Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 14 | Hoigen Ekwalla | Ekwalla Mpouli Eugėne | Hoigen Ekwalla (June 15, 1959 - October 23, 2008), was a Cameroonian singer and composer born in Douala. He recorded his first album "Ndol'am" in 1982. More records followed and in 1988 he received a "Disque d'Or" for his album "Chat Botté". In 1994 he became Artist of the Year in Cameroon with the album "Mon amie". His latest album "Tendresse" was released in 2000. In 2003 Ekwalla became more and more frustrated by the lack of protection against music piracy in Cameroon and then decided to put aside his music career to become a business man. But since music was his real passion, he never truely gave it up. In 2008 he was still working on a new album when health problems forced to him to stop and eventually led to his passing later that same year. |

Search | Add | 14 | Cliff Duphiney | Cliff was born on Aug. 7, 1934, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005, in Mount Vernon, N.Y., died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2005, age 71 After graduation from Catholic schools, he attended the Julliard School of Music and The Art Student's League, both in New York City. He then served with the Navy aboard the USS Grackle, where he was a member of the Frogmen team. He retired from the service as a Lieutenant JG. At the age of 12, his musical career began when he formed and led his own 12-piece band, the Cliff Duphiney Orchestra, which played throughout Westchester County, N.Y. Following his stint in the Navy, he formed a trio called "My Three Sons," and played nightclubs throughout the country including the Sahara and Thunderbird hotels in Las Vegas. During his childhood, he developed a love for horses which continued throughout his life. During his career as a professional musician, he also rode the rodeo circuit and worked as a stuntman in movies which lead to his show name, "Cowboy at the Keyboard." His performance at the organ keyboard so impressed the Hammond Organ Co. that it provided him with a custom-built organ and gave his performance the title "Sounds Impossible." Cliff went on to make several RCA recordings of his organ music and vocals. After 10 years on the professional circuit, he was ready for a slower pace and came to Waterville where he performed at the Ferris Arms Hotel. There he met his future wife, the former Judy Shorey. They married on Sept. 24, 1967, and hit the road together with his organ and two horses, his stunt horse, Babe, and Judy's wedding gift, an Arabian horse named Jude whom he often rode in local parades. They traveled for a year to finish out Cliff's professional contract before settling in Fairfield. Their daughter Kellie was born Sept. 2, 1968. The family's Fairfield Riverside Ranch was known for its stable of magnificent Arabian horses. Cliff continued his musical career for many years in the state of Maine at such places as the Jed Prouty Tavern in Bucksport, The Carriage Inn in Pittsfield, The Silent Woman in Waterville, the Augusta House, the Country Loft in Troy and the American Legion in Waterville as well as many others. As a child he had taken art lessons as well as music lessons and in the late 1970s, while still working as an entertainer, he again picked up a paint brush and mastered his portrait skills. He soon opened Judy's Art Gallery in Fairfield and began giving art lessons and music lessons. In the past several years, he has done portraits of many famous performers and politicians. Cliff was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Western Artists Association, and the Arabian Horse Association.

Search | Add | 14 | The Hideous North | Eric North | Founded in 1999 in bassist/experimentalist Eric North’s studio apartment in a suburb of Milwaukee, WI., The Hideous North was primarily a studio project. After his sophomore album ‘If It Sings Like You Do’ in 2001, North began to employ the help of other musicians, mostly for live performances. His album output remained primarily himself recording as a multi-instrumentalist, though accompanying performers started to became more frequent after 2003’s ‘Background Music For Foreground Times’. In 2004 Eric North released both ‘The Nidus’ and ‘Dive’ - with the former initially released without the Hideous North moniker. Later versions of it were released as The Hideous North. 2005’s ‘Your Mother Called & Said She Doesn’t Love You’ marked the last album of new material from The Hideous North, though the band remained intermittently active through about 2012. A retrospective compilation album of re-recorded selections from The Hideous North’s prior discography [‘Recollected | 1999 - 2005’] was officially released in 2017, after a four year hiatus. In 2020 The Hideous North (rather silently) reissued its entire five album discography individually as “2020 Definitive Archive Editions”, wherein each album’s tracklist was reformatted, restored, reduced and/or expanded to include every track that was initially intended for the album in its original conception. With that intent, these CD editions contain a significant amount of previously unreleased material, remastered and re-recorded tracks (many of the same versions that previously appeared on ‘Recollected’), and extended auto-biographical liner notes. As of 2022, The Hideous North remains disbanded, with no announced plans to release new material. Classic Lineup (roughly 2004 through 2012) [a=Eric North (2)] - bass guitar, lead vocals Bernard Cronin - electric guitars, backing vocals Ceril Crume - percussion [a=Rebecca Dresden] - piano/keyboards [2006 thru 2008] |

Search | Add | 14 | The Buzzards of Fuzz | Buzzard Custard (2014 - 2015) The Buzzards of Fuzz (Originally Uncle Van & The Buzzards of Fuzz) are a Desert Rock outfit from Atlanta, Georgia hatched in 2014 and founded by Van Bassman and Benjamin J. Davidow after the dissolution of Uncle Van’s Super Awesome Family Fun Band. The group’s name, a nod to the character' 'Buzzard from Dr. Hunter S. Thompson’s book Hell’s Angels , was meant to change every six months but the idea was scrapped as it was deemed too confusing to follow. Initially the rhythm section included Matt Irvin (Spore Lord , Order of The Owl ) on bass and Zachary Batson on drums. Irvin left the project early on to focus on Spore Lord and was replaced by Chuck Wiles prior to recording any material. In August of 2014 the band began recording at 'LedBelly Sound Studio in Dawsonville, Georgia with Matthew Washburn (Mastodon , Artemis Piledriver). These sessions produced their first EP, Buzzard Custard . The cover art for Buzzard Custard was designed by Lauren Monger (Terrible Terrible Terrible , Vice ). Dr. Thompson appears in the background of the Buzzard Custard cover along with Feather Locklear, TBOF’s bird mascot of sorts. 200 Copies of Buzzard Custard were released on Compact Disc under the name Uncle Van & The Buzzards of Fuzz March 19th 2015. The Buzzard Custard release party was held March 19th, 2018 at The Music Room in Atlanta, Georgia with an attendance of 15 people. Two days after their release the band was notified that they had been selected by Creative Loafing and Alt 105.7 FM to perform at the Sweetwater 420 festival opening for Snoop Dog , Primus , The Wood Brothers , Gov't Mule and Cage the Elephant with an attendance of 75k people. You Never Bring Me Any Flowers (2016 - 2017)Edit In June of 2016 Van Bassman won the Georgia Music Award for Best Rock Male Front Man. From August to December of 2016 Buzzards recorded two singles at The Cottage Recording Co. in Atlanta, Georgia with Damon Moon of Standard Electric Recorders . These were two of the last songs recorded at The Cottage prior to its demolition in January of 2017. January 31st, 2017 The Buzzards of Fuzz performed with Truckfighters, Kings Destroy and Kr'rth at The Drunken Unicorn in Atlanta, Georgia. June 9th 2017 The Buzzards of Fuzz performed with White Reaper to a sold-out crowd at The Earl in East Atlanta Village. 20 hand numbered, hand lathed vinyl copies of You Never Bring Me Any Flowers b/w How Could You? were released July 15th 2017, the release party was held in the Atlanta Room at Smith’s Olde Bar in Atlanta, Georgia. Friday October 13th 2017 Buzzards performed with the originators of Desert Rock, Yawning Man , at The Highlander in Atlanta, Georgia with We Are the Asteroid and Gnomonaut . December 15th 2017 The Buzzards of Fuzz performed at the Orange Amplifiers Holiday Party at Star Bar in Little Five Points, Atlanta, Georgia with Order of The Owl, The Dirty Magazines and Insomniac – after this performance Wiles switched from bass to drums and Batson switched from drums to bass. Hey! Hate City, Fuzzstock & The Carrion Collection (2018)Edit March 1st 2018 Buzzards performed with 1000Mods, Telekinetic Yeti and Sash the Bash at 529 in East Atlanta Village. April 17th 2018 The Buzzards of Fuzz performed to a sold out room with Guitar Legend Dick Dale at The Earl in East Atlanta Village. Three of the four tracks on the group’s second EP, Hey! Hate City , were recorded Friday April 13th 2018 by Kris Sampson at Sampson Sound in Atlanta, Georgia. The final track, a cover of The Desert Sessions’ Like a Drug was recorded previously at Standard Electric Recorders by Damon Moon January 15th 2018. Sasha Vallely (Sash the Bash , Spindrift ) recorded her vocal parts for Like a Drug at Sampson Sound. 20 Copies of Hey! Hate City were released on hand numbered hand lathed vinyl at Fuzzstock June 1st 2018 at Star Bar in Little Five Points, Atlanta with Fantomen , Flashback Flash and Twin Criminal . August 20th, 2018 Zachary Batson was dismissed from the band. For the remainder of this period the band would perform with guest bass players including Jonathan Lee (The Pinx ), Casey Dorriety (Flashback Flash) and Adam McIntyre (Stonerider ) or with Bassman playing bass and guitar at the same time. 100 copies of The Carrion Collection were released on compact disc August 22nd 2018. The Carrion Collection included all out of print releases from The Buzzards of Fuzz from 2015-2018 including Buzzards Custard, You Never Bring Me Any Flowers, How Could You? and Hey! Hate City. September 21st 2018 Davidow and Bassman appeared on 93.7 KCLB in Palm Springs, California to promote The Carrion Collection. The Buzzards of Fuzz received 14 Best of Atlanta nominations from Creative Loafing Atlanta including Best Live Band, Best Local Album and Best Local Rock Act. October 13th 2018 Buzzards performed at the Fall for Greenville festival in Greenville, South Carolina on the Chevy main stage with King Tuff and Seven Year Witch with an attendance of 60k people.

After trading some messages and records on the old Vinyl Exchange website, a few pints were consumed and a new band was formed! After about a year of messing around on Pro Tools, a solid catalogue of beats was compiled, and the first beat CD was sent to Demigodz legend MC Rise, who was particularly hard to track in pre social media days. Some detective work and a snail mail later, Rise replied that he liked the beats and the first collaboration for BEs had started to come into existence. Over the years, Phill Most Chill, Chill Rob G, Chubb Rock, AG, RA The Rugged Man, MC Juice and Dooley-O were all partial to the Bankrupt Europeans vibes and all these collaborations materialised on vinyl on Nobody Buys Records.

Search | Add | 14 | Wasscass | Alexander Starnell | Wasscass (*1977) - also known as al cutter in the early days - is a DJ,producer and head of the label “Klangklar records” from Stuttgart, Germany. His motto until today: underground. Records from Tommi Stumpff, Nitzer Ebb, Front Line Assembly and cubic22 from Berlin introduced him into the world of electronic music. The era of EBM and Techno was born. While the Frontpage magazine promoted East Berlin’s Tekknozid parties, the acid house sound from clubs like Ufo, Walfisch or Tresor could not compete with Frankfurt’s trance sound from DJ Dag and Co that Wasscass saw so much more potential in. He bought his first turntables and mixer in 1992, kicking off his DJ career in August 1993 with his very own gig as al cutter in club Cindy in Tübingen. Wasscass started the evening with a massive 15 minute intro followed by a 6-hour gabba and hardcore set. Meeting Sven Väth in the early 90s in Stuttgart’s No. 1 techno club Oz opened the door for a gig at 1994’s Futuresonic party, where Wasscass performeda highly successful set with 4 decks simultaneously. Another milestone was about to follow in 1999, when the famous DJ and producer opened his first own club that was about to rule the nightlife in Southern Germany for the following years. After closing, Wasscass retired from DJing until 2007, coming back even bigger with numerous gigs around the world in Europe and the US. He showed his versatility at the 2008 trance convention in Brasil, marking another peak in his career when playing the kaZantip festival. Wasscass started producing own tracks in 1996, reflecting his passion for underground far from the standard stuff. While playing finest sounds in clubs and radio, he was however never determined to a certain genre.By now Wasscass is the mastermind behind several projects of all kinds of styles - melting synthi sounds with electro beats and all bearing his special signature: underground |
