Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 14 | Mateusz Morawski | Mateusz Morawski is a Polish musician, composer, producer, guitarist and graphical designer. His music is a mixture of electronic, metal, progressive and breakbeat. He is also designer of all music related artwork, promo materials and videos. * Early career (1996 – 2009) Influenced by PC/Amiga demoscene he started to record first sample-based compositions on his Amstrad 286 PC computer on 4-channel music tracker software. After a few years of experience with multichannel trackers, around 2002 he started to play the electric guitar and made his initial demo guitar recordings on PC multitrack audio software. For the next 7 years he learned music production techniques and developed musical production approach and equipment. * Music releases (2010 – present) Mateusz started to release first tracks independently in 2010 on myspace, later on last.fm and soundcloud under Creative Commons license. Among several published compositions in electronic and metal genres, he considers “Type1a” from 2011 as his first single. It was a classical chillout tune inspired by Tschaikovsky and Mussorgsky symphonies, but produced with electronic instruments. In 2012 he released 2 tracks. “Pursuit Milestone One” explored more breakbeat areas as inspired by The Prodigy and Noisia, while “Doggerland” turned into progressive metal with electronic flavor by including influences from Tool prog metal band. On July 2013 “Doggerland” track was featured as a soundtrack to youtube video “5 Of The Most Gruesome Medieval Torture Devices” on BuzzFeed channel with half million views. In March 2014 Mateusz released a new progressive electronic track titled “Dogger Plant”. According to reviews it sounded like a combination of electronic and film music with similarities to Juno Reactor music for The Matrix Reloaded movie. December 2014 brought a release of a “Hards” hardcore techno single and video. It was a first finished song composed in early tracker times in 1996. It was re-mastered and released eventually after 18 years. His latest single “Higgs Boson Army” is a further development of style introduced on "Dogger Plant". Besides of psychedelic and symphonic structures it also consists of influences from Chemical Brothers and Vangelis works. | |

He has released one album, “Razzle Dazzle” (1996) and two singles, “Natural Bliss” and “Razzle Dazzle”. His whole work was produced by the legendary Tony D (of Poor Righteous Teachers fame). Scott Lark’s nasal voice and ignorant rhymes + Tony D’s smooth production is definitely a winner on this.

| Search | Add | 14 | Grimm Jack | The Grimm Jack story began in 1985 with guitarist Jimmie Mack and drummer Dave Leeds, two Long Island rockers who joined forces to create a contemporary rock band with an edge. Original members included vocalist Robin DesForges, guitarist Rich Daly, and bassist Sean O’Neill. The group released their first single “Janet”, on the independent label CYN CITY RECORDS in 1986. The following year brought the release of a five-song EP entitled GO FOR YOUR GUNS, which gained airplay on radio outside the New York metro area. By 1988, Grimm Jack shifted into full throttle; original vocalist Robin DesForges departed and was replaced by singer Billy Kohout. Bassist Scott Bittner was on board, and the group started gaining national recognition with the release of their next EP, PARTNERS IN CRIME. This recording featured the songs “One Track Mind” and “Shy Boy”, both which gained a steady amount of airplay on various rock radio stations, especially in the south and mid-Atlantic regions. Legendary music publications such as CIRCUS and HIT PARADER gave Grimm Jack’s PARTNERS IN CRIME very positive reviews during 1988, and the group was also featured prominently in numerous regional and local magazines nationwide. In early 1989, Daly and Bittner chose to part company with Grimm Jack and guitarist Tom Lestat and bassist Paul Vassa were brought into the band. With this lineup in place, Grimm Jack forged ahead to create a respectable reputation based on energetic live performances and high caliber songs that fans still remember today. | |

| Search | Add | 14 | Julien Jalâl Al-Din Weiss | Bernard Weis | Alsatian by his father, Swiss by his mother, Bernard Weiss was born in Paris in 1953 and died in Paris January 02, 2015. In the beginning of the Seventies, like many of teenagers of his generation, this guitarist of western classical formation (he entered the " Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris " in 1965) calls in question the values of the Western culture and started to hit the road of the trip. His voyages took him to California, to Morocco, then to the Antilles; that opened his cultural horizons and was given the name Julien by a young Venezuellian woman, Isabelle Sotto, daugther of the founder of kinetic art. When return to France in 1974, he composed several plays for the traditional guitar, and took part in a creation of the Tunisian director Sharif Allaoui. In 1976 in Paris, during a reception at the future minister of the Egyptian culture, Farouk Hosni, the listening to a disc of the Iraqi musician Mounir Bachir, large main of Oud (Oriental lute captivated him so much so that he gave up the traditional guitar and the jazz harmonies to launch out body and soul in the study of the Arab lute and the refined laws governing the Oriental micro tonal music. But very quickly, the limits of the instrument frustrated him and when he discovered the richnesses offered by the Oriental zither " the qanûn " the search of Julien Weiss took all its dimensions. Consequently he crossed the Orient, from Tunis to Beirut, Baghdad to Cairo, Istanbul to Damas, he followed the teaching of great Masters. Thus he became the disciple then the friend of Mounir Bachir in the honor of whom later he composed a " Bagdadian Suite " interpreted at the time of the Festival of Babylon in Iraq. |

Baconsson | Keys, Synthesizers, Voice Otto Løfgren | Synthesizers, Voice, Programming [b]WE ARE DIAMOND FUCKIN’ KOBRA[/b] Back in 1984 Elin & Emeli-Sofi Lundin from Sweden started a band they named Diamond Kobra. As they had no recording equipment, they tried to figure out a way to get their music on tape. One night they had the chance to get into the Nightingale Studios for small money after the session of another group. They jammed the whole night and recorded a demo tape. Unfortunately a week later the studio was destroyed by a winter storm. It was rebuilt the same year by a new owner and the demo went into a provisional archive with the other remaining material from the studio. In 2017, 34 years later, Rögnvaldr Nyström bought the studio and found the Diamond Kobra demotracks. He remembered the last name on the tape: Lundin and asked his friend Otto Løfgren, who had married a woman from the Lundin family. It turned out his wife Ida was the aunt of the girls. Løfgren is a talented programmer and tech nerd and his friend Bjørn Bors Baconsson has a studio with a tape machine. As they heard the Diamond Kobra tape they knew they had to make an album out of it. It sounded like pure joy from the ’80s. They teamed up with their friends and fellow musicians to bring the music back to life and make an album out of it. The sound from the 1984 recordings was great electronical music that had its own beautiful sound. It was time to add more vicious synthesizers and ripping guitars to blend it all into what Diamond Kobra does best: [b]High-Voltage Darksynth[/b] Baconsson, who comes from a film scoring background, wrote a story for the album. A vision about a far future in which each song is one chapter of a novel. The characters and their story came together in the concept album which also contains soundtrack elements. The project began in early 2018 when recordings started in Sweden, Denmark, Germany and USA. Løfgren and Baconsson were extremely happy when outstanding musicians like [a288132] of [a262577], [a3895091] of [a291496], K.D. Johansen of Supercharger and the famous Amott Brothers: [a309929] & [a579681] joined for the album production. | Search | Add | 14 | Sascha Ciccopiedi | Influenced by the moods and vibrations of the techno scene at the end of the 90s, the passionate 18 year old Sascha began to work for the producer tandu / ayla for three years. With him he traveled to the thunderous clubs of that time and gradually grew into the scene. The full-time job there drives him as a young sound arranger right into the musical scene! In the reactor, which at that time belonged to one of the trance shops, he quickly earned himself a place as a resident and got involved with key figures like Marc Spoon, DJ Dag ... But always fascinated by the avant-garde of straight, technoid beats - there is only one direction for him: forward and straight ahead! He pursues this passion during his residency in the Jailhouse - which stood for deep, technoid and unstoppable club nights. Sascha Ciccopiedi has remained true to this passion to this day. Technically very strong, he arranges with a lot of passion and respect for the individual tracks - on the basis of 4 decks - sets with recognition value! Nuanced, powerful minimal tracks that drive you and have a strong meditative character distinguish Sascha Ciccopiedi as an unmistakable artist. In his role as an artist, Sascha Ciccopiedi is absolutely unique and does not need to hide behind a pseudonym. With his real name he signals self-confidence and is committed to his individuality, which is clearly evident in each of his sets and productions. Less is more - Sascha Ciccopiedi! The charismatic and energetic Italian always knows how to convey the fine line between minimalism and monotony in perfect balance in the throbbing rhythm. He stands for passion for music and fills his sets with a lot of emotion without looking at any charts. His sound arrangement is very diverse and varied, consisting of deep, tribal, percussive and soulful, mediative techno.

| Search | Add | 14 | Wurgilnõ | Consanguineus | Introducing Wurgilnō: Unleashing Dark Tales from the Dutch Underground Wurgilnō is a solitary force that emerged in the early months of 2023, plunging deep into the realms of Black Metal. With a raw and intense sound, Wurgilnō stands apart, channeling the dark currents of the genre while infusing it with the mystique of Dutch folklore. At the core of Wurgilnō lies the enigmatic figure known as Consanguineus. Serving as the sole member, Consanguineus fearlessly undertakes the roles of instrumentalist, vocalist, and songwriter, pouring heart and soul into crafting each haunting melody and crafting lyrics that delve into the depths of local legends and myths. Drawing inspiration from the First and Second wave of Black Metal, Wurgilnō's sonic offerings encapsulate the spirit of the genre's early pioneers, echoing their raw energy and sinister atmosphere. Consanguineus pays homage to these influences while forging a distinctive sound that is uniquely their own, blending aggression, melody, and a touch of melancholy. In a short span of time, Wurgilnō has unleashed a series of chilling singles upon the world. With releases like "Kraaien of het galgenveld," "Tot eenzaamheid verbannen," and "De Bloedrode Beek," all unleashed upon the world in May and June 2023, the band has already garnered attention within the dark corners of the Black Metal community. These singles serve as harbingers of the imminent release of their debut album, "De Doden rusten niet in Vrede," which arrived in June 2023, seeping into the collective consciousness with its unrelenting intensity. While Wurgilnō currently abstains from live performances, its origins carry a legacy intertwined with the Dutch metal scene. Consanguineus, an original member of Dutch bands Belphegor, Inverted Pentagram, and Corpusculum during the early '90s, possesses a profound understanding of the genre's roots and a wealth of experience that enriches Wurgilnō's creative process. Wurgilnō's music serves as a vessel, carrying the listener through the ancient forests and misty landscapes of the South of the Netherlands, where local myths and legends reside. Each track on "De Doden rusten niet in Vrede" explores these narratives, summoning the spirits of the Bokkerijders and other enigmatic figures that haunt the region's folklore. Through his music, Wurgilnō seeks to capture the essence of these tales, painting sonic portraits that immerse the audience in a chilling and immersive auditory experience. With their solitary presence and uncompromising dedication to the craft, Wurgilnō stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of Black Metal and its ability to encapsulate the darkest corners of the human psyche. As their music reverberates through the shadows, Wurgilnō beckons the curious and the fearless to venture forth into the ethereal realms they have carved, where the ancient legends of the South of the Netherlands come alive once more. |

This group had a moderate reception from the Bolivian public and was later dissolved. After the dissolution of Fox, the members of the band independently belonged to some bands from La Paz such as Chuy & Fly and Drago Drogan, among others, while Rodrigo Villegas became one of the animators of the improvised sessions at the pub "El Socavón", where he was reunited with his former Fox teammates and met vocalist Christian Krauss. Between the two of them, they decided to try their luck and form a new band. That was how Lou Kass was born. The owner of "El socavón" baptized the group "Lucas", a name that was later changed to Lou Kass. In 1992 they released their first album Lou Kass, which was followed by Akasa (1994), which includes songs like "No Reces al Sol" and "Feel High". In full success of the band, the vocalist Christian Krauss decided to travel to Germany without giving further explanations, forcing the rest of the group to continue with the presentations as a trio but without diminishing the receptivity of the band. Finally, during the concert in La Paz on the "Tour SIDA" tour, Loukass recorded his live album entitled Akasa ¡En vivo! and later separated. |

| Search | Add | 14 | Melted Cassettes | David Turner, Mike Warden | Melted Cassettes began in 2005 as a one man electronic-avante-garde/noise project started by D. Turner. It continued as such, gaining some popularity in the underground, until 2007 when M. Warden joined the project. This happened when Turner and Warden decided to make a collaboration album called ‘Now That’s What I Call Music Vol. 1′ and gave birth to the songs ‘Fantasy Garden’ and ‘Test’. The two soon began to simply work under the name ‘Melted Cassettes’ and made it official. Warden and Turner worked feverishly for several months, creating nearly 3 full albums worth of song material. By early 2008, Melted Cassettes began performing in Arizona on a fairly regular basis and continued to gain notoriety. The project went through a number of changes, including a revolving door of members, and changes in instrumentation. There were also a slew of rumors surrounding Melted Cassettes which permeated aspects of underground music fanfare. These rumors included false backgrounds, identities, and outlandish accusations of being ‘Notoriously misanthropic’, all of which was usually explained by the duo’s nature as being quiet, and somewhat isolated, and dedicated artists, often avoiding all the hullabaloo of local music-scene politics and instead focusing on a meaningful relationship between audience and artist. By 2009, Melted Cassettes had toured California several times, had a tape released on Modern Sleeze Records, and a design made for them by Canadian Art Designers ‘Seripop’. The band continued onward until a series of profound, and somewhat transcendental occurrences manifested in their lives around early 2010, which was followed by an inevitable hiatus. A few months later, Turner and Warden regrouped from their experiences, projecting the influences these encounters provided into the music of Melted Cassettes. The live performance aspect of Melted Cassettes centers around the odd events that took place in their lives, and is an attempt to inspire, creatively, and convey a message or aspect of some of the strange, paranormal, transformative and unexplained events that society sometimes overlooks. Melted Cassettes continues in its current lineup with a mission of music for positive personal/social transformation and collective conscious compassion and integration. Artist involved are [a=David Turner (8)] and [a=Mike Warden]. |

Marco started out as a DJ in 1999, and got in amateur music production around the same time, mainly using MOD-tracker programs like Fasttracker II and Sk@le Tracker at first. Making the switch to more professional music production in 2008, using his 'Mykynes' alias. Currently, Marco operates from the city of Zwolle, Overijssel, the Netherlands, and releases his music productions through his own imprint Premier League Recordings. Marco became one of the early adopters of the Choon-platform in 2018, a cryptocurrency based music platform that envisioned to pay artists a more fair share of revenue. With his releases being fairly popular there, it gave his career a new boost to produce more tracks and remixes. Unfortunately, Choon went out of business in October 2019. Building on the connections from Choon, and the trance scene in general, however, Marco already established his own recordlabel Premier League Recordings in September 2019. Nowadays, Marco releases his track through his own label, and on all common major music platforms again. The Marco Svarda sound can be described as classic influenced trance with an old-school feel, and a modern production technique. Marco Svarda is the founder of the [l=Mykynes Music] imprint, on which he releases his independent music and [l=Premier League Recordings], on which he signs releases of himself and others. |

| Search | Add | 14 | Silver Laughter | Silver Laughter was born in the fall of 1969 in Davenport, Ia. The band would eventually play over 1,700 gigs over ten years throughout every corner of Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Minnesota, North and South Dakota, Nebraska, as well as western Canada. The nine musicians that eventually played in Silver Laughter had all been teenage friends. The band would also record two albums of original material from which six singles were spawned. The band was originated by Jon Ludtke (guitar/lead singer) and Steve Elliott (bass/lead singer). John Carstensen (lead guitar) and Jon’s brother Kim (Slim) Ludtke (drums) were incorporated within months to complete the original band. With the strong lead singing of Jon and Steve, Silver Laughter had an instant following in the Quad Cities, as the band played covers of some of the 60’s most illustrious rock bands, including the Beatles, the Kinks, the Rolling Stones, Cream, Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix. Some of the early gigs included the Hullabaloo in Moline, Ill - a left-over vintage teen club of the 1960’s complete with go-go cages, and the famous Col Ballroom in Davenport. From its inception Silver Laughter focused on vocals and harmony, matched with the power of a driving rhythm section and lead guitar. During these early years, the band wrote and performed a few originals which became favorites of their fans. | |

| Search | Add | 14 | Hell Bovine | Formed in late 2007, Hell Bovine is a MIDI noisegrind project by Señor Lencho. The name is inspired by Diablo 2, one of Señor Lencho's favorite video games. The style mainly consists of MIDI instruments played on a keyboard chaotically and randomly, with growling/screaming/squealing vocals layered on top of it all. Many of Hell Bovine's songs have Christian song titles, while the music itself lacks lyrics in favor of vocal noises. Current main label is Lencho Recs, while in the past has worked with awesome noise labels like Vomit Bucket Productions, SkyBurnsBlack Records, and Crippling Pain Records. Hell Bovine is always looking for splits & collabs to contribute to. | |

| Search | Add | 14 | Rodrigo Otarola | Rodrigo Otarola Cano | Rodrigo Otarola, é um cantor compositor, produtor e intérprete espanhol, vive no Brasil desde criança. |

Early on the group expanded and operated under various names - EM-21, Room 19, and finally Illuminati (not to be confused with Aaron's Las Vegas based band [a=Illuminati (8)]), and included in its line-up at various points [a=Ron McKown], [a=Craig Miller (2)], [a=Bruce Clark (3)], and [a=Mike Nolan (2)]. In 1993 the group relocated to Los Angeles but became bogged down in personality conflicts and disbanded in 1994. In 2000 the duo reformed and decided to delete the extraneous names and reissue all that material under the bEAT dEVICE name. They also outlined a number of projects but became inactive again after releasing just one final EP. In 2007 the duo was official announced as being disbanded, and in 2008 their final unissued recording was released as a secondary track on the EP [r1608457].
