Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 10 | Dave.LXR | Dave began to play as a DJ in 1999 and also created the LUXOR sound system with his friends that year. He used to play just hardtek, but also discovered more styles and began to play UK acid techno, hardfloor, crossbreed, hardcore etc.. Music is his whole life, so he also wanted to do it as his "work" . He opened his own vinyl shop, called LXRECORDS in 2002. He has really good access to all the records, so he can choose the best ones for his set…that´s the big big advantage:) His sets are full of energy, with long precise mixes, that´s why he became popular and not only in the Czech Republic, he also destroyed dancefloors around the Europe. His speciality is 3 decks pumpin´tekno set. In 2004 Dave established his own record label with the same name as his vinyl shop – LXRECORDS and started to focus on production and liveset. He released more than 10 releases on labels such as LXRECORDS, DEMONTAGE, 10TRACTION, OLD SKULL or PIRAT UNIT. Dave's tracks and sets are usually not only in one style, he prefers to mix more styles together and make a „story“. Dave also created the new project Substance-D with his friends in 2008, which is more focused on dirty electro & breaks and in 2012 his new project DEXIDE focused on neurofunk, darkstep, crossbreed and industrial hardcore.

Search | Add | 10 | Moshe Ganchoff | (1904 – 1997) Known with deep respect throughout his life as “the cantor’s cantor.” His many recitative compositions seamlessly combine eastern European improvisatory tradition with subtle innovations, reflecting the theological and literary as well as the emotional implications of the prayer texts. Born in Odessa, his family settled initially in Toledo, Ohio, where, by coincidence, a number of great cantors served and where a general appreciation for hazzanut prevailed. In Toledo, as a youth, Ganchoff sang in the choir of Cantor [a=Simon Zemachson], who also conducted and wrote for the choir. Also in his Toledo days, he was inspired by such celebrated guest cantors as [a=Mendel Shapiro] and [a=Cantor Aryeh Leib Rutman], who thus shaped his artistic horizons. Later, as a young man, he went to New York, there he benefited from tutorial work with Hazzan [a=Joshua Lind], and he sang in synagogue choirs directed by such respected choirmasters as [a=Leo Low (2)] and [a=Meyer Machtenberg], and with such star cantors as [a=Yossele Rosenblatt] and [a=Mordechai Hershman]. By the 1940s Ganchoff had emerged as a star cantor. Through the 1970s he served a number of the New York area’s most prestigious traditional synagogues; recorded some of his own settings as well as pieces from the classical European synagogue repertoire; and made concert tours of Europe, Central and South America, and Israel. Ganchoff taught cantorial students for many years at the [a=Hebrew Union College School Of Sacred Music Chorus], influencing entire generations of young cantors.

Search | Add | 10 | Emanuel Eisbrenner | Emanuel Eisbrenner | **Emanuel Eisbrenner: Berlin's Underground Techno Artist** Emanuel Eisbrenner, a Berlin-based artist, has devoted his life to the underground techno scene since 1993. Known for his ability to ignite dancefloors and transport listeners on sonic journeys, Eisbrenner has firmly established himself in the world of underground techno. His signature style seamlessly blends pulsating beats with hypnotic melodies, creating an immersive sound experience that captivates audiences. Emanuel's musical journey began at the age of seven with a Yamaha keyboard. Over the years, he expanded his toolkit with a Commodore C-64 computer, a Roland D-10 synthesizer, and an Amiga 500, allowing him to experiment with MIDI, sampling, and sequencing long before he even knew where this would lead him. His fascination with electronic soundscapes deepened after a DJ family friend's introduction to the film "Beat Street," sparking his passion for electronic dance music. Emanuel soon acquired an 8-track mixer and began his sound experiments, drawing inspiration from the pioneers of techno and electronic music. Emanuel Eisbrenner's dedication to his craft led him to develop a unique musical identity within the techno scene. His productions, much like his DJ sets, push the boundaries of conventional techno. His tracks are known for their meticulous attention to detail, haunting soundscapes, and intricate layering. By combining analog warmth with digital production techniques, he creates a sonic palette that is both deep and immersive. He studied audio engineering at the SAE College in Berlin, earning a diploma focused on analog sound synthesis. Throughout his career, Emanuel has collaborated with several Berlin techno artists, including Mad Max and Gianni Vitiello, in projects such as Subdealers. His connections extended across the Atlantic when he met Tom Linder and DJ Seoul from Detroit's Detroit Techno Militia at Tresor club, who played his tracks in their 2x4 showcase. They invited him to Detroit, where he played his first set in 2016 at the legendary BangTech 12 party. This experience felt like a homecoming for Emanuel, and he has returned annually, fostering a creative exchange and deepening his love for Detroit's techno scene. During the pandemic, Emanuel embraced streaming as a tool to share his sound with a global audience. He joined the platform techno-club.net, becoming one of its resident artists. As the techno landscape continues to evolve, Emanuel Eisbrenner remains at the forefront, pushing sonic boundaries and inspiring audiences with his authenticity and skill on the turntables. His influence leaves an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of music lovers around the world. **Techno! Never less!** |

Search | Add | 10 | Medroxy Progesterone Acetate | Darren Bauler | Medroxy Progesterone Acetate began in 1999 after the official termination of tape-junk combo BFP. Wandering around Iowa (with occasional sabbaticals in Texas and Minnesota) collecting field recordings of storm drains, rural graveyards and abandoned barns, primary MPA member D. Bauler began treating these tapes with magnets, solvents and modified recording equipment, adding homemade signal-damaging circuits and empty synth drones to create a string of albums on the vanity label Midwest Death Cult, most of which were then given away to strangers or left in public places. Occasional live performances took place in an empty machine shed called the Hudson Machinery Network (now dismantled) and endless anonymous basements. Collaborated with Chicago hoodlums Number None for the Damp and Damned cassette on Sloow Tapes in 2005. Thank you and good night. |

Search | Add | 10 | Len Maxwell | Lenny Maxwell | American comedian, voice actor and announcer. Born: August 8, 1930 in Inglewood, California. Died: May 13, 2008 in Los Angeles, California. Stand-up comedian on his early career, he appeared on The Tonight Show several times, a CBS special called, The Nut House and an NBC special called The Future Lies Ahead while also appearing in night clubs and theaters in Las Vegas, New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles with entertainers including Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Lena Horne, Ella Fitzgerald to name but a few. During this time, he dabbled in management, helping to launch Neil Sedaka's solo career.[1] At an engagement at New York's Copacabana, a producer for an advertising agency approached Len and asked him if he would be willing to do some of the voices in his act on a series of commercials. Len agreed. Two weeks later, when he received a check for the few hours of what was an easy and enjoyable experience, Len was shocked at the large amount of the check. He called the advertising agency, saying there had to be some mistake. They said they would look into it. Two days later, a representative of the agency called back and apologized for the error and said they would send Len the rest. It was at that moment that Len decided to make voice-overs his career. During Len's career in voice-overs, he recorded over 25,000 commercials, including the voice for "Punchy" the iconic Hawaiian Punch mascot - plus dozens of animated cartoons, and voice-overs in motion pictures. Len won the advertising industry's coveted CLIO award for best voice-over actor/announcer. He co-wrote and co-produced the short animated film The Crunch Bird in which he did all five voices. The film won the Academy Award for best animated short. He also directed the sound track for the film. He also provided several voices for the 1970 Christmas animated special, The Night the Animals Talked. He supplied the voices of Karate and The Chief in the children's cartoon series Batfink, and the judge in the animated feature Hugo the Hippo. Len wrote some comedy with Woody Allen. He appeared with Allen on screen in Allen ’s What's Up Tiger Lily, and did the voices of most of the main characters in that film. Voice-overs in Allen’s Take the Money and Run and Sleeper followed. He and Allen remained friends until his death. He was also the voice of the color analyst Nick Diamond in the MTV animated series Celebrity Deathmatch from 1998-2002. He was credited in most episodes as Barry Manos. In 1964, Maxwell released the Christmas/Monster-themed LP, "A Merry Monster Christmas". This album entertained families for decades with its head-on collision of classic movie monsters with traditional Christmas observances. The album became difficult to find until Maxwell updated and re-released it on CD in 2005. |

The Goup began to write their own material focussing upon songs about the Black Country- an area often described as “ all those towns and villages situated on the 30 foot coal seam”. It roughly encompasses Dudley, Cradley Heath, parts of Wolverhampton, Walsall and West Bromwich, in the UK. The Group formed its own show- The Giggetty Black Country Show- which featured the cream of the local guest artists and comedians such as Anuyk and Ayli, Dolly Allen, Tommy Mundon, poets Ron Burns, Harry Harrison, Jim Williams and Geoff Stevens, historian Winston Homer and more latterly the superbly talented Dandy and Black Country stalwart Lizzie Wiggins. The Group gigged their way through three decades at the rate of 100 appearances a year. The last original member, Brian Langtry, retired eventually due to health reasons in 1997

Search | Add | 10 | Alexey Luka | Алексей Лучко (Alexey Luchko) | Alexey Luka was born in 1983 in Moscow, where he currently lives and works. Among the most talented and influential young artists in the Russian contemporary art scene. With a background in architecture studies, the Russian artist developed a unique and recognizable style, based on the use of abstract geometric shapes and chromatic variations. Perfectly comfortable with different techniques, spray paints, acrylic paints, sculpture, and collage, Alexey Luka creates complex compositions in which the colors and geometric lines interact, resulting in a sort of puzzle to decipher. The observer is left, therefor, to reconstruct and consequently interpret the image, starting precisely with the colors that suggest shapes: faces, characters and landscapes alternate in a game of perception that activates our imagination. Through the composition and decomposition of the shapes and the chromatic combinations, with references to Constructivism and Neo-plasticism, the artist aims to tell a story, to evoke a situation or a vision, in an entirely unusual and original way. |

He enjoys experimenting with electronic sounds, moving towards uptempo tracks made for the dancefloor, combining genres like House and Broken Beat. Even though, one should not categorize his music, being that it’s more about exposing an unpolished and raw vibe! Making the bridge between samples and self produced loops and soundscapes, 'the Kamu' has quite fast come up with his own distinct and playful sound. As he likes to call it: "Nordnes Funk". Together with long-time partner in crime, Jungelen-boss Simon Alejandro, they’ve released several projects on their label during the last seven years – both digitally and on limited runs of vinyl.
