Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 29/07/2025
Found 602638 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 11 | Starpimp | Star Pimp | Star Pimp was one of those bands that defied any sort of good description that could really capture what they sounded like. The result of their legitimately weird brand of bizarro noise-rock left them without much exposure during their time together, and they are now one of those often overlooked and forgotten gems from the early to mid-nineties era. Star Pimp released their first single/EP, Treasure Trail, in 1992 through bassist Tom Flynn’s own record label Boner Records; the band eventually put out one full length for the label, titled "Seraphim 280z" in 1994 before making the move to Kill Rock Stars for their second and final album in 1996 titled Docudrama. |

Already a skilled guitarist, Jeff picked up DJing quickly. Combined with his ability to engage an audience with his aggressive mixing skills Jeff became known as one of Texas's premiere Techno DJ 's. Although Techno is Jeff's prime focus, he is also known for Drum & Bass sets. Years of dancefloor knowledge eventually lured Jeff into the studio where his appetite for dance music became an even deeper obsession. When left alone with his ideas, Jeff frequently locks himself in the studio to block any distractions in his life for the sole purpose of pumping out audio genius. This obsessive, compulsive behavior fuels his creativity resulting in a sound that reflects his unpredictable moods. |

Search | Add | 11 | Irene Coelho | The singer and radio host Irene Coelho was one of the greatest exponents of popular Portuguese music in Brazil. Although Brazil, throughout his life, he devoted himself entirely the spread of Portuguese culture. Literally, Irene changed the samba fado. Born in the city of Rio Claro to July 4, 1921, the artist was baptized as Irene Aparecida Raymondo. His father was Calabrian and his mother was Rio Clarense, Portuguese daughter of Leiria, a city of the province of Beira Alta. So I ran in the veins of the Italian artist and blood Lusitanian. Upon completing 12 years in 1933, he was living with his family in the railway village in Alto da Serra (current Paranapiacaba). To the amusement of the locals had the Club Lira Serrana where Irene had his first contact with fado - and was in love with this musical rhythm! When he was 15 years asked for the consent of the mother and stepfather to study singing and Portuguese guitar with Professor Alfredo Bastos, a renowned guitarist established in the city of Santos, São Paulo coast. Bastos ran a program in the Atlantic Radio entitled "Saudades de Portugal", broadcast weekly on Thursdays. It was here that Irene premiered at Radio. It was advertised as Irene Raymondo and always heard the following comment: "Raymondo is no last name for a singer." But soon arrumaria a new last name ... Around 1939 Irene began to study singing with Professor Joaquim Gallas, in São Paulo. He met Manoel dos Santos Coelho, a Portuguese "good looking", marketer and also a student of Gallas. The fact is that the two fell in love and eventually married in July 1940. After nine months of marriage, Coelho presented his wife with a radio program. They christened it with the name of "Portuguese Melodies". Premiered on Sunday, 13.4.1941 by the waves of Radio Cosmos. Irene always referred to the program as her "first child". At a time when women were repressed - most husbands did not like to see their wives become artists - the case of Irene was the opposite: Manuel was the biggest supporter of his wife, he contributed as can for her to become a "star" . In 1942 the couple Rabbit decided to try his luck in Rio de Janeiro - cultural and artistic hub of Brazil. The interpreter's intention was to make a record. It reached its end after three years, when she was hired by Continental label, on his first album 78s are set the fates: "Eternal Love" (Antonio Ferreira / Américo Morais) and "Your Guitar" (Belmiro A. Veiga). The monitoring was in charge of the guitars of Antonio Ferreira and Fernando de Freitas. Throughout the period that remained in the "Marvelous City" received the support of the singer Manuel Monteiro. In 1943, Irene received from Monteiro and Joaquim Pimentel slogan that accompany life, "Little Princess of the Portuguese Song". Back banner capital, Irene and her husband continued the "Portuguese Melodies" program, which throughout its history has gone through several radio stations. However, not only music lived the couple Rabbit: one occasion Manoel Monteiro advised his friends and colleagues to open a typical Portuguese restaurant, with music on weekends. The idea was to set up a fine place for frequency families of Portuguese-São Paulo community could spend a weekly average. Manoel Coelho has had experience in the business, always worked as a trader in the food industry. In 1953, it was inaugurated it "Marialva" Rua Luis Goes, 994 in Vila Mariana. Inside was a unique site dedicated to fado: the "Retreat Marialvas". Business followed the wind in saves and Rabbit couple toasted the anniversary of the IV Centenary of São Paulo with a new typical restaurant: the "Solar da Alegria" in 1954, located at Rua da Consolação, 394. They acted feedback artists and the very Irene Coelho (headlining). When "Portuguese Melodies" completed its silver jubilee in April / 1966 Irene and Manuel decided to treat yourself to a walking trip to Portugal. Her because Bilge strong desire to see the country that he loved so much and to review their relatives. Between the months April to June / 1966 traveled from end to end Portugal. In Lisbon, the two attended all fadista city environment. Irene sang, as a special guest in some fado houses. He recalled with nostalgia the great night out beside the diva Amalia Rodrigues. During his career he was the target of many honors. The singer recorded several albums 78s and LPs. Their biggest hits were "Nª. Sra. Search | Add | 11 | Orkater | Dutch theater company which originated from [a1346918]. The Orkater name is a combination of the Dutch words orkest and theater (orchestra and theatre). The company makes mostly contemporary music theatre, newly written and newly composed. Orkater cherishes the freedom with which performances are conceived, made and presented. The inevitable consequence is that no hard-and-fast policy can be followed when the repertoire is put together. In some Orkater productions, disciplines other than music theatre may have the upper hand. The location varies from a studio to a municipal theatre, from a museum to an outdoor summer festival. Although some would say that Orkater productions are always recognizable because of their "Orkater signature", they vary in character, scale and as to the cast. Orkater does not work with a regular group of performers - for many actors, musicians, directors, composers and text writers Orkater is the place where they can evolve their own ideas about music theatre. Orkater strives to present abroad those productions that are suitable for it, preferably in the language of the host country. Since the mother company [a1346918] (1972-1979) split to form De Horde (The Horde, 1981-84) and [a3939032] (The Mexican Hound, 1980 to present), there has always been confusion over the name. At the moment all productions are presented under the name Orkater, with the exception of those by writer/director Alex van Warmerdam, who operates under the name De Mexicaanse Hond. Orkater and De Mexicaanse Hond are grouped together under the umbrella of Stichting Orkater (The Orkater Foundation). Orkater has its own CD label ([l127050]). Over the years, Orkater productions have received critical acclaim from both public and press. Orkater has been honoured with numerous awards, national and international.

Their style was a mix of pop with Caribbean, African and Brazilian rhythms. The name of the band, in Myene, means "path of dance". With increasing popularity, they performed at the famous concert house Circo Voador. Their first album, eponymously titled Obina Shok, was released on RCA Victor in 1986. At a very young age she took part in various films and played a role in the operetta "Al’ashara al Tayyiba" written by Muhammad Taymur and set to music by Sayyed Darwish, a metaphorical work on the domination of the Mammelucks in Egypt. She got her first hit with the song "Awal ma jayt fy al mi'ad", composed by Riad Al Sunbati and played on national radio in 1952. Active during the golden age of Egyptian music, she was shown respect by cult figures like Mohamed Abdel Wahab and Umm Khultum, who said: "Shahrazad is the only singer besides me who can be on stage singing for hours". Collaborated with the best Egyptian composers including: Kamal Al Taweel, Baligh Hamdy, Mohamed El Mougy and Sayed Mekawy. In the early 1960s she began performing monthly concerts in the theaters of El Gomhouriaand Azbakeya consolidating her fame. Although much loved at her home country, Shahrazad is almost unknown to the Western public. Her fame has often been obscured by singers like Najat al Saghira and Umm Khultum. In 2007 the Egyptian Academy of Arts has honored Shahrazad for her exceptional contribution to the development of the fine arts. Shahrazad passed on April 6, 2013. Her niece, film director Heba Yousri, made a documentary on the life and career of the singer titled “ Stu Zad, Awal Ashq” in 2011. |

Search | Add | 11 | Mykynes | Marco van der Zwart | Mykynes is a project founded by [a=marco svarda] in 2005, to replace his former DJ Marin-handle. The name is derived from one of the Faroe Islands (Føroyar) and inspiration for it came from a visit to the islands. Unofficial releases of Mykynes started circulating in 2008, but never materialized into official signings. After 2011, Marco used his Mykynes-project merely for bootleg remixes and DJ-performances. The project returned to original works in 2018, after Marco joined the platform Choon. Some of the unofficial releases such as 'Gravity', 'Mykines' and 'For The Love Of An Angel' have been completely reworked and rereleased on Choon. 'Any Given Day' was the first fully original production as Mykynes, and got released on Choon in July 2019. While running a remix contest on Any Given Day, Choon went out of business. This forced the decision to use Any Given Day as the first official release on the newly established label [l=Premier League Recordings]. The track came out in November 2019, with an additional remix from [a=Lumin-8]. Not long after, the best remixes from the contest have been released on the label as well. With Marco Svarda used a bit broader in terms of genres and styles, Marco will continue Mykynes next to it, as a dedicated trance-project. The Mykynes sound covers a wide BPM range, and is characterized by dreamy sounds and tracks build as (part of) a journey. Very melodic, and emotional. |

Kavula has been writing lyrics since his teenage years but never showed to anybody, apart from a few exceptions. Till now...! The songs are about what songs are naturally about... love and hate, sense and nonsense, shattered dreams and missed aims, high flights and crash landings, desperation and hope, splendid successes and crushing defeats, the unbearable lightness of being and the hardness of breaking it off, lost principles and won experiences... to put it in a nutshell, about pretty much anything that makes us love life... as well as hate it. Search | Add | 11 | Mal Perry | Malcolm Levy | Mal Perry was born Malcolm Levy in 1939 (Died April 16th 2010) into Liverpool's Jewish community and his parents were proud of his excellent singing voice. He was writing songs from the age of 10, which impressed [a46481]. In 1958, he was second in a contest organised by the National Association of Boys Clubs and he went on tour with [a305596]. A businessman, Woolfe Bednash, wanted to manage him and, as Bednash's favourite singer was [a27516], he renamed him Mal Perry. Perry recorded for the new Fontana label, owned by Philips, and his first single was a cover of the novelty song, "Lollipop". His big voice was put to better use with "Make Me A Miracle" and he appeared on ITV's Cool For Cats and BBC TV's 6.5 Special. [a298528] invited him to do a record signing in his NEMS shop in Liverpool, but Perry's road manager left the records in the back of a car and they melted in the sun. He was featured in a rock'n'roll show at Liverpool Stadium in 1960 and also in the stage show Wackers' Playtime with [a390808]. He was backed in the Liverpool clubs by the beat groups, Cass and the Cassanovas and the Remo Four and John Lennon asked him, without success, to record the songs he was starting to write with [a35301]. Although Perry recorded five singles including his own song, "The Girl Next Door" and had a residency at the Astor Club in London, he soon gave up the business. "My father wanted me to sing in the synagogue and my mother didn't like me being in London," he said 2007. "I didn't like it much myself. Back then, they thought you were a second class citizen if you came from Liverpool." Perry went into the family retail business and then opened his own clothing store. He often sold suits to the beat groups and he also sang in synagogue choirs. In later years, he did a variety of jobs but the urge to perform never left him. He sang media ads for Colorvision and Johnny Goggles. |

Search | Add | 11 | Target Shoppers | Stoke-On-Trent noise rock trio. The music covers many genres and is really quite difficult to pigeonhole. Songs were often extremely short, one is a second long. The only instruments are guitar, bass and drums, with the three members swapping instruments on each track. A big feature is the use of absurd and grotesque lyrics, all written by Marky Loo Loo, mostly when he was a teenager. Aside from many tape cassettes and their split 7" with Melt-Banana, their only full length vinyl album was bankrolled and distributed by West Yorkshire experimental music and alcohol fanzine Just Glittering (the precursor to Idwal Fisher). After being on hold since 2001, the band came back together in 2011 and started work on a new album.

Search | Add | 11 | Miles Hunt's Lock Down Demo Society | A collection of songs written, demoed and recorded during the 2020 Coronavirus pandemic lockdown featuring material worked on by Miles Hunt, Luke Johnson and Morgan Nicholls. Miles Hunt stated "Initially I had only started to write and demo songs for a future Vent 414 record. However the band’s mighty powerhouse of a drummer, Pete Howard, is currently unable to record or program drums at his home, which led me to seek the help of Luke Johnson. Luke and I have known each other now for thirty-five years, him being the son of The Wonder Stuff’s first manager, Les Johnson. He is a truly remarkable drummer and has enjoyed an international career behind the kit with a variety of rockin’ bands. He is also something of a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. When not out on the road he is often to be found beavering away creating his own music in his home studio. As luck would have it at the time of my asking Luke to program drums for the new Vent 414 songs he was also sitting on a bunch of instrumental tracks that needed vocals adding to them. I offered my services to write lyrics, find the vocal melodies and add my nasal whine to his tracks. He accepted. So what you will find here are two separate streams of songwriting; the songs that I initiate for the future V414 record and the songs that Luke and I have worked on together for an, as yet, unspecified project."

Search | Add | 11 | Ben Wachter | Ben Wachter | Ben Wachter Profile: Ben Wachter,A.K.A Telairon, was born December 24, 1975, in the small town of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. Though he grew up listening to 80s synth pop, among many other genres of music, what intrigued and caught Ben’s attention most was music which said something, music which was complex, intriguing, lush. By the early nineties he started listening to artists like Age of Love, Cygnus X and Push, all of which turned him on to the (then) new world of electronic music. Ben started creating his own music on his PC around 2003. It has become his full time hobby and he has been making tracks and mixes ever since. He has worked at an independent university radio station and has played as DJ for eleven years, working mainly within the electronic genre. As a DJ and producer, Telairon works within various sub-genres of electronic music, trance being his main focus. |
