Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 28/01/2025
Found 600568 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Vincenzo Migliaro | Vincenzo Migliaro (1858–1938) was an Italian painter born in Naples. After learning the art of wood carving at courses held by the Società Centrale Operaia Napoletana and working in the studio of Stanislao Lista, Migliaro enrolled in 1875 at the Naples Institute of Fine Arts, where his masters included Domenico Morelli. While a short trip to Paris in 1877 afforded him the opportunity to study the works exhibited in the Louvre, the artist’s main source of inspiration was Naples and its highly animated everyday life. The works he presented in exhibitions at the national and international level – including Turin (1880, 1884, and 1898) and Barcelona (1911), where he won a silver medal – gained him a reputation as a keen observer of Neapolitan life. Involved in the decoration of the Caffè Gambrinus in the following decade together with Vincenzo Irolli and other painters, he took part in the Venice Biennale from 1901 to 1928 and exhibited alongside Vincenzo Caprile and Vincenzo Gemito, both Neapolitans, at the Galleria Pesaro, Milan, in 1927.

He produces mainly Progressive House and Progressive Breaks music. His way of experiencing went through The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Orbital, The Crystal Method. In 2003 he got interested in radio broadcasts called "Tanzpol". At that time he heard mixes by Satoshi Tomiie, James Lavelle, DJ Gogo, Sander Kleinenberg, Paul Oakenfold , Saeed & Palash etc. In 2005, at the age of 16, he played his first Dj set at a friend's party and a year later he tried to write his own music. Search | Add | 4 | Coal Field Hotel | Beginning in 2010 under alias System III, Coal Field Hotel began releasing official materiel in 2013 with an album titled "City Zero". Coal Field Hotel ranges their music from Downtempo, Ambient, experimental. Musically influenced by dated instruments and synthesizers, Coal Field Hotel has achieved a swirling mix of music around faint ambient textures and a sound that comes off as out of tune but fitted in place. 3 unknown members judging from photos and album artwork, there seems to be at least 3 as of 2015 claiming to be from Chicago Illinois, USA. All though at one point their online store listed their location from India.

Search | Add | 4 | The New Kinetics | Garage rock band from San Diego, California, formed in October 2010 by singer Birdy Bardot (real name Emily Reilly) and her husband, guitarist/keyboardist Brian Reilly, with drummer Jon Bonser and bassist Leslie Schultze. They self-released their debut EP Rock & Roll Has Got To Go that November, then signed to Aural Gravy Records for their first full-length album, Contact, released on CD and digital in September 2011. They wanted to release their next album on vinyl, but Aural Gravy was unwilling to pay for the expense, so the band ran a Kickstarter campaign and raised $5,000 to record in San Francisco with producer [a=John Vanderslice] and release the LP themselves. In Stereo was released in December 2012 on the band's own imprint, Anobel Records. Schultze departed the band in April 2013 to focus on her new project, [a=Flaggs], and was replaced by Josh Kmak. TNK broke up that June due to the Reillys' plans to move back to the East Coast, but plans changed and the band regrouped in early 2014 and recorded an EP, Red, which went unreleased. They announced their impending breakup in October 2016, and played their farewell show two months later on New Years Eve. The Red EP was released to streaming services in June of 2021.

Search | Add | 4 | D. Lorean | 30 April 1984. The birth of D. Lorean. A humanoid child was found amongst the embers of classic Motown, the spirit of the electro-pop era and the prospect of the fall of the Iron Curtain. Their first message beamed to the future was the single Hardwired, a dark, sleazy missive of italo-disco-infused pop, formed with their kindred musical spirit Damocles. D. Lorean went on to perform with soul goddess Jocelyn Brown and UK synth heroes Hurts, and followed in the latter's footsteps by picking up regular international airplay in the Benelux and Eastern Europe before making it in their home territory. D. Lorean will be crash landing at the I Venti D'Azzurro Italo Disco party in Milan, Italy on 7 May 2016.

Search | Add | 4 | Hechos Raros | They formed in the early nineties in the city of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, Mexico. The group was formed by members of the rock bands: "Hamlet y Los Encantadores Hombres de Nuestro Santo Patrono" both originally from the port city. The first original line-up was composed by: Winny Quintanilla, Juan Carlos Inzunza, Sergio Avila, Jaime Coppel, Juancho Benitez and Guillermo Hernández. This line-up later recorded the cassette titled "Historias de la Ciudad" in Guadalajara, Jalisco. After promoting the aforementioned title, they made presentations nationwide where they were required to record their second material in Mexico City, which never went on sale for the reasons of the first label. In 1995 they move to Los Angeles, California. In that city, they are discovered by the Argentine producer Horacio Lanzi and his company "Hola Rock and Pop", who produces the material entitled "Hechos Raros" from which the singles "Toque de Queda" and "El Sinaloense" are released, That material was recorded in the "Hot Tin Roof" studios in North Hollywood in 1996. Two videos were filmed and the material was finally distributed by the record company Fonovisa. Search | Add | 4 | George Soler | Pacific Northwest-based musician and composer George Soler has long been admired as a sound artist, producer, and distinguished player of the Chapman Stick. Though internationally he is perhaps best known for his creative work with Taiwan folk legend Chen Ming-chang (陳明章) and Asia superstar Chyi Chin (齊秦), it is within bands such as the Taipei 90s underground Jazz Cowboys and Seattle looping improvisers Radio Chongqing that his distinct sonic signature and textural composing shine. He's collaborated closely with producers Te-chang Hsu (徐德昌) and Randall Dunn, guitarists Bill Horist and Dennis Rea, trumpet innovator Lesli Dalaba, as well as English film composer Simon Whitfield. His latest band's debut LP, Breathe Blow Burn, with Bill Horist and singer Yu-wei Hsieh (謝宇威) is scheduled for release in February 2019 on Super Invincible Records.

He took an interest in the guitar & keyboard and during this 6 year period was involved in various bands. Until high school he was interested in rock & derivatives and started recording for his own bands in his home studio. He started taking music classes to improve his formal music knowledge. Meanwhile he carried on with his home recordings. Around the turn of the millenium, he started to sway from rock towards electronic sounds. For the next two years he took his first steps involving electronic music and DJ'ing. All the while he kept making his own productions and improving them. In 2004 he got his education in sound engineering and broadened the scope of his work. He began to DJ and produce at events together with major names in Turkey. |

Search | Add | 4 | Taming The Outback | Taming The Outback were a three-piece from Southend-on-Sea (Essex, UK) and were ... * Daryl Amos >> Drums * Tony Sampson >> Guitar & Vocals * Jason Sherwin >> Bass (died in 2011) The band were active from 1986 to 1989. While they spent most of their time playing outside of the town itself, they were very much a Southend band and established a large and loyal following all across the UK. The original three members formed after criss-crossing each other’s musical paths in South East Essex in the early 1980s. Melbourne-born drummer Daryl Amos and bass player Jason Sherwin first played together in local band A Wreath For Brezhnev, later meeting-up with guitarist/singer Tony Sampson, who was then playing in the band Playground, to form Taming The Outback – a band characterized by an aggressive, driven, rhythm section, strong self-penned songs with a rich, echo-saturated wall-of-sound guitar. Taming The Outback soon began recording at Elephant Studios in East London, where they recorded their debut single Blue Heart / Fire & Smoke – now a minor rarity due to limited distribution and a tiny pressing of 500 copies. However, their public profile rapidly changed when the band attracted local and national press attention with their infamous “crucifixion” publicity shoot – taken (without permission) on Salvation Army land. At the time it was claimed to be in protest over “religious hypocrisy” and “obscenity of ownership of vast tracts of land in the hands of the churches.” It was, of course, pure coincidence that the band were also preparing for a second single: Eight-Hour King / Crack In Your Brain. The image found itself splashed over the local newspaper, The Evening Echo, accompanied by headlines screaming “Blasphemous!”, “Sick!” and a multitude of complaints by local Christian groups. Soon after, national UK tabloids picked up on the story. Whether or not it was a cheap publicity stunt, atheistic protest or a work of art is still a subject of debate among those who remember it. Nevertheless, the punk and post-punk generation always regarded religious, political and other national institutions as legitimate targets for comment. Playing live became a primary focus for the band but the endless gigging, drinking and the failure to release the aforementioned second single and the LP (already recorded) probably marked the beginning of the end of the band. Taming The Outback itself played their last gigs in 1989 with the aggression being turned inwards between personnel and instruments.
