Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 5 | Technicolor Noir | Technicolor Noir | TECHNICOLOR NOIR .. Noir as in "Film Noir", Movie buff, band songwriter & guitar player Astro's favorite film genre. And Technicolor as in "Technicolor Dreams" but, Noir. "Technicolor Noir" is the sub-genre where the Film Noir is shot in color... Hollywood colors! But, the story of the movie remains dark... which should be telling concerning our music versus our lyrics. A relatively new project, Technicolor Noir are from Paris' underground garage-rock scene; members feature : Astro, founder & lead guitarist, a veteran garage-rocker who previously played in the Tribe, Bang!, Scope, Bouton Rouge and numerous short-lived bands in-between... Eric, another veteran, but of the Paris indie pop-rock scene, mostly as ex.drummer and bassist in touring underground French singin' Power-Pop band, "La Moutarde Me Monte au Nez", with a record of 4 LPs; he now plays drums in Technicolor Noir... Yves, the original bass player who previously split after recording the group’s first 45 on “Dig The Fuzz’s Singles Club” limited issues is now back in the fold. He still leads, on the side (on guitar & vocals), his own Paris garage-rock band “Les Guillotines”, who had the privilege of being the first record released by the French indie label “Requiem Pour Un Twister” on their early subsidiary “Croque Macadam”. That label has since issued some records by “Triptides”, “The Proper Ornaments” or “The Young Sinclairs”... and Seva, direct from Russia, lead guitar and co-founder of the Karovas Milkshake, one of two of the most proeminent Russian garage-rock bands (the other being close friends, the Thunderbeats! ); he plays second guitar, alternating rhythm and leads, he sings lead on some tracks too. There you have the NEWEST line-up of this garage Folk-Rock project which started out as "Cloud Pilots" in 2013... ______ Members' bio. : Yves : likes singing about Guillotines (in French! ) and hunting wild ducks and boars when not singing hymns in churches on sundays! Dresses like a French Art Nouveau gentleman-detective (Hercule Poirot… with assorted mustache! ) and collects rare Garage 45s. A deerstalker cap would make his day, I presume. Seva : Russian spy and I with a French alibi. A delivery boy by trade, he fixes bicycles on the side but, after a past life making Karova Milkshakes, he really loves to quietly cultivate vegetables in his own backyard and occasionally teaches Jazz, writing musical scores. Currently Charging a Wave of Surf instrumental music… Astro : After watching late nights one too many Film Noirs, he had a bad Technicolor Dream that he should write garage-rock songs in his living-room... but, does so sporadically. He used to Bang and Scope out plans but nowadays, more often likes lazing around, listening to old records and going thru thrift-stores and bric-a-brocs on …lazy sunday afternoons; he’s a professional unemployed. An original Eastern halfcast « man-in-black », he hates Western patriots but likes their red, white and blue colors! • Eric : When not wearing casual jeans, tees and sneakers in his leisure time, bangin' on drums in his garage or breading children on weekends, he is the original Suit... the Man of Real Estate ! The only grown-up in the band who has a licence, drives a car around, takes care of business and manages the group’s budget. The most experienced of us all with 4 albums recorded under his belt... he is the Captain of our ship! |

| Search | Add | 5 | Otvoreni Prelom | Otvoreni Prelom | Otvoreni Prelom (Open Fracture) is Anarcho Hardcore Punk band from Senta (Serbia). The initial idea of forming a band started well before it's realization. Somewhere in the winter of 2008 the band started their first rehearsals…they quickly begun work on copyrighted songs! The problematic years of 1990's which brought wars, hate, life and death in the Balkan region did not bring good to anyone. But those years are well behind now. Text columns speak of the abyss that was managed to pull ourselves out of us, and of repercussions, but if a person does not think with his or her head then that person becomes a victim. We call upon everyone to stand up against any form of suppression which might be directed against us… and to make it clear that we will not be just innocent bystanders…main focus it's centered around pain, dealing with hard life, but also with lot of positive aspects such as survival, fight, truth and awareness that always can be worse than it already is. First album called Samokontrola was released in spring 2016. The band went through different lineup changes after recording first album. Ivan Molnar replaced Tihomir Vojnić on bass, and Palfi Čaba replaced Nyerges Tamas on drums. Further work from the band Otvoreni Prelom you will soon taste for yourselves, as the band already works on new album. Band members are: Mićo Krnjac - vocals Milan Simić Simke - guitar and backing vocals Kristian Bakalić - guitar Ivan Molnar - bass Palfi Čaba - drums |

| Search | Add | 5 | Gáspár Kornél | Kornél Gáspár | Gáspár Kornél is one of the Hungary’s most precious hidden gems. In the early 90's he released a lot of raw trashy dadaistic cassette tapes. Musically it occupies a space between new wave, electro and industrial. The lyrics, mostly in Hungarian, evoke a poignant and mysterious combination of poetic descriptions of the post-socialist reality, unmistakably dystopic images of the future that are sweetened by an almost folksy humour of a bygone era. This in itself would already win - his projects like [a=Új Látásmód Fúzió], [a=Nosztalgia Direktíva] etc a considerable chapter in the history books of the Hungarian electronic music scene. What makes this baritone voice absolutely inimitable though is the fact that the songs are delivered with a wonderfully charming avant-garde showmanship that is both surprising and self-evident at the same time. |

| Search | Add | 5 | George Skrbina | George Skrbina was a Croatian American tamburitza muscian. He was born in Pupolica, Croatia (then part of Austria-Hungary) in 1906. As a child he was fascinated with tamburitza music, but being of limited financial means, his interest was nothing more than a dream. Having an agile and very imaginative mind, George devised a means of financing a tambura. He commandeered the services of two very productive chickens, whose eggs he sold. Before long, he had enough money in his treasury to purchase a tambura. He had to walk eight miles to buy it, but he had realized his dream. With this determination and background there was no way George was to be an ordinary tamburas. He practiced every minute he had available and became an outstanding musician. George came to the United States at the tender age of 14 and settled in Youngstown in 1929, where he immediately joined a band consisting of himself, Dave Zupkovich, Steve Belish, Matt Nenkovich, and Pete Vladkovich. His travels took him to Detroit, where he met Steve Pavlekovich and a life-long friendship developed. From here, as his abilities ascended, he went to New York, where he joined the Banat tamburitza band, a premier band at that time. In Youngstown, George formed the Balkan Serenaders, also a top band in that era and locality. George's appearances on TV and radio were many in the Ohio/Pennsylvania area. Over the years George taught many youngsters, including the Markulin brothers, Lou, Steve, and Tony, his son Rudy, and Libby Fill, the female all-time outstanding tamburas. George performed with many outstanding tamburasi. Among them are Steve Pavlekovich, Markulin Brothers, Dave Zupkovich, Johnny Krizancic, Mel Evanovich, Pete Radakovich, Marty Kapugi, and Joe Marmilich. George transposed many of the older songs which were composed in 4/4 or 3/4 time to 2/4 time, which produced a more lively type of music. The transition was very well accepted by many of the top bands in the country. Using the chromatic scale, he introduced to tamburitza the cello, which gave tambura music a much greater depth of tone. This addition to tambura music was accepted by many bands and is being used more and more today. George's contribution did not stop here. It was George who introduced the idea of tamburasi playing in a standing position rather being seated. This innovation permitted the performers to mingle with the audience, which, of course, is enjoyed by music lovers of all nations. Let us not forget that this idea made possible the tamburasi playing at the bar. Where do you see more enjoyment than the competition at the bar for the honor of 'treating' the performers? There are thousands of individuals who were fortunate to have enjoyed this gentleman's countless hours of performing, many times far into the wee hours of the morning. He, in turn, enjoyed nothing more than to see people enjoying his presentations. George's dedication to the preservation and promotion of tambura music certainly warrants his appointment to the Tamburitza Hall of Fame with the many others so honored. | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Wyser | Henry Lee Robinson | Wyser is a rapper from Hunters Point in San Francisco, California. Henry Robinson aka Budwyser (or Wyser) was born on June 17, 1967. Budwyser got his name in 1990 after a rapper by the name of The Millard from Sunnydale Bayview. The Millard was the main insperation in Budwyser's name and was rapping and representing for Hunters Point at the time. Budwyser was so inspired in the rapper that he had a nickname for him and would simply call him "Miller" (like the Miller Lite beer) and would later called himself "Budwyser" King of the Rappers (like the Budweiser beer). At the the time, Budwyser and The Millard were battle rapping and dissing each other as a friendly competition and would go back and forth at each other, freestyle after freestyle until eventually The Millard started to promote Budwyser at shows while still dissing him. From there the name Budwyser took off all over the Hunters Point section. In 1991, Budwyser started getting on the radio 106 KMEL FM with Evan Luck and was on "The Battles Of The Rappers" several times. Later that year, Budwyser released his very first E.P. entitled "Life As A Nigger" in which the E.P. was rediscovered years later on the internet and it's now considered an "Unknown Classic" and was featuring another Hunters Point native by the name of DarRace Branner. A very rare cassette tape and it is extremely difficult to find. At the time of the EP release, Budwyser and a childhood friend by the name of Christopher Matthews who is now known as Black C of the legendary group RBL Posse had bought studio equipment and beat machines at a local Pawn Shop. At the time, Black C was the DJ, Budwyser and other Hunters Point natives name T-Lowe and his brother Bay Bay were the rappers. In 1992, Budwyser, Bay Bay and DarRace started working on there first official album entitled "You Can't Fade Me" under the name "The Product". It's considered a "Frisco Classic" in the Bay Area. It has songs like "You Can't Fade Me", "Bitches & Cops" & "Darling, Darling Baby" in which became underground classics. The album features T-Lowe and Black C & Mr. Cee of RBL Posse. The album was produced by T.C. who would gone on to produces classic albums for Totally Insane, I.M.P., Cold World Hustlers, RBL Posse, Herm Lewis, S-I-C, A.T.C., T-Gunn, Dre Dog aka Andre Nickatina, Rappin' 4-Tay, 11/5, Guce, just to name a few. Both projects "Life As A Nigger" and "You Can't Fade Me" are now extremely difficult to find and it's now collectable items. Budwyser took a 20 year break but he is now back in the studio and ready for a cameback on a new album called "Haters Come & Go" for the summer 2016 under the name "Wyser". |

| Search | Add | 5 | JP Maurice | Jean-Paul Maurice | “Big change is coming” is JP Maurice’s anthemic promise to anyone who has seen their share of adversity. The seasoned Vancouver based musician, songwriter and producer knows the highs of his craft, but it’s in the lows where he finds his fire – taking the fuel of failed record deals, broken hearts, and the loss of loved ones and forging the pain into something beautifully optimistic. After touring Canada, Europe, and then taking home 2nd place in the PEAK Performance Project radio contest in 2015, a loss in the family turned Maurice mostly inwards, where he focused on channeling his emotions into his art. Investing in a world-class studio in Vancouver has allowed for late night collaborations, producing other artists, and creating endless song ideas. A direct result was the Girls EP, released in January 2017, which sweeps from cinematic pop-noir into slinky neo-soul, all tied together with Maurice’s powerfully emotive vocals. It’s a modern sound that captures timeless sentiments – love, loss, and the twists and turns in between. 2018 Kicked off with Maurice’s national TV debut as a featured artist on CTV’s The Launch, where he performed “Shapeshifter” live in front of industry big-wigs and over 1 million Canadian viewers. The follow up to the Girls EP was the aptly titled Boys LP, released in the spring of 2018. Picking up where the Girls EP left off, Boys has a more optimistic tone and evolves into a new sound for Maurice with flecks of alt country and roots rock embedded in the album. Since then, Maurice has immersed himself in working on his forthcoming album Pressure Makes Diamonds; set to be his most personal endeavor to date by taking on co-production duties alongside music industry veteran Ted Gowans (The Rentals, Tegan and Sara, Kehsa). The album is slotted to be released in 2020 and will coincide with Maurice’s plans to embark on a European tour. |

A couple of singles were released, in this one that I bring you now in Un Toc de Rock d'Avui, the record company decided to use only one song to promote the album and brought this “Amor petit” sung in Catalan on the A side for Catalonia and sung in Spanish for the rest of Spain, titled “Pequeño amor”, reversing the faces, depending on the place. That's what it is to know how to save. Francesc Roca even released another single, in this case with two songs in Catalan, and I have to say that I lost track of Francesc Roca many years ago and I have never heard anything else about him. | Search | Add | 5 | My Sister, My Brother | Garrison Starr, Sean McConnell and Peter Groenwald had no intention of forming a band when they gathered for a songwriter's camp during 2018 in Nashville. But their composition there, "Nothing Without You" led to My Sister, My Brother. "We just hit it off right off the bat and had so much fun," McConnell tells Billboard. "We wrote 'Nothing Without You' that first day, and we were all, like, 'Wow, this is something we should do again' and we made it a priority to get back together." The trio wound up writing a half-dozen songs together at four or five subsequent gatherings back in Nashville, recording mostly at Groenwald's home studio. "We all produced, but Peter did most of the heavy lifting," McConnell reports. And he says their continued collaboration was about as easy as it was for "Nothing Without You." | |

| Search | Add | 5 | Thugnor | Side project of JA from Decayed. The concept behind Thugnor was to produce very slow and mesmerizing music, with lyrics dealing with death and related themes. Two songs were recorded in 1996 and released under the title “Hymns Of Death”. In the beginning of 2002, the recordings for an album started and were finally finished later. This time, the lyrics took a very different direction, that dealt with Scandinavian mythology. However, it seemed that it was difficult to find a label to release such an album. Finally by 2011, the full-length album "Scrolls Of Grimace" was released. In 2012, more new Thugnor tracks appeared on a split release with two other bands. | |
