Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Reuven Gadoluv | ראובן גדולוב | For Reuven Gadoluv - a dentist by profession, music is part of his DNA. Over the years Reuven wrote and created music. Now, when he feels the most ready, the album "Tipul Shoresh" is released. Along with Gadoluv's strong and kicking rock style, you can also hear in the album rock with touches of opera and dark rock combined with synthesizers. Those combinations of unique musical elements plus texts taken from the experience and maturity of Gadolov's life create a dark and gloomy album, but at the same time, one that radiates optimism. In the album you can also find an amazing collaboration with the rock legend Danny Shushan (The Churchills). |

Search | Add | 2 | Anorexic Sumotori | Rock band from the north of France. The gritty French quartet crafts a minimalist yet sophisticated stoner indie rock and delicately blasts it on stage with a fat and frontal energy. Fueled by a mutual interest in Nirvana's grunge spirit, Queens Of The Stone Age's sensuality and The Stooges' garage smell, Anorexic Sumotori play hide and seek with all senses and genres with a few steps into Quentin Tarantino's universe. Formed by Antoine Demailly (bass, keys and lead vocals), Sébastien Demilly (guitar, backing vocals), and Vincent Poissonnier (drums) while still attending college in the post-industrial city of Maubeuge, the band later opted for a four-piece format with Fabien Ménart (keys, theremin, guitar), in an appetite for a little bit more of everything. Anorexic Sumotori have acquired a solid reputation in Northern France, and their music was qualified as « sur-carré », a word coined by Armel Campagna, director of Main Square Festival (Arras) and Live Nation France to praise their super clean performance in front of a crowd of over 2,000

Search | Add | 2 | Wax Theatricks | This was a St.-Louis-based collective, which was extremely active in the area, even if they did not got much attention outside the Missouri district. Fronted by Dominic Schaeffer, Benet Schaeffer and David Udell, Earwacks were formed in 1974 and produced two singles just before the dawn of the 80's, while their sole album ''Distances'' was released independently in 1981. Earwacks became Wax Theatricks after the release of the album and continued to perform and recording during the 80's.More recently they reunited and in 2012 they even presented some of their sounds/shows on DVD, which will be definitely become a highly collectable item.

Search | Add | 2 | The Rosellys | Rebecca and Simon Rosellys | Rebecca and Simon Rosellys have been part of the UK roots scene for a number of years, their live shows and two duo albums garnering deserved praise from musicians, critics and audiences alike. On September 7th The Rosellys will be releasing a new album, The Granary Sessions, on the UK independent label Clubhouse Records (Case Hardin, Redlands Palomino Company, Cale Tyson, amongst others). The album, recorded and co-produced in their home studio – ‘The Granary’ – by Alex Elton-Wall, lead singer, guitarist and songwriter of acclaimed UK alt country band Redlands Palomino Company, is their first full band release, taking the band to an exciting new level. Since an early age Simon has been immersed in roots music, both as a fan and a musician. He toured throughout UK, Europe and the Middle East as a member of the much-loved Cajun/zydeco band, Le Bon Temps Playboys, alongside his father Allan who now, unsurprisingly, plays pedal steel and resonator in his son’s band. Simon met Rebecca, a qualified doctor and herself an exemplary songwriter, in 2005 and since then they have been writing songs and performing as The Rosellys both here in the UK and on regular tours to the US in their trusty (near-legendary) VW van where they have built up a sizeable following of their own. The Granary, a converted barn in the heart of the Gloucestershire countryside provided the ideal location to record the new album. With Elton-Wall’s laidback, uncomplicated approach to recording the album was able to take shape of its own accord, slowly, organically and without any of the usual time restraints and complications with the input of fellow band members – Allan Kelly (Pedal Steel/Resonator) and Matt Kirby (bass). All of the songs on The Granary Sessions, like many of the great country records of years gone by, are drawn from personal experiences of love, loss, old true tales and endless hours on the road. For example the spirited opener, “A Thousand Miles”, was written after one such endless journey from Nashville to Texas whilst “Ashville 1784” recounts a true story of a soldier killed in North Carolina leaving his wife forced to run away with their baby. The exquisite voice of Hannah Elton-Wall from Redlands permeates many of the tracks here as a guest backing vocalist whilst Rebecca’s mother and father, Helena and Michael Rosewell, add piano and cello to further enhance the wonderful sonic hue. The alluring beauty and song-craft of “Maryland” a song paying tribute the lost genius of Eva Cassidy and beautifully delivered in Rebecca’s haunting vocal style and the deeply personal “Made A Choice” are two standouts on an album full to the brim with songs that once heard will be resonating around your head for a long time to come. It’s clear from the opening bars of The Granary Sessions that here we have a band not only totally comfortable in their own musical skin but, as a group of musicians all drawing from the same well of inspiration – an absolute love of country roots music – a band that really can reach for the stars. The musicianship throughout is both complimentary and intuitive to the songs, themselves wonderfully crafted tales straight from the heart. Make no mistake The Rosellys are set to become a major force on the UK roots scene and further afield and with the release of The Granary Sessions their already excellent reputation is set to be enhanced even further. |

Search | Add | 2 | Scorned Embrace | Metalcore band from Tucson, AZ (US). Scorned Embrace began in the summer of 2007 with one goal in mind: to push the boundaries of metalcore. The five piece group featuring Mike Clark (vocals), Elliott Flanagan (guitar), Logan Matti (drums), Mike Hendrix (Drix, bass), and Josh Williams (guitar), takes inspiration from bands like Parkway Drive, Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, and Unearth. Scorned embrace blends these influences to produce music riddled with crushing breakdowns, intricate syncopated riffs, and melodies that will be stuck in your head for weeks. Combined with an energy infused live show full of humorous antics, the band forms a crisp new metalcore experience unique to the Tucson local music scene. Over the last four years Scorned Embrace has crossed several thresholds by opening for Unearth, All that Remains, Bleeding Through, Miss May I, The Ghost Inside, Mushroom Head, Fear Factory, Poison the Well, For the Fallen Dreams, Powerman 5000, Veil of Maya, Motionless In White, and many more. They have released two full length albums, toured California, destroyed venues in Flagstaff, Phoenix, Nogales, and Tucson, and plan to continue doing so throughout 2012 and beyond.

Search | Add | 2 | Lush Agave | Alisha Erao | Lush Agave is the project of classical vocalist and electronic musician Alisha Erao. Erao grew up in Florida studying classical voice and music technology at the University of Central Florida. Her interest in low-fidelity recording and early electronic music inspired her first experimentations with vocal samples and composition. Erao moved to New York City in 2008, forming the band Alligator Indian with Math Erao (Absolute Fantasy). The electronic pop duo released 3 albums with Bleeding Gold records. After relocating to Asheville, North Carolina in 2012, Erao co-founded a gallery/event space called Apothecary. It was in this environment that Lush Agave emerged from the idea to combine her passion for classical voice and its aesthetics with synthesizers and vocal sampling. Erao premiered her first piece “madame” here, which reimagines the aria “Un Bel Di Vedremo” from Puccini's Madame Butterly. The project continued to evolve in subsequent years, especially upon her brief return to Orlando where she recorded her debut EP, Songs for a Moon. Lush Agave became Erao’s attempt to bring the vulnerability and intensity of classical vocal genres into the zeitgeist. It is a means of merging her passion of technical practice with electronic and pop music, and to speak of her experience as a womxn in music. By sampling melodies, lyrics, or overall sentiments from her favorite arias and art songs, Lush agave evokes the aura of tragedy, beauty, and passion in the operatic tradition. |

On 5 October 1938 Desmond was one of the original 16 singers in Ralph Vaughan Williams's Serenade to Music, the recording of which, made at EMI's Abbey Road studio shortly thereafter, has been transferred to compact disc by several companies. Earlier, in 1932, Vaughan Williams had dedicated to her his Magnificat (for contralto solo, women's choir, solo flute and orchestra). Later, she received the contrasting tribute of having a variety of rose named after her. |
