Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 30/03/2026
Found 621899 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

| Search | Add | 11 | Johnny Nice | John Butler | American reggae dancehall deejay who became active in Jamaica during the late 1980s. Raised in Hartford, CT and Brooklyn, NY, he grew up around Jamaican communities and was heavily influenced by sound system culture. In 1987, shortly after his release from prison on a marijuana charge, he traveled to Kingston to visit a friend and quickly immersed himself in the local music scene. Living in the Waterhouse and St. Lucia Rd area near [a=King Jammy]’s studio, Nice befriended many prominent dancehall artists of the era. Admiral Bailey gave him the mic during a dancehall and Nice performed his own song, “Gal Nah Worry,” on Jammy’s sound system. The performance was well received by the crowd and caught the attention of King Jammy, who decided to record the track, marking the beginning of Nice’s recording career. |

| Search | Add | 11 | PandolfoPaolo | Paolo Pandolfo | The Italian composer PandolfoPaolo acquired the roots of his training in the study of the centuries-old tradition of musical art in the Veneto region, where the grandeur of the sacred creations forged in cathedrals has admirably merged with the instrumental and vocal virtuosity of the irreverent theatre of Baroque Venice. A fertile union between the sacred and the profane. It is in Padua, in the ideal triangle that unites the domes of the Basilica of Sant'Antonio, the Computational Sonology Center of the University and the Pollini Conservatory of Music, that a multifaceted and unprejudiced musical compositional concept is born, free to create with all genres available. After a difficult period in the second half of the twentieth century in which “cultured” music closed in an elitist and self-referential snobbery, PandolfoPaolo decidedly embarked on the path of music as a language of communication that is understandable for the listener and of involvement for the player; all always on the path of the search for quality. PandolfoPaolo, has been recognised in numerous national and international competitions with large works including the Te Deum for solos, choir and organ, winner of the Anima Mundi competition for the 950th anniversary of the Cathedral of Pisa and chaired by Sir John Eliot Gardiner (2014), success repeated in 2017 (the only case in the history of the event founded by the late maestro Giuseppe Sinopoli). The encounter with the magic of the recording room, with the alchemies that revolve around San Giacomo - Spazio d’Arte in Padua have led to collaborations with artists of other genres, providing the qualities of an orchestrator with the most modern sounds of the pop guitar and folding the sound of the strings to the needs of the historical narration of a soundtrack. A musical dimension without borders that runs through unexplored spaces of contamination and marriages with the sole intention of sharing the joy of creativity. ImageSonika produced and published the most significative recorded opera of the composer: Musica Sacra (Sacred Music) released in 2017 Pink Quartet (Concert for string quartet) released in 2020 Along The Path album from A.D. 1221 Il Primo Cammino di Antonio (The Path of Anthony) soundtrack released in 2021 Consolazione (Concerto for Piano) released in 2021 Trio d’Amore (Suite for Piano, Violin, Cello) Francesca’s Heart (Sonata for Piano and Violin) Piano Sonata Cold Winter, released in 2022. On June 2023 the Sacred Oratorio “Il Cammino di Antonio” was performed in the majestic Basilica of Sant’Anthony in Padua, and for the occasion ImageSonika released the video series which includes the concert, a docufilm of the story and a backstage documentary of the orchestra and its conductor. Lastly on January 2024 the Pandolfo’s last works as Demons and Angels - 6 Variations for piano on “Confutatis Maledictis” by W.A. Mozart, and the Preludes for piano solo (Your Hands, Ondine and Sabato) have been recorded and published thanks to the consolidated partnership with the pianist Élise Richard. |

| Search | Add | 11 | Alex Eisenring | Alex Roger Eisenring Castro | Mexican musician, composer, audio engineer and record producer. A pioneer in rock, prog rock, avant-garde, techno, electronic, soundtrack, and experimental music in Mexico. He started playing covers with a band called [i]La Marioneta Eléctrica[/i] which then in 1973 became a trio, [a7547606], influenced by free jazz, progressive rock and experimental music, with [a7547605] (drums), [a7547627] (bass) and Alex Eisenring (piano, guitar) as the founding members. The band had many different line-ups and instruments, even having up to 13 musicians at the same time. Alex was eager to adopt an electronic style for the band however his partners disagreed, that's why in the same night of 1981, [i]Queso Sagrado[/i] was being dissolved giving its last live show while [a1109492] was being formed by him along with [a4325278] and [a4325277], performing its first live show. Allegedly [m1577327] was the first techno music ever made in Mexico. Around this time, by seeing the inaction of major labels around indie Mexican rock projects, Alex felt motivated to intervene more as a producer to help promoting the underground music scene, that's how he started out some collaborations with [a595604], [a3739126], [a2323291], [a4568664], [a3738097] and [a204112], among others. Due to this lack of economic support, there was a multidisciplinary collaboration of different artists with their different projects not only with music, for example many musicians did also design, production, illustration, photography or typography for other colleague bands and artists, making very interesting concepts of musical styles and influences, art, culture and multimedia. In 1985, upon the disbandment of [i]Syntoma[/i], he also began to learn computer programming and building, mainly as a job, but with the aim of having a high-tech recording studio of his own and as a perhaps cheaper way to obtain a [i]Synclavier[/i] or a [i]Fairlight CMI[/i]: homemade. He began then to work as an engineer out of necessity, as there were no engineers specialized in experimental and electronic styles. In 1992 the first digital recording (with no tapes) in Mexico was being made in his home studio by his project [a4352070], co-founded by Alex with [a2185680] and [a724995]. In 2010, after being around twenty years inactive, just working in 3D animation, video editing and graphic design, he was invited by [a896838] and [a1272488] to collaborate with [a204112]. By 2012 they were performing for [a2608026] short films live projections as well as other silent short films from surreal cinema movement. In his most recent projects he co-founded, with [a233176] after his return to Mexico from being in NYC around thirty years, [a963983] and [a5658993]. |

| Search | Add | 11 | Anastasi Mavrides | Anastasi Mavrides | American musician, composer and pianist, born in Pennsylvania, United States. Composer and producer Anastasi (ah nah STAH zee) knew at an early age that his love of music would play an important role in his life. After years of learning to play a variety of instruments, he went on to study music and eastern philosophy in college. It was during this time that he began to experiment with music and sounds that might be conducive to relaxation and concentration. To support himself, he played in several rock and jazz bands and in 1978 he was back-up guitarist for the Beach Boys on their “Almost Summer Tour.” Later, he and Donna O’Sullivan formed a production company called Metromusic in Mill Valley, California, which went on to produce award-winning music for commercials and film. He also created The Classical Child Series, which is a whimsical reinterpretation of traditional classical melodies. He originally came up with the idea as a way to expose his newborn daughter to the world of classical music. The Nature’s Classics Series Anastasi recorded for Real Music is a collection of popular classical pieces creatively combined with sounds of nature. They include Country Morning, Country Evening, and The Pachelbel Canon with Ocean Sounds. The latter, having sold over 300,000 copies, proved to be one of Real Music’s hottest selling titles. On The Pachelbel Canon with Ocean Sounds, Anastasi took the timeless charm of this world class piece and developed an arrangement which expands on its already meditative and inspirational qualities. The simple, yet compelling “Canon in D” melody is coupled with gentle ocean waves which unfold throughout this instrumental poetry, conjuring up vivid imagery of a distant shore. On CinemOcean, Anastasi has taken ten of the most beautiful movie themes (from composers as diverse as Vangelis, John Barry, Ennio Morricone and Ryuichi Sakamoto) and masterfully arranged them into a poignant musical tapestry. Enhanced by the rhythmic caress of ocean waves, this album creates an ideal environment for quiet thought, reflection, meditation and encouraging the magic of one's own imagination. As Anastasi says of this work, “It's evident that music can have a powerful influence on the human spirit, so what I've tried to achieve with The Pachelbel Canon and CinemOcean is a soothing pocket of relaxation and beauty that can uplift anyone who listens and inspire them to their highest potential.” |

| Search | Add | 11 | Mykynes | Marco van der Zwart | Mykynes is a project founded by [a=marco svarda] in 2005, to replace his former DJ Marin-handle. The name is derived from one of the Faroe Islands (Føroyar) and inspiration for it came from a visit to the islands. Unofficial releases of Mykynes started circulating in 2008, but never materialized into official signings. After 2011, Marco used his Mykynes-project merely for bootleg remixes and DJ-performances. The project returned to original works in 2018, after Marco joined the platform Choon. Some of the unofficial releases such as 'Gravity', 'Mykines' and 'For The Love Of An Angel' have been completely reworked and rereleased on Choon. 'Any Given Day' was the first fully original production as Mykynes, and got released on Choon in July 2019. While running a remix contest on Any Given Day, Choon went out of business. This forced the decision to use Any Given Day as the first official release on the newly established label [l=Premier League Recordings]. The track came out in November 2019, with an additional remix from [a=Lumin-8]. Not long after, the best remixes from the contest have been released on the label as well. With Marco Svarda used a bit broader in terms of genres and styles, Marco will continue Mykynes next to it, as a dedicated trance-project. The Mykynes sound covers a wide BPM range, and is characterized by dreamy sounds and tracks build as (part of) a journey. Very melodic, and emotional. |

At a very young age she took part in various films and played a role in the operetta "Al’ashara al Tayyiba" written by Muhammad Taymur and set to music by Sayyed Darwish, a metaphorical work on the domination of the Mammelucks in Egypt. She got her first hit with the song "Awal ma jayt fy al mi'ad", composed by Riad Al Sunbati and played on national radio in 1952. Active during the golden age of Egyptian music, she was shown respect by cult figures like Mohamed Abdel Wahab and Umm Khultum, who said: "Shahrazad is the only singer besides me who can be on stage singing for hours". Collaborated with the best Egyptian composers including: Kamal Al Taweel, Baligh Hamdy, Mohamed El Mougy and Sayed Mekawy. In the early 1960s she began performing monthly concerts in the theaters of El Gomhouriaand Azbakeya consolidating her fame. Although much loved at her home country, Shahrazad is almost unknown to the Western public. Her fame has often been obscured by singers like Najat al Saghira and Umm Khultum. In 2007 the Egyptian Academy of Arts has honored Shahrazad for her exceptional contribution to the development of the fine arts. Shahrazad passed on April 6, 2013. Her niece, film director Heba Yousri, made a documentary on the life and career of the singer titled “ Stu Zad, Awal Ashq” in 2011. |

Upon completing 12 years in 1933, he was living with his family in the railway village in Alto da Serra (current Paranapiacaba). To the amusement of the locals had the Club Lira Serrana where Irene had his first contact with fado - and was in love with this musical rhythm! When he was 15 years asked for the consent of the mother and stepfather to study singing and Portuguese guitar with Professor Alfredo Bastos, a renowned guitarist established in the city of Santos, São Paulo coast. Bastos ran a program in the Atlantic Radio entitled "Saudades de Portugal", broadcast weekly on Thursdays. It was here that Irene premiered at Radio. It was advertised as Irene Raymondo and always heard the following comment: "Raymondo is no last name for a singer." But soon arrumaria a new last name ... Around 1939 Irene began to study singing with Professor Joaquim Gallas, in São Paulo. He met Manoel dos Santos Coelho, a Portuguese "good looking", marketer and also a student of Gallas. The fact is that the two fell in love and eventually married in July 1940. After nine months of marriage, Coelho presented his wife with a radio program. They christened it with the name of "Portuguese Melodies". Premiered on Sunday, 13.4.1941 by the waves of Radio Cosmos. Irene always referred to the program as her "first child". At a time when women were repressed - most husbands did not like to see their wives become artists - the case of Irene was the opposite: Manuel was the biggest supporter of his wife, he contributed as can for her to become a "star" .
