Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 16/12/2025
Found 617983 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Taking The Beach Boys (talkin' Pet Sounds years here) on a lovelorn wander through the transistor wires, Wilson has created a vision of honest pop that’s echoing Paul McCartney and Emitt Rhodes in the best ways. | Search | Add | 4 | qoru | Jac Neich | Based in Australia, Jac Neich (professionally known as ‘qoru’) started producing hip hop music reminiscent of the 1990’s when he was 15. He began to distribute his music on SoundCloud going under a persona named ‘jxcques’ which was later changed after the release of his 2020 mixtape ‘qoru, vol. 1’. In February of 2021 he released the following sequel, ‘vol. 2’. In an interview he stated; “Looking back on them, I’m not really fond of how basic they were. But I remember they were merely my way of starting out and getting onto the hip-hop scene.” Later in the year, he resubmitted both ‘vol. 1’ and vol. 2’ on streaming services as a joint project, named ‘growing up’. After he found his place in the industry, qoru shook the ground with project after project, making 2021 not only his sophomore year as a producer but his most fruitful year to date. These projects would include ‘THE LAST STRAW’ as well as releasing his first commercial album ‘Dropout’ featuring Kid Jac and Mxlly. His second album, ‘Intoxicated’ (released 29th October) held no features and reached the number one placement on the Bandcamp discover page for instrumental hip hop before its release. “Heaven (You're Gone)” was used as the headlining song for a bandcamp radio exclusive, titled ‘The Hip Hop Show’ Episode 25, hosted a week before the album release, on 22nd October. Finally, Intoxicated is currently at an astonishing 10,000 plays (and counting) on bandcamp. |

Later he was taken to Pt. [a=Kumar Bose] for advanced Taalim. With immense grace, Abhirup has been beautifully proved his ability on Benaras Gharana and has been playing “Baayan” in an unique style on his Guru’s path. He was fortunate enough to receive Taalim from the Sarod Wizard Pt. [a=Debojyoti Bose] for various aspects of Sangat. The band claims they were formed in and have been releasing music since 2000, but there's little evidence to support this. Many of those releases appear to be non-existent, while others were created after 2022 and given fictional earlier release dates. While a handful of demos have been uploaded to YouTube by the band, most of those albums have not been given physical releases or digital downloads. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Fanny Reed Hammond | Fanny Bliss Reed (1875-1969) was a musician, curator, and benefactress of the arts, for whom the Pine Manor College Fanny Reed Hammond Collection of Keyboard Instruments was named. The daughter of Rev. Dr. Edward Allen Reed and Mary Bliss Reed, Mrs. Hammond was for most of her life a resident of Holyoke, Massachusetts. She married William Churchill Hammond, noted organist, at the Second Congregational Church of Holyoke where he was music director (today the United Congregational Church) on June 28, 1898 and they had two sons, William Churchill Hammond, Jr. and Lansing Van der Heyden Hammond. In the 1920s she appears to have arranged sheet music for the violin and piano, published under C. W. Thompson & Co. of Boston. She was curator of the Skinner Musical Collection for many decades, appearing to likely have taken up the mantle as the main curator at Wistariahurst after the death of Nils J. Ericsson, a contemporary of Arnold Dolmetsch, after his death on February 17, 1933. This coincided with the same year the catalog of that collection was first released under the commission of William Skinner (II). Mrs. Hammond would remain with the Wistariahurst collection as curator up through its donation to Yale in 1960, and recorded at least 2 records of her narration and explanation of its instruments. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Bernard Moussali | Bernard Moussali (1953, Beirut -1996, Paris) was an Associate Professor of Arab Literature, and Lecturer at the Sorbonne, he had dedicated his research to Arab Music, with an open-mindedness he passionately defended. Born to a Syrian-Lebanese father and a Belgian mother, he carried within a multiculturality that was at the core of his too short scientific career. Gifted with an uncommon spirit of enquiry and with rare erudition, attentive reader of Ṭabarī, of ‘Abd al-Ghanī al-Nābulsī as well as of Umberto Eco or simply of crime novels, Bernard Moussali was known for his often categorical judgements and his quick wit that made of him and intellectual who was admired as much as he was feared. He published very little, always reworking the texts he patiently prepared. In the field of Arab Literature, we only know of a single course by him, that remained a manuscript, on Maḥmūd Darwīsh’s work; but he had also started writing a History of Contemporary Arabic Literature that remained unfinished. Bernard Moussali had established himself as a well-informed amateur and a passionate listener of early 20th century Arab Music that he thought was more important to immerse oneself in than to analyse. Like Christian Poché or Frédéric Lagrange, he gave priority to archiving, particularly through 78rpm discs that reflected a period he considered to be unjustly forgotten. In this capacity, he contributed, with Christian Poché, to the first CD re-release of Arab Music records (Ocora, Arab World Institute, 1987). His research work mainly concerned the 1932 Cairo Congress of Arab Music. He had dedicated to this subject his master’s dissertation (1980) and was preparing on the same theme a doctorate thesis that was unfortunately interrupted because of his illness. Nevertheless, he participated to the re-release of a selection of 78rpm discs recorded in Cairo in 1932, once again with Christian Poché (IMA, Bnf, 1989). His uncompromising analysis of the debates of the Cairo Congress[1] had raised his awareness about he importance of the influence of Ottoman Music on its Arab counterpart during the last centuries, and he learned Turkish in order to better exploit these sources. He also often pointed out the essential role, ignored later on, of numerous minorities –Christians, Jews and others– as to the origins of “Arab Music”. Regarding the Egyptian hegemonism at the 1932 Congress, he brought out the historical contribution of Syria in the 18th and the 19th centuries. Bernard Moussali mainly published CD booklets, around twenty, including mostly audio archives, but also some live concerts, elevating the disc’s value to that of an anthology, thanks to his always precise erudition as well as to his passionate loquacity: a lyrical listener who knew how to steer himself in an era of statistics and technicity. | |

| Search | Add | 4 | Comanchist Ropan | Roupen Karakhanian | Karakhanian is born in 1st January 1893 in Shulaveri (Shaumiani), Georgia previously in Russia, and learned to play the Kamanche at the age of eight. His teacher was his grandfather, a Russian troubadour known as Sanan. When Karakhanian was 10 years of age, he appeared in his first concert in Tiflis, for an audience that included a number of dignitaries. The mayor of Tiflis praised the young musician to the last of the Russian Tzars, Nicholas II and Karakhanian appeared in St. Petersburg during the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Romanoff reign in Russia. Karakhanian toured throughout the Middle East during the 1920s, giving concerts and composing music. After being exiled to Constantinople in 1921, Karakhanian took musical classes in Romania for 6 years. (1924-1930) In 1931, Roupen married Azniv Manoogian, a pianist, and the pair gave concerts in Europe and Asia as well as the Middle East during the 1930s. The Kamanche which Karakhanian played in his concerts was made in 1810 for his grandfather. Its gourd shaped body and long neck were ornately trimmed with mother-of-pearl. The neck finial was shaped like the famed Byzantine “onion domes” of his native land. The instrument is played with a bow, but unlike a violin is held neck-up. The body of the instrument supported on the knee. It produces a minor-key, wailing but melodic sound indicative of its Far Eastern origin. Karakhanian once explained that most kamanches have only three strings, but he modified his own instrument so it can be played with piano accompaniment. |

| Search | Add | 4 | Shadiya | Not afraid to experiment and not shackled by what is considered mainstream, artist/producer/writer/arranger/singer/executive, Shadiya, brings to the stage sultry, smooth jazz sounds and collectively represents every music style imaginable. Shadiya's music career began while singing in the church choir when the music director discovered her talent. Wanting to see that talent blossom, the director took her under her wing and paid for her vocal and piano lessons. From then on, with her mother and godmother as her managers, Shadiya was auditioning and singing for benefits such as the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, Dogwood Arts Festival, Dollywood (formally known as Silver Dollar City) and political and church groups. At age 13, she was challenged to audition for the Miss Tennessee Talented Teen contest. Winning the contest with her rendition of "Summertime" from Porgy and Bess, she went on to represent her state in the Hal Jackson's International Talented Teens Pageant held at the Coconut Grove in Hollywood, California. This one experience was a turning point in Shadiya's life. It opened many doors to building her self-esteem, to offering opportunities to interact and perform with some of the hottest stars such as [a=Janet Jackson], [a=Johnny Gill], [a=Jeffrey Osbourne], [a=Ready For The World], [a=Bobby Brown], and [a=DeBarge]. In high school she auditioned and won a place in the All-East and then All-State Chorus. Shadiya also enjoyed acting in highschool and tore the house down when she played Queenie in ShowBoat. Showing her versatility, she tried her hand at modeling and had various modeling jobs for Sears and other companies and organizations. At age 14, she recorded her first Gospel cassette titled, "Rise Again". After attending a year of college, she joined the Army as a medical specialist, paratrooper and served in the Persian Gulf War. She has appeared on World Monitor Special Broadcast, Montel Williams Show and CBS/Boston Children's Hospital Telethon. In 1989 she appeared in the movie, My Mother Wears Combat Boots with Barbara Eden (who played I Dream of Jeanie). Showcasing her writing skills, she co-authored a coloring book about children's cancer titled How My Life Changed. Independently released in 1997 was her first R&B single titled, "Love is the Answer". In 1998 her first R&B CD was titled "Songs of Love". In the year 2000, she wrote and released the Jamilia Cancer Fund CD with a beautiful track titled Miracles. The album, The Heart of a Woman, showcases all of her titles as songwriter, producer, arranger, and vocalist. This album incorporates easy listening, smooth jazz, gospel and a little R&B. Her influences include [a=Minnie Riperton], [a=Gladys Knight], [a=Aretha Franklin], [a=Natalie Cole], [a=Patti Labelle], [a=Angela Winbush], [a=Dolly Parton], and [a=Prince]. Shadiya's "Share My World" album cover is the poster child for Superdups advertisement all over the country. Shadiya was one of the top 12 DIY picks in the Sept/Oct 2004 Performing Songwriter magazine. She was also chosen as one of the artists to be heard on XM radio. Solar Radio has been great with playing Shadiya's music. Shadiya's albums are available at retail stores. New Jersey has been pumping her up at the Hip Hop Cafe, Cache, Casablanca, Mobile, Sambuca, Tribecca, Lace, Platinum as she incorporates more dance tunes. Shadiya was on the 46th Annual Grammy Awards entry list for her "Heart of a Woman" album and the 47th Annual Grammy Awards entry list for her "Share My World" album. Entered in the categories of Record of the Year, Best R&B Album, Best R&B Song, Song of the Year, Best New Artist, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. | |

With heart and soul, every concert they play is a communion with the life force and the audience. Based in Mallorca/Spain, The Jay Kaye Band was formed in 1989 by St. Louis (Missouri) born Jay Kaye, son of guitar legend Mary Kaye. "Everything I Touch (Becomes The Blues)" was recorded in 1996 with Toby "Tobiwonkanobe" Taylor on the drum throne and Mallorquin bassist Jaume Amengual "Jimmy Slick" Torres. Although the line up has changed throughout the years Jay's song writing and musical energy remain constant. During the summer of 2001 Jay teamed up with Brahm Heidl, not only for his powerful bass playing, but also as song collaborator and producer. The live acoustic recording was produced in 2002 with Diego Ferral on drums "Live & Unplugged". Shortly after that Toby re-joined Jay & Brahm to complete the triangle and "the big turnaround" was recorded and completed in 2005. Jay die on february 10th 2015 |

Also credited as Ex-Crocodiles. Although they were of the first groups to start the New Wave in Mallorca together with Forats Negres, [a=Zincpirithione] or Mac, no edit would achieve their first album until 1984. Shortly after recording the Maxi would be left without drummer and was when they met Manolo Iglesias, also known as [a=Manuel de Palma], former [a=Tequila (9)] then banished by Mallorca, who agreed to fill the vacancy. But it was not too long and barely played live together, shortly after would separate group. Anyway, the separation was not final since Ivan Tobias and Juan Manuel Riera coincide in Madrid and would return to play a season together. From this period would be born in 1988 his second Mini-LP. After the split Juanma continued but this time under the name The Crocodiles.
