Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 4 | Exebelle | Known as "Exebelle And The Rusted Cavalcade" until 2017. Taking inspiration from Virginia's folk tradition as well as the rural country-rock of Ryan Adams, the Band, and Neil Young, songwriters Philip Heesen and C.E. Wright formed Exebelle & the Rusted Cavalcade in September 2007. Kerry Hutcherson joined the duo soon after, having previously cut his teeth with the local group Copper Sails, while bassist Ryan Owenby enlisted after the disintegration of his own Richmond-based band, Motion Picture Demise. The lineup remained intact for the local release of The Skeletor Sessions in 2008; shortly thereafter, though, Wright returned to his native Utah. With their original frontman gone, the remaining members began incorporating thick harmonies and varied instrumentation into their previously stripped-down music. The Antipoison Creek Sessions displayed the new sound in 2009, with each member contributing lead vocals to at least one of the EP's four tracks, and the countrified C.A.F. followed a few months later. Exebelle wrapped up the year by putting the finishing touches on Vivement l'Automne!, which appeared in early 2010. That same year, Virginia native Ben Willson joined the group on piano and vocals, making his Exebelle [record] debut on 2011's "V". - Andrew Leahey, AllMusicGuide Having gone without drums for quite some time, the band gained the aid of Mike Trimble for a short while in 2011 -- who had performed previously drummed with the band, some years before -- but then were back to square one when nature called Mike to LA. In 2012, with Phil's newly-acquired position in the popular Richmond band "Long Arms", he and their drummer Greg Butler became fast friends, leading Greg to graciously agree, along with Willson's friend and former bandmate Steve Chiles filling Owenby's spot on bass, to join the ranks of the Cavalcade in their quest toward a rowdier, more rewarding destiny. In 2014, Butler moved on and Exebelle welcomed drummer Kevin Willoughby into the fold. In early 2017, Exebelle welcomed bassist Mikey Bryant (Alabama Thunderpussy, Kid Is Qual) to the band. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Domas Žeromskas | Domas Žeromskas | The 23-year-old Lithuanian jazz pianist and composer has spent his early formative years on stage alongside prominent native jazz veterans. By the time he graduated high school, Domas was already a sought-after player, known for his technical versatility and soulful, eclectic taste. At the age of 18 Žeromskas released his debut album “Infinite Itinerant”, showcasing original music composed and arranged during his teenage years, some tunes dating back to 2015. Along with an abundant team of Lithuanian musicians, the album featured guest performances from Braxton Cook & Gustav Karlström. In the following years he has been recording and touring internationally with artists such as Jacques Schwarz-Bart, Gregory Tardy, Faryi Malek, Naledi Masilo, Tom Scott, and was also part of Euroradio Jazz Orchestra, hosted by WDR (Cologne, Germany). In 2021 he started the acclaimed trio with Ian Quinton Banno on bass and Héctor L. Falu Guzmán on drums. Besides serving as a first-call rhythm section at Berklee College of Music and for a handful of seasoned jazz musicians, the group did multiple residencies in Lithuania, performing festivals, teaching clinics and working with a handful of local and visiting artists. Upon graduating from Berklee, Domas recorded “Meditations on Providence and Perseverance, Vol.1”. Featuring collaborations with Gregory Groover Jr., Nadje Noordhuis, Gregory Tardy, Alexandria DeWalt and many others, the album appeared in March 2024. The pianist currently resides in Boston, pursuing his masters at the New England Conservatory. He cites Gerald Clayton, Keith Jarrett, Sullivan Fortner and Rev. James Cleveland as influences. Domas’ original music combines Post-Bop and metrically-nuanced modern jazz with Gospel/sacred music traditions and Afro-Caribbean styles. The repertoire is also enriched by modern adaptations of his native Lithuanian composers’ songbook and Baltic folklore. |

| Search | Add | 4 | Ramona Yacef | Born in Torino, Italy, Ramona devoted her life to music. At the early age of 5 she began playing the piano, which immediately became her first big passion. She grew up as an artist firstly in Torino with her crew and party organizers called “ We Play The Music We Love”. The collective has been representing the underground music scene of the northern Italian city for the last 10 years and Ramona is definitely an important influence still nowadays. Then she moved to Paris where she fully dedicated herself and her time producing music and grew artistically, starting to gain recognition also from outside France. From “Output Club” New York, playing with artists like Seth Troxler and many more Ramona has proven talent and fine taste. In the words of the french “Trax Magazine” in early 2019 Ramona is «the Italian music expert». Ramona has hit Paris playing “Concrete” and “Rex Club” as well as collaborating with the label and promotion agency “Crazyjack”. She spends time in the studio between gigs and radio shows, where she is currently working on an EP with Aprapta. Warm sounds does not allow us to confine her style under any music genre. Her music is not only for the dance floor but also for those ears who appreciate eclectic groove and refined rhythm coming from all Ramona´s endless musical influences. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Mieczyslaw Kolinski | Mieczyslaw Kolinski (5th Sept 1901, Warsaw — 7th May 1981, Toronto) was a Polish-Canadian ethnomusicologist and composer. He became a naturalized Canadian citizen in 1974. Kolinski received his education in Berlin, where he studied piano and composition with [a6828211] and [a906989] at the [url=https://www.discogs.com/label/481472]Hochschule für Musik[/url] (1923-'26). The scholar then pursued musicology at the Berlin University under [a1325982], [a8222219], [a3549142], and [a2529657], granted a PhD in 1930. As Hornbostel's assistant at the Berlin Staatliches Phonogramm-Archiv (1926 to 1933), Kolinski made several field trips to Bavarian Alps and Sudeten. He spent the mid-'30s transcribing Surinamese, Dahoman, Togonese, Ashanti, Haitian, and Kwakiutl Indian music for [l441870] and [l203349]. From 1938 till 1951, Mieczyslaw Kolinski resided in Brussels, Belgium. In 1951, Kolinski traveled to the United States and spent fifteen years in New York. He worked as [l594706]'s editor and a music therapist at several hospitals and co-founded the [l996649] (serving as president in 1958-'59). Since 1966, Mieczyslaw Kolinski lived in Canada. He taught ethnomusicology at [l947487] (1966-'76), becoming the university's first Scholar Emeritus upon retirement. Some of his pupils include [a2640311], [a1038461], [a291715], and [a950315]. Kolinski was also an associate composer at the [l75747]. Among Kolinski's primary research interests was establishing the scientific basis of harmony and melody. One of his early monographs, [i]Konsonanz als Grundlage einer neuen Akkordlehre[/i] ("Consonance as the basis of a new chord theory") published in 1936, anticipated a few of [a=Paul Hindemith]'s theories. In ethnomusicology, Kolinski is most notable for developing cross-cultural analytical methods for studying the human acoustic perception that would apply to an overarching variety and diversity of the world's music genres and styles. Rather than focusing on contrasting differences between European and non-European musical cultures like most scholars did, Kolinski instead highlighted existing parallels, suggesting there are "basic similarities in the psycho-physical constitution of mankind." In the absence of such a universally recognized "objective" comparative framework in ethnomusicology today, most contemporary scientists, including [a=Bruno Nettl], routinely mentioned Kolinski's findings, alongside [a304968]'s and his teacher Hornbostel's writings, as most notable attempts to create one. As a composer, Mieczyslaw Kolinski often employed elements of modernism and wrote in a wide range of styles. His compositions include at least one work for an orchestra, many chamber pieces for small ensembles, duos for piano with violin or oboe, and solo piano pieces. Kolinski authored settings and arrangements of numerous carols and German, Dutch, Slovak, French, American, Canadian, Yiddish, Sephardic, Hebrew folksongs. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Counterfeit Jeans | Counterfeit Jeans formed in Edmonton in 2014. Within a year they released a four-track EP garnering positive reviews across Canada and in the US, leading to a string of shows and festival dates in their first year as a band. Their music is melodic, with serpentine guitar lines married to a driving rhythm section. This all results in a massive sound that you’d be shocked to know is made by only a group of three. Named one of Edmonton’s hidden gem bands by CBC in 2015; popping up on the “Best of 2015” lists by the Edmonton Journal, Cups n’ Cakes podcast, and Harder Harmonies podcast; and receiving two 2016 Edmonton Music Award nominations for Indie Rock Recording of the Year and Artist to Watch, the young band has already become well-known in the independent music scene. Counterfeit Jeans released their debut LP in Canada through Edmonton indie label, Sometimes Music on July 1, 2016 and in the United States through Brooklyn indie label, Broken Circles on Aug. 5, 2016. The album received positive reviews in the United States, Europe and Canada. Counterfeit Jeans’ LP spent more than 17 weeks on Canadian campus charts nation-wide and placed in the national campus top 50 charts. Counterfeit Jeans was the first artist to appear on CKUA radio/Capital City Records podcast that highlights Edmonton-area music as well. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Biastfear | BiastFear | Includes former members of Ohio metal band [a=Sacrifix (3)]. There are two definitive eras of the band's history, although three additional line-ups existed. The "metal" era of the band featured two pairs of male friends joining forces to combine their love of thrash, industrial and death metal. Influences included: Cannibal Corpse, Sepultura, Fear Factory, Acid Bath, Nailbomb, Napalm Death and Machine Head. A demo, ("A Worthless Emotion"), and a full-length, ("The Ties That Bind"), were released. Some hints of the band's newer influences were apparent on the full-length release, but would come to fruition in the coming years. The band started to evolve and experiment with their sound, eventually losing the death and thrash influences in favor of groove and attitude. New influences included: Coal Chamber, Sevendust, Stuck Mojo, Manhole L.A., Living Colour and Biohazard. One of the founding members didn't like the musical direction and was asked to leave the band. A new male vocalist was acquired but his time with the band was short-lived. He was replaced be a female vocalist and the second era of the band truly began. Retaining their down-tuned guitars from their heavier days, the band began to write music inspired by where heavy music was going to instead of where it had been. The band's second full-length was released on the verge of the dawn of what would become known shortly as "nu-metal", although in December of 2000 nobody really called it that yet, so the band and their fans made up their own genre definitions: some called it heavy-hop and some called it R&Bcore. Questionable experimentation with hip-hop aside, it resounded with fans in a big way and the band found themselves touring more often and playing to bigger crowds. Demos were made for a follow-up recording and shopped to labels, but the band found far too many people unsure of exactly how to market the band, even though they agreed the music was strong and the band's live performance was solid. The stagnation lead members to start to experiment with side-projects and other interests, and with no official farewell show, the band went on an indefinite hiatus and never reconvened. |
