Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 4 | Büchner-Kapelle | German music band founded and directed by [a10529086]. For the orchestra, please use: [a3604659] All information is from the following site (maybe someone can revise my translation errors): https://grammophon-platten.de/page.php?422 "Max Büchner was a trained music teacher and one of the pioneers of gramophone and cylinder recordings. He was one of the most frequently recorded orchestras in the imperial era. He was one of the first to understand how to arrange recordings so that the final product sounded good. Büchner was probably born in Berlin in 1862. His father ran a cloakroom and costume rental shop in town in the 1880s. The son Max Büchner was first listed in the Berlin address book in 1887 - profession: music teacher. It can be assumed that in addition to this activity, he has already directed an orchestra. Unfortunately, the old newspapers from the 19th century rarely mention the name (s) of the Kapellmeister at events. Little is known about Max Büchner's actual professional career. 1901, Büchner then traded as Kapellmeister. Resident at Fürbringerstr. 28. In the meantime, Büchner has bought the parental home. Presumably the mother continues to hire masks and cloakrooms. According to the obituary, Max Büchner made his first (cylinder) recordings in 1898. This was followed by many recordings for the Edison company in Berlin. The musician (including straw violin and glockenspiel) and conductor operated here as the Edison Symphony Orchestra or the Berlin Symphony Orchestra. Some of the recordings on roller were also released in the USA. The first record companies quickly became aware of this "funnel - suitable" orchestra. Many recordings were probably made without naming their names. The "Büchner Orchestra" could also be hiding behind the collective term "orchestra" on recordings from the turn of the century. With increasing popularity, the name Büchner-Orchester, Berlin appears more and more on the labels. The recordings that were made under the direction of Max Büchner must be in the hundreds - possibly even more. The obituary suggests - Max Büchner spent a lot of time in the recording rooms for a wide variety of companies. The well-rehearsed repertoire covered almost the whole range of required music. From light classical music to marches and folk pieces, to antics and cakewalk, there was hardly a musical genre that the Büchner orchestra did not take up. For the busy musician and quasi-king of the Berlin record studios, this secured a good livelihood with a high probability. Perhaps, however, he "took over" himself with all the jobs from the speaking machine industry; Max Büchner died in 1906 at the age of just 44 from complications from a cold." | |

| Search | Add | 4 | High Red | High Red | Norwegian/American band based in Oslo, Norway Every once in a long while things just seem to come together naturally, as if they had been aligned in the stars, or perhaps by destiny. Such is the story of the creation of High Red. Hailing from the heartlands of both the United States and Norway, the combined members of the High Red are on a mission to spread their musical message to audiences the world over. With nothing short of awe-inspiring live performances, High Red will embark on a musical journey right in front of your eyes and ears. And all you have to do is witness. With countless appearances sharing the stage with world-class touring acts (Robben Ford, Michael Landau, Kirk Fletcher, etc) in Scandinavia, Europe, and the USA, it was only a matter of time before Jon, Per, Iver, and Adam were to embark on their own musical endeavor - as High Red. Drawing inspiration from heavy study and upbringing in gospel-infused soul music and playing the blues everywhere from Los Angeles to Stockholm, these boys create a genre-splitting version of urban sleek and rural grit. With Adam Douglas' vocal prowess and avant-garde guitar playing, Per Øystein Erstad's command of the bass, Jon Reidar Furulund's relentless groove behind the drum kit, Iver Olav Erstad's mastery of the Hammond Organ, Clavinet, Rhodes, and piano - High Red has a message for you… Are you ready to listen? Musicians: Adam Douglas, Iver Olav Erstad, Per Øystein Erstad, Markus Lillehaug Johnsen and Jon Reidar Furulund |

He co-founded "Aswini Pictures" with Akkineni Nageswara Rao and produced some movies in Telugu and Tamil. Later, he produced several blockbuster Telugu movies under his own production house, Anjali Pictures, named after his actress wife, Anjali Devi. He also composed and produced music for several Tamil and Hindi movies. According to the music critic V. A. K. It is this music that survives him enthralling all the music lovers". Memorable music compositions from Rao are: "Rajasekhara Neepai Moju Theera Leduraa" in the movie Anarkali released in 1955, "Piluvakuraa Alugakuraa" in the movie Suvarna Sundari released in 1957, "Telugu Veera Levaraa Deeksha Booni Sagara" and "Vastaadu Naraju" in the movie Alluri Seetarama Raju released in 1974 and all songs including "Ghana Ghana Sundara" in Bhakta Tukaram, released in 1973. | Search | Add | 4 | John Koviak | Emerging from the Southern California alternative music scene in the late 1980's, John started out as a guitarist/bassist before unfulfilling band experiences (with London After Midnight, for instance) eventually prompted him to try and create music on his own. John's first solo project Sub Version was born. Taking on the tasks of songwriting, lyrics/vocals, instruments, programming, and production entirely on his own John successfully completed three releases: Metamorphosis (1992), Damaged Gods (1994), and The Winds of War (1997). In the summer of 1996 John accompanied Faith and the Muse at the Zillo Festival as guitarist. Upon his return from Europe he rejoined the band for the U.S. "Apparition" tour. After the Winds of War, John took a break in order to realize some new ideas that were emerging that seemed to be a departure from Sub Version. The Heaven EP in 2002 (as John Koviak) was the official beginning of this new chapter and the Imagination EP (as Koviak) followed soon after in 2003. John has most recently been seen active as a live guitarist and violinist for Faith & the Muse. He accompanied them on their European 2003 “Burning Season” tour, performed with them at Mera Luna 2004, on the 2004 United States tour and lastly in Santiago, Chile.

I ́ve got intressed in electronic music at a age of 14 when I tried to find new metal band's, I searched for 666 thinking it was a metal band , but it wasn't it where techno... and to my surpise I loved it. I was the only one in my friend group listening to electronic music and started soon to play along with my electric guitar to electronic music. My father bought me a midi synth in 2002 so it was then I started creating electronic music, and I was fiddling around with my synth creating wierd sounds and beats. I have always been creative and doing wierd things, not only music but I also paint, draw, building things and spinning poi's.I started djing in 2002, at that time I was only 15 so it was just for fun at that time. My first set where I played my own music was in 2007 and from there I started to create my name in Sweden. | Search | Add | 4 | Southern Kartel | Southern Kartel is a group from Pine Bluff, AR. It consists of Smoke, Black Trump, K.O. and C-Rupt. As The World Goes Round is their debut album and it was released in 2001 on Black Trump Entertainment. Production on the album is smoothly done by Trump and Ace. The beats are a perfect example of southern fried funk at its finest. They contain various melodies mixed with jamming hooks and solid bass lines. The lyrics are excellent as well. All four members unquestionably shine on the mic. Their rhymes are deeply rooted and certainly eclectic. Guest appearances are made by Hawk of the Screwed Up Click, Playa Fly, Mo-Preme of Thug Life, Ronnie Spencer and Bobby Baller. Overall the record is a representation of timeless quality music. It is highly under rated and it does not get the credit it deserves. The group later separated over creative differences and this ended up being their only album. Members Smoke, Trump and K.O. have also released some solo albums as well
