Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 7 | Cheflodeezy | Llordel Taylor | Cheflodeezy is a Jamaican born Miami rapper. Deezy moved to Opa Locka, Miami at the age of 9 where he lived with his mom and younger brother. Deezy found his love for music as a teenager at Miami Central High, when his best friend at the time introduced him to the beat making platform Fruity Loops. After high school, Deezy fell into the street life. By the age of 21 he had multiple arrests, struggled with homelessness and the loss of a few close friends to gun violence. After almost going to prison for undisclosed cases and the birth of his first child llamiyah, Deezy decided to change his life. The Miami rapper went to culinary school and pursued a career as a professional chef. This is where he got the nick name “Cheflodeezy”. He free-styled and had other students listen to his music on a daily basis. After graduating culinary school, Deezy began to climb in the hospitality industry. Cheflodeezy started to literally blow up in the culinary word where he was featured in SoHo House world magazine as a rising star on Deco drive, and cooking for various celebrities on visits. Never letting his love for music die, Cheflodeezy went to recording studios on his days off and wrote music before and after work on most days. Still dream chasing and dropping music weekly, Cheflodeezy does this for the love of the craft. |

Search | Add | 7 | Sublimatus | Ontario, Canada based experimental rock trio which was formed in the late 80s. Sublimatus has been a transformational concept used by Zena Hagerty and Walter G. Peter as a creative principle for over 20 years. On its own, as a concept in the collective unconscious Sublimatus crosses the bounds of the physical, psychological and spiritual worlds. In the physical world, the term from chemistry to sublimate: “is to change a solid to a gas and back to a solid.” When used in psychology it denotes the act of using base instincts and energy in a productive/inspirational manner. For example a young bully takes up playing the guitar. Two of the most obvious usages of Sublimatus in the English language are the words subliminal and sublime. To sublimate is used in Alchemy, “an ancient form of mysticism”, as part of a process, which is intended to cause “individuation.” The process works on the premise that the individual is incomplete, but can become complete through a series of conscious mystical acts. With this in mind Zena, Walter have used Sublimatus as a watch word behind a multi-media arts center, a free form sound unit, posters and billboards, multi-media art installations, a sponsor of a bicycle team, a countless number of HAPPENINGS in the tradition of “Dada and being in the moment”. Sublimatus has run on the intent to cause the audience and artist to question ones motives/actions.

The singer who belonged to the Nigerian pop generation of Dizzy K Falola, Felyx and Mozyx, Alex O, Alex Zitto and Chris Mba, almost immediately changed the general tone of Nigerian pop music and was hailed as a fresh sound. The album produced by veteran Laolu Akins, spawned the evergreen hit singles Omoge – an ode to the ‘dangerous’ new breed of Lagos women – and Time Na Money, which preached the necessity of time management and planning. Other songs of the album include Orin Tun Tun, No more brother, Let your love show and Ayeme. Following the success of the album, Okri soon emerged the hottest new act of the 90s whose appeal cut across all tribes and age.

Search | Add | 7 | Bass Astral X Igo | Bass Astral x Igo tworzą producent Kuba Tracz i wokalista Igor Walaszek. W 2016 roku zadebiutowali krążkiem „Discobolus”, a w marcu ubiegłego roku wyruszyli w trasę, by promować drugą płytę - „Orell”. Latem zespół zagrał na największych polskich festiwalach, m.in. Open'erFestival, Audioriver, Kraków Live Festival, OFF Festival.

Search | Add | 7 | The European Jazz Youth Orchestra | The European Jazz Youth Orchestra, or EJYO in short (1998 to 2004, and 2006 to 2007), was an annual jazz big band project initiated by [a8206619] and [a702232], organised by the Danish-based organization [l1932768] and continued as [a4920628] (EJO) (2005 + 2008 to 2013) - all supported by the EU-Commission. In 2005 the European Broadcasting Union, EBU (the world wide network of jazz producers from the National Public Radio stations) joined the project and the EBU Big Band (see [a10348339]) and Swinging Europe/EJYO were merged, forming what became known as the EBU-European Jazz Orchestra. The forerunner of EJYO was the 1996 project [a1339635]. [b]The project[/b] Each year a new conductor and new composers were chosen and a band was formed by selected young jazz artists from the European countries. Rehearsels took place in Brande, Denmark (1998-2009) and Herning, Denmark (2010-2013) followed by a three weeks concert tour. More concerts were broadcasted and by the end of the tour one or more concerts were recorded and issued on CD (minus 1999 and 2002). Since 1998 and 2013, around 300 European musicians participated in the annual orchestra and over 200 concerts were organised in 35 countries in Europe, North and South America and in Asia. Search | Add | 7 | Godfrey Kerr | US songwriter, producer, label owner ([l=Gee Kay Records], [l=Kay Gee Records]) and ([l1676232]) Godfrey Kerr (born September 10, 1942 in Dublin ) an Irish-American radio presenter who made outstanding contributions to the Chicano rock from Los Angeles in the 1960s . Godfrey Kerr enjoyed traditional American pop as sung by Theresa Brewer and Guy Mitchell while growing up in Ireland . After emigrating to Culver City , California with his family in 1954 , he expanded his musical taste to include rhythm and blues . As a temporary worker in a record shop, he also began to be interested in jazz . After high school, Kerr started working full-time in the music business: he managed several smaller record labels, opened a mail order business for oldie records and organised dance and show events as a promoter and MC . For this he regularly booked leading bands of Chicano Rock between 1964 and 1968, including Thee Midniters who had a home game in the event halls of Barrio , East Side of Los Angeles. In addition, there were also interpreters of R&B such as Johnny Guitar Watson or Brenda Holloway . But Kerr was best known as a radio host and DJ under his first name Godfrey. Since 1964 he has often represented Dick “Huggyboy” Hugg on the broadcasters KRLA and KALI, the most important DJ for Chicano Rock alongside Art Laboe , thus inheriting the particularly loyal audience of the Mexican population of the metropolis. Godfrey soon moved to KTYM, where he hosted a weekday show playing Chicano rock and R&B ballads. In the mid-1960s, the simple sound of garage rock and surf rock were popular in California . Godfrey therefore tried his hand at being a musician knowing his limited singing talent. With Thee Midniters, he released a single on Whittier Records entitled Down Whittier Blvd. sang a central cruising stretch of the Barrios and which is a successor to the song Whittier Blvd. from the Midniters. His second single, The Trip, was a cover piece by Kim Fowley , which is an unequivocal tribute to the use of LSDand was therefore rewritten to a summer hit after public protest by the defused version Let's Take a Trip . Both versions were released on John Marascalco's small label Cee-Jam Records . Marascalco also granted Godfrey co-author credits for his own pieces like Something Like Mr. C by the Young Lions or named him as supervisor on Frankie Olvera's version of Huggie's Bunnies in the hope that Godfrey would thereby promote the tracks more on the radio. Godfrey also brought out four compilation LPs on which he put together obscure performers and their songs and presented them in the Godfrey Presents ... series. Godfrey stayed with KTYM until 1968, when the solid core of the Chicano movement at that time began to disintegrate, thus dwindling his audience and the number of visitors to his dance events. After a brief return to radio in the 1970s, Kerr started working in record distribution.

Search | Add | 7 | Gegenschein | Gegenschein was a Dutch post-rock band that existed from 2013-2022. The members of Gegenschein were Henk Bril (a.k.a. "the Genius"), Rob Hotje (a.k.a. "the Voice") and William MacVaine (a.k.a. "the Wizzard"). Gegenschein was based in Sittard, The Netherlands. HQ was the 'ARSIS Studios' (ARSIS: A Roof Somewhere in Sittard), owned by William MacVaine. The musical style is a post-rock melting pot with influences of Pink Floyd, Brian Eno, Rammstein, Alan Parsons, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Electric Light Orchestra, Philip Glass, Steve Reich, Anne Pigalle, Manuel Gottsching, Laurie Anderson and Kraftwerk. Although the name sounds German, most songs are in English. The first album 'Dark Moon Over Paradise' was released in December 2015; the second album 'Struggle For Passion' was released in November 2019. In January 2022 a compilation double lp was released with highlights from the two CD's and two previously unreleased numbers. Work had begon on their third album 'Magnificient Desolation', but COVID-19 restrictions from 2020 through 2022 delayed the work on the album significantly. The unexpected split up of the band (July 2022) unfortunately makes it uncertain that it will be finalized. However it is the intention of the former band members that it will be finished and released on lp or cd. Gegenschein (German pronunciation: [ˈɡeːɡənʃaɪn] German for "countershine") is a faint brightening of the night sky in the region of the antisolar point. [Source: Wikipedia.]

Search | Add | 7 | Rudy Rivers | Rudy LaRiviere | Rudy Rivers (his real name was Rudy LaRiviere) was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. He spent his early years in an orphanage. He started entertaining folks at the age of 15. Around that time also, he wrote his first song called “The Yodeling Symphony”. By 19, in the late 1930s, Rudy and his wife to be who also grew up in an orphanage hitchhiked to Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, where he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force until the end of World War II. Being an excellent artist he opened and ran a sign shop for 47 year. He continued to write songs and entertain. In those days he was know as “Rudy the Yodeling Kid”. I was born in 1944 and was there only child Rudy Jr. Rudy provided Acoff & Rose 12 songs to publish. Some of those compositions were recorded by Wilf Carter and Ernest Ashworth. The song "Pushed in A Corner" was recorded by Ernie Ashworth and reached #11 on the Billboard charts in 1964. Rudy himself recorded for Rodeo Records. But Rudy was not impressed with leaving my home and his wife, Monica, to go on the road to promote his records and career, it was just not his style. He probably passed up a great opportunity. A 1965 article indicates he recorded at least two sides for Rodeo Records and one for Sparton Records in 1964. His notes he had written more than 490 songs over a span of 69 years; most are all love songs. |
Search | Add | 7 | Fei Xiang | Kris Phillips | Kris Phillips was born in Taiwan in 1960. His father was an American diplomat and his mother a writer. He was first accepted by Stanford on full scholarship but dropped out after a year. He moved to New York in order to pursue a career in theater. He went to American Dramatic Arts Academy in New York and graduated in 1980. He made 3 movies in Taiwan in the early 1980s, but, at the same time, his singing career took off in a much bigger way. Kris made 13 records in Asia from 1981 to 1989, and every one of them was a best seller. In 1987, because of his American citizenship, he became the first performer from Taiwan to perform in mainland China's New Year's Eve variety show. It was an overnight success, and Kris dominated China's pop music for the next 3 years. He made 5 records in China between 1987 and 1989. Kris moved to New York in 1990 and was in the original Broadway cast of Miss Saigon. He also appeared in a few other Broadway musicals and plays between 1990 and 1995, but none of them was particularly successful. In 1995, he joined Andrew Lloyd Webber's touring company, costarring Sarah Brightman, in Webber's The Music of Night concert. The concert started in New York's Radio City Music Hall and then toured 43 cities in the US. The same concert was moved to Beijing in September 2001, with Elaine Paige replacing Brightman. It was the first time Broadway musical being introduced to mainland China. Kris Phillips also made a big comeback as a recording artist in Asia in 2000. He made two records in 2000 and 2002. He still is one of the highest paid stars in Asia today. Although he works extensively in Asia, Kris keeps an apartment in New York and considers himself a New Yorker. |

Search | Add | 7 | Ron Keel Band | After selling millions of albums and touring the world as both a metal screamer (Keel, Steeler, and a brief encounter with Black Sabbath) and an outlaw country artist, he has combined those elements into a powerful brand as the Metal Cowboy. In addition to Ron, RKB features lead guitarist Dave “DC” Cothern, bassist El Diablo (aka Geno Arce, also a longtime member of Keel and other Ron Keel projects), Jeff “The Rev” Koller on drums and keyboardist Dakota Scott Schmitt (the latter two are both members of the South Dakota Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame). They have been together for four years – starting out as the House Band for a Sioux Falls entertainment complex called Badlands Pawn. During that era, they toured heavily on their own and with Midwest legends Hairball, and backed up other singers like Paul Stanley, Jack Blades, Kip Winger, Mark Slaughter, Don Dokken, and Stephen Pearcy – and for a 2016 Sioux Falls performance they did a set of covers mixed with Megadeth hits with EMP founder David Ellefson. Those experiences tightened the band into a well-oiled musical machine and cemented their bond as friends. So, when Badlands Pawn went out of business, they chose to stick together and “fight like a band,” hence the inspiration behind the title track of the new album. “We’ve been to hell and back together,” Keel confesses. “Everyone in the band sacrificed a lot, leaving their homes, gigs, families and friends to be a part of that. When it folded, this group was too strong to stop, so we renamed it Ron Keel Band and kept doing what we do – kicking ass.” Ron also credits the band and their music with helping him stay strong as his wife Renée battled breast cancer last year. “This album is a monument to our fans and the tough guys in this band…and it’s the most personal musical statement I’ve ever made.”

Search | Add | 7 | A Tree On A Hill | A tree standing lonely on a hill has been watching the passage of time for centuries A feeling of majesty and confidence, the connection with the sur-roundings and the tranquillity of nature. All these are the sources of inspiration for the tracks of A Tree On A Hill. A tree on a hill exudes a sense of majesty and confidence, a connection with the surroundings and the silence of nature. All of these are the sources of inspiration for the songs of "A Tree On A Hill". The composer consciously takes a step back and let the sounds work for him. Born in the early seventies, the sound artist was mainly influenced by New Wave, Synth Pop and New Romantic. The piano and the classical guitar were replaced by keyboard and sequencer at the end of the eighties. Around the turn of the millennium, he produced several pop songs with various artists. Since 2020, he has been producing, among other things, new age songs in his studio, which are released under the artist name "A Tree On A Hill" and have a strong connection to nature. The first EP released, "Lying Under Trees", conveys the feeling of sitting under trees and feeling the wind blowing through the branches and making the leaves whisper. Each of the four tracks is dedicated to a special group of trees. The EP "Mellow Waves", which was released in the same year, takes the element of water in its various forms as its theme. The basis is the water cycle, which is the origin of all life on earth. From the first drops from the cloudy sky, over streams and rivers to the wide open sea. With the first single "Red Flavia", and the second single "Purple Hydrangea", the beauty of the blossoms follows this year. The blaze of colour awakens when the sun hits the delicate petals after a spring thunderstorm. Each individual blossom is delicate, unique and beautiful.
