Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Kevin Shiver | Kevin B. Shiver | Through the years, he worked at clubs around the country and soon, he landed a ten-year residency with 'Crown Leisure Corporation', who managed and owned "JJ Whispers" a premier nightclub in Orlando (Florida, USA) that hosted the 'XL106.7 Throw Down' (mix show). About 1986, Kevin befriended several future groups such as Linear and Steve B. and started picking up production tips and equipment. From there he started getting into producing for himself and by 1990 he had his first release (Project 5's "The New Style" and "LSD User"). That group and the subsequent group (see K5) put out records and he learned from those ventures how to properly promote and market his material. |

Search | Add | 3 | Mascara Quartet | Mascara Quartet | Polona Udovič (voice, violin), Timi Krajnc (guitar), Vojko Vešligaj (guitar) Mitja Režman (bass guitar) About Mascara Quartet Polona Udovič (voice, violin), Timi Krajnc (guitar), Vojko Vešligaj (guitar) and Mitja Režman (bass guitar) are classically trained musicians, acclaimed at home and abroad. The Quartet is a reflection of their valuable musical experiences and their deep understanding of music, their artistic careers and their intensive work with numerous artists, chamber groups, orchestras, ensembles, in concert halls and at festivals around the world. The storm of passion and the peace of the ocean, which rests somewhere amid the Iberian Peninsula, South America and their rich folklore, is the musical muse that connects Polona, Timi, Vojko and Mitja. Mascara explores the space inside and outside of the field of classical music; cautiously, respectfully, it colors over the line with a brush of tense strings and the warmth of human voice. Their music expresses so powerfully, so directly and so concisely that poignant longing captured on the streets of Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Lisbon... halfway between bordellos and milongas... joy and a sad melancholy feeling...amongst merchants, sailors and African immigrants...it's the music played at night when all kinds of masks are allowed (mascara - Spanish word for mask), the music which comes with moonshine and dies down at daybreak... Musicians are brought together by a historical crossroads and it is here that they meet every night - those who are still around and those who have long since passed away...On a street corner there is still Mascara Cafe...If you get closer, you will here the music of Mariza, Dulce Pontes, Astor Piazzolla and of many others... of those who have escaped salon parquet floors and cliches. |

Search | Add | 3 | FlyByWire | After the summer of 2009, Phoenix (vocals, rap) decided to create a Greek Rap Rock band with elements of rap, alternative rock and nu metal. The original core of the band, was formed by Phoenix and Dj Technician (turntables, samples), former members of a hip-hop group Sticheia, along with Bill (drums) and Lo-Fi (bass guitar), previous members of a rapcore group «X-Babylon." They had been all brought together in past in a band known as «Group Therapy». This is how FlyByWire (FBYW) began, and the arrival of G-Kid (guitar) in November 2009 completed the band. During the summer of 2010 they started their first live performances and within a year participated in over 30 concerts in Athens and Cyprus. They have appeared in various Festivals such as (B-fest, Agia Napa Youth Festival, Island of Dreams, BandAges, Ziria Music Festival, Atlantis, Athens Hip-Hop Festival, European Music Day, etc.) and music bars such as: (KooKoo, Oxygono, Passport, Bios, AN Club, Seven Sins, Bad City, etc.) with artists: (Socrates Malamas, Kazoulis Vasillis, Georgia Kefalas) and music bands: (Locomondo, Ble, Magic de Spell, Rodes, Artemis- Efthimis, Giants, Trendy Hooliguns, Furror, Musica Ficta, Looming Titties etc.) Their first DEMO CD released in 2010 included 4 songs and was distributed for free at their live performances and radio stations in Athens and counties of Greece for promotional purposes. Two of those songs that stood out and remained high in the charts where Mi anastrepsimos “Irreversible” and X-isosi “Equation". Their first full length album X-isosi released in April 2012 by the independent music label Ixotron Spinners with 8 tracks, an intro outro and some interludes. They have made appearances and played live music in television shows such as, Radio Arvila ANT1, ESC ET1, and on radio, More Radio. They have also given interviews to radio stations (Atlantis Fm, Mind Radio, Rock Fm, Contact, etc.) and have co worked either in the form of sponsorship communication or interviews, with magazines and e-magazines like (Rock Hard, Metropolis, Rock Way , hiphop.gr, bouriblog.com, musicmash.gr, metalhead.gr, hqm.gr, rockoverdose.gr, hiphopmusical.eu, rockap.gr etc.)

Search | Add | 3 | BeyonDévon | Over the years and in throughout the bands many logos the band has stylized their name as BeyonDévon, Beyon Dévon, and Beyon Devon. The most common variation (used on the "A Step Beyon" demo, their 1991 T-shirts, and multiple band logos) is the one-word version, BeyonDévon. Formed in 1988, originally as a cover band. But by early 1989 they had begun writing their own original songs, the first being "Endless Journey" and "Tripsis". Soon after this though, they split with drummer Keith Porter, singer Brian Miller, and guitarist John Stafford. After this they assembled a new lineup and dropped all cover songs, going all-original. The new lineup, fronted by former-Breaker/Blue Steel/Emperor singer Steve Russell, broke out into the Cleveland Metal scene with constant live shows, quickly expanding on the already sizeable following built by the early lineup. They played frequently with Autumn's Ruin, Lanz End, Andromeda, Medalyon, Mercury, Vatican, New Régime, Bison, Donatello and many more. They also played with numerous national acts such as Vicious Rumors, Manowar, Blue Oyster Cult, The Godz, and more. During this time they released their debut demo, "A Step Beyon", in 1990 which has since become extremely rare. Soon after the release of the demo, however, they began to take their music in a much more Progressive direction, citing influences such as "No Exit" era Fates Warning, Crimson Glory, early Queensrÿche, etc. They independently recorded 5 of these new songs on 8-tracks, creating a second demo, and planning to record these, in addition to two others in studio to record their debut album, whose title had not been decided yet. The album would have included the 5 demo songs, "Never the Same", "Live to Die" "Revelations", "Way of the World", "Edens Fall" and others, as well as "One Way Love" and "Angel". While in the studio in 1991, however, BeyonDévon disbanded and the album was never completed, the songs that were finished remain unreleased. Steve Russell and Christopher Michael went on to co-found the Scorpions tribute band Lovedrive in 1991, which Russell recently re-activated, while Steve went on to Theater of Madness and Chris rejoined Keith Porter in Shadowplay. Brian Miller went on to sing for Amon-Ra and Prodigy. Chris later rejoined John Stafford in Twist of Fate. Dave and Rick Rasicci, Brian Berisford, and John Stafford would also go onto play in Moments of Brilliance, before and David and John continued together in the multi-genre-spanning Groove/Nu-metal/Hard Rock/Alternative/Grunge band Thirteen in the 2000s.

Search | Add | 3 | Chap One | Sam McNulty | Keeping music alive has been given new meaning - Despite the unfortunate passing of the truly gifted, multi-talented, producer and emcee - Sam McNulty aka Chap One, we are very lucky to have his music available for us to enjoy. Chris McNulty Sam’s mother is keeping her sons memory and music alive by releasing and promoting his music. Samuel McNulty aka Chap One was born in Sydney, Australia in 1981. In 1988, at age 7, he traveled with his mother to NYC and was raised in NYC through 1999. He returned to Australia at age 19, traveling back and forth between Melbourne and NYC throughout his life. Although Chap One's music clearly has its roots firmly planted in the hip hop genre, he was introduced to many different styles of music as a child growing up between cultures and across borders. His musical lineage was stronger than most, having a mother, father and step father as accomplished, internationally recognized, jazz musicians. As a result, Chap One had musical finesse running through his veins. Growing up surrounded by jazz legends, in the birth place of Hip Hop culture, he re-defined the boundaries of Hip Hop, Jazz, and RnB to masterfully craft a hybrid style reflective of his roots, and uniquely his own. “Sam had a vision for the world. It speaks powerfully through his music, his lyric, his melody, his rap, his poetry. It was louder than the voice he spoke with off the band stand because although his spirit was powerful and magnetic, he was also the softest, gentlest, most compassionate spirit I ever met in my entire life.” Chris McNulty states. “Stanger Frequencies” is a representation of Chap One and his soul. Musically it is the epitome of R&B, and jazz inspired hip-hop that is groovy and catchy enough for any music fan to embrace. However, it’s also authentically live sounding and improvisational for any jazz-heavy folks to dig as well. Lyrically, Sam flows deliciously through metaphorical “interpretations of life,” often expressing his discontent, dropping knowledge on the injustice in the world, but always through a positive lens. It’s just pure, healthy, beautiful music for all. To date Chris McNulty has released 3 albums of Chap Ones music with Strange Frequencies being largely funded by generous donors who made the mastering, artwork, and pressing of the physical copies. Be sure that there's a lot more to come and a lot more to say, from artists, jazz musicians, friends and colleagues, who worked, knew and loved Sam - The Chappy - Chap One.
