Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025

Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Jay Woser Portishead on endorphins? The undercover-indie-project of Erykah Badu? The extra-marital daughter of Feist and The Whitest Boy Alive? It’s no surprise that it is hard to describe the sound of Jay Woser. The very intentional indifference is fed by the various musical influences of its bandmembers. Lead singer [a=Nadine Demetrio] is a soul-native, drummer [a=Philipp Rittmannsperger] routes for Electrofunk-Pop with his solo-project [a=Phil Fill], bass player [a=Jan Ehlers] has his roots in the punk- and rock-scene and when keyboarder [a=Lukas Lehmann] is not spinning House and Disco as a DJ he spends his time producing electronic tunes. Ikarus is the debut-EP by Jay Woser and uses its title as a creed. The five tracks and two remixes are formed by and lost in strong feelings and desires, which concentrate all efforts for any length of time towards a definite goal which may never be fully satisfied. Ikarus takes flight when Jay Woser channel that energy into compositions of vintage farfisa, deep synth-chords and psychedelic guitar sounds backed up with raw drum grooves that perfectly mirror the lyrics and enrich the beautiful, warm and soulful voice of lead singer Nadine Demetrio.

Search Add 2 Sydney Sue Sydney Hargis Sydney Sue is based in Bloomington, Indiana, but is greatly inspired by folk music from all around the world. Her songwriting style harkens back to the traditional ballads of rural appalachia and singer-songwriters of the 1960's and 70's, while still maintaining a sound that is refreshing and modern. Her sweet and gentle vocals, inspired by Sibylle Baier, Joan Baez, Jeanette and other mid-century folk heroines, need nothing more than an acoustic guitar for accompaniment. Her lyrics are often inspired by pastoral poetry and include literary and folk references. Although most of her recordings are made in her bedroom, she hopes to enrich her compositions with orchestral instruments in the future, and also makes electronic music on the side under the nom de plume Girls Alone. Under this name, she also produces tracks for other artists, such as Paris-based friend and collaborator Clothilde Grace.

Search Add 2 Rocco Cavalera Rocco Cavalera Producer and sound designer based in Rome, former student at I.E.D. concluded his studies in 2011. Since 2009 he is active with audio / video live sets, experimental projects and installations presented at festivals such as "La Notte dei Musei / Planetario", "Musique", "This Is Rome", "Viedram", "Reverse" e "L.P.M. - Live Performers Meeting". Has several active open projects including IND (I Need Darkness), #LLL (Limbic Lobe ‘s Lies) and Oracle 2.0, in which the audio, video and interactive material are closely linked, creating a mystical atmosphere that brings the viewer into a dreamlike dimension. Lover of electronic music, he’s ranging across Drone, Industrial, Noise and Techno. The analog sound research is a prevailing characteristic adopted in its productions, creating atmospheres that exceed the simple listening, low frequencies which physically act on the space in which dirty noises are propagating, generated by a single note that evolves over time, self-structuring. The synthesis is the main filter that he applies to his work, training the ear to the constant search for new sounds and articulated rhythms, analog synths and avant -garde noise. He collaborates with the NUtone Lab studio (music production & sound design), in television, multimedia and Advertising-related ambit, with Istituto Europeo di Design and with the creative studio MadeOn.

Search Add 2 Peter Shearer Peter records CDs and DVDs of 'soaking music' as a resource both for other therapists and to back up his main activity of one-to-one or small group therapy and teaching - this helps clients to find freedom of spirit, increased creativity and healing using music. His compositions, improvisations and albums are enjoyed by young and old, and by varying creeds and cultures. Peter's albums have been heard in over 40 countries - in various settings ranging from hospices to restaurants. It often brings a calming effect which allows deep-seated emotions in the subconscious to surface and be dealt with safely. This is particularly true in a live ‘soaking therapy’ session. For this reason Peter works with other health and counselling professionals when appropriate. He has developed an impressive list of case studies which illustrate the breadth of application of his work.

Search Add 2 DJ Kill Em All Arnaud Debar Kill Em All is first bitten by electronic music in 1996 thanks to The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers. Then follows a fever which makes him go towards the dark side represented by Amon Tobin, Aphex Twin ou Tricky : the atmospherical side of terror. First decks in 1998, he plays techno. In 2001, his love of huge rhythms makes him go towards productions of people like Manu le Malin or Laurent Hô. The need of causing industrial violence takes over and Kill Em All becomes possessed by English hardcore. Always in search of new methods for punishing people, he has in 2005 a revelation thanks to dutch sound : power and precision to serve an efficient method of destruction. One can understand that he joins one of the most menacing industrial hardcore crews : Booby Trap. Thanks to his influences, Kill Em All is a black diamond shaped by techno, industrial and hardcore, whose faces are all dangerous. He played on numerous parties along people like Manu le Malin, The Outside Agency, Ophidian, Stormtrooper, DNA Dj Team, Hellfish, Lunatic & Miss Hysteria, Simon Underground, Radium, Dave the Drummer, Randy, Slavefriese, Forsaken is Dead, Moleculez, Matt Green, Jeff Amadeus, Sarin Assault, Ybrid, Stinger, Armaget Nad, Fist Of Fury, La Peste, KwetKwet, AK47, No Name, IOM Factory,Helius Zhamiq, Synapse & Sei2ure, Cut a Kaos, Hardcoholics, Speedyq's, Trypod, Timetwister, 100 Kilo Marteen, Dj Obscurity, Day-Mar, Candy, Mindustries, Marlice, Axn & Up Skillz, The Vizitor, Goetia&Venom, Tripped, D-Fens, Fucked Up Core, Martha(Zmk), Axiom, Pano, Speedloader, Yan X, Kronic, Bender, Wipeout, TT21, Misentrip Crew, HardZone, Accelerated.at, Digital Vandal, Dj Panik, Randomatik Blast, The Massacre, KSual, Son, Coreback, Gabber.cz Crew, Mc Apster, Mc Tha Watcher, Mc Axys, Mc Linez...

Search Add 2 RAAF Operational Command Band For most of the 20th century there were two [l=Royal Australian Air Force] bands. The [a=R.A.A.F. Central Band] and the Air Command Band aka RAAF Richmond Band, RAAF 1 Regional Band or the [a=RAAF Operational Command Band]. Before 1952 there were a number of other bands of amateur musicians. In 1932 the Air Command Band started as the RAAF Richmond Band. In 1969 it was renamed the RAAF 1 Regional Band and disbanded early in 1974, then reinstated later that year under the new title of the RAAF Operational Command Band. In 1988 the band was renamed the Air Command Band. Bandmasters c1927-1934 Ernest Thomas Joseph Keller 1935 Corporal Naylor 1946-1955 Ernest John 'Tubby' Fellows 1955-1969 ??? Music Directors 1969-1974 [a=Michael A. Butcher] 1974-1978 Archie Burt 1978-1988 [a=Tom Cooper (6)] 1988-2000 [a=David C. Worrall] 2000-2008 John Buckley The Band was formed by the then Commanding Officer of RAAF Richmond, Squadron Leader Bostock, and was a part-time brass band. This group of part-time musicians came from different trades within the RAAF and was under the direction of Leading Aircraftman Ern Keller. As the part-time band grew in numbers and expertise, it became very busy and was comparable to most full time Army bands. The first band officer was Flying Officer Richard. Over the years the Band performed at many events including royal visits, Government House investitures and in 1940 it escorted 6 Squadron to the station on its departure to join the war effort, and held a concert for the Empire Air Training Scheme contingent bound for Canada. The Band was also asked to accompany [a=Gracie Fields], the then well known singer, at a welfare/comfort concert which was held at the [l=Sydney Town Hall]. In 1946 Flight Lieutenant 'Tubby' Fellows became bandmaster. In 1969 it became a full-time band. Starting with 12 musicians, it was renamed the RAAF 1 Regional Band, and at that time woodwind instruments were introduced. Pilot Officer M. Butcher was the first Director of Music. Due to government policy the Band was disbanded early in 1974, but successful lobbying saw it reinstated later that year under the new title of the RAAF Operational Command Band under the direction of Flight Lieutenant Archie Burt. In 1978, a new director, Squadron Leader [a=Tom Cooper (6)], was appointed. He was a graduate of the Royal Military School of Music (Kneller Hall) London. With the re-orgamsation of RAAF Air Headquarters in 1988 the band was renamed the Air Command Band. The Air Command Band has included a full concert band, an 18-piece jazz band, a seven-piece combo known as 'Touch and Go', a brass quintet known as 'Jet Stream' and a woodwind quintet known as 'Windshear'. In 2008 the band merged with the [a=R.A.A.F. Central Band] from Laverton to form the Air Force Band.
