Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Poucas Trancas | A Poucas Trancas band was formed in 2005 by the quartet of Santo André/São Paulo, with the proposal to explore a diverse music and attractive, is irreverence, whether by wealth. Creative and loaded with influence of seventies rock and a bit of Brazilian MPB, the Poucas Trancas gains followers each presentation. Besides the classic lineup drums, bass, electric and acoustic guitars, synthesizers, accordions and guitars complement their sound. With performances marked by interaction with the audience, the group abuses visual and sound elements that give the message of that is having a few locks to make music.

Search | Add | 2 | Lixo De Luxo | Lixo de Luxo (Luxury Garbage) appeared in 1977 in the south zone of São Paulo and some say that it is a first punk band of the city. But that's not what you want to say, it's an initial proposal from the Metropolis suburban groups. They were perfected musically and became a great hard rock band singing in Brazilian Portuguese. Even today they are worshiped by the fans due to their historical presentations like the Metal Rock & Cia. project.

Search | Add | 2 | Susanne Klimmer | Vienna-based singer-songwriter Susanne Klimmer published her debut album "NOW" in 2016. Her second album "AND THEN" followed in October 2021. She doesn’t follow the rules of mainstreaming songwriting. Her songs tell stories. And just as life sometimes does, the songs often take unexpected turns. Sometimes pensive and brooding, sometimes full of love, always powerful and from the heart – that’s how her music comes along. The new single “Feels Like Home”, published in 2023, was inspired by a long-awaited road trip. Drifting through the day, enjoying the sun, the sand, and the sea, allowing the unexpected, perceive and observe - that's what she desired. And that’s how it was. Even if this road trip is long over, memories of an exciting journey, beautiful encounters, new perspectives on life and a relaxation, that hasn't existed for a long time, still remain. "Feels Like Home” is a declaration of love to life, to the sea, to love, and to much more.

Search | Add | 2 | Sonic Wolf | ‘’It’s all about nexgen sounds!’’ - The motto that he created and changed everything. It changed the way how he sees the electronic dance music. For romanian DJ, producer and label head honcho Sonic Wolf, that way is called freedom. At the age of 24 years old, already gaining international success with his previous trance only project ‘’BVIBES’’, being a label owner of Nexgen Sounds Records and discovering great new artists and sounds and already working with international labels like Redux Recordings, Armada Music and Sony Music, a thing is for sure. The romanian youngster is full of energy, and this energy is up for doing some serious damage. Being a dreamer in real life, he is also a dreamer with his music and the freedom that he always wanted is here. Primarily focusing on techno music and the aggressive sounds that he is known for, you still never know. Stay tuned and be prepared, this is only the beginning.

Search | Add | 2 | Chief Lelooska | Don Lelooska Smith | Lelooska was given his name at age 12 when he was adopted by the Nez Perce. It means “He Who Cuts Against Wood with a Knife” and has become a treasured family name symbolic of their work. Named Gixken, “Chief of Chiefs”, an old title, by the Kwakwaka’wakw (Kwakiutl), Lelooska is the first child of Shona-Hah and was leader of the family. Lelooska and his family were formally adopted into the House of Sewide of the Mamaleleqala and Qwiqwasutnox bands of the Kwakwaka’wakw by Chief James Aul Sewide. With this adoption the hereditary rights, crests and privileges of the Sewide lineage were bestowed on Lelooska and his family. “I am the most fortunate of the children,” he said, “for I was the one best acquainted with our grandfather—a touchstone of the history and traditions of our people.” During the years of his childhood, Lelooska and his grandfather He-Killer were inseparable companions. The memory of the hours they spent carving and talking together were very precious to Lelooska. He-Killer was a man who went forward to meet life. Retaining at all times great pride in his Indian heritage, he served, as a young man, with Troop A of the Fifth Cavalry and later worked with Buffalo Bill Cody. Although Lelooska was of Cherokee descent, he transcended the normal confines of any single tribe. His life was devoted to the quest for knowledge, which made him an authority on the Indians of North America. Of particular interest to him were “The Cedar and Salmon People”—the tribes of the northwest coast. He made preserving their arts his life work. Lelooska spoke Chinook Jargon, the trade language of the coast, and was a student of the Kwakwaka’wakw (Kwakiutl) language. He was also conversant in half a dozen Indian dialects. His study of languages gave him insight into the traditional mind and enabled him to communicate freely with the Old People. “They are the books, the libraries, of Indian culture,” Lelooska said. He devoted a great deal of time to research for the educational programs, and he also experimented from research to develop techniques for the family’s artwork. These techniques were then refined and modified by family members for their own use. “Experimentation is part of our own ongoing education,” he explained. Lelooska’s work is highly prized by collectors. He was primarily a wood sculptor, well known for his versatility. His pieces range is size from those that can be held in the palm of the hand to huge totem poles. Opening masks, carved panels, feast bowls, rattles and animal sculpture are a few examples of the types of carvings which he enjoyed making. A man of commanding presence and a scholar, Lelooska had great charm and was extremely witty, all of which made him a favorite with people of all age groups and backgrounds. Of the family’s work and lifestyle, Chief Lelooska said, “Our grandfather advised us to take the best of both worlds–the Indian’s and the non-Indian’s–and combine them so that they would complement and enrich each other. This we have done, but, always, our Indianness is the focus of our lives. “There is much we must do. Before the coming of the white man, the Northwest Coast Peoples had a highly developed and complex culture. All facets of it were expressed in their art forms. But when their way of life was disrupted, so much of the art was lost and destroyed that all of it may never be recovered. “I plan to spend the rest of my life helping save what I can. But even if I live to be a hundred, I will only scratch the surface of what needs to be done.” Chief Lelooska passed away in September of 1996. The chieftancy was passed to his brother, Tsungani. His legacy of educational programs continues to this day at the Lelooska Cultural Center, where young and old come to learn from the living history programs, museum collection and other activities. |

Search | Add | 2 | Makepeace Brothers | Group based out of Venice, California. The four Makepeace brothers have been called “The Everly Brothers squared” but their catchy harmonies are only part of their appeal. Aidan, Liam, Finian, Kieran Makepeace and Conor Gaffney have gained world-wide attention because their songs move people to think, feel, and dance, with lyrics that are both witty and poignant, and which spread the message embodied in their surname – “make peace”. Growing up in the vibrant music community of Ithaca, New York the brothers were exposed to all musical genres but their commitment to a life of music began during a year-long odyssey with their parents in a small Winnebago motorhome. That tour of the US gave them first hand experience with American Roots music and the musicians who play it, and that inspired the boys to begin writing and performing their own songs. The brothers’ musical horizons were broadened further at Summer music festivals where they heard all forms of World Roots music, and from their own travels abroad when they lived in Costa Rica, Brazil, and England — immersing themselves in the music and rhythms of those cultures. After years of solo and ensemble projects, in 2007 the boys finally came together again to combine their musical visions and to create the unique sound of The Makepeace Brothers. Now, after release of two self-produced albums, and national tours with Grammy Award winner Jason Mraz, The Makepeace Brothers have a dedicated international fan-base that not only dances to their music but believes in their message as well. The Makepeace Brothers band, which has always included longtime friend Conor Gaffney on bass, now incorporates various drummers and other accompanists, and their sound has evolved from an acoustic coffeehouse combo into a full-throated stage band. Consequently, The Makepeace Brothers have been booking larger and larger shows, and the best is yet to come for this upbeat, uptempo, and politically conscious band of Brothers because their sweet harmonies and sincere, life-long message of peace, love, and justice are exactly what the world wants to hear right now.

Search | Add | 2 | Neon Voyagers | In 2021, NEON VOYAGERS were born in Patras Greece . They consist of Alexandros Tzamalis and Tryfonas Tryfonopoulos and aim to bring 80's sounds full of analog synthesizers and Neon lights to today. The creative duo grew up in the age of Neon light. They were experientially nourished by music from John Carpender's films. Grew up with tv shows like the Voyagers, Knight Rider, Doctor Who, Tales from the crypt. When games were 8bit and movies in VHS.The sounds of NEON VOYAGERS are captured by analog synthesizers and drum machines. This neon voyagers 2023 self-titled debut album is the first full length completed work. It is undeniably a genuine example of synthwave. The cinematic approach as the 10 tracks unfolds in a selected order is a composed transition from dark post apocalyptic to neo-romantic feelings of a first date at a drive inn.As they characteristically note, "we are space-time travelers in a musical Neon universe. We live in the present, the future, the past at all times. Bean me up Scotty. We are the Neon Voyagers."

Search | Add | 2 | Bram Van Velde | Bram (Abraham Gerardus) van Velde | Bram (Abraham Gerardus) van Velde (19 October 1895 in Zoeterwoude, near Leiden, Netherlands – 28 December 1981 in Grimaud, near Arles, France) was a Dutch painter known for an intensely colored and geometric semi-representational painting style related to Tachisme, and Lyrical Abstraction. He is often seen as member of the School of Paris but his work resides somewhere between expressionism and surrealism, and evolved in the 1960s into an expressive abstract art. His paintings from the 1950s are similar to the contemporary work of Matisse, Picasso and the abstract expressionist Adolph Gottlieb. He was championed by a number of French-speaking writers, including Samuel Beckett and the poet André du Bouchet. |

Search | Add | 2 | Whipping The Clown | Whipping The Clown | Excellent band from Catalonia´s Costa Brava, based on Tossa de Mar and Lloret de Mar. Their sound is fresh, full of great riffs in the vein ot the first Metallica or Megadeth era. They sound really compact with energy, power but with melody and greats riffs. A band to look forward, don´t loose the possibility to hear his music!! |
