Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Native of the Landes (Aquitaine, south of Bordeaux), he was a friend of and sang the songs of the most important Occitan Gascon poet, Bernard Manciet. He toured with French singing artists like Claude Nougaro, Bernard Lavilliers, Félix Leclerc and many others. From the beginning of his career, Delbeau was considered one of the most talented and original composers and performers of the Occitan new wave ("Nòva Cançon") with Claude Marti, Mans de Breish, Joan Pau Verdier and Patric. He also played the role of a "troubadour" in a oneshot French TV épisode in 1973 "Le Seigneur de Bonaguil" which was set in the 15th century and in a place that many specialists consider the most beautiful fortified castle in France (Bonaguil). He didn't actually stop his artistic career(performing on stage from time to time) but instead, become a high school principal at Arcachon near Bordeaux until 2011 when he retired from teaching. He is currently living in the Medoc, writing and traveling (his others passions). |

The results yield dynamic instrumentation where creativity and emotion are paramount in the composition of each song. Aiming to construct an architectural sonic space, the five collaborate on storytelling and presentation. Having released 3 full lengths and 2 eps, the band has grown, mutated, amputated, and grown some more with each recording. After almost 2 years of writing and recording, The Phantom Broadcast released Antiquities 11/1/19. The record’s themes explored on the double EP, now a full length, deal with the challenges of maintaining good mental health, the anxiety coupled with living and thriving in a large city like Chicago, and hardships of the mundane. Thanks to an incredible amount of support via Kickstarter, the record was pressed to vinyl and is available in all online streaming platforms, at shows, and in record stores throughout Chicago.

Search | Add | 6 | Robert H. McAnally | Australian band conductor and composer (1882-1959). Robert H. McAnally was undoubtedly the most prolific Australian composer/arranger of music for bands, particularly brass bands. His early musical career began with the Salvation Army, and he later became conductor of the New South Wales Tramways Band. He was one of the founders of the now defunct New South Wales Bandmasters’ Association based in Sydney. He wrote many difficult marches, including Implacable, Indomitable, The Spitfire, arranged Waltzing Matilda as a march and composed a programmatic march for the opening of the Sydney Harbour Bridge in 1932 entitled Triumph of Industry. On a visit to London he was honoured to see the Massed Guards Band march down The Mall playing his march The Spitfire, which was inspired by the Spitfire pilots of the Second World War. When the ABC established its National Military Band in 1934 it was McAnally who auditioned the players from all over Australia and brought the band together for the arrival of Colonel H.E. Adkins – director of the famous Kneller Hall Military School of Music in England. McAnally spent most of his life in Sydney and died in Albury.

Chorus songs are one of Derek's specialities and the album has some great chorus singing. Apart from his love of folk song Derek is also a keen conservationist and many of the songs on this album reflect these interests giving it a strong 'green' theme.

Ntropy are a Bristol-based duo formed by Carlo Angelucci and Thomas Brun who met in Bristol and decided to start this collaboration project in 2013. Ntropy's main purpose is to explore the darker side of drum and bass and, in order to let the audience familiarise themselves with their sound, the duo launched a series of events in different venues around Bristol (Queen's Head and Cosies) called "Bass Office". Their debut EP, "Trazodrone", was released on Modulate Recordings in 2015. In 2017 the duo played for several events around Europe spanning from Bristol's very own Noise Test nights at Blue Mountain to the stunning landscapes of La Cinta beach at Sun and Bass in Sardinia (Italy). After months locked in the studio working on many tracks, in 2018 the duo releases on Singularity Audio an EP first, "Unbroken", and just a few months later their debut LP, "Goram", which included "Get Dem Wise", a track written with the talented Italian producer Bayou. In 2019 Danger Chamber Digital released two different Ntropy's EPs: “Mydriasis” and "Antabuse", the latter a collaboration EP with Berlin-based amen butcher a.k.a. No_name. 2020 will see Ntropy launching their very own label, Disorder Media, with their first self-released single "Zenith/Nine Times", forthcoming on Bandcamp. |

Search | Add | 6 | Art Telepaths | George Scarlatos was the bass player and –mainly– the composer of nearly every song by Magic De Spell during the ’80s. During the summer of 2011, when listening to an old cassette of Magic De Spell supporting “The Fall” at their 1982 concert in Sporting stadium, searching for the track “Crime” for Geheimnis Records’ 2nd release (Magic De Spell – Nightmare / 30th anniversary edition), he found 4 songs on the back side, rough recordings with an acoustic guitar. One of them was “Chains Of Love”, which was later included on “Kiss The Mirror” LP. The rest (Drag You Down, Lies, Tue Ma Cervelle) remained forgotten in a drawer. These 3 songs along with one more (not recorded, but always kept alive on George’s mind, titled “Heaven Up There”) were dropped, because they were written during a difficult period for Magic De Spell, their transition from punk to dark electronic/new wave sound. Two of these were composed in March 1982, when the old era was fading away, the other two after two months. But, for different reasons other songs were selected, during the preparation of Magic De Spell’s first full length album “A Body In A Snare”. During the summer and autumn of 2012, George Scarlatos materializing the Art Telepaths project, accomplished a great endeavor: he managed to gather some friends and colleagues from the 80’s new wave era to record these 4 songs, people who worked with Magic De Spell at the band's first steps and others who had shared the same rehearsal studios, dreams and hopes at the time. Thanasis Scarlatos (Magic De Spell / keyboards, synths) and Theodore Vlahakis (Magic De Spell / drums), Yannis Drenoyannis (Magic De Spell, Anti-Troppau Council, Yeah! / guitars), Pan Thistle (Takis) (Partenogenesis, Forward Music Quintet / vocals) and Vassilis Salapatas (Not 2 Without 3 / vocals) and, last but not least, Costas Mastoris (Metro Decay / synths). The sound engineer was the most experienced one with the sound of the '80s, Chris ‘Snake’ Manolitsis.
