Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

In addition to performing her own music, Liz has premiered new works by emerging composers, and has contributed her sound to recordings by Monica Lionheart, Microkingdom, and others. Liz’s performance record is fittingly diverse. She frequently performs at rock clubs, D.I.Y. spaces, art galleries, chamber music venues, music festivals, and academic conferences throughout the United States. Career highlights include performances at Signal Flow Festival, Mills College; High Zero Festival (Baltimore, MD); several performances at the Baltimore Museum of Art; The Walters Art Museum (Baltimore, MD); and The Stone (New York City, NY). Liz holds a Masters of Arts Degree in Music Composition from Mills College (Oakland, CA). She has studied music composition with Fred Frith and viola performance with Hank Dutt of Kronos Quartet. Liz is currently based in Baltimore, Maryland.

Search | Add | 4 | Algy Lord Gray | Alan Gray | In the early seventies Algy and pals decided to musically "get it together in the country" and went to Wales where they stumbled upon the gorgeous abandoned mansion Plas Llecha. They moved in and began recording, living in primitive but beautiful surroundings - and remained in Wales forever. Bertie was hand made each with unique covers, and a copy was sent to a baffled John Peel who wrote back to the band and later gave them a live Peel Session slot. Bertie is a specific form of naturally eccentric brilliance, drawing on an anarchic british tradition that encompasses James Joyce, The Goons, Hawkwind and Monty Python. Undercurrents of genius later transformed into actual genius with their next band The Great Crash. From 1971 - 1974 they developed a beautiful melodic Art Rock and recorded 30 tracks in the mansion, Piano led and sometimes reminiscent of Elton Johns best early compositions, with a dash of 10cc, and a Deja Vu vibe. The insular circumstances of their lifestyle and spacious digs seem to have allowed their musical spirits to flourish. An exec at Parlophone got wind of their music and signed them up, but, as with their Peel session, they just couldnt work in the sterile studio conditions, and the sessions ended in disaster as the band fled back to their beloved Welsh Idyll. Unbeknownst to themselves and the world at large, the Great Crash sessions from Plas Llecha, are pure gold dust, and represent rhe great Lost Classic of British Rock. A missing piece in the tapestry of British music. Their 1972-1973 unissued double LP ' Deadfire Echoes' is scheduled for a Jan 2022 release on Seelie Court. Plas Llecha became an internationally famous Recording Studio where Oasis and The Verve recorded their major albums, |

Search | Add | 4 | Ulrich Ristau | Ulrich Ristau, born in 1948, studied the Oboe in Dortmund and Cologne and after that for 6 years headed a music school. During this time he took extra-occupational harmonica lessons from Helmuth Herold in the harmonica world capital Trossingen (Germany) and developed a concept for an elementary music education, based on the harmonica and Orff instruments. He has been teaching this method at the music school Hannover since 1980. From his work at the music school developed the Carl-Orff-Ensemble, which uses Orff Schulwerk instruments (chromatic glockenspiels, xylophones, metallophones, chime bars, from soprano to bass) and additionally chromatic harmonicas, recorders and other instruments, if ensemble members play any (e.g. violin, saxophone, drum set). From the beginning there was a close relationship to SONOR, because Ulrich Ristau received the crucial impulse for his work in 1982 during a workshop of IGMF (International Society for music pedagogical training), which had been founded by SONOR. Concert tours followed, the furthest led the ensemble to Korea, as well as CD and video recordings. It was a special honor when in 1995 Lieselotte Orff, the famous composers widow and a supporter of the Orff Schulwerk approach, allowed the group to carry the name "Carl-Orff-Ensemble", which was bound to Ulrich Ristau being the conductor.

Search | Add | 4 | TRANCITIV | TRANCITIV was founded in 1995 by Mike (vocals & keyboards) and Uschi (vocals & guitar) with the aim to combine Viennese dialect and Viennese attitude to life with groovy reggae vibes. The band released their first album "Es is Zeit" in 2009. This was followed by "TRANCITIV" (2012) and "Roots" (2014). The name TRANCITIV is meant to indicate both a potential achievement of a trance-like state through music and the fundamentally positive vibes the band spreads through their music. The profound and partly socially critical lyrics, which are written by Mike, let the need for more "togetherness" in love and respect be felt. Trancitive music should give people hope, but at the same time give them joy and above all motivate them to dance!

Search | Add | 4 | The Evolution of the Arm | The Evolution of the Arm channels imaginary chamber music from an alternate universe. A quartet of improvisers drawing on collective experience in classical, jazz, experimental, noise, and theater music, they’ve developed their telepathic connection across genre, time, and space. The group first convened in November 2017 in Buffalo, NY under the creative auspices of Western New York expatriate Michael McNeill (keyboards, composition). Having worked together in various combinations in Wooden Cities, Buffalo Bach Project, and Parvenue, Mike called upon Megan Kyle (oboe, English horn), Evan Courtin (violin, voice), and Katie Weissman (cello, electronics) to join him in this new endeavor. Very quickly, the group decided to focus solely on their own compositions. Since 2017, the Evolution of the Arm has performed at various venues in Buffalo and McNeill’s new home state of Virginia. Throughout this time, the group’s repertoire has come to include the original semi-composed/semi-improvised suite Jackrabbit’s Palace by McNeill, Courtin’s trio pawns for oboe, cello and voice (featuring poetry by Marina Blitshteyn) and pieces of Kyle’s ongoing text-score project, the Invisible Series. Weissman frequently rounds out programs with cello and electronics improvisations. In the summer of 2019 the group recorded their debut album Sounds Like with engineer Chris Jacobs at the University at Buffalo. Their individual and collective musical explorations continue to evolve.

Search | Add | 4 | Alfonso Caballeros | Alfonso Caballeros | Alfonso José Caballeros Solares, a DJ and music producer who has collaborated with Lazy Soul, Schalldeluxe, Aereotek, Creptonite, Egothermia, Black Drop and Fierce Animal records. His interest in electronic music genre began when he was thrilled by the electronic sounds and synthesized melodies of L'Amour Toujurs album. His firsts approaches with the local scene were given through national radio shows and in parties from the music collective Musica 502. As an artist he makes progressive house, techno, ambient, chillout and lounge genres. His firsts music influences were Stephane K, Superchumbo, Sergio Argueta, Azzido da Bass, Trancesetters, and Lee Burridge among others. Nowadays some of his favorite artists are Jay Lumen, Bas Albers, Ramiro Puente, Agent Orange, DJ Dextro, Rolando Hodar, Kostas Maskalides, Chicago Loop, Phutek, and Chris Craig. He has been on stage with Carlos Valdez, Guillermo Porras, Token Selekta, Gabriel Cazali, Dub Selector, Junglist Selektor, Badi Yalid, Rod V, Mr. Warpaint, Lainfiesta, Diego Pleitez, and Alejandro Rivera. For Alfonso "the local scene has had an important output since 2009. Several genres have become public and the lists of DJs and producers have become longer. Among them there are artists who have signed in various important foreign labels and the have known how to stay Guatemala afloat in the global scene. More support from promoters is needed in order to give a chance to the new artists who get into the scene; keeping a filter so the quality that's handled doesn't decrease. As a negative side there are more opportunities to close friendships, so this doesn't allow talented people to get known in the field. Guatemala has won a good position as one of the most prolific and important scenes in the Central American region." Alfonso recommends us the following local artists: Gabriel Cazali, Mncve, Alejandro Rivera, Wuillermo Tuff, Rod V, Lujo Prado, and Token Selekta. |
