Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | The Ivory Boy | The Ivory Boy is the pseudonym behind which Italian born DJ and producer Luca Spinogatti operates. Now based in the welcoming city of Berlin, Germany, he regularly performs in the city’s many club venues. His personal and musical growth traces back to the years in Bologna, Italy, between the late nineties and the beginning of the millennium. There, he collaborated with several artists from the local and national hip hop and funk scene, promoting one of the city’s hottest parties, weekly appointment FunkyVag. During the same period he released tracks with London based Jazzman Records UK, Record Kicks, and Soupy records IT, using the pseudonym DJ TIB, and collecting a series of shows in Italy and Europe. After a crucial stay in NYC in 2008, to complete his musical background, Luca now lives in Berlin, where he started his new project. In composing his tracks, he still taps into his large collection of old vinyl records, obtained through extensive crate digging in the shelves of record shops from all over the world. He then favors analog old school machinery to process the sound before the mixing process, to give his sound a distinct modern ‘vintage-sample’ flavor. Besides his solo project, Luca is also one half of the Peanuts (No Nore Hits) and Nero Jaxx with Andrea Benini and Alex Trebo (Mop Mop).

Their first EP 'I Don't Wanna Be The Winner & I Don't Wanna Be Saved', released on March 19 of 2020, is described by the members themselves as an outburst of sad and melancholic emotions with rage and forcefulness. An ups and downs of feelings.

Search | Add | 4 | Bliss Repair | Bliss Repair consists of St. Paul's [a=Eric Rea] and Omaha's [a=Stephen Sheehan]. The two first met while working at Spaghetti Works in Omaha in 1983 -- Sheehan as a waiter and Rea as a chef. They became musically bound thanks to a shared 3-year stint behind the counter at Homer's Records. Sheehan went on to form Omaha's first [a=Durutti Column] / [a=Throbbing Gristle] / [a=The Left Banke] - inspired rock band called [a=Digital Sex], which enjoyed its share of notoriety both locally and in, of all places, France. Rea also played in a few local bands, none of which he's willing to name (though they included The Decades), before moving to the Minneapolis / St. Paul area in '93. Bliss Repair music is anti-techno. With its lumbering beats, hippy-man bass lines, fuzzy-distorto guitars and synths, and myriad of '60s-era cult-reference samples, loops and sound effects, the duo's debut CD, Lo-fi Enlightenment, is nothing less than a stoner rock answer to Moby. And I haven't even touched on the blotter-acid-inspired spoken-word lyrics yet. Most listeners, especially those of the TRL / commercial radio variety, will find the whole thing downright weird and slightly unseemly.

Search | Add | 4 | Sadavada | At the beginning, graphic expression became necessary for SV. To express without words, those feelings and emotions. After an introspective trip, they began to discover aspects of themselves that remained hidden. The idea of keeping one’s inner child forever and the magnetism towards Japanese iconography from the 90’s and the 2000s, impregnated their work. SV uses plastic media such as engraving, watercolors, Chinese ink and now, exploring new horizons in digital illustration.

Search | Add | 4 | Serpicon3 | Andrea Spineda | Serpicon3, aka Andrea, is an electronic producer hailing from Rome, Italy. This talented musician started playing around and having fun with music in the far 1990 as a Dj. He even got a job in a club as a resident Dj in 1992. After harvesting the fruits of this job, he invested all the money into various music instruments : The main goal was to push his productions farther and hopefully make money in the music industry as a dance producer. Serpicon3 never reached that goal so far.. but he also never gave up with music and this is why I truly think he'll make it. Working mostly with Propellerheads Reason to make his music, Serpicon3 has got into many various electronic genre. Nevertheless, his public releases are only dance oriented tracks. Surely the music trends have a big impact on his style, but it's also important to mention that all the electronic music from the 80's are still an even bigger inspiration for him. Nowadays, Serpicon3 as an amateur Dj produces for himself, for passion, and for everyone that want to listen to his works. Bio courtesy of thebbcmusic |

Search | Add | 4 | Tony Fabbri | Anthony P Fabbri | Anthony P. Fabbri (1923-2009) was born in Italy, and moved to Los Angeles some time in the early 1960s. When there, he met a musician named Larry Hayes, who co-wrote some of Tony's early tunes. From the mid-60s on, Fabbri released a collection of singles on his own labels (Fabbri Records, A & F, Fanum Fortunae, A Flat & F Sharp and possibly more). In June 1977, he sang "The Phone Booth" on Gong Show, and got gonged when he, as he put it, "hammed it up". Tony was an eccentric. From visiting gay bars just for free barbecue buffets, to freaking out when a dog sat on his shirt, to including demos without his own vocals present on his own CD, he was one of a kind. He worked as a chef (Possibly at the Sheraton Plaza La Reina Hotel) and wrote songs on his down time. He was very frugal and would always look to record in cheap studios, but was always gracious with those who helped him. Tony was a catholic, and attended the Blessed Sacrament Church in Hollywood where he met singer Bobby Cottonwood, who did vocals on the 1998 version of "Somebody Took My Hand". He lived in a multi-person household on Carlos Ave., just South of the 101 Freeway in central Hollywood, but later moved to another house on Taft Ave in Los Angeles. When his CD was released, Tony went to the offices of Music Connection Magazine to try and get publicity for the album. They were extremely confused by his pitch. Tony had his own public access show called The Tony Fabbri Show, which had at least one episode, released in commemoration of the September 11th terror attacks in 2001. He was last active on CDbaby, however since they deleted their catalogue, anything that was for sale on there is lost. He released at least one other full length album called "Romantic Songs" which is also lost. His last known song is "God Bless New York". In 2002, he was a victim of the WorldCom Accounting Scandal, and filed several other lawsuits in the early 2000s. He passed away on Jul. 14, 2009. His obituary is eerily short, it is unknown if he has any surviving relatives. |

Search | Add | 4 | Western Continentals | The Western Continentals is the Barbershop Harmony Society's 1968 International Quartet Champion. First organized in 1964 in Phoenix, Arizona with Curt Kimball on tenor, Ted Bradshaw on lead, Paul Graham on baritone, and Terry Diedrich on bass. That fall, they won the 1964 Far Western District Championship. They qualified for international the next spring and finished 8th in Boston, MA. In 1966, Curt Kimball was drafted and was replaced by Al Mau as tenor. The quartet qualified for the 1966 international contest to be held in Chicago, Illinois. They sadly dropped down to 21st. Following that contest, Terry Diedrich was forced to leave the quartet due to personal reasons and was replaced by Phil Foote as bass. In 1967, the quartet went to Los Angeles and jumped from 21st all the way to 2nd place silver medalists. In 1968 in Cincinnati, Ohio, they won it all. They won that contest singing songs such as “Are You From Dixie” and “Heart Of A Clown”. The quartet traveled all across the county following their championship singing for chapters and shows everywhere. In 1971, Al Mau moved to California and was replaced by Frank Friedemann as tenor. The quartet retired following the 1973 international convention in Portland, Oregon. The quartet came out of retirement several times throughout the decade before calling it quits for good in 1979. During their time together, they recorded three albums: “Gonna Build A Mountain”, “Barbershop With A Continental Flavor”, and “The Continental Sound”. They all included their popular show tunes and a few of their contest songs. Their third album included a few piano and guitar tracks provided by Frank Friedemann. Al Mau went on to earn two silver medals with the Pacificaires in 1973 and 74. Ted Bradshaw was an international finalist in the 1970’s with the Command Performance. The championship version of the Western Continentals, Mau-Bradshaw-Graham-Foote, reunited in 1988 for the society’s 50th anniversary in San Antonio, Texas and the original district championship version, Kimball-Bradshaw-Graham-Diedrich, reunited in 2014 to celebrate their 50th anniversary as Far Western District Champions. The Western Continentals’ final curtain call was in July of 2018 in Orlando, FL when surviving members, Al Mau, Ted Bradshaw, and Paul Graham were honored for the 50th anniversary of their international championship. Today only Al Mau and Frank Friedemann survive. Phil Foote died in 2017, Paul Graham in 2018, Ted Bradshaw in 2019, and both Curt Kimball and Terry Diedrich in 2022.

EMI wanted them to record this single for the movie "E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial." [a=Lee Mansfield] [who sings on "Home,"] said that they were originally to become New Musik II. Besides "Home," and "Finders Keepers," (which was created especially for the BBC Children's TV show) an album's worth of material was recorded, but due to the legal issues pending around "Home," EMI delayed releasing the album, and eventually the various members moved on to other projects leaving the recorded tracks in the archives.

Search | Add | 4 | Conceptesia | Conceptesia project born in the first months of 2007. All begin like a game, nights spent listening to music and having very various dj sets, not following a precise way of sound. A boring sunday morning the decision : to produce own tracks. Immediately, in two weeks, six tracks are ready, very simple for the structure but very evocative for the very small period they were composed. Conceptesia put all these tracks in a cd called "Fiorino EP". The persevering presence in the best clubs of north and centre Italy contribute to increase their desire to search something different, something abstract
