Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 24/10/2024
Found 596840 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.
The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.
These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.
Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.
Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.
There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.
One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report
We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.
Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?
Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search | Add | 2 | Powerscape | POWERSCAPE – it’s a project of the producer Laars K. and a talented vocalist Daria. The first track of this project it’s a classic dream house – vocal trance composition that turns out the listener from surrounding world and brings him to the other secret dimension, where amazing images and sensations come into consciousness and live there for a long time. Recommended to all who loves Armin van Buuren, Tiësto and Paul van Dyk.

Search | Add | 2 | The Unhooked Generation | Unhooked Generation AKA The Unhooked Generation Show Band, were an eight piece group formed out of Jerry Green’s group The Sonic Sounds in Louisville, Kentucky, USA. Along with Jerry the band included several other members that would progress to make a mark in the business. In the early day the group rehearsed hard and played any and all the gigs they could around their home town. The band’s members waxed and waned over the years but included, Ron Lewis, Linda Blakely, Ervin Garr, Angelo Lovely, David Pepper, Donna Mason, Crystal Hals, Barry Johnson, Fred Thomas, Marion Hester, Larry Smith, John Clay & Izzy Sutton. They built up a cool reputation as a great show band, playing a great funk sound in the Earth Wind & Fire vein. In time they cut a number of tracks but none made it to vinyl until they saw posthumous release as a CD LP ‘Thanks for the memories’ in 2001. Ron Lewis decided to release two of the Lo-Fi deep funk sides from their catalogue that he had been asked for many years for in 2016 on single

Search | Add | 2 | Lois Wann | Lois Wann (30 January 1912, Monticello, Minnesota — 23 February 1999, Bronxville, New York) was an American oboist and distinguished pedagogue, one of the first female musicians to hold principal positions at major US orchestras. Wann taught at the [l=Juilliard School] in New York between 1936 and her retirement in 1992. She began playing piano at six and later self-taught on oboe; after graduating from high school, Lois Wann studied both instruments in Los Angeles. In 1933, she relocated to New York and attended the [l=Juilliard School], graduating in 1936. In pre-war America, major orchestras still barred female instrumentalists from entering; thus, Wann began her career in a few all-women ensembles, such as the Orchestrette Classique and [a=Antonia Brico]'s New York Women's Symphony Orchestra. In the mid-1930s, Lois got her first position with the [a=San Diego Symphony]. In subsequent years, she served as the principal oboist with [a=Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra], [a=Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra], [a=New York City Ballet Orchestra], [a=Marlboro Festival Orchestra], and Chautauqua Symphony. Lois Wann regularly participated in the [l=Aspen Music Festival] between 1951 and 1957 and collaborated with many prominent chamber ensembles, including [a3466526], [a=Budapest String Quartet], [a=Juilliard String Quartet], and [a=The Cantata Singers] conducted by [a=Alfred Mann]. While primarily associated with early music repertoire, Lois Wann championed many contemporary works. In 1947, she premiered [a=Alberto Ginastera]'s Duo for flute and oboe with [a=Carleton Sprague Smith]. A few composers commissioned exclusive compositions for Wann, including [a=Darius Milhaud] with his Sonatina for Oboe and Piano (1954) and [a=Sam Morgenstern]'s five-movement Combinations for oboe & strings. She accompanied composer [a=Mieczyslaw Kolinski] in the recordings of [m=2963539] in 1959. Besides teaching at her alma mater, Juilliard, for over 55 years, Lois Wann held faculty positions at [l=The Mannes College Of Music] (1946–76), [l=Vassar College], Henry Street Settlement, and other institutions.

Search | Add | 2 | Lord's Family | German hippy commune band who existed from 1971 to 1974. English translation of the rear cover notes of their sole release "LORD'S FAMILY was a music community that was founded in Nuremberg in 1970 and existed from 1971 to 1974 in Beilngries in the Altmühltal in Bavaria. The group's mystical and ecological identity, which was one of the first bands to combine German-language lyrics with idiosyncratic music, made it a forerunner of the ecological, green movement. The family was inspired by their psychedelic experience, the influence of Christian mysticism and Eastern spirituality. From Munich to Heidelberg, from Erlangen to Berlin, LORD'S FAMILY won numerous fans through their live concerts, but never recorded an album. The musicians hardly cared about the music market and the musical mainstream. Their special feature was the combination of improvisation as a continuous spontaneous re-creation with composed choruses and narrative texts as well as the integration of Bavarian folklore.TV stations as Radio Bremen and, the Bavarian Radio and numerous print media had reported on the artistic, social and ecological experiment of the Bavarian commune, the "Monks in Jeans." The municipality even published its own newspaper "Family Press", to earn money for the "Schlössl", an old hunting lodge that LORD'S FAMILY rented in Beilngries until 1974. Although the band was not part of the record market, they already made forerunners of video clips of the improvised music. Many bands from the Krautrock era made station during their tours in the "Schlössl", which was followed by regular return visits of the music-making community.Musically, the musicians moved somewhere between Amon Düül II and Popl Vuh, but the improvisation experiments of the band were deeply independent. In 1974, the municipality dissolved, from the former members Sepp Kuffer and Georg Frisch are still musically active.Sireena Records is proud to present this record. The music comes from tapes owned by Sepp Kuffer, who certainly do not have high end quality but are a real sound document - from a creative time, when so much was possible!"

Search | Add | 2 | L.R Marsh | L.R Marsh | “Australia’s loudest one-man-band” L.R. Marsh captures the heart and soul of early 20th century delta blues and delivers it through raw slide guitar work on a classic steel resonator and cigar box guitar, directly into the 21st century by way of multiple guitar amps, earth-shaking guitar tones, and thundering foot drum grooves. Classics such as Muddy Waters and Robert Johnson are apparent in LR’s sound, however it is the foot-stomping wall-of-sound that really demands attention onstage, with influences such as Gary Clark Jr, The Black Keys, 20 Watt Tombstone, The White Stripes, and 90’s stoner rock legends Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, and Fu Manchu making a solid presence in LR’s stage show. LR has been touring the country almost non-stop for the past four years, releasing two albums and appearing at festivals such as Mitchell Creek Rock N Blues, Wolvi Stomp, Brisbane Festival, and Port Adelaide Blues Festival. His performance involves raw soulful vocals paired with heavy guitar riffs, performed while playing drums with his feet simultaneously without a single loop pedal or backing track in sight, to create what punters have described as “a sound that would put a five piece band to shame”. LR’s career has seen him tour nationally and internationally, including headline shows all over Australia and Europe, and has recorded with world renowned producer Sylvia Massy (Johnny Cash, Prince, Tool, System of a Down, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and more) in the USA. More recently, his latest studio album Inside Outlines garnered national and international recognition, with single “Devil & the Black Dog” reaching number 9 on the Amrap Charts in its first week. “Inside Outlines is a beast of a blues rock album from guitarist, singer/songwriter L.R. Search | Add | 2 | Dawn's Moment | Dawn's moment is a German progressive rock band from Senftenberg. The success of the band is based primarily on the broad mix of styles, which is due to the different origins and backgrounds of the individual musicians. So Dawn's Moments music elements from rock, metal, funk, but also classical music can be found again. Band history Dawn's moment was founded by the two music school teachers Martin Kotte (guitar) and Riccardo Gunder (piano) in autumn 2003, at the music school Oberspreewald-Lausitz. After several reshuffles, the band seemed to have found in 2008, by adding Alvaro "Oso" Crespo, Florian Reichelt and Björn Kerstan. With the release of a first demo CD in the middle of the same year, the quintet made itself at regional concerts and even in the national music television of Ecuador, the home Crespos, a name. In the summer of 2009, the band began recording for their first album "Listen". The fine tuning lasted until December 2009, so that their debut in early 2010 could be published. The record release party took place on January 30, 2010 at "Hühnerstall" Senftenberg.
