Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Treetop Flyer | Straight from the heart of Orange County, CA. Treetop Flyer has been playing their own brand of punk music since 2009. Their songs reflect on the people they've met and the places they've seen. Coming from a waning music scene, Treetop Flyer look to set themselves apart from a scene diluted with mediocrity. Blending sounds of punk, rock, pop and alternative, Treetop Flyer appeals to more than one type of audience. Their first full length album "Certain Somethings" breathes new life into the Orange County music scene. With gnarly guitars, rad vocal harmonies, and slamming drums, Treetop Flyer is establishing themselves as a must-see act.

Search | Add | 2 | Luc Michalski | Born in St.Paul, Minnesota on March 19, 1988, Brent and Chris Michalski's first born child. Lived on an Air Force base in England for first 2 years, then moved to Ellsworth Air Force Base in Southwest South Dakota until he was in 4th grade. At EAFB Luc spent most of his time playing by himself or playing street hockey with older boys. Taught himself to read at age 4. Went to Francis Case Elementary until moving 3/4 of the way through his 4th grade year when his father left the military to work for Boeing and moved to St. Charles. In St. Charles, Luc spent lots of time playing hockey until he was 16. Not much really happened until then. He attended Harvest Ridge Elementary, Barnwell Middle School and then Francis Howell North High School. Luc joined the cross country team his freshman year, where he met lots of friends. Then he started smoking a lot of weed, grew his hair long and quit cross country. After enjoying speed in late middle school, weed was Luc's new love. Then that was pretty much his first 2 years in high school. Then he quit for a while, and his church wanted him to come back because they liked his "positive influence", so they paid for him to go to a week long camp in Colorado. Him and a friend went to said camp, and smoke hellaz weed and alleged opium. Luc's parents read his internet conversations, found out about the trip, and sent him to Midwest Academy, a private boarding reform school, although he'd been clean for 3 months. Luc stayed there for 6 months and 11 days, until his 18th birthday. His parents almost sent him to a homeless shelter, and wanted him to graduate the program. He said fuck that and walked out. They took him home. He lived at home from march until june when he moved above lemp arts center until moving back home in September. Sometimes the lesser of two evils doesn't seem as evil. Then once his acne cleared (which it didn't really), he moved the fuck out and currently lives at the Skullfuckeree with dumbass bleached hair.

Search | Add | 2 | Land Of Distraction | Land of Distraction | Land of Distraction were an 80's band formed by brothers Fitzjames and Sean Wood. Formed in Tottenham, North London. The brothers had moved to London from Lichfield, Staffordshire. As children they had lived in Africa (Kenya), Aden, (Yemen) and Berlin, Germany at the height of the cold war however although their songwriting drew on these experiences ('Steamer Point' the title of an an early song, is a location in Aden) their musical inspiration was mainly post punk. They had a polished pop sound sometimes wrongly described as 'funk' it lent itself more to synth pop. They were left wing in their political leanings. After some interest shown by publishing and record companies the band struggled to get recognition. Sean was encouraged by a friend to submit a demo tape to a newly formed record label New England Records. The brainchild of Mark Melton, New England Records signed the duo and Melton took on management duties. The song 'Distraction' was distributed by Strike Back who funded an accompanying video in 1986. Fitzjames the main songwriter and musician of the two always maintained the track was an album filler and sited 'Lovebearer' and 'It's a Lovely Day' as more likely to be hits. After some strong disputes about the way the video was produced the brothers felt they were not retaining enough artistic control. The follow up single 'Call My Name' was not finished in the studio (recorded at Woodbine studios in Leamington Spa under the production of John Rivers). Although Melton was keen to continue working with the band Fitzjames Wood opted to leave the industry and concentrate on full time bible ministry. The song 'Distraction' was written as a critique of the tabloid consumerist culture and Thatcherite Britain of the 80's. The band have put up some previously unreleased tracks on Youtube. An example of this can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yatAqKMZC6g |

Search | Add | 2 | Throbject | "We started playing as an instrumental 3 piece about 2 years ago with the intention of carrying the torch for late 80s prog punk rockers like King Sour, Bread Winner, Stinking Lizaveta, Jesus Lizard, and Buzzard, the result of which wound up being a Cave In (old cave in) meets Refused meets Quicksand and a Dischord punk/joy division kind of wash out. Then, we tried out Dave, and he complimented the sound enough and to the extent that we started laying off the progressive math/trickery and decided to write songs with actual verses, hooks, refrains and the like. Last year, we recorded a live 4 song demo (War God, Water, Firon, Figh on Hire) with Sniper Studios. In the end, we found that recording live (against the wizard's advice) was a bad idea because the drum mics picked up everything, but the record still sounds killer, respectively. In the interest of full disclosure, Vince warned us -- we did not listen, so the sound was not as clean as we would have liked. And, neurotically enough, we never released it until recently because we could not agree on a band name. On April 26th, we finished a 6 song release after learning from a few mistakes we made last year, and this record shows more maturity in writing and production on our part, but it could still use a little polish. We still cannot agree on a name that we all like, but we wanted to release 10 of our songs, so Throbject it is... Dave sang (ex Guilty Bystander, Craw Jack, Start To Fetish) Pete played guitar (ex One Pound Baby, Black Ranchero) Tim played drums (ex One Pound Baby, Black Ranchero) Ahmasi played bass (ex Craw Jack,The misanthrope Project (1% Records, Confederate Brotherhood, Open Grave Records, Sleeping Village Records, and Land of Smile Records) Sourvein (candlelight records), Innerface, and Crescent Fresh)"
