Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 15 | Arthur Buezo | Arthur Buezo | Arthur's one-man band of self-branded savage folk is an experience not to be missed! The music is an engrossing fusion crisscrossing the gritty sounds of the desert, fueling a sense of a once Wild West meeting Middle-Eastern mystics and gypsy travelers along the way. It is driving and edgy, yet deeply contemplative and connective to many of the landscapes that nurtured a given song’s inspiration. Born in upstate New York, Arthur now resides in Southern Oregon. He has toured all over the US in 2023, playing over 100 shows from coast to coast. Taken from his bandcamp page.. "Where Arthur Buezo is from and has developed cant be pin-pointed, as he has travelled all of his life. Throughout these travels, music has been the main constant for him. Arthur Buezo has been a professional musician since 2010 and now is a One-Man-Band performer bringing the self titled genre, Savage Folk. Search | Add | 15 | Gooloo | Doing doughnuts in the parking lot of noise rock, hardcore, metal, math rock, no wave, and suburban punk, mid-90s Chicago band gooloo were known for their spazzy live show punctuated by antisocial antics and an inability to tune their guitars with any urgency. Founded as an instrumental two-piece in 1994 by high school friends Andrew Coon (Quatre Tete) and Mark William Pearson (Neptune), they soon tapped local weirdo guitar champ Adam Covalsky (ROM), who in turn brought in boy genius Paul Medrano (ROM) on bass and the quartet was complete. They released a 7" and one full length CD entitled Monkey By Default, recorded by Chicago punk legend Chuck Uchida, via the short-lived-but-influential Boston gnarler label Super 8 Records. Now available again digitally via Wrong Whole Archival Bureau, the Welcome To Atlantis/Cut It Out 7" has been remixed from 8 track cassette by Mark William Pearson and Monkey By Default has been remastered, along with bonus tracks, from the original DAT masters by Scott Craggs of Old Colony Mastering. While not well celebrated, gooloo maniacally sputtered down a path not many bands were taking at the time and possibly influenced someone somewhere. Maybe.

Search | Add | 15 | Drew "Ghosts" Davis | Drew "Ghosts" Davis is an American Industrial Noise musician. As someone with a deep history in the culture, he began making music at a young age under the name Confession 15, which later changed into his main project Lost In A World Of Ghosts, a name which was derived from a collection of lyrics from the Industrial outfit Nine Inch Nails. He also briefly had a Grind project under the name Hayfever which was incredibly short-lived. Although he had made a multitude of releases under Lost In A World Of Ghosts throughout 1995 - 2003, these recordings were never released to the public. In 2020, he befriended Experimental Industrial musician SinThya The Devil, in which they formed the Harsh Noise-Influenced Industrial outfit Velvet Leather Vamptoys. In May of 2021, Davis officially signed on to SinThya's independent label SinThya Music, where a multitude of select tracks from the previously unreleased Lost In A World Of Ghosts would be reworked and released as well as remastered under the label.

The album is mainly song based, built on keyboards and guitars, with Battiato singing in the best tracks Giorno d'estate and Nebbia, and seven of the 12 tracks on the LP composed by one Ed De Joy, who was, according to many sources, Franco Battiato himself. After a later single taken from the LP, Pirolli has stayed in the musical world as arranger and sound engineer. He is not to be confused with the similarly named drummer Roberto Genco that released a jazz-rock LP in 1977. |

Search | Add | 15 | Hernan Rivera Unzueta | Hernán Rivera Unzueta | (b. 1930 - d. 2010) Born in the beautiful region of Totora in 1930, eminent thinkers have emerged from this beautiful region. Totora is a city and municipality of Bolivia, capital of the José Carrasco province in the department of Cochabamba, is located 142 km east of the city of Cochabamba, at an altitude of 2,300 meters above sea level. It is characterized by its buildings with a colonial and republican architecture, with its undulating roofs, where the movie "The Day the Silence Died" was filmed in 1998, when entering it is the first thing that impacts the visitor, from there important ones have also emerged intellectuals such as the writer Dr. Augusto Guzmán Martínez, Armando Soriano Badani and so many illustrious Toreños. There, precisely, the figure of Don Hernán Rivera Unzueta arises, who from a very young age had to work helping his mother for daily bread, without a formal education took advantage of his ability first, playing the harmonium, then with the piano and finally the accordion, was a music teacher since 1947, at the La Paz and Martin Mostajo school for girls in the city of Totora, after several years of experience as a teacher he decided to travel to the city of La Paz in search of of better opportunities. The 60s' opened the "Hernán Rivera Unzueta Accordion Academy", which operated on Ingavi street between Yana-cocha and Junín in the city of La Paz, half a block from Plaza Murillo, recorded 8 discs among small and LPs of unmistakable style, he had the only accordion that had come to Bolivia, with 185 blue bass Hohner brand, dedicating his successes to his beloved Totora whom he always carried in his heart, recording songs like: “Friend”, “Red Carnations” , "Curahuara de Carangas", "Decepción", "El minero", "Los pajarillos", "Noches de Sucre", "Tus miradas" and other songs, which are classic in the accordion performance of Don Hernán Rivera. Accordion teacher, composer and pedagogue, he founded the American School which to this day is still active, with primary and secondary cycles, then opened a private University having educated several generations of young people. Thanks to his vocation to musical art, he created the “National Piano Festival”. This event has been declared by law 4113 as Cultural Heritage of Bolivia, it is held annually in the town of Totora, a Festival that bears his name as a tribute to his meritorious career. Last year 2015 the XII version was held where pianists from all over the country attended, about 160 contestants participated, Master Rivera was decorated, with distinctions for Artistic and Cultural Merit, and was also declared "Favorite Son of Totora". Don Hernán Rivera Unzueta died on February 3, 2010 at the age of 80 in the city of Cochabamba. The Accordion has had important interpreters such as: Macario Pinto in Cbba., Víctor Hugo Zegada from the "Los Planetas" Ensemble, Dulfredo Peñaranda, Pepito Fernández and Oscar Rojas Caballero from the "Los Brillantes" ensemble, Hugo Daza, Jo-sé Barba del "Oriental Trio", Julio Rodrí-guez Berrios of "Los Ases Andinos". |

Search | Add | 15 | Yun Young Ah | 윤영아 | Yun Young Ah (윤영아) born November 13, 1972, is a South Korean singer, who rose to fame in the early 90s with the song 미니 데이트 (Minidate), which is her most popular song up to date. Her well known song "Minidate" is a cover from a Taiwanese movie soundtrack called “Wolf 7” in the late 80s. The song was originally recorded in Mandarin by Jin Yulan, then a Korean version was recorded by Seoul Family in 1989. After winning the Grand Prize in the 1990 KBS Youth Creative Song Festival for her song "오선지에 그리는 슬픔", Minidate was presented to her and was recorded for her debut album in 1991, along with 2 other tracks from the Wolf 7 soundtrack. Following the success of her first album, Young Ah released the albums “Out Door” (1993) and “A Sexy Glance” (1995). After taking a break from the music industry, Young Ah made a comeback in early 2007 within the Korean trot genre. Two new singles “오빠” and “빨리와” were released. Shortly, The First Single Album was released, having “빨리와” as the title track, and which includes new tracks and a new version of Minidate, in a Samba infused Trot style. In early 2008, the album received a reissue called “오빠 사랑해”, having the song revamped to suit more of the trot genre and became the title track for the reissue. It received promotion until late 2008. Young Ah then left the music industry, and continued to perform in various events such as fashion and theatre shows. In 2020, Young Ah made a comeback, appearing on the show "Sing Again" in South Korea as contestant #50. New singles were released such as Minidate 2021, Baby Baby, and Magic Woman. Young Ah is currently active in the music scene, performing and recording new music for her fans and audience. |

Search | Add | 15 | INSHYSVIT | Oleksandr Hladun | Ukrainian musician Oleksandr Hladun, renowned for his primary project Dunaewsky69, ventures into new musical territory with the project INSHYSVIT. This project offers ambient and dark ambient with elements of melodic noise, reflected in its unpredictable sonic experiments. INSHYSVIT releases bring together archival recordings from the early stages of the musician's career and new compositions created today and recently, some of which are utilized during performances at international festivals and live shows. The main concept of the project lies in creating album series that function as serials, unfolding a single story through different musical stages. Each year represents a new narrative, and each month brings forth a new album, challenging oneself to evolve and build upon the creative process. It's not just a challenge for oneself but also a way to explore a wide spectrum of musical ideas deeply. Each story depicted on an album embodies philosophical and historical foundations, adding substance and depth to the musical material. Album covers are designed as parts of a unified artistic image, reflecting the unique inner world of each release. |

Search | Add | 15 | The Woodfalls Band | Vale Road, Woodfalls, Salisbury. Wiltshire. SP5 2LT Nationally, brass band enthusiasts have heard of The Woodfalls Band, but most are intrigued to know where they are situated. Woodfalls is a small village 9 miles South of Salisbury and just one mile from the beautiful New Forest. There are under 1000 people living in the village, but the enthusiasm for music is traditionally very high and musical talent is in abundance. The original idea to form a band at Woodfalls was by Charles and George Mitchell in 1874 at the foundation ceremony of the new Methodist Chapel. Soon, with John Green and other young men from the village they met to form the band, in fact most were from three families, the Greens, Warners and Mitchells. In the early days the members met as often as they could in the house of William Green and in the summer at the request of Mr. Mark Warner in the local chapel. George and Charles Mitchell gave the first music instruction. At first they could only master hymns and eventually attached themselves to the local “Band of Hope” organization, playing hymns at their meetings and for local school treats. The earliest recorded event was in 1882, when Captain Foster, of the Salvation Army was improperly imprisoned and on his release was marched through Salisbury to a tremendous reception by the Woodfalls Temperance Band.

In 1987 he recorded the song, “My Nymphomaniac”, and in 1988 he formed a two-man group called, ONE-TWO (Featuring: Jay-Bee & T. Perry). They performed a song titled, “NO”, at the RAP IT UP Rhode Island talent show held at the Roger Williams Park Temple of Music in Providence, Rhode Island. The theme was substance abuse. After winning second place, he wrote, “The Fork”, and soon after that, they were invited to join other contestants who wrote and recorded songs that were all featured on the full-length Rap It Up! cassette, sponsored by the Urban League of Rhode Island. It was released on September 24, 1988. When the duo lost contact, Jay-Bee went on a brief hiatus and returned in 1991 embarking on a mission to continue writing and recording several projects up until 1993. He sporadically recorded and released his music in 1998, and 2001, and returned with a vengeance in 2015, reinventing himself with the name change, Johnny JayBee Barboza. He continues to record and self-release his independent records to this present day. |

Died April 24, 1975 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, USA. He sometimes went by the name "Harold RIchards". Embrugh was a vocalist who was active in the late 1920s and 1930s as a broadcast and recording artist and in the New York nightclub scene. His main instruments, after his voice, were clarinet and saxophone. Harold was part of several bands. He also was in the band for the New York World's Fair in 1939-1940. He spent several summers at Paul's resort in the Catskills. Emburgh was featured on the RCA Radiotron Varieties on WEAF, New York, and other programs and sometimes sang duets with contralto Welcome Lewis and soprano Margaret Daum. While he was known mainly as a tenor, some of the published radio guides identified him as a baritone. He performed on radio with the William Wirges Orchestra and with Zoel Parenteau's Orchestra. He recorded as a vocalist for several record labels and orchestras between 1927-1937 including Enoch Light (1927), Veo's Hotel McAlpin Orchestra (1928-29). He recorded several sides for Russ Carton's High Steppers Orchestra on the Crown label and in 1932 he made a series of recordings as Harold Van Emburgh and his Orchestra which also featured his singing. Between 1934-1937 he was a vocalist with Jolly Coburn and His Orchestra for Victor Records. He also sang with The Knickerbockers and the Joe Green Novelty Orchestra. |

Search | Add | 15 | Koran Daniels | Saxophonist, born and raised in New York. Koran mainly studied under Bill Ellington (nephew of Duke Ellington) and John Percel. Then he moved on to a brief partnership with the music major program at Cheyney State College in Pennsylvania. Realizing his foundation was solidly formed, Koran joined forces with friends he grew up with in the internationally known group Atlantic Starr to complete his professional status. While active with Atlantic Starr, Koran also recorded with The Temptations, Lonnie Liston Smith and Sun Ra as a section player as well as a soloist. Later as time passed he began to find his range of expression. To further its width a temporary break away from the group was needed to connect with Norman Connors' trumpeter Duke Jones (also an original member of the group before it became Atlantic Starr). Taking a group on tour to asia, Duke brought Koran on board for the trip to the east. As well as experiencing a new culture (Japan), Koran's prime directive was to learn and incorperate the Jazz form Be Bop into his R&B skills. He started to work with the Japanese blues artist Masaki Ueda. Being that Blues is so close to R&B, the professional relationship between Masaki and himself quickly materialized into a longtime friendship. Working together as much as their individual schedules will permit them to. Other Tokyo based artists he works with include Nanase Aikawa, Oguro Maki, and Lyrico. Experiencing the east with more vocabulary, he rejoins forces with his old time friends Atlantic Starr when they bring there tour to Asia. Furthermore, Korian has performed with Bobby Watson (original bassist from Rufus & Chaka Khan), Tommy Campbell, Paul Jackson (original bassist from Herbie Hancock's Headhunters) and others such as Jazz artists Stan Gilbert and Tom Pierson, pop artists such as Swing Out Sister, r&b artists Janet Kaye and Diana King, and reggae artists Sly & Robbie. Dorian hand picked a specially formed Smooth Jazz quartet to perform for the grand opening at the Bilboard Live in Tokyo and has performed at other venues such as the Osaka Blue Note and the Cotton Club in Tokyo.

During the depression, Teter ceased recording, but continued as a radio host in Wisconsin known as “The Song Doctor.” Keeping himself before the public, Teter was the surprise hit of 1950 with a vocal version of an old jazz standard, “Johnson Rag.” With his group, the Jack Teter Trio, his career was rejuvenated and he enjoyed further success in the early 1950's.
