Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 3 | Duo Leon - Rios | Folk group officially formed on February 5, 1955 by David León Libuy and Juan Olivares Ríos in the city of Viña del Mar, although temporarily baptized with the name of Los Tempraneros. David León and his great friend Juan Olivares were born in 1938. David sang the second voice and played the harp, while Juan was the first voice and guitar. They were mainly good friends since childhood, beginning to play together from the age of eleven. Its history stretched into the late '90s. Its members are: Juan Olivares Ríos, first voice and guitar and David León Libuy, harp and second voice The collective album Cuecas de la ramada oficial from 1970, where they participated with other musicians from the Valparaíso region, presents them like this: “David León and Juan Ríos, were born into artistic life in February 1955, under the friendly eaves of Rancho Criollo from Viña del Mar, from where they set off on a tour across the country. In 1958, they had the opportunity to perform in Goyescas, now disappeared, for 45 days. Later they made various tours throughout the country and on two occasions, to Peru and Argentina”. As that record, released by the Phllips label in 1971, says, the ensemble of the two friends from Viña Marta was forged fundamentally live. In 1971 they qualified in the folkloric competition of the XII Viña del Mar Song Festival with the tune “Espigas para un recuerdo”, winning in the category of Best Performer. The same year they participated in the Huaso de Olmué Festival and won the Guinda Festival with “Tonada en la noche”. It was then that they finally recorded their own album, the LP edited by Phillips Dúo León-Ríos. The presentation of the album, written by the director of Radio Porteña Jaime Atenas (father of the Congreso saxophonist) thus describes its history and the delay in registering its songs, according to the transcription of the Cuecas Chilean Recording Songbook site. “The León-Ríos duo was not formed or made for a Song Festival. I met them more than 15 years ago, when they were still wearing shorts, but I also met them with their harp and guitar and their tremendous love for Chilean folklore, I know them well and I know of their many pilgrimages to show their art and only 1971 comes to be a year of effective achievements. Maybe you don't know them, despite their many important performances: Tour with Chile Laughs and Canta, Festival de la Inda, in Olmué, Casino Municipal and especially in a nightclub in Viña del Mar, where they spent more than six years waiting for the hour… and the hour arrived”. In 1972 they qualified again at the Viña Festival with "Pa' no soñarte", and although their musical profession was displaced several times by other activities, they remained active until the '90s. They traveled to unusual destinations, such as Dubai or Toronto, performing before the Chilean colonies, and in 1987 they returned to the Viña del Mar Festival accompanying the singer Tito Manríquez. Juan Olivares passed away in 2011 and David León Libuy passed away on February 18, 2016. His remains rest in the Parque Jardín del Mar Cemetery. Viña del Mar, Chile

Search | Add | 3 | Sk-Van | SK-VAN | SK-Van "group that began playing since 1999, its original members Sergio Gonzáles (Vos, Guitar), Fernando Miranda (Bass at that time) and Aldo Farfán (Drums) already played together since 1998 in" Less Than Zero ". At the time when Kevin Dickens (former guitarist) joined the band, the group began to form a musical style and mature a little more in every aspect, from where the first songs were born "Ritalin", "A new challenge", " Where are you? "," To my panas "themes that began to sound in the movement of that moment. Kevin was separated from the band due to problems between the members and immediately the Coello brothers (one of them, guitarist of G.O.E.) moved into the void that did not last for long, that they left the group on their own. Christian Nieto (69 seconds) was the replacement, one of the most important members that the band has had the first guitar, time where songs like "A special place", "Someone", "Beyond" were born, and at that moment They decided to record their first demo between 1999 and 2000 called "Without Knowing where to go ...". Nieto was separated from the group, at that moment Iván Casanova (69 seconds) and Andrés Parreño (Never Jamás) in different concerts helped for a moment on the bass. They received a call from Christian Guillén (Bass) who had just played with the group Rek and without thinking much he was a person to everyone's liking and is currently the new member of "SK-Van" with which they left to play outside the country and soon they will release their first album with a Colombian label "2 Many Records". They have a style of melodic punk category, combine the Emo and fast rhythms in their songs, their lyrics mostly deal with experiences that are marked in the memories of people and how to overcome them when they are negative. |

Instantly, B-Funky realized all he needed to arouse a crowd were 2 turntables, a mixer and an impressive collections of funky house vinyls. Born in Beverwijk, near Amsterdam, B-Funky was close to the beating heart of house-music. This is the place where B-Funky grows out to be a well skilled DJ: constantly on a mission to create an inspiring fusion of uplifting beats an funky house sounds. B-Funky: “It’s indeed a blessing and of course a pleasure to spin the decks in Holland’s hottest clubs that brought the international house-scene so many amazing talents”. Back in 2010, while still active as a DJ, B-Funky started producing his own funky house tracks. The Sound of Ibiza Records signed B-Funky in 2012. After the first release on this label (Sekunda, 2012) B-Funky got invitated by Giel Beelen, one of the leading DJ’s of the national radio station 3FM. B-Funky mixed a live set during Giel's radioshow “Nachtegiel”. |

Search | Add | 3 | The Göteborg String Theory | The String Theory | The String Theory is a GRAMMY-nominated artist collective based in Berlin and Gothenburg, that since 2007 explores the outskirts of contemporary neo-classical music, electronica and wild pop by means of collaborative workshops, studio recordings and live performances. The String Theory pursues a long term experimental approach, investigating new ways of interdisciplinary collaboration, incorporating visual art, developing new performance concepts and facilitating international artist networking. Being essentially experimental in nature, The String Theory never stops questioning its own goals and sets out to regularly re-invent the way each separate project is conducted, and to further develop the unique sound of the ensemble. “Led by dynamic conductor PC Nackt, the intrepid orchestra embrace the unorthodox, the contemporary and the traditional, combining electronic background noises with luscious string arrangements and insistent brass. Mixing spectral beauty with gifted musicianship, this isn't just impressive, it's progressive." |

Search | Add | 3 | The Gyrators | The Gyrators are a collective of musicians paying homage to the early Jamaican ska, reggae and roots scene. Their work is a loving tribute to the extraordinary musicianship of these early pioneers. The project was concieved by drummer and producer Joe Colfar; recruiting bassist Dan Walker, guitarist Stuart Andrews, and trumpeter Mike Murphy to record a version of Val Bennett's 'The Russians are Coming!' Endeavouring to stay true to the enchanting spirit and sound of the original, the four of them paid great attention to recapturing the roots of the record before adding their own splash of seasoning to it. With one track completed The Gyrators were born. Over the course of 2019 they chose more songs to recapture; from Lynn Taitt's stomping ska attack of "Storm Warning" to The Soul Vendors' hazy daydream of "Musical Science"; and recruited even more fantastic musicians to contribute to the authenticity of each track: Keys were provided by both Nic Dacre and Jamie Bullok, saxophone by Vanessa Humpreys, trombone by Ruben Durazo and addition trumpet by Glenn Holdaway. The result of this labour of love can be heard on The Gyrators' album 'Sounds From Another Dimension' out April 2020.

Search | Add | 3 | Ojax | Born and raised on the mean streets of Stockholm, Ojax, started his musical journey when he was 7, when he was given a musical instrument by his Brother. It was at this moment that Kevin knew he wanted to be part of 'The Scene'. He first became interested in the electronic music scene in 1994. In 2004, aged 14, his Mum and Dad bought him his first set of turntables. At the age of 17, he was already being touted as Stockholm's answer to DJ River. He did various warm up sets before the doors opened in clubs hosting major names such as DJ Tove Lo, and many more. After receiving several offers, Ojax joined OWN MUSIC, who helped distribute his first internet release, ''Say Goodbye' with Cami' in 2017. Though the single didn't sell as many as he probably would have liked, Ojax is a fighter and since 2018 has been locked in the studio perfecting his craft. Suffice to say, the 'House Music' scene should be expecting big things from Ojax in 2018.

Search | Add | 3 | Yamina Enedahl | Yamina Enedahl | Singer Born October 27, 1979 is a Swedish free diver , lecturer, moderator, artist and mental coach. In 2016, she released the album - How deep is the ocean, on Opus3 records. Yamina is a person who loves the process of development; whether setting a world record in freediving; coaching individuals, and organizations, authoring books, penning speeches and songs; or describing and exploring our inner capacity for sustainable achievement. Though she could swim by the age of two, it was only when Yamina began swimming competitively, at age 5, that she learned to swim with her head above the surface – a prelude of things to come. ”I remember how I used to ”invent” classical music in my head as I swam lengths in the pool”, she says. Prematurely ending her swimming career at the age of 14, after becoming dissatisfied with the authoritative nature of traditional coaching, and not wanting the measure of her self-worth to be derived solely from her competitive results. At the age of 16 she became a jazz piano student at Södra Latin, where she also started composing songs and wrote a children´s musical for big orchestra. There she noticed that the performance culture she met as a young swimmer also had found it´s way in to the cultural world. ”To me music is simple. Either you´re touched by it or you´re not. Either you like it or you don´t.” After befriending a colossal manta ray, while on a trip to Indonesia in her twenties Yamina returned to the world of aquatic competition. This is where Yamina discovered free diving. During her studies at the Scandinavian International University, Yamina started to develop her mental techniques; there, she became a Certified Mental Trainer Master. Only by integrating mental training techniques into practical application within her free diving training, was Yamina able to overcome her fears and challenge the traditional mindset of performance and performance culture. Soon, she discovered and developed a philosophy of achievement, that has lead Yamina to become Sweden’s first world record holder in free diving. During this period of her life her music became a private space that she only shared with only one very encouraging close friend. Yamina has continued to further refine her perspectives, and to extend these exciting principals of organizational and leadership development into a variety of fields. ”My professional vision is to make a positive difference in more and more people’s lives, my goal is to live that vision, as I develop my own personal qualities”, says Yamina. ”How deep is the ocean is a production made under the values of respect, trust and cooperation where every musician and recording engineer has contrubuted with his/her unique expertise, ideas and personality. Music is the extended language of my soul and I choose to operate in and create the context of development and growth, for a better society, and a better world!” |

Search | Add | 3 | Kari Arnett | Minneapolis, Minnesota Heartbreak Americana Growing up in rural south central Wisconsin, Kari Arnett was experimenting with writing, playing, and singing music from a young age, including teaching herself to play piano. It wasn't until her early 20s that Arnett taught herself guitar and began performing as a traveling musician. Soon her inspirations led her to draw rich sounds from older country/folk styles of music and brought her into the Americana scene. Surfacing lyrics from love and loss, Arnett's lush, imaginative, storyteller approach to narrative songwriting may appeal to fans of The Civil Wars, Gillian Welch or Neko Case. While more old-school folk/country lovers, who enjoy Patty Griffin, Lucinda Williams or Emmylou Harris, may appreciate Arnett's use of music as the universal outlet to convey emotion in the spaces between the silence and the sound. Arnett released her first EP Midwestern Skyline in July of 2015 and has garnered praise from American Songwriter (Nashville,TN), as well as critical acclaim from local and national music critics. Kari has performed at many prestigious stages such as: The Bluebird Cafe (Nashville, TN), The Dakota Jazz Club (Minneapolis, MN), Aster Cafe (Minneapolis, MN), Alpine Valley VIP Club (East Troy, WI), High Noon Saloon (Madison, WI), The Turf Club (St. Paul, MN), and many more. With her fans support and enthusiastic responses from the press, Arnett took her songs on the road to promote her EP. Her newest full length album was released September 20, 2018: When The Dust Settles When The Dust Settles has been featured in Rolling Stone, No Depression, Wide Open Country, The Daily Country, The Bluegrass Situation, and more! Kari Arnett has performed alongside artists such as: Tyler Gilbert (CA), Michael McDermott, The Wind and The Wave, Kaleo, Laney Jones and The Spirits, Frazey Ford (The Be Good Tanyas), Mary Bragg, Emily Keener (The Voice), Chastity Brown, Paul Thorn, Lilly Hiatt, and Erin Rae. Search | Add | 3 | Dan Grain | Danny de Graan | Although Danny de Graan (AKA Dan Grain) worked and still works in the contemporary art music scene as a composer, his career started in the early 90's in the dance scene. As one of the producers of the group Cyberlab, he released several EP's and performed in the Netherlands and Germany, sharing the stage with artists like Yves de Ruiter, Sven Vath and Paul van Dyk e.a.. Music studies at the University of Amsterdam and Portsmouth England and later at the Rotterdam Conservatory, kept him from pursuing a career in the dance scene. Yet, he retained a strong feeling of connection to the music, especially to groovy, atmospheric, dark and melodic techno and house. Working as a contemporary art music composer he has written many compositions for all kinds of settings ranging from small and large ensembles, vocalists, (microtonal) organ, harpsichord, pan flute and much more. Recent work consists of a mini opera about Facebook and a composition for feedback only controlled by 4 players and a computer. In 2003, Danny de Graan remixed the classic "O Superman" by Lauri Anderson for the infamous record label Staalplaat. That was the impulse that reignited his interest in dance music. In 2008, he made a demo which received great responses from Dave Clark, among others, and motivated him to start producing again. Danny draws his inspiration from many genres, ranging from Dance, Jazz, Folk, Rock, Pop and Classical music. His solo debut was on Eevonext records with his track The Run. His first EP Happy Accidents will be released beginning 2012. Since 2011 Dan Grain started the producers duo DAN9ER together with Gerard Snippe (AKA 9ER). Their debut is on aDepth Audio with the sampler Emerging Elements (limited edition coloured vinyl) |
