Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 10/01/2024
Found 593861 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 11 | Иван Жадан | Иван Данилович Жадан | Ukrainian, later American, tenor vocalist (born September 9, 1902, Lugansk, Ukraine – died February 15, 1995, St. John, Virgin Islands, USA). Born into a family of factory workers, Ivan Jadan learned the trade of blacksmith, but began singing in a church choir. During military service, he became the first singer of the regiment and joined a vocal group that performed operatic arias. In 1923, with a recommendation from Stalin's friend, Marshal Voroshilov, he was accepted into the Moscow Conservatory. Working as a blacksmith instructor at the air force academy to make ends meet, Jadan had his first chance to perform on the radio in 1926. A year later, he was accepted into the Bolshoi's operatic studio, then directed by Konstantin S. Stanislavky. In July 1928, he was hired by the Bolshoi Theater, first as singer of supporting roles, soon as a soloist, performing, for example, the "Song of the Indian Guest" in Rimsky-Korskov's opera "Sadko" and the role of Prince Sinodal in Anton Rubinstein's opera “Demon” (1929). Other leading roles include Werther in Jules Massenet's opera "Werther" and Lensky in Pyotr Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin." Jadan toured all over the Soviet Union. Between 1928 and 1937, he also recorded more than a dozen operatic arias and Russian romances for a number of Soviet labels. In 1935, he and several other Russian artists successfully toured Turkey where the first president of Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, presented him with a golden cigarette case. In 1937, Jadan enjoyed a huge triumph as Lensky in Riga, Latvia. He extended his stay so that he could perform in "Faust" and "Rigoletto" as well, and the Soviet ambassador to Latvia arranged for him to have his costumes for these roles flown to Riga on a special plane. Jadan's subsequent request, however, to extend his stay even more so he could also perform in neighboring Estonia and Lithuania was denied. Jadan fell into disfavor with Stalin, was no longer invited to the Kremlin, received lowered concert wages, and was allowed to sing only in "Eugene Onegin" and "Demon" from then on. The final break, however, came in 1941. Jadan had evacuated his family from Moscow to his dacha in Manikhino, east of Leningrad, when the village was caught in the German advance. Facing certain deportation to a Gulag if he remained in Manikhino, Jadan and his family followed the German army's retreat. In 1943 and 1944, he made a few recordings for the German [l=Polydor] label in Berlin. In November 1944, he performed at a concert for the Russian Liberation Army that Nazi Germany had formed out of Soviet prisoners of war. After the war, Jadan and his family ended up as displaced persons in Offenbach/Main. In 1948, he managed to immigrate to the United States. He was unable, however, to resume his singing career. He gave a few concerts before mostly Russian audiences, including one in Carnegie Hall. Then he moved the warmer climate of Florida, where he, accompanied by pianist Adela H. Gonzmart, gave a series of concerts between 1952 and 1954. The concerts were recorded by the [l=Sadko] label, but a comeback eluded him. In 1955, he relocated to St. John in the Virgin Islands, where he worked as mason on one of the Rockefeller farms. He gave his last concert on St. John in January 1966. |

Search | Add | 11 | Rita Saenz | Rita Sáenz | Born in Perú. Rita Sàenz, as one of the pioneer girls who sang a new wave in Lima. Chela Rosellò had done it before in 1959, when he recorded the Spanish version of the theme imposed by Doris Day "Que que serà serà". I remember it very well, because it was the first record of 45rpm, which I bought by collecting my tips. It was a recording made by Chela accompanied by the Manolo Avalos Orchestra. Returning to Rita, as you mention was crooner in several orchestras, one of his first singles for Sono Radio was the track "Los Pants". However his career takes on international dimensions, when he secures Gustavo Hit Moreno making the second voice, in the theme that the Puerto Rican Bobby Capò signed "Llorando me dormi". It turns out that Bobby Capò traveled to Argentina, to find a singer who would make him the second voice for his creation "Llorando me dormi", and correctly chose Violeta Rivas, an extraordinary balladist from the early 60's. As both were artists of the Rca Victor label, there was no problem, and they recorded this cheerful rock ballad in May of 1960, they were accompanied by the Argentine quartet denominated Los 4 of Luxury. The album was a great success in all Latin America, for the quality of its famous interpreters. Seeing such success, the teacher Enrique Lynch suggests to Gustavo and Rita, so that they join their voices and make a cover of that song that was imposed everywhere. So they did, the 45rpm single came out at the beginning of 1961, and it tasted so much that it competed seriously with the original version, and here in Lima, the album was sold as hot bread, since from those moments entered the fame through The radio, the discs, and the television. Rita must still keep that fine voice that made her so popular in those golden years 60 ' |

He grew up in 1960’s Gary, Indiana and was school boy friend’s with Gordon Keith and Ben Brown, so when they stated their own record label, it was no surprise that he signed to them. He had form a group, Robert Lee & The Exquisites and had been playing gigs around the city and on Chicago’s south side which in fact was only 10 miles away over the state line. His one release on the label got some play on local radio stations, but didn’t sell that well. By the early 70’s his talents as a producer had grown and he was often called on by other local groups to work with them. His next move was under the name of Lost Weekend another vocally stylish harmony group, who released on his own Lost Weekend records and one release on the Chicago label U.S.A. He then changed his recording name to General Lee and with his latest group The Space Army Band recorded three more 45’s on his label including the currently popular ‘Pleasure’. He spent another few years touring with this set up before retiring from the business.

Search | Add | 11 | Museleon | Odette Johnson | After 19 years as an electronic musician under another guise ([a=Soundician]), I finally decided to create a project which allows me to break away from some of the conventions that I have used elsewhere. I have been experimenting more with sound and to finally produce my own tracks. I use a range of field recordings, found sounds and hardware with minimal processing as I’ve always been interested in how sound can morph into beautiful complex patterns with the limited use of tech and processing. It’s the ‘small sounds’, anomalies, mistakes and the sounds ‘between’ that catch my ear. Many of the pieces I create are based on images and things I see, which act as a type of graphic score and increasingly I am using one field recording solely as the basis for the track I am creating, referring to my music as Sound Pictures. The majority of the music is created to be listened via headphones to get the full effect. [a=Odette Johnson] writes music and plays instruments, including keyboards, synths and samplers. |

Search | Add | 11 | Hills Christian Life Centre | Hillsong | Hills Christian Life Centre was the original name of Hillsong Church. The music ministry was known as "[a477770]", "Hillsongs", "Hillsongs Australia" or "Hillsong Music Australia". However, the early live album recordings from the church often included the church name on the front cover with "Hillsongs Australia" printed on the back cover, the CD face or the insert. Around the year 2000, Hills Christian Life Centre merged with Sydney Christian Life Centre and the church was rebranded as "Hillsong Church". The name Hillsong is now attached to all of the organization's brands, including its various church locations (ie. Although Techno is Jeff's prime focus, he is also known for Drum & Bass sets. Years of dancefloor knowledge eventually lured Jeff into the studio where his appetite for dance music became an even deeper obsession. When left alone with his ideas, Jeff frequently locks himself in the studio to block any distractions in his life for the sole purpose of pumping out audio genius. This obsessive, compulsive behavior fuels his creativity resulting in a sound that reflects his unpredictable moods. |

Search | Add | 11 | Pedro G. Marques | Pedro G. Marques started to show a deep interest in music since his early youth and began tooking piano lessons at the age of 8. Later, he joined the Vila Real Music Academy and, afterwards, the Porto Jazz School. In his teens, Pedro was a huge Metal fan but soon his horizons became wider, embracing almost every genre: Post-Punk to Easy Listening; Electronica to Jazz; Classical to Industrial. In 1990, Huska (a.k.a. Hüska Burra Mamô), a Goth/Punk/Alternative band from Vila Real, were formed. Pedro was the lead singer of Huska and the group disbanded around 1996. In 2003, he started to think about starting a solo music project and Dead by Request was born. In its beginnings, Dead by Request's music was deeply influenced by some well-known ambient/experimental icons such as Coil, Legendary Pink Dots, Klaus Schulze or Pete Namlook, but after a while its sound gained a lot more of a synthpop/electro-rock feeling, much in the vein of bands like Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, Clan of Xymox or Lou Champagne System. After composing several soundtracks for visual/photographic installations as Dead by Request, Marques formed If I Die in 2015. If I Die released four singles during 2015, but the project ended that same year. Pedro G. Marques is now making music under the name of Songs From Hidden Places.

Died on 29.12.1987, Philadelphia, Pennysylvania, U.S.A. [b]Not to be confused with his son [a=Kae Williams Jr.][/b] Jocko Henderson recalls when he ([a79233]) came to Philadelphia from Baltimore, there were three black DJ's on the radio, Ramone Bruce, Randy Dixon and Kae Williams himself. In the mid-1950's, Kae reached what would be eventually the high point of his career. He, and the group he was now managing, [a281955], had a huge pop hit with 'Get a Job'. The track sold several million copies in USA and abroad and topped the pop charts. He, also, managing a group called [a598250], which sold close to a million with the pop tune 'Let Me In'. These records made everybody money but him and he felt a little bitter that he never got his due moneywise or publicity wise because Kae didn't own the publishing copyright. At the time this type of thing happened to a lot of the black artists, promoters and producers in those early, pre-civil rights days of rock. |

Search | Add | 11 | Тибетски Сърца | Tibetan hearts are influential Bulgarian electronic music group, which according to some initiated the beginning of electronic music in Bulgaria. The musical group was established in 1991 in Sofia having five members, influenced by new wave style. Later on they elaborated their proper electronic dance music style that would become later known as Tech-Trance, characteristic mostly for the Bulgarian early electronic movement. A year later in 1992, brass-section joined the band and they started experimenting within the music style fusion. In 1993, two of the members - Peter Dundakov and Nikolay Madjarov, aka Faicheto decided to concentrate their creative efforts on electronic music but didn’t change the name of the formation – Tibetski Sartsa. They started working as sound engineers in the Gencho Stoev recording studio and shortly afterwards their first single was produced. It was called after the name of the formation, Tibetski Sartsa, and consisted of three compositions with total time 25 min: `The Age of Tea`, `Hearts of Tibet` and `Twist-a-Polka`. Very soon afterwards `Twist-a-polka` was filmed in a video. The release of the debut single was noticed by the specialized media and the duo was nominated for the Annual Music Awards of Rhythm magazine in four categories - Debut of the year, Single of the year, Video and Producer of the year. In the period 1994 -1998, Tibetski Sartsa were focused on their studio work, thus establishing themselves as one of the best studio teams in Bulgaria. Under the mark `Made by Tibetski Sartsa` appeared theatrical music, the soundtrack for the ballet show `Faust` and many others. 1997 was marked with the appearing of the name Tibetski Sartsa on the Bulgarian dance stage. They created a large number of songs for famous Bulgarian artists, such were the music for Marius' album Love War, remixes of Irina Florin's songs, the sound finish of Avenue's album Labyrinth, etc. In mid-1998, Tibetski Sartsa started working on their debut album `PsychoKinetic` which was released on May 29, 1999. The specialized media acclaimed the album with great positive reviews and Rhythm music magazine put Tibetski Sartsa on the cover of their June issue. `PsychoKinetik` was called the `Bulgarian techno sensation of the year`. It has been sold in more than 6000 copies so far. The participation of Tibetski Sartsa alongside with international techno stars like Josh Wink, Sven Vath, Takyu Ishino etc., in the Metropolis techno parties, brought them popularity abroad. Additional proof for their musical talent was a participation in a techno parade in Paris. It took place in autumn of 1999. As a consequence Tibetski Sartsa received international recognition. The duet faced up the new Millennium with compilation of compositions, they have made since 1991. `91:01` was a retrospective project of Tibetski Sartsa and showed the progress of the electronic music in Bulgaria during the decade, including experimental pieces such as their first single, the theatrical and ballet soundtracks. `91:01` was manufactured in only 500 copies with unique design - hand-made booklet, a real collector's provocation. The album was released for distributing only through the AveNew Productions' site.

Painted by a brilliant cascade of vibrant colors and raw emotion, Dustin uses a form of alchemy to transmute deep, relatable feelings and experiences into the medium of music. Fusing stylistic elements of both punk-rock and hip-hop, Dustin started making music in an effort to escape the realities of growing up “different” in small-town Minnesota. Generally secluded from others, he developed a variety of skills & talents, most notably playing the electric guitar. Around age 17 he started to experiment with singing and writing his own songs, mainly about the pains and heartaches of growing up. In March 2018 he released his debut EP titled Dream Trauma. Since then, Dustin has been making music under the artist name Drawn To The Sky, reflecting his endless ambition to reach the highest level of personal growth and human consciousness.

Search | Add | 11 | Marco Latrach | Marco was born in Santiago de Chile. With the age of 13 he started to play music. His work was always appreciated by the audience because of his simply and innate fascination for the sound. PLAYING British music, Funk and Rock’n Roll of the 70ies in 2006 he decides to keep these vinyl's in store to dive into the music of the future. In 2008 he made a significant creative change in the way that he started to produce his own music. He published his first EP‘s with the Chilean labels DNW Records, Agua & Sed and Real Music de Italia. In 2010 he made the first big step in his career as a music producer by signing an agreement with the Spanish label Formula Recs of Factomania. The record called «Chile» was released on 13th December 2010 and became a top seller. For this record he received a lot of support and gained recognition of several artists like Paco Osuna, Brothers Vibes, Marco Nastic, Paul Oakenfold and many others. His productions are strongly based in Techno and House, but were often influenced by elements of Rock’n Roll, Funk and Jazz. He also worked with experimental and organic sounds. In any case the groove of his creations stimulates an atmosphere of happiness and peace on the floor. Thanks to his excellent technique in playing music and his capacity of interacting with the audience, he generates exceptional moments on the floor. Listening his music invites you on a magical voyage full of intimacy, love and enthusiasm. Currently, he keeps himself busy with his own music productions and he works as a DJ for the best Chilean clubs, such as Club la Feria and Club the Sol, in May 2012 moved to Berlin Germany.
