Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Progeland | Progeland is a prog rock band from Finland. It was founded on one man’s vision of a brighter and better world. Beside the vision, this man had the gift of composing music. The music originates and lives through him. The man, Petri “Lemmy” Lindström, went for a journey of exploration to the Land of Prog, with his music. Heading to his destination, he met a wayfarer, Tomi Murtomäki, who had the message and voice with him. Now there was someone to put the touching stories with the music and sing them. Together they continued the journey.

Search | Add | 4 | Etienne Machine | From the guitars’ electricity to the synthesizers’ electronics, Etienne Machine navigate through the genders, at the edge of the art-rock, electronica and trip-hop. (The) Human or (the) machine, a duality evoking 21st century’s spleen and melancholy where feelings and sensations confront electronic sequences and saturated guitars. A confrontation between the instinct and the reason held by the different voices that the group borrows through sensible and incisive texts. Tied up/connected by a strong and sincere friendship, the Lausanne-based Etienne Machine are some Jack-of-all-trades / dabblers: musicians, producers, lyric writers, remixers but also founders of the collective «La Machinerie». This pool of rock and electronic experimentation brings together their close musical world, where each member interferes in the other’s universe. Numerous roles that strengthen the tenacious link that bounds all the humans hidden behind the machines’ coldness.

Search | Add | 4 | David Roof | David Roof | As with many engineers, founder/engineer David Roof's fascination with sound came in high school while discovering music from the Beatles to Wynton Marsalis. The range of sounds coming out in the 1980s as he was growing up was amazing. The Beatles "Recording Sessions" book came out teasing what was possible in the studio. From modest beginnings of bouncing sound back and forth between two cassette decks with a Radio Shack mixer and microphone grew over the last 30+ years to today's ever growing arsenal of ProTools and reel to reel tape. David's background includes classical training at the University of Michigan School of Music. He has been an in demand performer on bass, guitar, and more. Classical training, with thousands of hours sitting literally in the middle of a Symphony Orchestra, ears are trained and attuned to the smallest nuance of musical tone, expression and blend. Great recordings are only possible with a mental image of what great tones should sound like. With decades of performance with groups from symphony orchestras, to pop, jazz and Americana, his insight into making great bands is invaluable to coaching bands, making people comfortable and capturing the emotion of your songs. David's reputation is for an easy going, positive vibe in the studio. Fast setups and editing with techniques for coaxing the best performance with the least frustration are his hallmark. The focus is always on realizing and developing your vision of your songs and sound. Rooftop is known for organic tones, live band recording, a fabulous sounding room, songwriter's production, and vintage or modern sonic approaches. |

Search | Add | 4 | Dee Corby | Dee Corby (b. 1937) Guitarist, DJ, songwriter, engineer, and music publisher that was active in the Southern California, USA area in the 1960's and 1970's. As early as December, 1960, Dee Corby was a DJ on KVEC in San Luis Obispo, California USA in the 1960's. In the same time period, he also headed-up the group Dude Ranch Cowboys. Dee Corby had a Buck-O-Roo custom doubleneck guitar made for him by Don Stanley (from Mosrite parts) around the year 1968. In addition to the novelty of the guitar having two necks and inlaid fredboard featuring "DEE" on the top neck and "CORBY" on the bottom neck), the top neck featured 14 strings (with three strings for the D- and G-string courses). The unusual guitar was made at cost, in exchange for the publicity of Dee playing the unusual guitar in public. The guitar was left in the care of a friend in the 1970's, only to be lost to Dee for many years (along with the frined), until the guitar showed up on an eBay auction to be purchased by artist [a=Deke Dickerson] around 2008.

Search | Add | 4 | Whitefoxx | Hair / Glam Metal (Heavy Metal) band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (USA). Whitefoxx formed in 1982. Last Line-up: Tucker Michaels: Guitar, Back Vocals Rik Anthony: Drums Tipa Sparrs: Vocals Mike Regina: Bass, Back Vocals David Lord: Vocals WHITEFOXX is known as one of the pioneers in the rise of the Philadelphia Metal scene in the mid 80s. Formed originally as PRECIOUS METAL in 1982 as a cover band, the group’s first incarnation comprised of vocalist Tony Harnell, guitarist Barry Bennedetta, keyboard player Mark Soma, bassist Mike Regina and drummer Craig Soma. As the cover scene started to go sour, Harnell quit the band and eventually winded up fronting Norwegian outfit TNT. Bennedetta went on to play briefly in the band WAYSTED with UFO’s Pete Way. In 1984 vocalist / guitarist Mark Chasen joined PRECIOUS METAL and began writing songs with Mike Regina where they traded off lead vocals. They recruited drummer Billy Sipp and in 1985 started playing out as a power trio. As the band gained notoriety in the Philadelphia / South Jersey metal scene, guitarist Jeff LaBar was added to the fold which propelled him into the local spotlight where he was quickly recruited to fill the void left by Michael Kelly Smith with Polygram recording artists, CINDERELLA. emaining good friends with PRECIOUS METAL, LaBar recommended fellow guitarist Jimmy Maropoulos to take his place. Shortly thereafter, drummer Billy Sipp was replaced with new up and coming skin beater, Jimmy “Feek” Ferraioli. Feek was young, had some monster “chops” and he brought his own special brand of humor to the band. Soon PRECIOUS METAL had to change their name when an all-girl band with the same name landed a major label record deal. This is how WHITEFOXX was born. Although Feek helped with the transition from PRECIOUS METAL to WHITEFOXX, he only stayed with the band for about a year before moving on to other projects. He was responsible for creating many of the signature drum parts in the early WHITEFOXX material, some of which remain to this day. In 1986, with a new name and new attitude, WHITEFOXX entered the studio and cut a strong, four song demo with temporary drummer Jim Drnec. This first foray featured the impressive anthem “Beverly Hills” which gained them attention in HIT PARADER magazine in the US as well as KERRANG magazine in the UK. Soon “Metal” shows on local radio stations picked up on this and started playing tracks from the WHITEFOXX demo. Shortly after this, WHITEFOXX found their missing link in drummer Rik Anthony and enjoyed the stability hey had been looking for. With this lineup of Chasen, Regina, Maropoulos & Anthony, the band went on to become one of the strongest contenders in the Philadelphia Metal scene. With catchy songs, a flashy stage show and a growing army of followers, it seemed they were destined for stardom! But, as with any group of talented individuals, it’s not always easy to stay on the same page let alone the same stage. Chasen, Maropoulos & Ferraioli went on to form the band CHASEN with new bassist Donie Bufalo while vocalist Rob Zucchi and guitarist Reggie Wu joined WHITEFOXX. Wu later went on to form the band HEAVENS EDGE. In 1987 WHITEFOXX seemed to stabilize again when WORLD WAR III frontman Tipa Sparrs joined Regina & Anthony along with guitarist / keyboardist Tucker Michaels and guitar wizard Dave Lord was recruited to fill the void left by Reggie Wu. In 1988 WHITEFOXX signed a production deal with Denny Somach Productions. The plan was for Somach to get WHITEFOXX signed to a major label to take the band’s career to the next logical level. The song “Starry Eyes” caught the attention of several labels and some showcases were set up so the record company execs would get a chance to see the band play live. At least one deal was put forth but unfortunately, Somach didn’t feel any of the offers were strong enough to produce a competitive enough product. Eventually, WHITEFOXX disbanded in 1989 when Anthony and Regina, this time as frontman, went on to form the band LIGHT YEARS with guitarist Larry Campanella & bassist Slater Clifton. In 1992 Regina, Anthony & Zucchi went back on the road again as WHITEFOXX with Larry Campanella on guitar. Chasen declined the invitation to join this incarnation due to another project he was already involved in. The plan was to play only a few shows but it lasted for a full year. In 2004 Chasen reformed WHITEFOXX for a series of shows that featured Philadelphia / South Jersey bands from the 80’s. He recruited guitarist Barry Bennedetta , drummer Jim Drnec, and a local bass player to do the show as Regina was involved in other projects. WHITEFOXX came full circle when co-founders Chasen and Regina got back together to appear onstage for the first time in over 20 years for a reunion show in New Jersey in 2012. This lineup also featured former WHITEFOXX guitarist Larry Campanella and drummer Chris Nerone. At one point in the show they were also joined onstage by Reggie Wu to perform “Beverly Hills."

Search | Add | 4 | Reagan Burger | Reagan Burger was born at the end of 2016 in Limoges, French capital city of nothingness. Composed of four young old men who were teenagers in the 80’s, this band is closer to early retirement than to high school diploma. But they just don’t care about it. El Doggo (Bass, Politrouk, Drinking Manager, Graphic Designer), Durf (Guitar, Toolbox Manager, Animal Cause Manager), Ray (Throat, Catering Manager, Camp Activity Leader, Graphic Designer) and Lolo (Drums, First Aider, Music Theory Teacher) did all play in several bands before Reagan Burger but the information is classified until 2072. Reagan Burger dedicates an obsessional worship to the 80’s hardcore punk, thrashcore and crust. Position that can lead to a death sentence in certain countries and to a total incomprehension on behalf of 98 % of the local population... Reagan Burger is not beautiful, Reagan Burger was not designed to look nice, Reagan Burger smells like sweat, Reagan Burger plays as it can, Reagan Burger chuckles foolishly, Reagan Burger speaks his mind, and thinks what it says, Reagan Burger would like you to listen to it before it get lynched!

Quickly they began recording and performing at shows throughout L.A. and Orange County. Finding a fan base that mostly consisted of other graff artists, but due to the never ending varieties in subject matter and political overtones, their appeal spread outside the grafitti realm. In 1997 Kosmic Four recorded their first full length independent release, in which the single "Writers Bench" was featured on D.J. ROB ONE'S "West Coast Indies" mixed tape. Kosmic Four has performed along side COOLIO, FREESTYLE FELLOWSHIP, LIVING LEGENDS, PLANET ASIA, BLACK EYED PEAS, DILATED PEOPLES, LOOT PACK, OMD, J-ZONE, VISIONARIES, MEDUSSA, PSYCHO REALM, BEAT JUNKIES among others. In 1998 Kosmic Four collaborated with YOTA ONE on his debut album EXPERIMENT 31 by the JEDEYES. Soon after this in 1999 they released an E.P entitled LOS ANGRYS, as fate would have it YOTA ONE joined them on this project then in turn joined the group. After a fusion of ideals and their love for a true representation of hip hop they quickly began to work on what would be their 12" single dropped in late 2000 for the album BLUE BIRDZ released in july 2001. Kosmic Four's line up stays strong and steady with FEARO, YOTA ONE, and DOVE ROC. In 2003 They released their fifth installment WRITERS BENCH 2. With the Single "LIFE IZ SICK" released on STRONG HOUSE RECORDS as a B side to their release of an ABSTRACT RUDE's "Got It Like That". Since this time the members have been working on solo projects such as Gallery Shows displaying their artwork and new Music.
