Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

His work is spontaneous and experimental, spanning imagery from reclining nudes, matisse-like flowers, and poetic landscapes that contrast with a punk sensibility. Holmes’ paintings are made contemporary by their varied and inventive use of materials (spray paint, neon light, driveway sealant and oil stick), which elevate an aggressive exploration of romance and mythology. Holmes previous solo exhibitions include PULSE MIAMI courtesy of BEERS, London (2016) Heavy Panting and More at the Mike Weiss Gallery, New York (2014); VOLTA NY courtesy of Mike Weiss Gallery, New York; and group exhibitions such as What’s Up 2.0 curated by Lawrence Van Hagen, BEERS London (2016). His work is found in permanent collections worldwide including the Elton John Aids Foundation, Sony Music, Dreamworks Studio, and Def Jam Records among others.

He started playing the guitar at an early age, and with his younger brother Emmanuel they formed the groups 'Everlasting', and 'Cisum' and played in Brittany during the 1970s. Bertrand also worked in ballroom orchestras from the age of 15 and this, for ten years to earn a living. In 1980, at the age of 25, he decided to leave Rennes where he had lived for seven years and moved to Paris. In Paris, he played with pianists Mico Nissim and François Couturier, saxophonist Philippe Delettrez, double bassist Jean-Paul Céléa, drummer François Laizeau, music inspired by jazz and modal music. He played in the group of the three Kabyle sisters "Djurdjura", and with the "text" singers Romain Didier or Jean Guidoni, with the progressive folk group "Gwendal", the jazz violinist fusion Patrick Tillman, the drummer Xavier Jouvelet, accomplice of organist Emmanuel Bex and his afro-jazz music… In 1981 and 82, he recorded and played with the group “Sax Pustuls”, but this one unfortunately dissolved quite quickly. It is his meeting with artists from the theater that will be decisive for the rest of his career as a nomadic musician. He became actor, musician and composer for many theater groups and shows.

Search | Add | 3 | Ali Doğan Gönültaş | Ali Doğan Gönültaş | Ali Doğan Gönültaş was born in Kiğı, Eastern Anatolia, Turkey. Graduated from Kocaeli University Archeology and Radio TV and Cinema departments, the musician started his professional music career with the band Ze Tijê, of which he is one of the founders and author of many of the compositions and arrangements, as well as performer of several instruments and the lead singer. They made hundreds of concerts in Turkey and released two studio albums “Yanlışımız Var!” (2015) and “Ur” (2019), in a postrock, collage and experimental genres. Since 2018, he has been continuing his music production with his solo concert series “Xo Bi Xo”. This project, in which the musician includes songs in Kurmanci and Turkish as well as Zazaki, his mother tongue, has an experimental feel to it as well as traditional styles and themes. In addition, his oral history and field research studies, which he began in 2007, continue with the album Kiğı, which he self-produced and released in 2022. Kiğı, which is also the birthplace of the musician, describes the specific musical language and style of an Anatolian/Mesopotamian settlement. He contributed to the soundtracks of films such as My Own Life (2014) and Şeng (2021). He took part in the project titled “Voice of the City as an Example of Intangible Cultural Heritage (Diyarbakır)” as a composer. In 2020, he prepared and presented the television program “Voices and Traces” for Can TV. The program, which consisted of conversations and musical performances, was about non-mainstream musical genres and schools in Turkey. In 2021 and 2022 he is presenting and producing the TV show “Müzik Olayı” also for Can TV. In 2022 Ali Doğan was signed by the son of the old master Seîdê Goyî, a dengbej (singing storyteller) of traditional Botan music, to arrange the pieces and be the producer of the EP Stranên Dilê Min (songs of my heart, in Kurdish). About Kiğı In May of 2022, Ali Doğan Gönültaş released Kiğı, his first solo and self-produced album that emerged as a result of more than ten years of field research. The work, which is a personal look at the 150-year musical process of Kiğı, the musician's birthplace, consists of works in the regional languages of Krmancki, Kurmanci, Kirdaski, Armenian, and Turkish. This thematic album consists of stylized performances accompanied by ethnomusicological data, with the goal of providing a discourse and a voice to remember despite the fading of memory. The project evolved from an "oral history" motivation into a musical memory work. In the project, which includes thematic and technical music forms, thematic contents such as Govend, lament, job songs, Xerîbîyê and prayer forms are conveyed with the modal characteristics of the region. Kiğı has been #1 in the Balkan World Music Charts in the second quarter of 2022 and #11 in September for the Transglobal World Music Chart. |

Search | Add | 3 | DJ Windmill | Matt Windmill | got into DJing by chance! A friend of his and Tony Justice’s bought some decks and used to hang around in his bedroom playing records. A friend played one of his mix tapes at work and his boss was the guy that ran the Lovelite crew at The Grid Club in Luton. He liked it and offered him a DJ residency there. After a while Matt sent tapes out and picked up a few gigs – ESP at Milwaukees, Bass Box in London, Stamina in Oxford and whatever raves he could get booked for. A while later hooking up with the Exodus crew who were running illegal raves around the Luton area and pretty much played for them every Saturday from the very first one to two years later. The most famous was probably a New Year’s Eve bash they did that had 10K people attend according to the local paper!. |
