Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Wendy Darling Blackwood | Wendy Farrell-Pastore | Wendy "Darling" Blackwood is an album cover artist / photographer and backing vocalist most notably for the band Edison's Children & the solo albums of Edison's Children's Rick Armstrong, the Son of Neil Armstrong. Wendy is famed for her dark vivid imagery featured not just on the band's album covers but in the accompanying 20 page haunting "lyrics & images booklets" that appear in every one of Edison's Children's full length albums, with each song, section or excerpt of the concept album, having its own personal "album cover" to give listeners a visual cue to what they should see in their mind's eye while listening to the music. Her stage name Wendy Darling Blackwood is a combination of being given the moniker "Wendy Darling" in honor of his song Neverland by the band Marillion in the liner notes of Marillion's album "Sounds That Can't Be Made" under Steve Hogarth's credits: "h would like to thank "Eric Pastore (Blackwood) and Wendy Darling". It is the first time that her new stage name "Wendy Darling" appears in any publication. The last name of Blackwood came in credit to her husband Eric Blackwood lead singer and lead guitarist of Edison's Children whom she married in 2000. Wendy has created all of the interior artwork, CD plate and album covers for every one of Edison's Children's 8 releases (4 full length albums, 2 EP's, 1 Making of CD, 1 Vinyl Release) and all 3 of Rick Armstrong (Son of Neil Armstrong/Bassist-Guitarist-Keyboardist for Edison's Children) as well as doing backing vocals for Edison's Children's, "Where Were You" / "Where Were You" (Jakko's King Crimson Mix) / "Seventh Sign" / "Seventh Sign (Single Edit)" on the Edison's Children albums "The Final Breath Before November" and "Somewhere Between Here and There". Wendy is co-author of the "coffee table book" 500 Ballparks for Thunder Bay Publishing in 2 Editions in which Wendy personally photographed 500 baseball parks around the world. Wendy has also worked as a Property Technician, Set Dresser and Picture Car driver on the Movies "I Am Legend (starring Will Smith", "Loving Leah", "Law & Order: Criminal Intent", "Law & Order: SVU" and "The Backup Plan (starring Jennifer "JLo" Lopez). |

He also served in the United States armed forces as a PFC Officer in World War II. Although he had known the young blood Davis sisters for years, it was speculated that he was a distant cousin. He played piano with a strong jazz, bouncy rag-time influence which many early church-goers were slow to accept as religious music in the very early 1950s. He lived on the second floor of the Davis family home in Philadelphia where he also died from a heart attack.

Search | Add | 4 | Virtual Trio | Virtual Trio are a collective of Irish musicians formed in 2008. They released their debut album Grief Proof Pauper in 2012. Their ninth album Drift, released 3rd May 2022. The group played together for the first time in 2017, after nearly 10 years of working together across continents. Their 2012 debut album Grief Proof Pauper was the culmination of 4 years of work, with emigration starting their collaboration across multiple continents. They have continued intercontinental collaboration since, and employ diverse methods to create music - their 2014 album Departures was improvised and recorded in one day, Dextor Gordon's words became a perfect glue for 2015's 16 minute long Fishbowl, Noam Chomsky was employed for vocals on 2016's Doing Great (he was clear that it "sounds fine"!), and the group released 3 albums and a single in June 2018 to celebrate a decade of fun. 2020's Six marked a shift for the group towards more accessible and lively music, although they twisted towards weird again with 2021's genre hopping meditative Vile Circus Body Scan. Their exploration of synthesizers brought them to a more relaxed (and sometimes dark) place with 2021's Cinema and 2022's Drift.

Search | Add | 4 | Paulão Sakae Tahira | Paulo Sakae Tahira | Respected Brazilian DJ and music researcher DJ Paulão gives Spannered a sniff of his sprawling record collection When it comes to digging up lost Brazilian classics, Paulo Sakae Tahira is something of an archaeologist. A full-time researcher of música brasileira from the second half of the 20th century, Paulão (that's 'Big Paul', to non-Portuguese speakers) isn't, thankfully, the kind of vinyl addict who keeps his prized finds hidden away under lock and key; his DJ performances have taken him all over Brazil, and as far afield as France, Spain and Switzerland. Hailing from the concrete jungle of São Paulo, Paulão moved to the nearby city of Campinas in the early nineties, where he developed both his skills as a DJ and his reputation as a discerning connoisseur of his country's music (with particular focus to the 60s and 70s). There he helped to establish Rádio Muda, a terrestrial radio project to which he still contributes. Together with friends, he was responsible for bringing big name acts to Campinas during the nineties with a series of seminal parties, Festas Black. In the years since, Paulão has been involved in promoting various other events, and has played alongside many of the country's best-known artists. He also writes for the excellent Brazilian music site Gafieiras. Now based back in São Paulo, Paulão is currently finalising details of his second European tour (you can find out where and when to catch him by visiting his site). His scope as a record selector extends far beyond the shores of Brazil, to Afrobeat, New Orleans jazz and various other strains of Black music and rare groove, but if you want a taste of real deal Brazilian hot stuff, check this out... |

Search | Add | 4 | Ex-Crocodyles | Spanish Pop-Rock band formed in Palma de Mallorca in the early 1980s by Ivan Tobias (guitar, vocals and organ) and Juan Manuel Riera (guitars and vocals), before long the group would join Avelino Franco (drums) and Xavier Fiol (bass). Also credited as Ex-Crocodiles. Although they were of the first groups to start the New Wave in Mallorca together with Forats Negres, [a=Zincpirithione] or Mac, no edit would achieve their first album until 1984. Shortly after recording the Maxi would be left without drummer and was when they met Manolo Iglesias, also known as [a=Manuel de Palma], former [a=Tequila (9)] then banished by Mallorca, who agreed to fill the vacancy. But it was not too long and barely played live together, shortly after would separate group. Anyway, the separation was not final since Ivan Tobias and Juan Manuel Riera coincide in Madrid and would return to play a season together. From this period would be born in 1988 his second Mini-LP. After the split Juanma continued but this time under the name The Crocodiles. Search | Add | 4 | Kurac Od Ovce | Kurac Od Ovce (or roughly Sheep's Dick) was a band from Kutina, Croatia. It was formed in 1993 and had a couple of line-up changes through the years. They were one of the bands/people involved at Baraka venue/project. They played a straightforward melodic hardcore/punk. The lyrics are in a straight edge vein but they're not preaching, they're angry and personal. Lots of songs of this band are forgotten, but few of them are recorded on 3 albums. Their last release was album Čovjek S Greškom (2001) released only on tape. It's a double A side release, same tracks on both sides of the tape which was released on Humanita Nova label.

Search | Add | 4 | qoru | Jac Neich | Based in Australia, Jac Neich (professionally known as ‘qoru’) started producing hip hop music reminiscent of the 1990’s when he was 15. He began to distribute his music on SoundCloud going under a persona named ‘jxcques’ which was later changed after the release of his 2020 mixtape ‘qoru, vol. 1’. In February of 2021 he released the following sequel, ‘vol. 2’. In an interview he stated; “Looking back on them, I’m not really fond of how basic they were. But I remember they were merely my way of starting out and getting onto the hip-hop scene.” Later in the year, he resubmitted both ‘vol. 1’ and vol. 2’ on streaming services as a joint project, named ‘growing up’. After he found his place in the industry, qoru shook the ground with project after project, making 2021 not only his sophomore year as a producer but his most fruitful year to date. These projects would include ‘THE LAST STRAW’ as well as releasing his first commercial album ‘Dropout’ featuring Kid Jac and Mxlly. His second album, ‘Intoxicated’ (released 29th October) held no features and reached the number one placement on the Bandcamp discover page for instrumental hip hop before its release. “Heaven (You're Gone)” was used as the headlining song for a bandcamp radio exclusive, titled ‘The Hip Hop Show’ Episode 25, hosted a week before the album release, on 22nd October. Finally, Intoxicated is currently at an astonishing 10,000 plays (and counting) on bandcamp. |

The sounds the band produces range from heavy psychedelic rock to abstract improvisation with plenty of free jazz-influenced drumming and fuzz guitar destruction.

Search | Add | 4 | Manuel JdEM | Emanuele Misurina | Manuel JdEM was born in Pinerolo (Italy) on 27 th October 1986 and since his first years he showed a great interest in music and a natural feeling with it. When he was 10 years old he began to study music: piano and then clarinet. When he was 15 he bought his first vinyl. His talent was imminent and he had no problem in acquiring mixing skills and, in a few time, he began to spin his dj set, that was a 360° dance/club set, in several clubs. In 2004, he decided to leave House music selections and he devoted himself to Hardstyle music. In this year, he won a djing competition, which was organized at Guell Disco in S. Secondo di Pinerolo (Italy). In the beginning of 2005, Fusion staff was born: a staff, who organizes parties on Sunday afternoon at “Le Cinemà” Disco, in Roletto (TO - it), where he's still resident dj and Booking Manager. In 2005 he became part of Parhasar Staff, so he worked at Altavista (ex Cellophane) in Rimini, Domina in Toirano (SV), GOA in Avigliana (TO), DUE in Cigliano (VC), at Sundance Festival in Biella, Ultimo Impero Discotempio in Magliano Alpi (CN), Vogue Disco in Castelsardo (SS), L'Acropol in Paris - France and The Emporium in Coalville Leicestershire UK. Manuel is also the founder, with DJ Vortex, of Hardforum ( www.hardforum.org ), born in the beginning of 2005, which is a very important meeting point for Italian hardstylers. It creates a direct link between the audience and dj/producers. In 2005 Manuel JdEM has his “musical birth” and he spins his dj set on the best dance floors in north Italy . His live sets are appreciated for variety and musical selection concerning Hardstyle, Italian Style, Hardtrance and Jumpstyle. In his dj sets you can listen also to his personal tracks, which he produces in his personal music studio. |

Search | Add | 4 | Aaron Jaxon Band | Whether he is performing at Nashville’s legendary Bluebird Café or during the NATO headquarters Christmas party in Brussels, Aaron Jaxon is one part guitar master and one part lyrical storyteller. The East Texas native, now living in Johnson City, Tennessee, packs a blend of rock and roll, blues, country and Americana ... creating Aaron’s unique sound referred to as “roots rock.” Aaron’s lyrics are reminiscent of the likes of Bob Dylan and Tom Waits, focused on telling stories of spirituality and survival through tough situations. 2021 is set to be a busy year for Aaron. His latest single, "Long Before The Sun", released on April 23rd and a full-length album is expected to drop later in the year. Aaron has already released two EPs to date; his debut EP, The Aaron Jaxon Band, dropped in 2013 and the follow-up EP, Light on the Inside, was released in 2015. The Aaron Jaxon Band and Light on the Inside were recorded at The Sound Asylum Recording Studio and were co-produced by Aaron and Troy Whitson. Aaron's music is available via popular services such as iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and can be purchased through Jaxon’s official website. When he isn’t working on new music, Aaron volunteers some of his free time to helping recovering alcoholics taking part in twelve-step programs. Aaron loves to travel, having visited locations like New York City, Tokyo, Glasgow and Paris. He is also an avid viewer of television shows like Game of Thrones, Narcos and Goliath.

Search | Add | 4 | Burnt Fur | Burnt Fur (2003-2010) was an electronic band from Boston, MA comprised of Scott Harrison (vocals, guitar, songwriter, producer), Shana Simpkins (vocals, drum pads), Patrik Tirda (samples and keyboards) and Ian St. Germain (bass, drum pads). The band surfaced in response to the wave of artists revisiting the sounds of '80's new wave, intending to perform as a full band rather than standing by a cluster of electronics that could do most of the work. Each member would perform with a primary instrument, but they were known to swap instruments often depending on what suited their songs. Although heavily influenced by new wave, Harrison and St. Germain had previously been in a band called Tracy Husky that sounded much more like the gauzy, feedback and distortion sound of Sonic Youth than the dance driven sound of New Order. They wanted to blend these ideas together, creating an organic yet sonic sound coupled with bright, precise electronics. Tirda would manipulate sampled sounds from the golden age of arcade games to blend in and out of Harrison's swirling, effect driven guitars. Having four members ensured that there was always someone performing on the stand up drum pad kit, which would further differentiate the band from the majority of electronic acts that did not have live percussion. Gathering together the songs they had created from 2003-2006 the band recorded two singles to release while they continued to perform locally and complete their debut album. "Vitriol," the first single released the summer of 2007, was chosen to contrast heavily against what the band perceived as weak electronic acts in the aftermath of the electroclash scene that had occurred earlier in the decade. The band decided to release cover songs for b-side material, New Order's "Ultraviolence," and The Human League's "Seconds," again for contrast and to show solidarity with the selections. The single received mixed reviews but connected the band with some of the right locals, ones that would understand where they were headed. The band's next single in November of that year was "Radiate," which would have moderate success in Europe and the west coast of the US. Slowly the band built a following in their hometown while completing their debut album during the winter. In spring 2008 their debut Unfurl was released. This gave the band the break they needed with the local and national press via blogs and music websites. The band was featured in Electronic Musician magazine in a piece covering D.I.Y. electronic releases in April that year. Most reviews were impressed with the release, with a few detractors that would clearly prefer their electronic music more polished and with layers of production. Having a full electronic band meant having a lot of equipment to carry in order to perform, and this led to the band performing sporadically in the New England area. While planning to embark on a tour on the east cost of the the US to support the album, Shana Slater announced she would be parting with the band as she was moving to Florida. Quickly they adapted to become a three piece band, but the missing fourth member meant they could no longer play as many instruments in a live setting. After fulfilling any performance dates they had scheduled the search for a new fourth member began. The third single from Unfurl titled "Homage" was released to allow the band time to find a new member without losing the momentum they had work so hard for. It received less press and was less promoted than their previous singles. During the fall of 2008 the search was complete when Jean Kennedy, a friend of the band, joined as a permanent member. She had no experience performing or even playing instruments, but the band felt she fit into the group best out of any potential replacements. While the band began writing material for their sophomore release in 2009, tragedy struck for Kennedy as a family member became seriously ill. It was apparent she would be the caretaker for children during and after the illness, and meant she could no longer perform or work with the band toward their next release. Having to once again adapt to become a three-piece band, the writing was on the wall -- too many changes and set backs were wearing the band down. Soon after Kennedy's departure, live performances ceased other than to book a Halloween show in Boston where they introduced new songs they were working on amongst some covers of their favorite goth songs, including a cover of the Halloween Theme from John Carpenter's Halloween. The band once again spent the winter writing new material. In spring 2010 the band performed a farewell show in Boston, MA, telling the audience they were merely taking a break to finish their next album, leaving the door open for a return. The sporadic performance schedule meant they were reaching fewer ears however; and although the show was well attended it was clearly the end of the line and Burnt Fur disbanded. Harrison moved on to begin a solo project under the name Love Times Infinity and serve as guitarist for Daniel Ouellette and the Shobijin, and the other members dispersed. The band was later briefly featured in the independent documentary "Life on the V: the Story of V66," released in 2014 and shown in several major cities as a selection for independent film festivals that year and in 2015. The film details the rise and fall of the Boston area music video television station V66 during 1985-1986, showcasing local music videos alongside national artists. Burnt Fur participated in the film as the music station was the catalyst to Harrison's interest in performing.

Search | Add | 4 | Full Time Soldiers | Seattle rap group, “F.T.S.” (Full Time Soldiers), was formed in 1996 when mutual friends introduced D-Sane to a pair of rappers named Smoke Dog & J-Dub. F.T.S. was originally a 3 man group, with D-Sane not only being an MC, but also handling the producer, DJ and recording engineer roles as well. Not long after, the trio would meet rappers Villain and Drama, drafting them into the squad. Soon, BD (or Brokedown originally) would emerge from prison to join the group as well, making a total of 6 members. Their early 4-track recordings from 1997 sprawled into what would later become known as the “Keep it Real” CD and was widely distributed amongst friends throughout the Puget Sound area. As bootleg copies of their material started to circulate, people became hooked on this new Seattle sound that featured spitfire lyrics and hard-hitting production from then seasoned beatsmith, D-Sane. After receiving large amounts of positive feedback from fans hungry for more, the label and artists decided it was time to put out a real album. In early 1998, F.T.S. began working on their debut self-titled album “Full Time Soldiers.” During this time, Brazy-J came into the mix, putting the group at 7 members. Unfortunately not long after, personal disagreements between D-Sane, Smoke Dog & Brazy-J would have D-Sane removing the 2 from the group and involvement in the project. Hence the reason they were absent from the debut album. Around this same time, D-Sane received an odd voicemail on his pager of somebody playing music with a dope MC rapping about Seattle. He eventually discovered the anonymous voice belonged to none other than their neighborhood homie Madd Dogg, immediately drafting him into the group and once again bringing the total to 6 members. F.T.S. was already partially into the recording of the album, but managed to get Madd Dogg onto several songs and redo some photography for the cover. Madd Dogg is not featured in any other pics because he wasn’t a member at the time of the initial photo shoot. In August 1998, D-Sane formally started Street Level Records and F.T.S. went on to release their debut album, gaining an incredible buzz in the Puget Sound area and selling over 1,000 copies. For a fledgling indie label and group, it was a major accomplishment. This was confirmed when SLR & F.T.S received their first national media attention by being named in the Rap Sheet Magazine 1998 Regional Round–Up as one of the few Seattle groups to “shake things up.” Around the same time, Villain opted to leave the group for reasons unknown and F.T.S. was once again 5 members. Following the success of their first album, F.T.S. expanded the group roster by drafting Byrdie & YG Red. D-Sane would also reconcile with Smoke Dog & Brazy-J, bring them back into the group for a total of 9 artists. They immediately went to work on a follow-up album entitled “Money Motivated,” which was released in March of 2000. Demand for the new album was so great, Sam Goody stores were taking reservations several months prior to it’s release, a first for any Seattle based Hip-Hop group or record label. The single’s “Player’s Policy” and “Lately” received heavy rotation on KUBE 93’s “Future Flavors” show. Phone lines lit up and requests poured in as F.T.S. started their invasion into the world of mainstream music. The massive amounts of radio feedback garnered F.T.S. a spot at the 2000 KUBE 93 Pre-Summer Jam Party where they literally stole the show and left a club full of people screaming for more. “Money Motivated” remains one of the best selling Seattle Hip-Hop albums available in stores to date. F.T.S. went on to dominate cyberspace by taking over MP3.com and securing it’s position at the top of the West Coast charts for 3 years, receiving more than 500,000 downloads and beating out household names such as Snoop Dogg. After selling thousands of units and rockin’ shows all over the NW, the crew disbanded in late 2001 due to internal conflicts between various members of the group, but the classic music that was created lives on many years after it’s release and is among some of the most sought after underground Seattle Hip-Hop ever created!! F.T.S. spawned the solo careers of Byrdie, Smoke of F.T.S. and Greedy BD aka Byron Douglas who have all released projects since their departure from Street Level Records.
