Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Sam Sitarasa | Samuel J. Dass | Samuel J. Dass, or Sam as he is fondly known in the music circle, was born on the 16th of March, and started his love affair with the Sitar at the tender age of 7. His first guru was his father, Mr. Jabamalai Dass, who drilled in him the basics of sitar playing. He then joined The Temple of fine Arts Malaysia, where he learnt the finer nuances of this traditional art-form from Mr. Maheswaran Orme. At the same time he also sought the guidance of Giani Bachitar Singh, who inculcated in him the characteristics of the various Hindustani Raagas. He also underwent training from Mr. Raj Kumar Sharma and Professor Haridev of Chandighar University under whom he was able to obtain the ‘Sageeth Bushan’ which is equivalent to a senior diploma in music. In the year 2002, Sam had the good fortune to study the finer intricacies of the sitar under the world renowned sitar maestro Ustad Shahid Parvez in Pune ,India. He was under Shahidji’s guidance for 7 months and his talent was acknowledged by the senior musician himself. Sam has been proclaimed as one of our times most exciting sitar players and has left audiences around the world mesmerized by his style of ‘gayaki ang’, meaning literally “to ‘play as though sung”. He has done much for Hindustani music in Malaysia, infusing both classical and contemporary genres in sitar recitals and coming out with inventive & creative albums. Sam has an uncanny ability to bring alive the subtle nuances and melodic beauty hidden in the soaring notes of the ragas in elegant and even cheeky interpretations. Imbibed with catholicity and flair, his style, although traditional in nature, has an artistic intelligence geared to the refinements and sophistication needed in the modern world. Defining Sam as a sitarist would be of great disservice to an individual who has added immensely to the expansion of Indian music in Malaysia. He has been performing since he was a teenager and has strove to introduce music genres that were quite alien to the masses. Over a decade ago, he initiated ghazal (light classical music native to northern India) and taught himself to play the santoor (hammered dulcimer) into concert halls here. During this journey, he became the first Malaysian musician to turn away from classical Indian group music recitals and opted for instrumental solo concerts in Malaysia. As a composer, Sam has released 7 albums to date. They are Sitarasa, Sitarasa Nostalgia, Vrajalila, Biography of Swami Sivananda, Vidiyal, Raga Moods and Prana The two honours that he was awarded at the Cameronian Arts Awards 2004 – for the best original composition and best solo performance categories under his band Prana – is a belated recognition much deserved. Sam has had the good fortune of playing with some of the top musicians in Malaysia and abroad. He recently represented Malaysia for the World Championship of Performing Arts in Hollywood, Los Angeles, USA. He won 7 gold medals and one silver medal for the eight categories he took part in. He also won 7 Champion of the World plaques and was the only one from the Malaysian team to be chosen to compete in the Grand Championships which was held at the world famous Palladium Auditorium. Besides the US, Sam has also performed in Australia, Singapore, Brunei, New Zealand, Taiwan, Korea and India. Sam’s dedication to this ancient art form is total and the art world is richer by his experience, expertise and most importantly, devotion. |

| Search | Add | 2 | split_noise | Formed November 23rd, 2000, in Saarbrücken, Germany. Excerpt from the band's old website: ...::split_noise::. born: 00/11/23 The 4 guys of "split_noise" have been attracting regional attention for some time now due to their unconventionality, their hard, intoxicating sound and a brutal stage show. Through constant appearances in surrounding clubs and youth centers, they have already achieved a certain level of recognition. At the Apollo Newcomer Festival (German music promotion prize for newcomers) they took second place in the preliminary round and at the Wacken Open Air Warm Up Party they could even count themselves among the winners. The music officially falls into the nu metal/crossover category, but the band itself defines it as its own style ("splitcore"). With split_noise, powerful low-pitched guitars and bass guitar are driven with melodic and harmonic riffs met by ingeniously conjured drum rhythms. The whole thing is rounded off by very varied vocals, which include everything from the usual speaking and singing parts to melodious chants, diabolical screams and psychotic "nonsense voice-lines". The lyrics cover topics such as split personality, child abuse, drug addiction, xenophobia, suicide - political, personal, as well as social and socio-critical aspects. The aim is to reflect one's own views and emotions in the music. 4 interesting characters have come together, strikingly different and yet similar in some ways; hear for yourself - splitcore is born... | |

GRAME is one of the six National Centers for Musical Creation in France. See also [l=Studios GRAME]. The Grame's primary mission is to design and realize innovative works, and to ensure their proper dissemination and promotion while contributing to the international scientific and musical research. Three in-house scientific teams are working at [l=Studios GRAME], specialized in real-time communication systems, computerized musical representation and performance, and multiple programming languages. In 1992, GRAME established a regular Musiques en Scene festival, organized as Biennale Musiques en Scène since 2002. | Search | Add | 2 | Boris Puligheddu | Boris Puligheddu | Boris Puligheddu approaches music at a young age listening to vinyl records of various genres, including rock, punk, reggae and soul, which his uncle brings home from various business trips. He feels a strong desire to communicate through music and with two turntables that his parents give him, he begins to "imitate" the figure of the deejay until he becomes a real one in several discos and in a local radio. In 1996 he composed the electronic music track with rock contaminations "Progressive Disease" with a friend, attracting the attention of the producer Alberto Bertapelle. The track was produced and included in some compilations and it reached good positions in the dance charts of various radios including Italia Network and Radio Deejay . He took part in a new electronic music project with other deejays but still continued to cultivate a passion for live music until, in the summer of 2009, he attended a concert of a ska group and was strongly impressed by it. In 2010 he founded with some friends Banda Margot and remained in the group as a singer until 2017 when, taking advantage of a break in the band's activity, he joined Sogno in Bilico, an indie rock group with which he recorded an EP. In 2019 he rejoined Banda Margot for what he considers a "new beginning.” |
