Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Winifred Cecil | American soprano and vocal coach (1906-1985). Born Staten Island, studied singing as a child with Marcella Sembrich and the lieder singer Elena Gerhardt. In the early 1930's, she sang on radio programs before her New York recital debut in 1933 at Town Hall. The singer made several concert tours, appearing with symphony orchestras, and then went to Italy in 1937 to sing opera. She appeared at La Scala in Milan, the San Carlo Opera in Naples, and other European houses, appearing notably in Italian and German operas. The outbreak of World War II prevented Miss Cecil from returning to the United States for her scheduled Metropolitan Opera debut. She stayed in Italy, and married Baron Paolo Mazzonis di Pralafera. Miss Cecil returned to the United States after the death of her husband in 1949, and resumed a career as recitalist and soloist. She began teaching at the Juilliard School and the University of Buffalo, and started Joy in Singing, a series of public master classes that provided debut recitals for outstanding young singers. She also continued to coach singers privately, among them the pop singer Roberta Flack.

Search | Add | 2 | Ziggydale Zigfreid | A Tennessee based southern rock musician who performed at many biker events and opened for David Allan Coe. When Sony Music Nashville was promoting Billy Ray Cyrus' single "Burn Down The Trailer Park," which included the line "shoot the pink flamingos out in the yard", Sony staffers placed flamingos in yards up and down Music Row. One night Ziggydale had just finished cutting the track "Freebird Trailer Park" in a Music Row studio and gathered all the flamingos taking them hostage. He left a headless flamingo at Sony's front door with a note that read, "If you want the rest of your flamingos returned, unharmed, you will listen to my music and give us airplay." A copy of his CD, "Only Rebel Child," was left with the note and headless bird. The next day he sent faxes to Sony and WKDF with pictures of headless flamingos stating, until his song was played on 103.3 they would execute one bird a day.

Search | Add | 2 | Die 7 Montenegros | The band was active from 1966-69 in West Germany. Band leader Svetozar Purko Aleksić, originally from Montenegro (Yugoslavia), having left his previous quintet "Die Monte Negros", teamed up with a young band "Ritam" from Novi Sad (Yugoslavia), who had been touring West Germany since 1965, and in summer 1966 they formed together "Die 7 Montenegros". This was their official name although on the record covers they were credited as "Purko und seine Montenegros" or "Das jugoslawische Tanz- und Show-Orchester Montenegro". This band should not be confused with Purko's earlier quintet "Die Monte Negro's", which later transformed into a better known "The Montenegro Five". "Die 7 Montenegros" recorded two albums in Germany and toured extensively in Sweden, Germany and Soviet Union. They disbanded in 1969.

Kenin | American violinist, band leader, and union leader (born October 26, 1901 in Vineland, New Jersey – died July 21, 1970 in New York City) Kenin grew up in Portand, Oregon. In 1925, he played the violin in [a=George Olsen]'s orchestra. When Olsen and others left Portland to accept a hotel gig in Los Angeles, Kenin and other members of the orchestra remained at the Portland Hotel to complete the Olsen band's contractual obligations. The next year, Kenin formed his own orchestra, which was hired to be the house band at Portland's Multnomah Hotel. In 1927, the band recorded four sides for the [l=Victor] label that became popular enough that they were hired as the house band of the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, where they continued to record for [l=Victor].
