Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 4 | Marty Kapugi | Martin Kapudjija | Martin Kapugi was born in 1910 in Chicago, Illinois. There he spent most of his life, with the exception of several years when his parent took him to their native Yugoslavia. There he attended school, learning the native language, customs, and folklore. It became a real asset to him in later years pursuing his music career. After returning to the United States, he lived in West Virginia, playing the banjo and saxophone, but soon turned to the tamburitza (brac). Since then he became a major figure in Yugoslavian and ethnic music as a singer and brac and cello player. As a singer, it is difficult to describe his voice ... an effortless strong tenor that has thrilled and inspired all who have heard him. There is no better description than "Yoy!" He formed his first tamburitza orchestra in 1929, with his brothers joining him in Chicago. In his orchestra he had many outstanding musicians such as Art Milacek, Vaso Bukvich, Djoko Dokich, Mel Dokich, Matt Jursich, and Bella Balog to mention a few. He began his teaching career as the mentor of his brothers, Frank, Louis, and Adam, and he taught young tamburitzans since 1950. He did much to encourage Yugoslavian youth and to keep the tamburitza alive in America. Several currently well-known tambura players began their career as Marty's pupils. In the late 1940s and 50s, his orchestra established a nightclub known as "The Tamburitza Cafe", featuring his tamburitza orchestra. Their music included Yugoslav and other continental styles, as well as light classics. Among many distinguished guests, Tamburitza Cafe was frequently visited by members of the famous Chicago Symphony Orchestra. In the late 1950s, Marty and his tamburitzans performed weekly for a radio program over radio station WTAQ. The program was called "The Balkan Musical Caravan", and was under the direct sponsorship of the Balkan Music Company of Chicago. The announcer was the well known, international music program director, Rudy Orisek. Rudy Orisek's "International Cafe" television show featured Marty's orchestra in solo performances as well as the accompaniment for internationally renowned artists, such as Martha Schlame, Judy Henske, the well known gypsy violinist David Romaine, and many more. Marty's work is preserved in his many recordings; so numerous, in fact, that it would be difficult to list them all. He made recordings for RCA Victor, Decca, Continental, Columbia, and Zora, but his favorite company was and still is Balkan Records. Besides his own recordings, he accompanied well known Yugoslavian artists such as Vinka Ellesin (crowned 'Queen of Sevdah'), Edo Lubich, Rasha Radenkovich, Urash Seferovich, and many more. He also arranged several Yugoslav songs, among them his favorite "Nema Miga Cange", recorded on Balkan Records. Marty and his tamburitza orchestra toured the United States several times, concertizing with many famous musicians, such as the late Dave Zupkovich. The friends and fans he made during these tours still cherish his recordings. Besides being a conscientious tamburas, Marty is also, as his many affectionate friends insist, a 'regular guy'. Besides being kind, good-natured, and helpful, he belongs to several Yugoslav clubs and other organizations. He was the first tamburas in the Chicago area that joined the musicians' union, and he was a member of the defunct Chicago Tamburitza Club. Presently, besides teaching young tamburitza orchestras, Marty plays for many Yugoslav programs, dances, weddings, and picnics. Members of his group are his brother Frank Kapugi, Urosh Mamula, and Steve Makarovich. Marty Kapugi and his "Sar Planina Orchestra" have done a truly extraordinary job in bringing tamburitza music to many Americans of varied ethnic backgrounds. His work will not be forgotten for many years to come. Congratulations, Marty, on a job well done. |

Cabot | Cabot started out as a weekend deejay for WALT when he was just 15 and still a student at Tampa, Florida's Hillsborough High School, and also put in some time with country station WYOU. He went on to establish [l1193424] and founded the [l512864] and [l66215] labels in the mid to late 60’s for recording local talent. No national hits resulted from the Paris Tower recordings made at H&H Studios in Tampa; however, Sundi came through with a huge smash in 1969, recorded at Charles Fuller Productions on MacDill Avenue. Sundi’s biggest (and only) hit is credited to Mercy, a local group from East Bay High School in Gibsonton. Their smash "Love (Can Make You Happy)" was released in two different versions – the first version, recorded and released by Cabot on Sundi Records, and a second version released on a major label, Warner Brothers, which signed the group for a full-length album (1969’s "Forever") while simultaneously releasing a re-recorded “Love (Can Make You Happy)” single. |

Lack of quality musical instruments but desire to create have made MUSIC from broken electric guitar and old soviet analog effects rack with using of computer as a mixer and synthesizer and drum machine. The single came from their October 10, 1967 session, which also included four gospel songs. The sessions were held at 919 Studios, at 919 North Road Street in Philadelphia. Céleste Boursier-Mougenot working what he calls himself sound forms "living" facilities that unfold in time and space correspondence, equivalences between sculpture and uncertainties and music. From the mid 1990s, Céleste Boursier-Mougenot, while musician for the theater, considering the space of the gallery and the museum as the singular locus of his compositions. Moving the question of musical performance and interpretation by the musician to the instrument itself, since it develops and sculptural work space in which diversions act on both the technology used and the processing of information. Performance without performersThe works of the artist playing on the illusion of live. They dig audio and visual traps, through filters and manipulations, in a world already deregulated. If it fits in an experimental music history and its sculptural and performative transmission short Cage Fluxus, via La Monte Young, the work of Céleste Boursier-Mougenot is not less contemporary of horizon saturated with information, signals, controls and information transfers. Fascinating in its simultaneously spectacular in its effects and thin and remote devices in its forms and passages between sound and space, it draws and plays the score of a sometimes uneasy dream simultaneously.

Search | Add | 4 | Brother M.A.N.I.A.C. | Born & raised in Washington, DC, this brother is on a mission to create awareness in his community by way of the hip hop culture; he is a brother who mesmerizes the ear with a sound that’s all his own; a brother who has a distinctive style of body moving beats and rhyme; a brother that’s not your conventional rapper. If you haven’t guessed, this brother is Brother M.A.N.I.A.C. – a Brother Mainly Addressing Negative Information About the Community. On top of telling symbolic stories of life, struggle, dreams, goals, aspirations and the plight of society through his music, Brother M.A.N.I.A.C. is constantly creating music for the Indie Community to reflect, vibe, and party to. This music inspires and grabs hold of all ages, genders, and ethnicities. As many indie artists continue to go with the flow of the music industry, Brother MANIAC makes it his business to go against the grain. He speaks out against issues such as drugs, crime, police brutality, homelessness, and many others. Brother M.A.N.I.A.C. has many accomplishments. In 2006…. Brother M.A.N.I.A.C. was nominated for the (Best Rap Recording) “Wammie” Washington Area Music Awards. His music created such a buzz from 2005 to 2006, he was awarded “Artist of the Year” by Hype Magazine. During his Army stint from 2003-2005, Operation Iraqi Freedom, he received numerous awards; 4 Army Commendation Medals and 5 Army Achievement medals for his dedication to the Maryland Army National Guard. Brother M.A.N.I.A.C. has also performed throughout the United States. Some notable performances have been at the Hip Hop Palooza Tour 2006(New York, NY; Philadelphia; Baltimore; Washington, DC; and Atlanta, GA); The Upper State Tour (Syracuse, NY; Rochester, NY; Toledo, OH); and The Grinders Tour of 2007(Washington, DC-Charlotte, NC- Atlanta, GA). Brother M.A.N.I.A.C. has opened for Petey Pablo and Bone Thugs in Harmony, just to name a couple. Brother M.A.N.I.A.C. mentions: We had a huge show in NC at the Triangle Record Pools Annual Summer Jam. The audience was like 10,000 people! The reaction was like something from a Jacksons Tour back in the day!! Conspiracy, his 2006 thought-provoking album, steadily climbed the charts and contained the Top 30 hit single “School No More” along with other smooth, R&B/hip-hop singles such as, I wonder, Eye Don’t Know (Reached 1 in Australia), Imagine, and Get Ur Groove On. These singles not only made people dance, but more importantly it touched on those important issues that he has continually worked to bring awareness to. His soon to be released project is entitled “Still Rising.” So other than the obvious. What are his career goals??? He firmly states: My goals are to continue to build Brother M.A.N.I.A.C. Music as a promotion company to assist artists in building their buzz and selling music either CDs and/or digital downloads along with merchandise, such as T-Shirts. I want to tour and have chart singles nationally for Brother M.A.N.I.A.C. and many of my closest associates & clients. My intentions are to complete a Hip Hop for the Homeless National Tour in at least 8 cities and in at least 3 international cities. I want to increase sales of CD’s and digital downloads around the globe. I also would like to continue to build upon the DMV Music Awards. I am definitely looking to maintain a presence on the national scene for 2009 and beyond. Brother M.A.N.I.A.C. is not afraid to express issues that truly affect society, and he does it well. “Hip-Hop music is not a thing of the past.” He declares. Brother Mainly Addressing Negative Information About the Community will not allow it to be. Search | Add | 4 | Jenny Wells Vincent | Vincent was born in Minnesota and raised in Chicago. In 1936, following her graduation from Vassar College, she and her husband, Dan Wells, visited the San Cristóbal, New Mexico, ranch of Freida Lawrence, the widow of D. H. Lawrence. In 1937, they bought a ranch in San Cristóbal and moved to New Mexico. Soon after, they founded a school on the property for grades 5–12 for boarders and daytime students. A classically trained musician, Vincent visited Taos-area schools where she played Mexican folk songs, although school administrators, pushing for assimilation, forbade speaking Spanish in classrooms. She also traveled from town to town, recording local musicians singing and playing old folk songs, frequently in Spanish. In 1943, Vincent became the Taos County representative for the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union, which, according to a biography, was "a milestone for her personal and political maturation. In this work she found meaningful expression and practical application for her growing political convictions.” That same year, Vincent joined the Communist Party. Vincent and Wells were divorced in the early 1940s. In 1949, she married Craig Vincent. They remained at the San Cristóbal property, converting the school to a guest ranch. Its mission was "not to raise livestock" but to "foster a community among progressives looking for a refuge from the battles of the Cold War".[5] Among other political and social causes, the Vincents supported the Chicano Movement and the 1951 Salt of the Earth Strike. Believing that music was a vehicle for social advocacy, Vincent played with like-minded musicians including Pete Seeger, Paul Robeson, Woody Guthrie, Malvina Reynolds and Earl Robinson. She died in 2016 at the age of 103. Her archives of original recordings were donated to the University of New Mexico’s Zimmerman Library
