Discogs artists that do not appear to exist in MusicBrainz

Report created based on data in MusicBrainz as of 05/01/2026

Found 619583 artists, we show 1000 artists per page.

The report is not continually updated so may not reflect the current data within MusicBrainz and or Discogs databases.

These are Discogs artists not currently linked to a MusicBrainz artist, and we have been unable to find a potential link for either.

Many of these artists probably are in MusicBrainz in some form but they are not currently linked, the list is ordered so that Discogs artists with the most number of single artists releases are listed first on the basis that these artists would be of more interest.

Some problems will just be due to deficiencies in the Discogs to Musicbrainz artist matching algorithm employed by Albunack.

There are also timing issues as this report is not updated immediately so will not reflect recent modifications and additions to MusicBrainz and Discogs.

One issue in Discogs is they handle artist credits differently so a Discogs name consisting of multiple people is probably represented on MusicBrainz as two individuals, but we try to filter these out of this report

We have also omitted artists that are not unique in both MusicBrainz and Discogs because these artists are probably not missing just more difficult to match up.

Another issue is that some Discogs artists have multiple ids with one id just redirecting to the other, this is the case with Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, do we add both links to MusicBrainz ?

Limited report to artists with at least two single artist releases for now.

Search Add 2 Von Cassidy "Von Cassidy" is a UK-based indie rock band, born out of Jersey and founded in 2019. The group of four friends consists of Joshua Venton (lead vocals, guitar, keys), Christopher Nutter (percussion, vocals), Martin Perkins (guitar, vocals) and Jordan Rondel (bass). The boys developed their chemistry for generating bouncy, melody-infused songs in an old warehouse in the British countryside back in the summer of 2019 and have ever since been delivering an interesting marriage of pop-fueled hooks and off-beat subject matter. Exactly a year later, they had generated enough material to begin formally releasing music before producing their debut album "Keep The Party Polite" straight out of Abbey Road Studios.
