Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 2 | Al Ponting | Al Ponting (14/5/1948 – 1/9/2007) was married to singer Heather Innes. Al wrote a number of his own songs and recorded these during his life along with other covers. Heather writes:” I met Al at a folk event in Hereford, England in March 1996. At the time he had recorded a full cassette tape of songs but couldn’t afford to have the recording printed off as cassettes. That was until I found him a gig at a hotel on Holy Island, Northumberland. The gig was on a Sunday evening and Al and I went straight from a church service at St Mary’s on the island to his gig. At the service I noticed that Al put his very last pennies in the collection plate. In the break at Al’s gig a young couple approached Al for a copy of his song “Bluebell Time”. When they learnt that Al didn’t have a recording and why, the man, a solicitor from the south of England, wrote Al a cheque on the spot to fund the recording of 500 cassettes with the one proviso Al send him and his fiancé one of the cassettes.” Later Al joined folk band “Firefrost” for a while then formed a duo “Freeloaders” for a number of years with singer/guitarist Davey Shaw. During his career as a singer/songwriter Al penned a number of peace songs which he put together as several peace concerts with a variety of musicians in Scotland and Florida, USA. Being a builder and blacksmith by trade, Al had a desire to provide decent, affordable housing for folk in need and contacted the Habitat for Humanity organisation to donate the proceeds of his peace concerts and to help with the building of one of their houses on a trip to Florida. Heather’s duo “Caim” was invited to record at the studio of Right Real Records in Rotherham, Yorkshire and thought Chris of Right Real Records should hear Al’s music. Chris liked what he heard and Al visited Right Real Records in July 2007 to record 4 of his songs – including his song “Valley of Love”. During this time Chris and Al became firm friends. Al had a sudden stroke resulting in renal failure at the end of August 2007 and died on 1 September 2007. Al’s song “Valley of Love” was quickly mastered by Chris and made ready to play at Al’s funeral and Chris sang his own song “Goodnight” for Al at the service. Both songs are on this album of Al’s which Chris and Heather put together after Al’s death as a tribute to him. Al had wanted to have a CD called “Full Vision” – Chris and Heather completed it for him. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Chrystal Cherniwchan | Chrystal Cherniwchan is a Canadian artist currently living in the UK. She received her BFA in Photography from the Alberta University of the Arts in Calgary, Canada, and her MA in Multi-Disciplinary Printmaking from the University of Western England (UWE), in Bristol, UK, where she received the Agassi Book Arts Prize for her degree show installation ‘mishappenings’. Recent highlights include exhibiting in a group show ‘Incarnations: When Photography Takes Shape’ at the Rencontres d’Arles, Arles, France, and featuring in the French publication Fisheye Photo Review Vol.2. She uses photography, video, field recordings, text, and voice in her practice, and considers her projects to be speculative in the way they sit in-between the binaries that still prevail in the discourse around documentary image/sound making. Aiming to create hybrid forms, she likes to test and experiment with digital and analogue captures to see how malleable and stretchy processes can be and take them to a place of 'becoming'. She often uses landscape as a stage to perform and/or appropriate narratives that exist within a place, often pointing towards memory, agency, gender, and class, and is interested in our entanglement with nature. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Riley Fitzgerald | Riley Fitzgerald | Riley Fitzgerald (born in 1988) is a known figure in Brisbane's cultural landscape, notable for his contributions to music journalism, scholarship, and entrepreneurial ventures. From 2012 to 2021, he worked as a freelance music journalist. His writing appeared regularly in Australian publications Music Feeds, Happy Magazine, Stoney Roads, and Howl & Echoes. He also made contributions to Collapse Board, an influential alternative music publication founded by Nirvana and Kurt Cobain biographer Everett True. Riley’s diverse body of journalism covers underground music, mental health in the music industry, and memorable interviews with The Jesus & Mary Chain, and members of The Go-Betweens. He also documented the early years of the 2010s vinyl revival. Parallel to his journalism, Riley independently recorded and released two ambient music EPs. "Future Shocks" in 2013 and "Strange Waters" in 2014. Both showcase a talent for creating atmospheric soundscapes. He has also collaborated with Andrew Boyd (a Brisbane artist known for his work in Old Growth Cola and Chivalry). Riley has also pursued scholarly study of music at The University of Queensland and The University of Melbourne, greatly enhancing his expertise in classical and popular genres. A venture into entertainment law in 2012 provided him with a unique perspective on the legal intricacies of the music industry. In 2020, he founded and edited Cosmic, an Australian psychedelic music and art fanzine publishing longform journalism on acts like Tame Impala and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. He followed Cosmic with the creation of a second digital publication known as The Glitter & Gold in 2021. In 2022, amidst the resurgence of vinyl culture, Riley founded Glitter Records, a music shop in Brisbane renowned for its contrarian curation and a unique catalog of over 11,000 recordings. Today, Riley remains committed to music that challenges mainstream narratives and, increasingly, the preservation of forgotten recordings. His enduring passion continues to play a role in shaping innovation and new ways of thinking within Australian music. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Brittany Maier | Brittany Mercedes Maier | Brittany Maier was born in April of 1989. Premature by four months, she weighed a pound and five ounces. Even though she was diagnosed blind, autistic, and mentally disabled, Brittany Maier’s amazing musical talent surfaced when she began playing Schubert's Ave Maria on a toy piano at age six. Able to duplicate a song after having just heard it a few times, Brittany Maier memorized music with no limit to style, instrument, or language it was recorded in. At age ten, after receiving formal music instruction at The University of South Carolina's School of Music, Brittany began composing her own original songs and she released her first album "20/20" when she was just twelve years old. In 2005, Brittany Maier moved to New York where her talent found a larger audience through television appearances on Dateline NBC, Paula Zahn - Now! and the Montel Williams show. She performed as a guest of honor at Governor and Mrs. Pataki's Annual Prayer Breakfast, has entertained a crowd of fifty-five thousand Met fans at Shea Stadium, has been welcomed in a countless number of houses of God by religions of all denominations and origins and was recently privileged to grace the hallowed and prestigious stage of Carnegie Hall. Brittany Maier’s second CD, titled "A World of My Own," was released through Barnes & Noble stores nationwide in America in 2006. In 2007 her music grew to a worldwide audience when she appeared on German television for Die Show Der Merkwurdigkeiten (“Show of Miracles”). Headlines from newspapers called her "A Gift from God" and "AMusical Miracle" and those thoughts are echoed daily by her fans. Brittany Maier performs nationally for charitable organizations that raise awareness for autism and many other special needs causes. The New York Daily News wrote of her: “Brittany is a brilliant testimony to God’s gracious, miraculous presence among us,” then cited her as “perhaps the leading female musical savant in the world.” Dr. Scott Price, from USC’s School of Music stated to Dateline of Brittany’s skills, “To find all of those qualities housed in one person…we start listing names like Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt...”And the opinion of Dr. Darold Treffert, leading and world renown specialist on savants who says “Brittany fits the spectacular, rare, musical genius seen in prodigious savants,” and cites that there are only twenty people in the world with talent such as hers. Inspiring millions around the world without saying a word, Brittany’s life is meaningful, purposeful and divinely directed. Brittany enlightens people that they can overcome any obstacles in life they are presented with and still pursue their dream. Where her talent will take her, or what greatness she will achieve, no one knows. There is no stopping the power of God, which works its way through and around her, illuminating every audience she reaches. Brittany penetrates the soul, mesmerizes the mind and captures the heart through her music. Unique and amazing, she is history in the making. Unforgettable and a truly great artist and composer of our time, she is the one and only… Brittany Mercedes Maier. |

| Search | Add | 2 | Hand Grenade Job | Hand Grenade Job (HGJ) is an experimental post-americana duo from Washington, DC. Both women are vocalists and multi-instrumentalists, with Beck Levy (Turboslut, The Gift) primarily playing guitar and Erin McCarley (Delta Dart, Pygmy Lush, Governess) primarily on percussion. Levy and McCarley both come from DIY punk scenes. Their previous bands were loud. HGJ explores a different mode of heaviness. As a band, they are directed by the values of minimalism, agility, and confrontation. Their live performances include elements of visual and performance art, with a constructed habitat that evolves from show to show. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Shekina | Shekina, a symphonic progressive rock band from Malmö Sweden, started out as Solen Strålar (=The Sun is Shining). That was in the beginning of the 70's. The group´s name was changed to Shekina (Hebrew for God's presence in a certain place). They only landed a handful of gigs in the first years, some of them at free out-door festivals. Influences came from Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis, and Procol Harum. The album title of Shekina's long lost masterpiece is rather typical for the times (the mid 70's) and for this advanced kind of symphonic progressive music. | |

| Search | Add | 2 | Not Mass | Antonio Mastromarino | The project Not Mass arises from the desire to experiment harder and darker sounds. The interest in this new sound comes straight from the passion for punk and rock music that characterized his childhood as a drummer. His teens are marked by the characteristic settings and the atmosphere of the clubs of his land, allowing him to collect sounds that would fill and characterize his musical background, up to debuting in clubs such as Tresor, ://About Blank, Corsica Studios, Garage Noord, Rashomon Club and more. His musical selection ranges from techno to electro crossing broken and hard beats, making his style as eclectic and never defined. |
