Seattle's underground hip-hop scene. Over the years, Grim Mortality continued to grow, releasing a series of albums that showcased their dark, introspective lyrics and hard-hitting beats. Their discography includes Grim Tales, Free 4 All, Dark Overcast, Afraid of the Dark, and Cutz from the Grave, each project adding to their legacy of eerie, hardcore rap. Their latest release, Macabre Mentality, represents the culmination of years of experience, highlighting their evolution as artists while staying true to the grim aesthetic that has defined their career. Through dedication and consistency, Grim Mortality has remained a pillar in the underground rap community, crafting music that explores themes of fear, darkness, and survival in a world that often feels as menacing as their lyrics. |

| Search | Add | 7 | The Infamous Arab | Chicago born Kid Heartbreak began his professional mixing career back in 1996 while still a teenager with his first mix tape titled "Chapter One". This was a freestyle medley as Kid had become very interested in freestyle music during his high school years, even though rap music was his first love. The success of his first couple mix tapes on the streets of Chicago inspired a situation where Kid was coming out with a new mix tape every month (freestyle or rap). By 1998, Kid Heartbreak had established himself as one of Chicago's most elite mix tape djs. After several years of networking and establishing connects with other artists, producers, and underground record labels, Kid was able to release a fully licensed album in 2003 featuring many tracks exclusive to that CD. There was also a 12" release from the CD, featuring full dj versions along with acapellas of 3 of the hottest tracks on the album. Kid is also the executive producer behind the Ill Clicks Militia, a rap group that he discovered during the mix tape years. Between the years of 1997 to 2004, Kid released over 30 different mix tape titles combining to sell over 70,000 units. The Chicago mix tape scene is now far subdued compared to what it once was, but Kid Heartbreak continues to do his thing. Kid has a master's degree in accounting as well as a CPA. Music and accounting together make up Kid Heartbreak's life. Kid Heartbreak had always wanted to spit his own freestyle song and earlier this year, completed this track "Thoughts of Her". This song is written and produced by Kid Heartbreak himself. He Passed Away In 2017 R.I.P. A Chicago Legend Forever | |

Then they became known as Union Grass, a bluegrass and bluegrass gospel band. As Union Grass started singing southern gospel songs, their first singing engagement was at Oak Grove Church in Sharps Chapel, Tennessee. Nancy Cole came up with a new name for Union Grass, that would cover bluegrass, bluegrass gospel, southern gospel and country gospel. The new name was The Betterway Quartet. Expanded its booking area from East Tennessee to eventually include 10 states. Betterway now was booking larger churches and festivals, and appearing on Mull’s TV Show on Channel 10 in Knoxville, Tennessee. In 1982, Mull’s Gospel Show featuring Betterway played to a packed crowd at Horace Maynard High School at Maynardville, Tennessee, their home county. At this time, Shannon Walker became Betterway’s manager and their bookings greatly increased. They were performing at concerts with The Primitive Quartet, The Paynes, The Spencers, The Inspirations and The Cooks. They also performed regularly on WJBZ 96.3 that was Mull’s radio station. They performed on television in Indiana, Ohio and Bristol, Tennessee. They were also featured on Grant Turner’s Early Bird Show that aired at 5:45 a.m. Monday - Friday on WSM 650 AM radio station that was the home of the Grand Ole Opry on Friday and Saturday nights. They made videos with Eddie Crook Gospel Music Productions. They recorded albums, eight track tapes and later cassettes and CDs in Nashville. They performed at an Amish Festival in Pennsylvania along with The Primitive Quartet and others. Stuart Wyrick joined as singer, musician and bus driver around 1984 or 1985. | Search | Add | 7 | Big Bad Baz | Barry Christie | BigBadBaz (born Barry Christie on 3rd September 1983) is an English born dance music producer. Barry was born in Sunderland, Tyne & Wear but spent most of his life living in Northamptonshire. Inspired by the work of sampling artists such as Fatboy Slim and The Prodigy, Barry started to make sample based dance music in the late 90s. Continuing to produce music under the pseudonym BigBadBaz (a name suggested by friends as a moniker) he released his first productions on vinyl in September 2002. Barry's continued use of samples became less derivative in 2002 and 2003 with more and more internet only releases using larger samples from tracks akin with the Mash up scene that was growing at the time. This similarity brought Barry's music some publicity and found his music being championed by Radio stations across the world, cashing in the fad of mixing one or more popular songs together. Continuing on with the same style of music that brought about Call On Me, BigBadBaz released a white label album Generic Prydz. The name was a light-hearted poke at the amount of copycat songs that were filling the dance floor in 2005. Calling America and So Many Nights on that album began getting some radio play so in 2006 these were picked up by Prank Monkey Records and given a vinyl only release. "So Many Nights" (even though technically a B-Side) began getting some airplay and was picked up by Radio 1 DJ's . |

During basic training in the 152nd Depot Brigade, one of his fellow buglers was Irving Berlin, and Metterle liked to tell the story that Berlin's famous song "Oh, How I Hate to Get Up in the Morning" (1918) was inspired by their group practicing the call to reveille. Led German bands in New York City between the 1910s and 1940s. | Search | Add | 7 | Γιώργος Σισιλιάνος | Greek contemporary composer. Aka George or Yorgo Sicilianos. Athens, 29 Αυγούστου 1920 - 29 Μαρτίου 2005. Yorgo Sicilianos (1920-2005) is one of the most important figures of musical modernism in Greece. Born in Athens, he studied theory and composition with Kostas Sfakianakis, Marios Varvoglis and George Sklavos; from 1951 to 1953 he continued his studies at the Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome with Ildebrando Pizzetti, receiving a diploma in composition in 1953. While in Italy he was introduced to the music of Béla Bartók and the composers of the Second Viennese School, which proved influential on his later development, since it played a decisive role in his decision to turn to contemporary musical idioms. After Italy he attended Tony Aubin’s course in composition at the Conservatoire National in Paris (1953–54) and the classes of Walter Piston at Harvard University, Boris Blacher at the Tanglewood Institute and Vincent Perischetti at the Juilliard School of New York (1955–56). In New York, Sicilianos made the acquaintace of fellow Greek, conductor Dimitri Mitropoulos. Later (in March 1958), Mitropoulos premiered Sicilianos’ First Symphony, op. 14 (1956) with the New York Philharmonic. In 1956 Sicilianos returned to Greece permanently. At that time, he was one of the first Greek composers to follow modernist trends in music. He went on to produce a total output that consists of 63 works and encompasses all genres: symphonic music, chamber music, piano music, song cycles, opera, ballet, incidental music and more. Parallel to his work as a composer, Sicilianos was an active participant in Greek music life. He served as Head of the Music Department of the Greek Broadcasting Institute (1960–62), General Secretary of the Ministry of Education’s Greek Music Council (1963–64), Vice–president of the Greek section of the International Society for Contemporary Music and the Greek Association of Contemporary Music (1964–68 and 1965–69 respectively), Head of the Music Department of Greek Broadcast and Television (1974), member of the Artistic Committee and the Board of Trustees of the Greek National Opera (1976–79 and 1980–81 respectively), President of the Greek Composers’ Union (1981–89), member of the Board of Directors of Greek Radio and Television (1987–88) and President of the Artistic Committee of the Greek National Opera (1990–94). Throughout his career Sicilianos received significant distinctions. In 1962 he won the third prize at the Liège International String Quartet Competition for his String Quartet no. 3, op. 15 and his works were chosen twice to represent Greece at the Festival of the International Society for Contemporary Music (Stasimon B, op. 25, Madrid, 1965 and Perspectives, op. 26, Prague, 1967). He was also honoured for his contribution to music with the following medals and prizes: Cavaliere “al merito della Republica Italiana” (Rome, 1962), Chevalier des Arts (Paris, 1990), Herder Prize (Vienna, 1991) and the Eirini G. Papaioannou Prize of the Academy of Athens (1994). Finally, in 1999 he received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Athens. Sicilianos’ work can be divided into three periods. The first period, during which he followed tonal and modal idioms, includes works he wrote until 1953, the year in which he finished his studies in Italy, when he still believed that the future of Greek music lay “at the point where Byzantine Chant intersects with Greek Folk Song”. The second period started with the Concerto for Orchestra, op. 12 (1954), where Sicilianos used for the first time the twelve-tone technique. This period, characterised by his seeking of and experimentation in contemporary musical trends (the twelve-tone technique, serialism, post-serialist techniques, electronic music), lasted about 25 years. Mellichomidi, op. 44 (1980) signalled the passage into a third period, during which the composer turned consciously to a more melodic and accessible idiom. | |

| Search | Add | 7 | Rigo Maldonado | Rigoberto Maldonado | I was born and raised in the small town of Rupert, Idaho. I spent some time living in Austin, Salt Lake City, Seattle and Nashville before settling in New York. I have had some amazing musical experiences throughout my life which include performing on the stages of the Grand Ole Opry and Radio City Music Hall as well as performing to a crowd of 10,000 people in Indianapolis, Indiana. Through my involvement with the renowned Christ Church Choir in Nashville, I was able to record and perform with the likes of Carman, Charlie Daniels, Kim Boyce, Dolly Parton and many others. I was also part of a couple of video shoots with Bill Gaither's Homecoming Series which are still seen on television to this day. My back-up vocalist experience had just started to pick up when I followed my heart and relocated to Long Island, New York. Music continued to be something that I was a part of while working with a couple of church choirs and a short stint in the wedding band industry. I was even a part of a dinner theater group for a short while. Here we are in 2020 and WOW!!! A lot of lives have been changed with the Covid-19 pandemic. Reevaluation of what's important and how I want to spend the next chapter of my life has definitely been brought to the forefront of my thinking. During a forced quarantine, Mark Chadwick and I decided to record some love songs from the past as well as 2 original songs. The result, Love's The Only Way, released on October 30, 2020. |
