Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026
Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 6 | Omar Higgins | Omar Higgins, a native of Brooklyn, NY is essentially a Memphis, TN staple now. He has worked with a variety of bands throughout the genre spectrums. Influenced by bands like Oxblood, Gorilla Biscuits , Anti-Heroes and Neglect, he decided it was time to form a Hardcore Punk / Oi! band. Not only that, he also wanted to promote unity and awareness about the crimes in the Punk scene, everything from domestic abuse to the obvious racism displayed by those claiming to be "patriots". A born leader, he is the brains behind the music of Negro Terror. Born 26 April, 1981 Died 18 April, 2019 | |

| Search | Add | 6 | José Moriche | José Fernández De Alba | José Moriche was a Spanish singer born on August 31, 1890 in Burguillos del Cerro (Badajoz), Spain. José Moriche made his debut at the Teatro Real in Madrid in 1918, obtaining a resounding success with “El Barbero de Sevilla”. José Rabanal Santander affirms that Moriche lived in Barcelona, from where we suppose he would travel to his hometown and Badajoz. He soon formed an opera company and embarked for Cuba where apparently things should not have gone very well. It is at that moment when he decides to sing alone or in a duet, obtaining a resounding success that forces him to travel throughout the southern cone, recording for the best record companies. He performed in Mexico and Cuba, and then in New York where he is called upon to record popular songs. In 1923 he began recordings in the company of the Colombian Víctor Justiniano Rosales, for the Gennett label, then he made duets from 1925 with Antonio Utrera, Margarita Cueto, Arturo Patiño, Juan Pulido, Rodolfo Hoyos, Pilar Arcos, and Laura Magaña among others. Moriche recorded on labels such as Victor, Brunswick and Columbia. One of the most famous duos was the one formed with Guty Cárdenas. In the last years of his life, Moriche set up a restaurant on Long Island, and there he used to perform romances, operatic arias, and heartfelt folk songs while serving the clientele. Moriche's fame was so great that he was selected to accompany Carlos Gardel in the movie “El Tango en Broadway” as an actor, with a prominent role. José Moriche became a kind of myth. All attempts to know how the days of that tenor ended have been useless. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Bill Retoff | The first serious musical venture came as a member of the Insomniacs (which eventually morphed into the ensemble Retoff, McKenzie, Butler & Pierce) in the early '90s. Retoff formed his own label, Maize Records, specifically for the band, and between 1992 and 1994, they released two acclaimed (in underground pop circles) full-length cassettes and numerous singles. The band gradually disintegrated due in large part to the miles of travel between them. At about the exact moment of disintegration, Retoff was struck down by spinal meningitis and diagnosed with intestinal cancer. It nearly ended his life, but he ultimately recovered from the ordeal and eventually settled back into recording as a solo artist. He released his debut solo album, Pop Jewelry, in 1996, along with a legion of 45s and made appearances on numerous compilations. He played with the band Eternal Groove, who released a single in 1997, and produced the sole effort by Billy Blastoff, the band that Dan McKenzie, Dave Butler, and Ed Pierce formed following Retoff, McKenzie, Butler & Pierce. Two of his songs were also covered by the semi-legendary '60s combo the E-Types on their 1998 reunion album Chase the Moon. Retoff's dedicated cult following continued to steadily grow, and a second solo album, Reanimation, appeared in 2000. That summer also saw him reconvene with McKenzie, Butler, and Pierce to begin recording all new material. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | Christine Jane | On a flickering old TV set many moons ago, a small girl sat in her living room in suburbia, mesmerised by the closing scenes of a short film made by her father. As the camera panned out and the credits rolled she heard what would become a familiar and beloved sound: the ringing out of those iconic chords we know as ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’ by Crowded House. The film, the song, and the enthralling story of how her father obtained the rights to use it began a love affair with music, the screen and the mystery of songwriting. Christine Jane’s eclectic tastes and world wide travels lead her to find her sound: ‘cinematic blues’. She has been compared to artists who share her love of storytelling, darkness and the enigma of song such as Nick Cave, K.D. Lang, Beck, Feist, Fiona Apple, Tom Waits, and Neil Finn. She is haunted by the voices of yesteryear that move her soul- Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley and Dusty Springfield. Her songs are deeply personal and reflect on loss, love, listlessness, and the shadows of despair. Each can be a world unto itself, collaging sound, mood and substance depending on the character she inhabits. Christine Jane cut her teeth collaborating and performing across her beloved home town Sydney with artists such as Jack Moffitt (The Preatures), Peter Fenton (CROW, The Tall Grass), The Johnnys, The Apartments, Steve Clisby, Queen Porter Stomp and more. She has toured roads unknown across this Great Southern Land with Claire Anne Taylor, Allensworth, Aine Tyrell, Elephant Sessions, The Tall Grass, The Apartments, Broke House and CJ Stranger to name a few. Her debut EP SINNERS COME & GO was released in 2012 and is filled with dark poetry and eclectic sounds. Her follow up single MAKE BELIEVE sends you to a smoky Spanish dive bar with its raw sensuality. Released in 2013, it’s available for free at Bandcamp. In 2014 Christine ran a successful crowdfunding campaign to record her first full length record. Produced by Josh Schuberth (Josh Pyke, Lenka, Shane Nicholson), H E A D M I L E S was released in 2015 to glowing reviews and national airplay on ABC radio and community radio around the country. “Christine Jane not only has a voice that stops you in your tracks, but she is a great songwriter as well. Headmiles was one of my favourite local releases last year and I look forward to her future efforts. Definitely one to watch.” – Paul Gough, host of ‘The Inside Sleeve’ on ABC Radio National, creator and presenter of Playback and Chimes on the national community radio network The lead single from H E A D M I L E S ‘In This Night’ spent four weeks in the national top ten of the AMRAP Community Radio charts ascending to #3, cementing Christine Jane as a formidable talent in the alternative Aussie music landscape. She is currently self-producing her third record SONGS FOR BLEEDING HEARTS and runs monthly live music night ‘For Folk Sake’ on a charming rooftop in Redfern. | |

| Search | Add | 6 | The Rockit King | The Rockit King. A band apart. Whatever preconceptions you have about Rock 'N' Roll music, forget them and believe instead in Truth Will Set You Free, the latest offering from this lean, mean group of Michiganders. Truth Will Set You Free, the band's third studio album, takes the listener on a journey with twists and turns varying wide from Blues to Country with plenty of straight ahead Rock. "It covers a lot of ground musically” states drummer Kenny Roberts. "We made the album in batches and in different locations in an effort to really mix things up." "We began with the intention of this album being the best thing we've ever done" explains bassist Dan Cox, "It had to be." The album took shape over multiple writing and recording sessions all taking place over several years. "We played gigs throughout the writing and much of the recording process" says frontman Jessie Beveridge, "The approach took a bit longer than expected but we think the material and the performances speak for themselves." Lyrically the album seems loosely themed around getting unstuck from a rut, a subject close to Beveridge's heart. "Hard times lead to real words, sometimes heavy, sometimes really uplifting, but always close to home." The Rockit King also appear to be keen studies of all things blues with tracks like the eponymous 'The Truth Will Set You Free'. "You don't have a Rockit King album without the blues," says Beveridge "and don't forget the shuffle. It's part of our DNA." "A lot of thought went into sounds and drum parts, especially the kick drum." said Roberts. "We saw that as the foundation of the whole thing.” adds Beveridge "Down and dirty, four on the floor Rock 'N' Roll." Thirteen years in and with the release of Truth Will Set You Free, The Rockit King seem to be finding their stride...in spades..... | |

| Search | Add | 6 | 30OT6 | Band from Columbus, Ohio Members: Derrick Zajac - Guitar Brent Billet - Vocals Sean Miller - Bass Tim Dillard - Drums Bio: Based in Columbus, Ohio Thirty Ought Six is an innovative, hard-hitting, groove oriented rock band with high focus on melodies. Their well written songs come together naturally, as if they were writing themselves. This is a true statement to the chemistry between the 4 members, who have come together with like minds to create great music, and share it with the masses. Their defiance against musical genres has actually become the band's style, blending pure rock aggression with texture and sound-scapes of sonic melody. Thankful that the four were brought together, they all shared the same feeling that it was somehow meant to be for a reason. They quickly became close friends, each feeling as though they had grown up together. Their musical chemistry and each other bringing different influences and approaches, seems to blend in a way that makes their song writing and music an irresistible experience to behold. The four did not waste any time as they brought Tim up to speed on some previously existing ideas, adding his unique style completed the material. After a few months, they had written an arsenal of commercially viable yet hard hitting new songs. Setting goals are priority for the band, as they started with the behind the scenes work; copyrighting, promo packs, website, and finding the resources to record and release their first EP, during which they also found time to book and play shows on a regular basis. Their hard work had finally paid off, as they entered the John Schwab Recording studio in Columbus, with engineer Joe "Neo" Viers to record their 7 song EP, self titled: "Thirty Ought Six". Here starts the next chapter for the four, where they have to work hard for that once in a lifetime opportunity. They are focused to keep steady the determination to bring their high energy sonic message to the masses, that are unaware that their favorite CD will have Thirty Ought Six written all over it. | |

Of West Indian descent, Mello K was brought up a native of New York, and first emerged as a serious artist in 1990. It was then that he was given the opportunity to work with Keith Sweat and Charlie Wilson from the Gap Band, subsequently forming his own posse, 40 Deep, hooking up with producer Monti Blues and reggae DJ Shawnie Ranks. Through Ranks Mello K debuted on his L.A. Boy Records. He also guested on the single ‘Do Me’, a slow-burning narrative reminiscent of lovers rock. It was this sort of material that gave Mello K his name, but his debut album proved him equally capable of gruff, hard-nosed raps. |

| Search | Add | 6 | Rodney O'Quinn | He is best known as the bassist for Foghat. At 5 years old, grabbing mom’s vacuum cleaner like a mic stand singing “Hound Dog” by Elvis, Rodney O’Quinn was smitten and bitten by the music bug at an early age. By the time he was 11, a request from a friend simply saying “We need a Bass Player. You should get one!” would lead him to the first of many stages he would perform on. Straight out of High School, Rodney attained his higher education in Rock & Roll playing full time from 1984-1996 with various notable Bands out of the South East U.S. This included a 5-year stint with one of the South East’s top touring/grossing bands, ELI which generated 2 well received albums. Averaging 240 shows a year left Rodney feeling burned out and ready for a change. He was leaving life on the road behind (or so he thought). In 2007 (Rodney describes it as an “itch that needed to be scratched”) music beckoned once again and he was compelled to answer. Rodney joined Pat Travers Band for what he thought would be a year or two on the road. Over the next eight and half years with the Pat Travers Band, Rodney played over 500 shows across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, U.K., Europe and Sweden and recorded 2 studio CD’s and 2 Live CD/DVD’s with the band. They also performed Live on the syndicated show RockLine Radio 3 times as well as a concert, “Live from Moondance Jam” which aired over 100 times on Direct TV. More than just a beast on the bass and a pretty face, Rodney used his business savvy background to handle many facets of the PTB organization. In 2010, he co-produced a run of shows that featured Pat Travers, Derek St Holmes, Mark Farner and Ronnie Montrose called Guitar Gods of the 70’s. Along with other members of Pat’s band, Rodney would play bass behind all of these Artists. During these extensive tours, as fate would have it, Rodney crossed paths many times with his friend and fellow bass player, Craig MacGregor of Foghat. After watching Rodney play, Craig Macgregor admired Rodney’s talent and when the time was right, was called upon in 2015 to fill in for “Mac” and has since become a permanent part of the Foghat Family. Two years, 2 Foghat CD releases and 140+ shows (and counting) Rodney is honored to be able to add his touch to this piece of Foghat history. | |
